The only thing I didn't like was that they give you that spicy mustard sauce instead of yum yum. And what happened to those yummy mints they used to have at the front?? Other than that, it was so good. Everything was tasty. Our chef was entertaining. We had fun with him.

My wife had never been to the House Of Japan, so I took her last night and we mostly had a nice dinner. We arrived at 6:30pm and were shown straight to our seats. They placed us on the left side of the chef and we quickly had drinks and some soup and salad in front of us. This is my problem with the way the restaurant works. Everything is done super quickly. I understand they want to get us in and out as soon as possible, but at times it almost felt like we were being pushed. A few moments later the chef pulled in and started his preparations. He was a nice gentleman but almost seemed shy, which I thought was odd, but who was I to argue? He did a fine job putting our meals together, adding a few tricks of the trade, but he was not overly flashy. We ordered the Imperial Feast for two, which turned out to be a lot of food. The shrimp and lobster were great, the steak was good and the chicken was ok. The fried rice was great and the egg yolk sauce was my wife's favorite. We both had take home boxes when we left. Total time spent there was 50 minutes, which was not surprising as they were boxing up peoples leftovers before we had even finished our desserts. To me, this restaurant seemed more like a factory than a fine dining establishment. I noticed a small, older woman stalking around the perimeter of the tables, wearing a scowl, who seemed to be an owner/manager. All of the waitresses and serving staff were very aware of her presence and it made me wonder what it was like for them to be working here... Overall, the food was good, the service was light speed fast and everyone was very nice to us, but I still felt a little uneasy as we left. I also felt like we never really had any time to digest our food or relax.

Was decent! We had a reservation and was seated fairly quickly. The menu is very affordable for this type of cuisine. The service was very friendly. The biggest drawback that my entire meal seemed overly salty. It made much better leftovers as it gave time for the flavors to settle. I'd definitely come back to give them another try.

Upon entering, the hostess and a server were arguing and it took the bartender to get them to stop and greet me. The patron next to me had ordered a beer and never received it. The waiter got the majority of the table orders wrong. During the cooking, our chef tried very hard to do his best and you could tell he was relatively new. Other chefs were throwing food at each other through the evening, table to table. One if the chefs had thrown food that landed on the cooking area. Our chef was oblivious to the fact this happened. Fortunately it was moved to the disposal area. This practice was definitely not for show and it made me focus on what was next to hit our table. Drink refills were very slow to take place. The food was average. I do not recommend this for any out if town guests.

We had a decent meal here. We decided to come for a holiday dinner with some of my husband's coworkers. It was very busy and ended up waiting 20 minutes past our reservation. Our server was fast and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for refills. They had some fancy looking drinks. I ended up getting one of the tropical ones. It was super sugary but cute. The food itself was pretty decent. We all ordered hibachi and I got the hibachi salmon. The salad had way too much dressing on it. I could hardly eat it. Everything else was okay. There wasn't really much that stood out. All of my food was cooked well. It was a lot of food and I ended up having to take some home. I wouldn't mind coming back here again. I'm sure it's a lot less busy on off days and we had no major issues with our food or service.

It's A-OK for the area. We made reservations for a large group on a Friday during lunch rush, and they got us right in, which was a HUGE surprise as the place was packed. Our chef was pretty boring. Flipping eggs on a spatula was about all the excitement our table saw, which is really disappointing given most other hibachi joints in Central Ohio at least do a little more than that, but perhaps, they save the excitement for dinner. I ordered the scallops with egg yolk sauce, and it wasn't bad at all. I really enjoy how they cook their fried rice here, but GOD it's so unhealthy. The scallops were a little over cooked, but since our table ordered nearly every item off the menu.. I suppose the chef had a lot going on, so I won't complain too much. The Egg Yolk sauce is good, a little overwhelming as a couple other reviewers have stated, but it was not too bad. I will say, the lunch prices were pretty good, because I nowhere near finished my meal, and had plenty to take home for dinner. After meal, drink and tip I was teetering around $18 for my meal all together. Higher end price for lunch, but again, it wasn't too terrible. If you're looking for a place to get in and out quickly, then this is really not the place. Everyone I know who goes here for lunch usually comes back late to the office. Again, A-OK, but not central Ohio's best... at least.. not anymore. Oh yeah, and for all the business professionals sneaking in here for lunch before an afternoon meeting.. Beware.. you will stink like oil and smoke afterwards for the rest of the day.

