I have been wanting to try A Tavola for years, because I LOVE over-priced, fancy pizza (seriously), and I have heard nothing but wonderful things about it. Supposedly, the best in town. I REALLY wanted to love it, but the pizza we ordered - Fig jam + Prosciutto - was so salty I could barely get through my second piece. I literally couldn't taste anything but salt. We still had a nice experience with the staff, and the atmosphere was great, but they really need to back off of the salt. I felt like my tongue was swelling after one slice. I guess my quest for the best pizza in town will continue...

Ate here with a few friends and enjoyed lunch on their big shaded patio area. The salads we all ordered were really good, with yummy croutons. The pizza was okay, nothing special. They have two types of crusts you can order at this location, both of which are pretty thin. The service was a little slow with refilling our drinks, but other than that, it was an overall good experience. I would return, but wouldn't make a special trip.

We loved this place! Have been multiple times now since finding it and food is great. Super cute outdoor patio and delicious pizza with toppings like their yummy roasted cauliflower that you won't find at other restaurants. Very cool that the owner made all the tables too. Nice, clean decor and fresh food. So nice to have a location that we don't have to go all the way to Hyde Park for.

Great ingredients, great food, and great drinks. We started off with the fennel panzanella salad. Then we got the fig and prosciutto pizza, roman style. A little craft beer x Sauvignon Blanc mixed with gelato and called it a night!

Love this place! So happy the Madiera location is around. Wonderful different pizza options that you can't find at a normal pizza joint.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about their OTR location? It is the same amazing service and the same amazing food, only more intimate and with a better atmosphere. To keep this short and sweet I will make a list of the great things about this specific location: 1.) The woodwork is amazing. No really. Amazing. Some of the tables are cut from single piece of wood from one tree. Character and beautiful workmanship. This place is slightly smaller than OTR, if you only count inside. Which leads me to point.... 2.) THE OUTSIDE. Outdoor terrace for the spring, summer, and fall. There is a copper bar where food will pass through and for seating. Outdoor tables aren't in yet, but if they are anything like inside they will be amazing. Speaking of which, don't sit in "my spot" when this summer comes around or I'll shiv you. 3.) The same oven and a new oven. The new oven produces a Roma style pizza. The over as of now isn't seasoned yet. In talking to the staff they said it would result in a more conducive "to-go" pizza, as well as a new pizza experience on location. Well done on opening night to the entire staff! So glad to have you in our neighborhood. Please have an old fashioned ready for me outside.

We waited about 30 minutes on a Friday night to be seated. the place was booming. our waiter went over the uniqueness of their pizza making with us and was very attentive to our needs. I ordered the asparagus salad which had crisped prosciutto and pine nuts on top, amazing. For dinner I had the pesto and prosciutto pizza. A total delight. no room for dessert but topped off the night with a shot of espresso in house from deeper roots coffee. great food and a really great atmosphere.

We stopped here to grab a cup of coffee from the Deeper Roots pop-up coffee bar on our way out of town. We didn't know exactly where to go, as we have not been to A Tavola before, but, once you walk in the store, you see where you can grab a cup of coffee. Cincinnati's coffee scene is growing, and it's nice to be able to find many different places offering a locally-roasted morning cup. We look forward to enjoying the full experience when we can have a seat, and enjoy a latte. If you aren't on the east side, and you were looking for a good cup of coffee, this is a safe bet, and a much better option from the major chain stores.

The outside area is our favorite. A Tavola is a wonderful Madeira addition. Service is excellent.

A group of 8 of us women ate here for an early dinner on a Saturday. We started out inside since it was hot outside. But is was so cold inside that several of us where going back to our cars to get jackets, so we then moved outside. With the ceiling fans going, in the shade, it was comfortable enough temperature wise. HOWEVER, the metal chairs were so uncomfortable & NARROW at the hipline that most of us were squeezed in tightly & painfully! These made airline seats seem roomy! A teenage boy would be comfortable but not most adults! Our server was friendly and did a great job. My fennel salad was really good but did not come with bread, so I bought some. It was toasted and I would have preferred fresh in order to really be able to taste it. The order was $2 for 2 slices cut into 4 pieces! My friends mostly ordered pizzas, and a few other items. All 6 pizzas came out with lots of black, burned edges and slim toppings. Even the thicker crust style was a thinner type, and none of my friends were impressed with them. We will not go back and eat outside until those chairs are replaced!

