The service was great. The restaurant was comfortable. It is a great place for a family meal, visit with friends or as a couple. They serve traditional pasta meals. We liked our pasta dishes with the tomato sauce. We order sausage instead of the meat sauce.

I know this place has some pretty great reviews, but my experience wasn't a good one. Although our waitress was very nice (my reasoning for two stars), my Alfredo came out with garlic chunks the size of Nerds. (Yanno, the candy. Haha) I do like garlic, but not hundreds of tiny chunks of it. My friend got the chicken Marsala and did not enjoy it. It did have a very strong wine taste, and I personally liked it. He got a meatball on the side that was very completely red and raw inside. Gross! I might try this place again, because it has so many nice reviews. And if I do, I'll update my review. But for right now? Two stars is the verdict.

Speeding along US 23 you could easily miss the turn into The Wearhouse, but I hope you keep your eye out because this Italian-American restaurant is worth a visit. Smaller than it's older sibling in Marion, the dinning room is somewhat intimate while still being family friendly. Our server was genial, engaging and prompt without hovering. But the real reason we were here was to sedate my pasta craving so I ordered the shrimp fetuchini alfredo with the side salad. While I wish the lettuce had been mixed greens rather than iceberg, I had no other criticisms. The bread was nice and crispy too. My meal arrived piping hot with creamy alfrado and a fair number of flavorful shrimp to put me in a food coma. His spaghetti with meat sauce and the addition of mushrooms looked deliciously rich. And I assume it was just that as he polished it off. Now that I am looking forward to my leftovers, I shall end saying we would gladly visit again.

Awesome food with the most efficient and consistent kitchen around. You can tell its a great family owned local establishment. Reminds me of home where there is some of the most amazing Italian food. The fresh bread is awesome, chicken parm is to die for, and pizzas are worth the return trip. Service is consistent and they are always busy. It's small and worth the wait.

Best Italian food I've had maybe ever. Four stars because their wait staff could be friendlier. I've been in there several times and have never had friendly servers. They get the job done promptly and efficiently just not all that friendly

Food was greasy and had a smokey or burnt taste. Did not finish our meal. Mentioned it to the waitress whose response was "sorry". Have not been back since.

The food is just great. I love the bread and oil. The soups and lasagna are amazing too. The servers are attentive and friendly and will keep your glass and breadbasket full. Love, love, love this place! The prices might seem a bit high but I've never left hungry or without a ton of leftovers.

I really wasn't expecting much from this place and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the mushroom pasta. It had a cream sauce and fresh asparagus, tomatoes and tons of various mushrooms. It was so good I ate it one penne noodle at a time. My husband had the fettuccine alfredo and really liked it. His only complaint was that he added sausage it rather than sautéing the sausage, it was boiled. He still ate every bite. The fresh bread is amazing and whatever they do with that butter needs to be in iv form so I can carry it with me. The tomato basil soup was really good. Husband said it was kinda bland. I sprinkled a bit of salt and it did amp up the flavor. Really tasty either way. Got a kids meal and drink for only $4.95. Whole family of three ate for under $50, including a glass of wine for momma. We will for sure be back! Love the train decor and history. I need to try dessert!

The food was all around delicious, and service fast and friendly. If my review simply covered that; it would be five stars all the way. Unfortunately, there is the matter of price and portion. I paid $75 (before tip) for three adults and one child. Not bad if we had drinks or multiple courses, but not the case. 5 small risotto balls for 6 bucks (there were 8 in the picture). Great quality questionable price.

The food is good, but I think overpriced for the chicken dishes, I had chicken piccata and got the smallest piece of chicken, i have ever had served to me at a restaurant. I have been there twice and had chicken both times-- both were very SMALL portions (smaller the second time than first). I asked for mushrooms to be added to chicken, they were 1.99, waitress did not mention they would be extra. I think their chicken dishes are over priced. I am used to the chicken served with the pasta, not with the pasta in a little bowl on the side. Most places give you 2 larger pieces of chicken for the same price instead of one tiny( then there's leftovers). Try Chicken Piccata at BJ s brew house at Polaris. I like to go to non chain restaurants, but both I times I left here I felt I paid too much for what I got and was a little disappointed . The grilled asparagus was a Surprise and the best part of the Meal .

Decent place with great prices. The food is always hot and tasty the only complaint is the place is a little small and ofter crowded to be seated on a busy night, but other than that its decent affordable italian food.

Went again and had MORE amazing food!!! Shrimp Scampi- WOW. Chili- yes I said that...AMAZING Fettuccine Alfredo- WOW WOW. Try the death by chocolate cake...no comment could let you know how AMAZING this was. This place is the BEST I have had- other area restaurants could take a few pointers from this place- especially the food and management.

Just happen to drive by this place and decided to try it. So glad we did - our server was wonderful. She made suggestions when we were ordering so that everyone got exactly what they wanted. I haven't had such a pleasant and knowledgeable server in I don't know how long. And the food - excellent!! I have been looking for a place like this since we moved six years ago. Cozy, not a chain, and five star food. FOUND IT!! Our new Italian "go to" restaurant.

My family and I went there based on the positive reviews we saw on Yelp. We went on a Saturday and it was very busy, but we still had great service and the food was amazing. I had the fettuccine with chicken and mushrooms, my wife had the diablo pasta. Everything was delicious and also at a fair price. My kids ordered off the kids menu and their meals were $4.95 each. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great too, it's not a huge restaurant but it works. I would say its the best Italian restaurant in Delaware if not Columbus. Check it out soon!

This has become our new favorite spot for taking visitors. Of the 8 selections made in our two visits ALL were delicious! Staff was fun to interact with and the place was clean as a whistle. Best dining experience since Nova closed!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