If you haven't been here, it's a great experience! They cook right in front of you and do cool/funny tricks with the food and utensils. It's especially fun if you come with kids, they love watching it. It's a little pricier, but the quantity makes it worth it. You get soup, salad, your choice of meat, veggies, rice, a few pieces of shrimp, and orange sorbet. This is definitely fun for groups to go out for a fun dinner night or special occasion! Especially for birthdays.

The atmosphere and interior is very nice. The server that we had was okay. He actually messed up and forgot to bring the sushi we ordered for our party. He didn't really show any excitement or personality. The chef was good and entertained us well. The food was okay like normal hibachi. I was sad about the absence of yum yum sauce but I got over it. The plates was very small, especially those who order double fried rice. I would suggest putting the rice in a bowl instead of our plates. Overall the place looked very nice with below average service. Food was good if you like hibachi.

Omg what a wonderful place the cook hurt his hand in the back and had to leave and i slim ply asked the server if everything was ok and the owner came out and gave everyone free drinks and said she was sorry for it taking so long they treated us like royalty I felt like i was on cloud nine the food was supreme the steak was cook like I wanted it and the lobster was perfect what a wonderful place to take anyone either a spouse or family your gonna have a great time and get really full the drink were wonderful the sushi was awesome I couldn't of asked for a better time thank u house of Japan for making my night special I'll most definitely be returning. Also we usually get the imperial feast and it does not come with plum wine any more so don't expect it other then that it was a wonderful evening.

The food was okay. I ordered the hibachi chicken with steam rice. It was a little bland and dry in my opinion. The restaurant left a lot to desire. Bad first impression from the get go. The hostess had a bad attitude. We were a group of 6 and we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. Then to add insult to injury they sat 2 strangers at our table. It felt mildly awkward. It was uncomfortably warm. The tables were really close to one another making it worse. The noise level was really loud, impeding conversation with my group of friends. The cook was not as professional as I would have liked. The men's restroom is tiny for such a large restaurant, one of each, and the lines long. I don't know if I will visit again.

Were there with family including three young children-from two to six- and had a fantastic time for my birthday celebration. The service was quick and the chef was highly entertaining and played to the kids who were mesmerized. The food was excellent and well seasoned. We mostly had variations on steak and chicken. There was just soooo much. All three families took home extra. I had noodles with vegetables and could not get through even half. This is a great place for celebrations, there were lots of kids, lots of noise and lots of flames, and everyone seemed to be having fun. Not cheap but good for a special occasion splurge. The kids chocolate milk came with little cocktail umbrellas and that was a great hit!

I have frequented this restaurant several times a year since 1998. I love the food so much that I often visited on my birthday. However, the customer service has been atrocious recently! In what may be my final visit, we waited over 1 hour 50 minutes and never received our hibachi meals. All but 1 couple at our table was very frustrated and asked to leave after already being served a salad and soup. The staff was extremely unapologetic and unhelpful. The manager did not visit our table or may any effort to retain our business. I am so disappointed.

Was not impressed...a lot of rice, very little shrimp and horrible shrimp sauce! Staff was polite and facility clean.. Definitely first and last visit...

We had my Nephew in from the UK thought this might be a fun place to take him --You know something different. Sadly I was wrong We used to go to the Fugiama I remember it being really entertaining, We made a reservation for 7:30 we arrived around 7:15 and decided to have a drink at the bar----- so far so good people were getting seated fairly fast so I thought we should seated quickly -----wrong --- people that came in after us were getting seated before us I asked the hostess when we were going to get seated "soon" was the response --57 minutes later we were seated. The meal was poor along with the Chef, I can bang utensils on a hot plate, the steak was over cooked and very salty, the vegetables were limp and over cooked --- All in all a pretty lousy meal . I would not recommend this restuarant.

In Florida we have Kobe's - so we will see how they stack up to them here :) Just to update this experience - HORRIBLE! The food was blah. The sauces were extremely runny. So bad that I took a cpl of Bites and was done. I didn't even take my leftovers.