We stopped in A Tavola while running errands around Kenwood one evening, and needless to say, I was not expecting what we got! The location in Maderia is actually quite perfect and I wish that they had one just like this on my side of the river. The outdoor patio was closed but I would love to come back in the summer months and enjoy it. We ordered the rizzoto balls to start with, and as a fair warning- they are tiny! I was expecting something the size of a golf ball or bigger and these things were about the size of a quarter. They were delicious but I wouldn't order them again. My husband and I also split the asparagus salad and that was FANTASTIC. I would love to just eat that. By itself. It was that good. We ordered the fig and prosciutto pizza and before I even hear you say "yuck!" hear me out. This was one of the best pizzas I have EVER had. EVER. In my entire life. Sweet fig jam in place of tomato sauce, crispy prosciutto, cheese and fresh arugula. One pizza was plenty to split between two very very very hungry people- and had we not be completely starved, I don't think we would have eaten all of it. Even though this place is a good 40 minute drive for us, I wouldn't mind meeting some of our family members who live in Maderia for dinner one night so that we could enjoy the patio and another fig and prosciutto pizza.

  • Timothy D.

The food is amazing. The meatballs were delicious and the pizza had an outstanding char on the crust. The fig and prosciutto was as billed. Definitely worth the drive. Emily was a great server and the manager was very attentive.

Always a great dinner at A Tavola. We ordered the Fig and prosciutto pizza (good as always), the bacon wrapped dates (I wish there were more to the order), and tried the Bacon tapenade bruschetta for the first time. It was great with goat cheese and lots of bacon pieces you put on yourself. The outdoor Patio is great in Madeira.

One of my favorite new restaurants we have tried in a long time! We sat at the pizza bar (only seats available on Saturday @ 5:30ish) which gave us a great view of the pizza oven, bar, and all the food and drinks coming out of the kitchen/bar area. We started off with the Arancini - Delish! Then we tried the meatball trio (w/ the goat cheese and banana peppers on the side) which was awesome! . . A must try if you go to A Tavola! We finished up with the Gorgonzola Piccante Pizza which was also very good. Loved the crust. My husband enjoyed the selection of local craft beer (on tap) and I was pleased with a Manhattan and then the unique Strasser Wassail (as my dessert). A Tavola was great for a date night, but we are also planning on bringing the kids back (on a weeknight or for lunch).

Work in Indian Hill and sometimes I just really want some OTR food! Perfect place to go! Plus my husband and my first date was at A Tavola in OTR so eating the prosciutto and arugula pizza brings back happy memories :)

Tonight was one of the worst service experiences I have had at a restaurant in a long time. We waited over an hour for food. When it came it was wrong and the server left the wrong food. When he brought the right pizzas one had the wrong toppings. We had to ask twice for boxes. They never removed the dirty plates from our table. Our waiter was too busy with his friends at another table. They did comp our pizzas, but I will not go back. This server needs to be retrained.

I was so excited to have A Tavola open a location closer to home. A few friends warned that this location "wasn't quite the same" as the one downtown. I wish I had listened. We ordered an asparagus salad which was delivered promptly and delicious. That's where the good times ended. Despite the restaurant being less than half full, the rest of the food (one pizza and one sandwich) took an HOUR to arrive. The server never checked on us (although the waterboy sufficiently kept us hydrated). The sandwich was terrible with very little filling ... I essentially paid $10 for goat cheese on cold bread. I sat in my uncomfortable metal chair, contemplating how much I wanted to like this place but just couldn't see past the mediocre food and slow service. We left feeling ripped off, both in terms of money and time.

A tavola could be a hit or miss. The nice thing is that it's usually not as busy as the other restaurants in OTR, so you could be seated quicker. The food we ordered was good but not amazing. The service was not impressive during our last visit. We tried the arancini (fried risotto balls) which were tasty. They have a wide variety of thin crust pizza options with unique toppings. We ordered the eggplant pizza which was unlike anything I've ever had before in a good way. Our server was kind of out of it and she made a few mistakes. 1) She forgot to get my fiancé the second beer that he ordered. 2) When she remembered that she forgot, she got him a different beer than what he had asked for. 3) They charged us for an extra pizza. Good thing we reviewed the bill. Overall, mediocre food with service that made the experience worse.

  • Mandy O.

