My boss ordered us lunch from Freshbox and I was a little wary. I'm a vegetarian and with just 4 sandwiches to choose from I figured I'd be eating a bag of chips for lunch. Wrong! This is not your typical boxed lunch! I had the red caprese sandwich which is fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and roasted red peppers with pesto and balsamic vinaigrette. It was terrific!!! The bread was nice and thick and the ingredients all tasted super fresh. The sandwiches came with kettle chips, an apple, a pickle spear and a amazingly fantastic chocolate covered Oreo. Seriously, those cookies are to die for! The quality of Freshbox's lunches go so far beyond what other boxed lunch companies serve. It's much closer to something you'd find at a nice cafe. Also it's great to know that the money I'm spending on my lunch is directly helping the community.

I really want to give a better review than this, but I can't. I love supporting a non-profit, but the service we had was less than ideal. We used Freshbox catering for two lunches over the course of two days. On the first day, we were shorted 3 meals. When my associate called to request the additional meals, we were told the kitchen was closed. No apology or anything. We had to scramble and find the nearest fast food place to get additional food. Needless to say, it was a stressful situation. On the second day, we received our entire meal...more than 30 minutes late. Anyone who has organized a conference knows that this creates some serious issues with staying on track and keeping the participants happy. Again, no apology. I love the mission. I love the food. But they need to work on their customer service...and counting.

I've ordered Freshbox sandwich platters twice for meetings and have always enjoyed the food! They are fresh and tasty, and the delivery team is always prompt and friendly. Love the caprese, in particular. It's always great to order food for a cause!

OK, let me get this straight, I get delicious sandwiches delivered to my door for extremely reasonable prices AND I'm contributing to a good cause? Where the hell do I sign up?! Freshbook dropped me a message the other day: "Hey, we're big supporters of you! Any interest in tasting a Freshbox sandwich? We'd love your feedback about our food!" (this is my "they gave me free food" disclosure, but it's totally unnecessary, because I will be PAYING them for food soon, I promise.) I never turn down sammiches, so I gave them the green light. Customer manager Kelly dropped of 4 boxed lunches a few hours ago. My belly is so happy. Each box comes with a sandwich (I had shaved roast beef with roasted red peppers, provolone, red onions and horseradish aioli), an apple, a bag of chips, a pickle and a chocolate covered Oreo. OMFG these oreos. ::drools:: anyway. It was an awesome lunch. The other 3 people I shared boxes with (you didn't think I ate all 4, did you?) were pleased, too. And all that schtuff is only $9 a box? And they BRING IT TO YOU? Win. Here's the greatest thing about Freshbox, though - aside from good food, they're doing good deeds. Their employees come from Faith Mission Shelters, so they're providing income and job experience to folks who would otherwise be stuck on the street. Cool, eh? Their tagline of "feed your appetite, nourish your community" is spot on. Do it.

I've been on a project that includes a lot of working lunches lately, and I always perk up when I see the Freshbox order roll in the door. It's easily my favorite boxed lunch and I've become very familiar with the offerings. As the other reviewers have commented, this is good stuff. The sandwiches come on really nice ciabatta buns, the ingredients are fresh and the bread to filling ratio is always perfect. I love the fact that the sandwich speads (pesto, aioli) come on the side so I can decide how much I want to use, although they are so yummy I end up saving it for the last part of the sandwich so I can slather a ridiculous amount on it. The kettle chips and apple are always good and round out the meal nicely. The chocolate covered Oreo becomes a bargaining point in some of our meetings, much like a grade school lunch table. They are super addictive and it's fun to save them for the afternoon so everyone can stare jealously while you eat it :) The community aspect is great too and something you don't get with other purveyors of boxed lunches. It's a great choice all around, so get some Freshbox and start stockpiling your Oreo currency!

When I'm planning a weekend meeting, I LOVE to order from Freshbox! First, the ordering process is absolutely seamless. You order online, get a confirmation e-mail, and the food is delivered on the day of your event. For anyone who plans events, you know how important it is that all of the details are squared away, and Freshbox makes it super easy. I know I can place an order as late as 2 days before my event and count on Freshbox to have it there on time and ready to go! Second, the food is pretty great. Yes, it's sandwiches, but I think they're at a higher standard than others. I like to order the platters - usually 4 or 5 do it for us. They come with sides like balsamic vinaigrette, honey mustard, chipotle mayo, basil pesto, cranberry chutney, etc. I don't know what it is, but the taste, presentation, and sauces really make these sandwiches stand out. Most of our attendees LOVE their chocolate covered oreos and will inquire as to where they are if I don't get them - they're pretty fabulous! Each oreo is individually wrapped, with curled ribbon that makes them look professionally done. One of the biggest things for me personally is that I know, by choosing Freshbox, that I'm enabling residents of Faith Mission shelters to obtain skills such as employment readiness, financial literacy, and professionalism. That is so meaningful. Would I choose Freshbox without this? Yes, their food is spectacular, and meets my employer's high standards for event catering. But this aspect of their company is something that I personally really love. I've only had great experiences with Freshbox customer service, too. Recently, I had to change an order from delivery at 11:15 to delivery at 11, and they were able to work with me to get it changed. It was there, on time, and looking beautiful. They also call occasionally to check in on our Freshbox experiences - how has it been for us, will we order it again, what can they do to improve, etc. The people I speak to are always the height of professionalism, and they embody the best of great customer service. My only complaint? I wish we had more of these types of meetings to order Freshbox for! For me, ordering from Freshbox is a no brainer, and I'll keep doing it for as long as I'm planning these meetings.

I completely agree with all of the preceding reviews for Freshbox Catering. 1. Great mission-- helping those in need. Freshbox employs Faith Mission residents to offer them a competitive work environment to develop job skills. How great is that?! 2. DELICIOUS, fresh, food-- 6 sandwich options (one vegetarian) with interesting complimentary spreads instead of your usual plain condiments, three salad options (including a hummus plate). Each box gets you an apple, pickle, sandwich, and... 3. Chocolate-covered Oreo-- OMG. It deserves its own item on this list. I'm not a huge cookie/dessert fan, but these things are often the highlight of my day. Very satisfying, and the perfect size. 4. Reasonable prices, plus delivery! That equals "As good as it gets!" right?