After patronizing hoj for 15 years, we do not understand a recent change in the manager's behavior. Have only had 2 complaints in 15 years, both occurring this year and am astonished to be told by the manager that we are "complainers". The first complaint was an inedible steak (all gristle) that even the chef had difficulty slicing. The manager told us there was nothing wrong with the steak and refused to provide another steak that was edible. The second complaint was about a customer who was angry with the chef because the egg yolk sauce was not served in a bowl. The anger escalated from yelling to threats. No one from the restaurant intervened although 3 employees were standing within 1 to 3 feet of the yelling customer. After we paid for our meal, we had to ask for the manager because she had been avoiding our table. When she did stop by, she told us it was up to us to request the manager while the incident occurred. No apologies or assurances were offered and, instead, she began bashing customers. Needless to say, we will not be back!

I am really disappointed! I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the recommendations here on Yelp and from friends on Facebook...Not only was our dinner so so but it was my father's 75th birthday and no one came to the table to sing happy birthday to him..they did come for the three people who were also sitting with us..it was really awkward but we made a joke out of it. I even went to the hostess to tell her to remind the waitress about my dads birthday..Our rice had a lot of under cooked grains mixed in..the shrimp appetizer with the egg yolk stuff on top was just plain nasty..I think it was under cooked as well.. In my opinion, try somewhere else.

Hose of Japan is pricey and slow but it's worth it! The hibachi food is prepared in fron of you. Some chefs have put on fantastic shows, other just cook. I'm always shocked by how much butter, oil and soy sauce they use in every dish. Go for lunch for a less expoensive dining option.

  • Matt G.

The food preparation is a great show in itself and the chefs are really fun! This place is kind of pricey, but really great for group gatherings. The food is all high grade, but whoever said the egg-yolk sauce was great should probably get their taste buds checked. I'm a very open-minded eater. I read reviews saying that I "must try the egg-yolk sauce. It's the best!" Needless to say, it almost ruined my meal. It has the consistency of lard and is overly salted. I say give it a shot, but get it on the side, and be ready to hit the bathroom about 30mins later! Overall, it was a good group experience and everything was really good (minus the egg-yolk sauce).

For a father-daughter dinner, we decided on House of Japan, since we were in the area shopping for Christmas gifts. We were seated immediately, and offered hot towels for out hands - a nice touch! Of course I had high hopes after that. Alas, it wasn't that great. The food was oversalted, the chef wasn't very entertaining -- something important with a hibachi grill, and to top it all off, my father and I both got ill that night! Needless to say, I don't think we'll be returning.

Better than most of the other Japanese steakhouses in Columbus. Usually crowded so plan ahead.

Bloated and smelling of cooking oil, I made my way to my car and got in. I cradled my doggie bag of fried rice with steak and chicken. Doggie Bag? SUCKERS! Ha ha ha. I don't even have a dog. This food's all mine. I drove home and wasted no time making a pig of myself with the box of food I had just had packed up 30 minutes earlier. I couldn't help myself. I wasn't hungry but it was wafting up to my nose all the way home and well, like I said, I just couldn't help myself. It was so good. And so ends another great meal at House of Japan. Which BTW is a great place for lunch. $19.95 for the lunch for two. Plenty of food. Too much to be truthful. You get your salad and then your main course is cooked before your eyes. No charge for the spatula tapping, shrimp tail flipping, onion volcano fire spewing fun. Besides that, you get the big bon fire right in front of you. WHOOSH! and then it's gone, the fire that is and maybe your eyebrows too. All in all it's a pretty good place to eat. Different than your typical restaurant. Seating is communal, so be sure to grab a seat between people you know or you'll be sitting next to a complete stranger. Which can be good but not usually. I'd recommend going on your day off too as you will smell like you'd accidentally sprayed yourself down with Pam instead of deodorant as the cooking oil gets you covered in a fine mist of oil. You will smell funny but your skin will be so soft for days afterwards.

Your typical Japanese steakhouse and flare but good service and good food. A tad saltier than I like but good overall

The yum yum sauce is like water, the stake sauce has no flavor, the fried rice is marginal at best. The soup is bland, ordered the eel roll was a 3 out of 10. The salad was good though. If you are looking for good Japanese food goto Sakura. Would not recommend house of Japan.

Anniversary meal with my wife on 6/7/14. Our waitress was very pleasant. The cook was more interested in what was going in at the other tables. Very little interaction with the guests. I expected more at dinner. I had the steak and shrimp. Last time I order the steak. Meal was as expected. Would not go back.