Food is ok good, no where near spectacular, but the prices are INSANE! 4 of us for lunch was over $75. They charge $2 for goat cheese on your meatballs, and literally all they did was sprinkle some on top... and $17 for a pizza? Their prices have gone up in the short time Madeira has been open. Not worth the money

I absolutely love this place, one of my favorite joints in the city. As most know there is another location in otr but at this one there is more space with way less of a wait. The menu has variety and everything I have had is amazing the salads, meatballs, arrinchinis and the pizzas all great. My favorite pizza is the gorgonzola with the house made sausage, outstanding. The food is fresh and I never leave feeling over stuffed even though I eat alot. The atmosphere is great right in the heart of Madeira and they have a nice outdoor seating area. Also they have a great rotating selection of craft beers, last time I went they had three floyds on tap! My favorite and a tough one to find on tap in the area. Not to mention a great section of cocktails. The only negative thing to mention is the price, which is slightly high for some menu items considering portion and all This place really brought the maderia food scene to a new level I hope more like it fallow...

Food was good - service was fair - customer experience was poor. My wife and I tried the Madeira location this past Wednesday. The parking lot was full - it's a small lot - but their was plenty of seating inside. (The patio was full - you'll understand why below.) First the customer experience - the tables were so close together that people at nearby tables had to get up to let people pass. The chairs were uncomfortable metal. The worst part was the ridiculously cold dining room. My wife was shivering so bad she had to go outside while I waited for the bill. I could see that other guests were also very uncomfortable. A prior reviewer made similar comments about the temperature. Keep in mind it was a comfortable evening outside, but it had to be in the mid-60s at best inside. When I asked the hostess about the cold dining room, she said that the pizza cooks get too hot working the oven and turn the temperature down. So much for focus on the customer. I suggest long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and a jacket or hoodie - even on a hot summer day - if you plan to eat inside. We ordered Sausage Bacon Dates as an appetizer - 4 dates for $7. It took 15-20 minutes to get them. Good taste, but overpriced. We also had a Fig & Prosciutto pizza on wood fired crust, because this is what many of the reviewer recommended. Another 15 or so minutes wait. The pizza at $17 was different, but very tasty. The crust was thin but firm enough to hold the ingredients, and the edge had a nice "chew" to it. The cheese was a bit salty, but had good flavor. There was a drizzle of fig jam on top and a sprinkling of prosciutto topped with a large salad-worth of arugula with Parmesan cheese. For dessert we had an assortment of gelato. The dip sizes were generous and the chocolate flavors were very good. I can't say as much for the cookies and cream and salted caramel flavors. Service was fair at best. There were too few servers to handle what I would consider to be a relatively light crowd. Our server was nice, just not very attentive. I could see her wandering around the kitchen area, but she had no sense of urgency and seemed to lack experience at what really needs to be done to be an effective server. The overall meal came to $38 for the food described above plus one Diet Coke and water before tip and tax. Overall, a tasty, but very disappointing experience. I don't see us going back given the number of issues that would need to be addressed to make this a truly good upscale pizza restaurant.

WOW! This place is incredible!!! I have been a huge fan of the OTR location but when you walk in this place you are overwhelmed with the amazing craftsmanship that went in to building this location. Everything was built by hand. The tables are phenomenal. We went out to the patio bar. Another moment of WOW. Cedar woodwork everywhere and lots of people enjoying amazing food. They did an amazing job of posting the construction progress on social media. I actually made that comment to the bartender and the guy that did all the posting was standing at the end of the bar. We had a great conversation and talked more about how amazing this place is. His name was Nick. Good guy. They have a pretty good wine selection. We didnt have any trouble finding something we liked. They also have about 6-8 beers on tap and a full cocktail list. Sitting at the bar we got to witness the bartender knock out some cool looking drinks. This location has two styles of pizza ovens. We stuck with their traditional wood fired but will have to venture to the other side next time. I always like to order several items and take the left overs home but we were going to a concert afterward so we just ordered one pizza. We got the quatro formagio and added italian sausage. YUM! Great crust and very good sauce. Everything about this place is excellent. I would love to see them do some live music on the patio sometime. Its such a nice place to just relax and enjoy yourself. Easily one of my Cinci favorites.

Very busy, contemporary, natural hewn wood tables and bar. The ONLY roman pizza stove in the United States of America. Healthy tasty salads. Excellent gelato. Plenty of drafts and quality liquor selections. Louder than just about any restaurant without music.