I came here for lunch on a Thursday. The service was pretty slow, up until the chef arrived at our table. I had the spicy tuna sushi (yum) and the hibachi steak (eh, it was okay). I was bummed to find out that they don't serve the yumyum white sauce(at all) or the grilled veggies with their lunch meals. I am planning another trip here tomorrow for lunch and I think I'll stick with sushi and maybe try the Yakisoba.

The shrimp tempura is my favorite sushi ever! The hibachi is also very good. It was a little salty this time. The egg yolk sauce is amazing. This is my favorite Japanese Steakhouse in Columbus, OH.

For the amount of food you get versus what you pay, you can't really beat it. The quality is good. Your not going to have a mind blowing meal here, but you'll come back for more.

  • Lin H.

Hibachi places do not blow my mind. They are all the same, you know? Strangely though, House of Japan did just that. Never have I ever been to a japanese steakhouse that had egg yolk sauce. OR... bean sprouts instead of the zucchini/mushroom/onion veggie side. House of Japan also didn't serve up any yum yum sauce, only the ginger based one. I thought the missing yum yum sauce would be a problem for me, but wow, that egg yolk sauce made up for it. At first I was unsure, because it was kind of greasy slimy. After a new bites I was sold on the concoction though. I know these are little differences, but they made a serious impression on me. They slightly deviate from the typical hibachi meal plan and thus provide a nice change of pace!

I went to the House of Japan in Polaris frequently when I lived closer to it. I recently moved to Dublin and am a mere 5 minutes from it, lucky me. Anyway, I went there last night with my boyfriend. We ordered our usual (shrimp hibachi/chicken hibachi). I know that when other locations are open, recipes and ingredient preparation can vary.. and I accept that. My food tasted fine. My boyfriend's chicken tasted horrible. All the chef did was drench it in soy sauce (I'm serious, that's it). I'm not sure what happened there, but it was incredibly bad.. in comparison to what we usually received at least. He ended up having to eat around the chicken. Essentially he paid like what, 13-14$?, for fried rice and vegetables. Meh. I should probably mention that I found an entire rubber band in my food. I thought it was a noodle that had sneaked its way in at first (somebody next to us had ordered soba).. but nope, when I popped it in my mouth it was a rubber band. Blah. Our chef was not very entertaining. It's not a huge deal.. but when I'm paying that much for hibachi, I expect a little effort. I bet the servers have to tip out a lot to the hibachi chefs too. Our chef could have been new, I get it, you've got to start somewhere. He was nice, I will give him that. He dropped the spatula, shrimp and eggs that he was trying to throw into the air to catch. It was sort of awkward and uncomfortable to watch. Maybe I just sat at the wrong table.

Our reservation was at 730pm. We got there at 715pm. We weren't seated until 820pm. When they finally seated us we were so crammed in it was uncomfortable. They put 3 people on the ends. ugh. Kept bumping elbows all night. Food was decent but not worth the aggravation and wait.

Guess I'm use to Seattle. Ordered Imperial at lunch...never was asked or brought my tea...Salad was horrible. Not sure what kind of dressing they put on it but the taste was not pleasant. Only one type of sauce for steak and I'm not about to put my steak in it after tasting it. Overall cleanliness of place was good. Staff fairly friendly. Shrimp alittle over cooked and too salty. No vegetables for steamed rice. Steak cooked very well except for sauce used when cookin has way too much salt!!! Also such a small portion of steak. Chicken was great. Huge portion of chicken. I won't eat here again and won't recommend this place to anyone! Owner needs to visit Seattle and go to Toykos or MIzus to see how a real steakhouse is done. This is a cheap and poor imitation!!

House of Japan is always delicious! My family has been there many times and have consistent and yummy food. The entertainment by the chefs is always fun and my two boys absolutely love it! The grilled steak and the grilled shrimp are seasoned perfectly and always fresh. We will be back again very soon! Great job!!

Mother's Day dinner. Had reservations so no wait. If you had no reservations, it was a 2 1/2 hour wait. Place is ALWAYS crowded and parking lot is too small. We had to park at the hotel next door. Not a place for a relaxing dinner. Very noisy and sort makes dining a chore, but you know what you're getting with a Hibachi Grill Japanese restaurant. We go a couple times/year for something different. Food is very good but very pricey. I've seen the "show" many many times, so I wish there was a way to get my food without the table side preparation at this point. Onion volcanoes of fire don't thrill me any more.

This is the best japanese steakhouse in columbus. The food is great, the drinks are strong, and the employees are awesome too. I love the salad dressing and the egg yolk sauce. We also always get a side of sirracha with our meals. We go pretty often and are never disappointed. The only downside is that sometimes there is a long wait, if you make reservations online before hand you won't have to wait very long.

I went there yesterday and was stunned by how bad it was based on the reviews. Several people at my table ordered shrimp and two of us ordered scallops. The shrimp were overcooked, but the scallops were cooked longer than anything else. Even the chicken. We both ended up sending them back. By the time I got mine everyone else had finished eating, and was ready to leave. And they had egg yolk sauce on them which I'd asked them to leave off. They said they'd make them again, but since they were bringing checks for the rest of the party I told them to forget it and I'd scrape the sauce off and box them up to go. They did not seem interested in correcting the issue beyond that. I'm one that feels that a restaurant is defined by the service it offers, not what I have to demand or pitch a fit to receive. I won't be back.

Super good sushi, average hibachi items. They get packed during weekday lunches from the local office crowds plus the mall crowd, so plan at least an hour for lunch.

Another successful birthday party at the House of Japan Birthday funhouse. I can confidently say, I have only been to House of Japan (or any other japanese steak house) about twice when it hasn't been someones birthday at our table. Last night was no exception, my son's 13th birthday - his choice of restaurant. The chef was on his game - double huge fire at the beginning, shrimp tails flying all over the restaurant, spinning juggling eggs, onion volcano... all the tricks were out. It is corny and, if you've been a bunch of times, it is predictable, but it's fun each time. The food is very high quality, if not the healthiest fair. Sakura (egg yolk) sauce was in full effect and bogged a few people down later. It's the price you pay. No complaints at all about the food!! To the reviewers that take off stars because you smell like the food for the rest of the night....DUH! That is true of any Japanese Steakhouse. It would probably be true of any restaurant were you sat and ate on the griddle! Its part of the experience - for better or for worse.

This is going to sound contradictory to my rating, but I should not go back here again. Every time I go, I think the food tastes great and everything is awesome, but about 3 hours later I smell horrible and feel miserable. Granted, some of this is simply because they give you large portions, so I always eat way too much. The service is good (both the waitresses and the chefs) and they've always got people wandering around refilling your soft drinks before it's half-empty - or when it's still half-full - depending on how you look at the world. If you go for lunch, you'll save a little pile of money over going at dinnertime. But your clothes and hair really will smell like your food, so don't plan a client or business meeting for after lunch. Also, leave your coat in the car - even if it's wintertime. You're not going to want to smell like you were cooking in your coat at House of Japan three days later. I hope you read this understanding that I'm the current "Duchess" and have been visiting way more times that necessary. It's not that the stink and the food isn't worth the after-effects, I just think you should go prepared.

Went here for lunch on a weekday. Seated immediately. Decor was nice and restaurant seemed very clean. I got the hibachi chicken with fried rice. Portions were decent. I don't frequent the japanese steakhouses very often but the chicken was fried on the surface in front of you and seasoned with soy sauce...that was it. Fried rice was ok. Everything was salty. Luckily they were quick with the drink refills. Service was good but at the end of the day my bill plus tip was about $15. I've had MUCH better strip mall chinese food for $7. Luckily I was with exceptional company which made up for the sub par meal. I wouldn't choose to go again.

While this place is primarily a place for Hibachi style food, I come here for the sushi at the sushi bar. The chef is always friendly and it's quality stuff. The makki style tempura shrimp roll is one of the best, but I am a tuna addict...so I am fond of the spicy tuna and nigiri/sashimi. I have never had a bad meal at this place. On the Hibachi side, this place can't be beat either. Chefs make the fried rice the way it should be done, and they don't skimp on ingredients or portions. Yes, you will come home smelling like a well used wok, but your dog will love you!

Well the wait was a bit much. Granted it is a friday, but an hour wait to get to a table is a tad excessive. Once we sat down we were served right away with a cook to the table within minutes of ordering. The soup was decent and the salad was rather sub par. I ordered filet which was excellent!! The fried rice was rather salty and very creamy in texture. The vegetables were good but the portion was very small. All in all the meal was ok. There is far worse in columbus so I wouldn't fully knock house of japan. There is, however, much better as well.