Major disappointment. We decided to try the Madiera location after a fabulous experience at the OTR location earlier in the week - big mistake! As many have said, it's super loud here, and this is compared to the OTR location, which we visited at 8:30 pm on a Friday night. The worst part, by far, was the service. At the OTR location, we had an excellent server who made thoughtful suggestions, checked on us and brought our food out quickly. At this location, our waitress wouldn't let us order the pizza how we had literally two days before at the other location, didn't fill up our drinks when she was nearby filing up others' drinks and never mentioned checking on our pizza or appetizer despite the fact that it took over 30 minutes for anything to come out. We tried the arancini, which took over 30 minutes to come out. And I should also mention that another waitress who we had never spoke to before came over to see if we ever received our appetizer, but never our actual waitress. They finally came out but were underwhelming. They had an oddly spiced flavor, sort of like red pepper. Finally, the pizza comes out after 45 minutes. I should mention we got our pizza at the OTR location within 15. And seeing as we sat at the bartop in OTR, you can see it only takes about 90 seconds depending on toppings for them to cook. We noticed the kitchen staff seemed much slower and inefficient compared to the other location (you can see in the kitchen from the dining room). They were sort of standing around a lot, whereas the OTR location has a highly efficient assembly line. Also, when they dropped off the pizza, our waitress was at the table behind us and just walked right by without asking if it came out alright. This was a long post, but honestly we will not be back to this location based on this experience, especially compared to the outstanding time we had at the OTR location. There are definitely some service issues which need to be addressed by management.

Surprised a friend for her birthday this weekend at ATavola Madeira, we had a table of ten, our group had a great time enjoying their fresh salads, asparagus is just right size for few to share and a sampling of pizzas. We also brought a cake and they generously cut the cake back in the kitchen and served to our table. The only two notes I have is: On the service, when I ordered the wine, 2 bottles and when they brought to the table, served the sample of the white to friend's husband and not me who ordered the wine. Second the venue is really loud, even with the sound dampening panels it was hard to hear conversations at the table. We are in Madeira so lots of families enjoying pizza on Saturday night.

I'm an ATav fan from way back (but, when were sliders added to the menu?!). I was happy to choose this location for a meetup halfway between downtown and West Chester, as I knew I could count on some quality grub. The experience did not disappoint. Same great menu, quality, and service, in a different location. Great work, folks! The menu speaks for itself (hint: half fig/prosciutto, half brussel spout with the fig jam on all.) I experienced the same level of quality as I have in OTR. The space is well utilized, yes, it has a high noise level; I noticed some acoustical tiles, but for me the issue wasn't the noise, it was the width of the table. Odd? We were seated at the community table and it was awkwardly wide that made it hard(er) to hear each other. O, they also have a patio, it was closed the night we were there (maybe too hot?) but it looked great. There is a parking lot, but during my visit, it was full. We were pretty easily able to find spots on the street/within the block which is acceptable to me, but maybe not to everyone. All in all, a good experience and a solid add to the list of choices outside the urban core.

Fantastic renovation, great food, and lively atmosphere. Very excited for the back patio to open up and will definitely be a Maderia hotspot when the sun is shining. The wagyu beef slider and arancini are absolutely delicious. Be aware that things can get a bit loud and can make it hard to hear for large groups.

I will say that I haven't found this location to be as good of an experience at the OTR location, but not in a manner significant enough for me to rate it any lower. I'll echo some previous complaints: the layout is a bit awkward, for whatever reason sound does seem to get amplified, it feels very cramped, and the chairs are uncomfortable for extended seating. Unlike others I've never had a pizza be too salty or burned- always just delicious, the service has been really good and I like what the decor quite a bit. I don't find it to be the best pizza in the city but it is quite good and they have some toppings others don't have. I also prefer the OTR location inside, but the parking is better here and it's closer to me! Because of the chairs and the loudness; I would say before you dine-in order for pick-up and go off the beaten path with your toppings. They have some really quality funky stuff here- get your standard fare elsewhere.

Great meal here with my hubby. One less star for the noise level. Very difficult to carry on a conversation here. BUT the salad and pizzas we ordered were delicious! We ordered the red & blue salad. I'm a gorgonzola fan - enjoyed the salad. We ordered the fig and prosciutto on their thicker crust (which really is not thick at all - just not the paper thin crust that also is a choice). Service was excellent. Drink and food orders were taken promptly and came out quickly. Water was always filled. Loved the wooden tables. Parking was a bit limited, but definitely would go back!

This is hands down the best pizza in Cincinnati, OH. I wish I could give it four and a half stars but it is not as good as Felora's in Tucson or Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix but still very good, and better than anything else I've had in Cincinnati. I order the Margherita Neapolitan style pizza and I must say that the crust is excellent. I wasn't a huge fan of the Roman style but the Neapolitan style is excellent. All of the ingrediants are excellent, and every time I go here it feels like a big deal. One thing I would advise is to come here during off hours because the waits can be quite long during peak hours. Overall if you live in Cincinnati and you want great pizza this is your stop.