Very nice. Was here for lunch yesterday with friends. There was 4 of us so got the Imperial Feast. Basic combo meal, salad, drinks and desserts included. Fried rice, sprouts, beef, chicken and shrimp all cooked fresh in front of you. Very good flavors, loved the egg yolk sauce but can be a bit over whelming so had to put to the side and dip meat in it. Nice for a groups. Food is excellent. you get a dinner and show all in one. Friendly service.

Want to get in shape & feel energized for the rest of your day? Don't come here! Want to gorge yourself on guilty pleasures in the best fried rice, egg yolk sauce, ginger salad dressing, and very fair prices at both lunch & dinner? You just found the best Japanese Steakhouse in Columbus (located both in Dublin near Tuttle Mall and Polaris/Worthington on Sancus Rd).

Forget what you know about steakhouses, this is the BEST!!! I am a frequent customer to the House of Japan steakhouse and I wouldn't keep coming back if it wasn't the best Japanese steakhouse I have ever had. I have been to Genji's and Benihana, but none of them compare. I always walk away craving House of Japan. First of all, the prices are much lower than Benihaha, the service is better, and the food has real taste (Genji's is like a watered down version of House of Japan, while Benihana has no flavor at all). If you go, I will recommend Jon as the best chef in the restaurant.

I have been to House of Japan on several occasions...the food is good & the show is always fun. I am surprised how people in this town basically ignore one another at the table if you are a small party of two...just a comment- not part of my rating for this review. The food is good & the portions are generous. My only surpise it the amount of butter they use...Japanese steak house in California do not do this. How healthy could it be? Is this a mid-west thing? I saw this tribute to butter done at another Japanese steak house here in Columbus, too. Do they use that much dairy in Japan? I always have to ask them not to butter my food- don't get me wrong I love butter...but one of the reason I like this type of place is to eat something a little healthier. The service is good & the prices fair, enjoyable but nothing special. Kids love the show so it's a great place to take kids!

I love House of Japan. They have the best Hibachi Chicken with yum yum sauce. Every time I go I have a really fun experience, from the bartender to the chef at the table. All of their hibachi is delicious... I am a big fan of House of Japan!

This place is fabulous! Expect to sit with other people at dinner, and pay about $25 a person, but it's totally worth every penny! The restaurant itself is really nice and the people who work here are really nice!! LOVE IT!!!!

Sushi Review only: I came in late on a weeknight and didn't feel like getting greased up by the grills, plus I was craving some sashimi. The small counter near the front is tucked into a nook next to the kitchen in a way that it's almost a afterthought. I made the mistake ordering as if I was still in NYC so when I ordered 2 pieces of tako and 4 of unagi I actually got double and for the same price I'd pay in NYC... When I asked the chef what was the best offering, he said dragon roll. Meh, not what I was expecting but again I need to reset my expectation for the House of Japan. The meal was filling and good for what it is. The Sushi chef was cool but as I saw him ducked behind the counter eating udon noodles or something, I was almost wishing that was on the menu instead. I'd probably come back if I'm staying in the area and need a sushi fix walking distance to a hotel but if I'm driving I'll find a new spot. TBD on the other menu of the house...

I have a love/hate relationship with Japanese steakhouses. I love how they are generally healthier than their American counterpart, but I hate leaving smelling like my food. Gripe aside, House of Japan is probably one of the better steakhouses in Columbus. More reasonable prices and better quality than Shi Chi over on Sawmill, imo. The Imperial Feast for Two is my all-time fave whenever I'm out with another party. I mean, shrimp appetizer, steak & chicken combo entre (on a bed of fried rice), and a serving of orange sherbet to finish off your meal? Hellooo gustatory heaven! An immaculate sushi bar can also be found inside the restaurant. Having always ordered from the grill menu, I cannot vouch for the quality of HoJ's sushi. Words cannot do justice to HoJ's interior dcor. You feel as though you have been transported to a Japanese Garden the moment you step inside. HoJ is a good place for large groups, as well as a good place to meet fellow diners you might be sharing a grill table with. (Do realize that not all patrons are as big of social butterflies as Yours Truly so chat away at your own discretion. :P) The chefs like to show their nifty tricks so as to add an entertainment component to one's meal. Friendly waitstaff. Spot on service. 4.5 stars

Good food and great experience - the server flips the food in front of you. Get the kobe beef with rice and a little egg on top!