Finally, something in Madeira worth gong to! Great pizza , delicious meatballs and sliders to boot. I was doubly impressed with the choices of ingredients that were available for your choosing when ordering a pizza. Service was great . Thank you Laura for your patience with us! Just really an all around really good place to dine !

  • Rolf L.

Mediocre at best. Service is very spotty. The wait staff is very young and eager, but in need of more supervision and direction. Inside is overly-air conditioned and extremely noisy with quite depressing photographs of rundown buildings. If thin-crust pizza is your thing, this would be an OK place. But after a few tries, I have found the other offerings unremarkable.

I have been curious about what was going into this location for months and squealed with delight when I learned it was A Tavola. A fan of the OTR location, I was pumped to have a spot close to where I live. We put in our name and went around the corner to the Madeira Inn since A Tavola's outdoor bar wasn't yet open. An hour and a couple of beers later, we headed back and learned we were the next name on the list. I didn't love the table situation--they're a bit small and I'm not a fan of high-tops but that's probably because I have miniscule legs that dangle in anything taller than a toddler seat. As others have mentioned, this place is loud but that also adds a certain good energy. Our waitress was awesome and I wish I could remember her name (Beth?). She gave us some great advice about new pizzas to try. All in all, our group of four loved everything we ate. I can't wait to go back and sit on the patio once it's open for dining.

I've tried and tried again, but the pizza here just isn't very good. It has a combination of problems that don't really make any sense. How can pizza be both burnt and soupy???? I'm not sure how they manage it but they do. Cincinnati, imo, is a complete waste land for good pizza. Has anyone been to New York? Choose a block and you'll find 5 places better than this.

Their pizza is great, but you already knew that! We just stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and some Deeper Roots coffee, both of which were phenomenal! Looking forward to many more mornings here.

Stopped in here for lunch. The atmosphere is really nice; they have some really cool hand carved table tops... Anyway, we tried the traditional pizza crust that they cook in a wood fired oven. I thought it was great! All the ingredients were really fresh and the portion size was perfect. I'm looking forward to bringing my wife here - they have a great looking wine list we need to try!

    (4)
  • Sarah M.

Always perfection with the pizzas! Also the house red wine is pretty darn good and pairs well! Have not tried the new Roman style crust.. love the other style too much to venture.. yet. The best pizza in town hands down-and now so close to home :-)

I for sure like this place. I didn't really like the OTR location because it was hard to find parking and it was always to crowded in there. This location parking is a lot better but the place could be a little bigger. The one waiter I had Nick was great. You could just tell he REALLY wanted the customer to be happy and had a lot of pride for his work place. Overall I'd recommend it to a friend.

HELP! My rear end is stuck in one of these ridiculously small chairs!!! Happened upon this place when we were looking for something else to try in OTR, then noticed they had a location in Madeira and thought hmmmm no paying for parking and no waiting. Having a wide array of funkalicious pizzas we opted for a tried and true Pepperoni mozzarella and caramelized onion, as well as a "red and blue salad " The salad dressing and the radicchio didn't fair well together and made it quite bitter. The pizza was a wood fired affair with a thin sauce, miniature pepperonis , and the caramelized onions which were a mistake because they made it a bit too sweet. The next time I would choose the fresh onion instead. That being said the pizza grew on me as I ate it, thus no left overs for my dog Steve (he will be in protest when I arrive home) Not a bad joint, chairs are way too narrow (bring Vaseline if your much over anorexic) Probably Czech it out again in the near future. Now were'd I put that pork chop I bought to bribe Steve ...........

Wow! A Tavola is an experience. My kids loved watching the pizza bake in the wood oven, and we all enjoyed the pizza. Guests may need to set aside their preconceived notions about what pizza is and isn't because A Tavola's pizzas are innovative combining familiar flavors in unique ways in the shape of a pizza that will blow your mind! Highly Recommended!

Beautiful renovation, especially with regards to the wood work. The restaurant is very loud and layout is very awkward. On a friday night (last night) it was moderately crowded and it was difficult to follow the hostess to our table. Perhaps when they begin serving on the patio, this will be alleviated some. Being a frequent visitor to the OTR location, I felt that the food, especially the pizza left something to be desired. Perhaps they are still working out the kinks of a new location, but the pies were very doughy and soft, while being extremely burnt on the bottom and on the crust. Still, for SW Ohio, this is better than most.

  • Allie B.

Absolutely gorgeous location! Outdoor bar, which makes for a fun atmosphere to drink their amazing cocktails at. They have an entirely new oven here and not just the traditional wood roasted one like the OTR location. Wait staff is friendly and accommodating to each guest's needs. However, the location is a little on the loud side on a weekend night, but I feel like that comes with small spaces + good pizza + friends + alcohol so whatever. Food is just as good as ever at this one compared to OTR location.

    (4)
  • Stacey B.

Food was very good. Portions somewhat small. Would love to see a gluten free option. But most importantly PLEASE work on the sound absorption. It is so loud in here it's hard to carry on a conversation!!!

I have been waiting so long to try this place and it was so worth the hour wait we had. Im a pizza snob and this pizza was amazing. My only disappointment was that they didn't have the gelto I was looking forward too for my birthday , I was so disappointed :( but the great service and food made up for it. I will be returning.

People seem reluctant to pull the trigger on the five-star review here, which shocks me. If you've spent any amount of time living in the Madeira area, you know how desperately this area has needed a local gathering spot that could accommodate twenty-somethings and families. Now it has one and people are hesitant to give it the praise it deserves. A Tavola took over Amarin's Thai/Sushi on the corner of Laurel/Miami, which was small and there's nothing they can do about that. I like that they went for a more family-friendly space and that they accommodate kids. Too many places right now aren't family-friendly, so I'm glad they didn't go down that road. Parking in their lot can be sparse, but street parking down Laurel is very smooth. They will eventually have more seating with their outdoor bar. The food is great; we loved the panzanella salad, the fig/prosciutto and the arugula pizzas. Fried risotto balls were great. I haven't been to the A Tavola in OTR, but I thought the food here was very good on its own, so if you think OTR is better, more power to you I guess. Yes, the place is loud, it instantly became the local place to take families. Yes, the tables are high-tops and the space is cramped, this is because it is good. If I still lived in the area, I would go here twice a month easily.

Dined here for the first time last night. Fun vibe, nice atmosphere, and all of the food was delicious! We started with the dates wrapped in bacon. The serving (6) was just about the right size, but left me wanting more because of the incredible mix of flavors and texture. The meatballs. (Served as a "flight" of 3) were decadent. Finally the pizza (Quatro Formagi) was just what I hoped for. A perfect blend of four cheeses on a thin but soft (not crispy) crust. Can't wait to return!!!

Went their tonight. Crowd was overwhelming. Don't appear to have a good plan to accommodate their crowd. Server was pleasant. Pizza was horrible. Got the margarita and made my own. Crust was burnt. Not a good experience.

I loved the pizza and found it similar to what is served in Italy, burnt edges and all. Large list of drinks however the draft beer list in the menu did not resemble beers actually on tap. Very noisy inside with not much room to wait for a table. I'd like to see a couple of benches out front where we could wait. No reservations, so if your kids go wild when hungry please leave them at home!

Great time and super accommodating! We are thankful to have a tavola Madeira! The wait was a little long (especially with kids) but the food was worth it. I only wish their patio had been open for dining!

we went to A Tavola this past Friday night. I have to say I frequent OTR quite often, but have never been to A Tavola in OTR, so we were very excited to this it out. Upon entering with our infant daughter, the hostess did think there was space for us since we cannot use a high top and asked if we had an issue with a wait which we did not. We expected a wait on a Friday. however, the manger overheard the conversation and made a suggestion and we were immediately seated. Our server was excellent. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and provided great suggestions. The wheat beer was excellent. The salads were a very generous portion and very good! And the pizza was absolutely fantastic. I only have one complaint. This restaurant is set in a very family oriented neighborhood. At the time we were there with our 10 month old there were 2 other families with small children under the age of 2 having dinner. MUCH to my surprise, there is NO changing station in either the women's or men's bathroom for changing diapers. This would seem to me to be a very big oversight on their part.

Visited Saturday night. Loud but exciting to be in a non-suburban feeling in Madeira. Pizza was crusty and delicious, but hard to taste much sage in the sausage and sage pizza. Salads were beautiful and generously portioned. Lighting was not good;track lights shone straight at us, to the point of glare. Finally, the bathroom needs help. One toilet per gender. Out of tp. I hope they address these 2 issues, but I can't wait to go again.

Pizza is so so...and very pricey. Atmosphere and acoustic leaves much to be desired....truly a place to be"seen and not heard".....would not go again.
