My wife and I make this a go-to place for dessert on hot summer nights. We normally take it outside and sit by the fountain across the street. I'm not into toppings, but they do have a great selection and my wife is always finding new combinations. Our only complaint, if you'd call it that, is they have so many flavors that they have to rotate through that you aren't always guaranteed the one you want will be available. When they clean the machines out they put the leftovers into containers for sale in the fridge. They're priced at a discount and are a good alternative if you'd like to have some at home. Just set it out for 15 minutes or so before enjoying to allow the frozen yogurt to soften to the in-store consistency again.

Neat concept. I think their yogurt flavors vary as some of the ones people mentioned here (red velvet cake, wedding cake) were not there when I went. I got a few different flavors in my cup, which is great because you can do that. You can basically do whatever you want on it. I mean I put nerds, pretzel M&M's, AND golden grahams cereal on my yogurt. I felt like a kid again. The yogurt was delicious too, at least the ones I got; cookies and cream, cheesecake and graham cracker. My friend got the pink lemonade and I did not like that at all. I like the gummy worms he had on his yogurt more than the yogurt itself. Anyways, solid place.

This new frozen yogurt store is located inside Books and Co. (across from the park area and Cheesecake Factory) in the Greene Mall and just opened! You go in, grab a cup, and create your own frozen yogurt - just like a buffet! There are ~eight different yogurt flavors: Original tart (like Pinkberry) Cake Batter Wild Strawberry White Chocolate Mousse...etc. ~thirty different toppings (varies): Bananas Blueberries Cheesecake Bites Cookie Dough Bites Mochi . . . (etc.) ~five syrups: Lyons Sauce - Mango Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce Ghirardelli White Chocolate Sauce ... etc. Once you're done making your frozen yogurt, you go to the counter and pay $0.45/oz. It tastes great and I love the aspect that you can go in and make your own. They have lots of chairs and tables inside and out to hang out in. You can also ask for some sample cups to try out some of the flavors. :D

This is the healthier place of the frozen yogurt places I've been to lately. The lack of creamy sinfulness is made up for by lower calorie counts. The toppings are abundant. They have something for just about everyone, they just don't mix in as well. If you are more concerned about calorie count and less concerned about a creamy treat or if you like a more tart frozen yogurt this is a good option.

This place was sort of depressing, the flavors were boring, I've been to Orange Leaf and that place has more new and exciting flavors and a lot more toppings along with ghiradelli and Reese's peanut butter! I was excited to try Yogurt mountain but after seeing only a few flavors and toppings I walked out, so many self serve yogurt places popping up this is one of the most depressing ones I've seen.

I have only been here once but I'm anxious to go back! I had a chocolate/vanilla yogurt combo with cappacino bits and s'more's pieces. It was a random combo and it was so delicious. My husband also had the chocolate/vanilla yogurt but he had butterfinger pieces on his. They have quite a few yogurt flavors and a really large selection of toppings - sauces, fruit, candy, just about anything you could possibly want. It was a little pricey. They charge by weight and you have no way of knowing what yours weights until you go up to pay. The cups are huge and ours were nowhere near full but it wound up costing like $14 for two. I will definitely go back though. While I know it's not a "healthy" option, I felt less like a cow eating this than had I gone to Cold Stone!

I want to give this fro-yo place like 20 billion stars! when it comes to fro-yo this place takes the cake! & turns it into the best cake batter fro-yo you'll find! They have a topping for every star i want to give them! It is awesome that they have hot fudge. this is really good fro-yo with an outstanding topping bar, workers were friendly, not out helping or anything.. chairs and tables were pretty neat bright colors and i really enjoyed my experience here

This place has the best selection of toppings I have ever seen at a froyo place. They have about 10 different flavors at a given time. They have the best sorbet i've ever had it was a pink lemonade and delicious, watch out for that brain freeze though! This is by far the best froyo in the Dayton area. They have hot fudge, and a hot caramel topping along with granola, strawberries and bananas, the fluffy marshmallow toppings (ive never seen this anywhere else) and tons of cereals and much more for toppings. The only negative thing, is the setup, i have no idea why the cups are by the toppings and not by the froyo, i guess they expect you to get your toppings before your froyo because the froyo leads to the registers. They do have a rewards program you just have to give them your phone number on the ipad type thing by the register, it keeps track of your visits. Nice green way of rewards programs without having to carry yet another rewards card to fatten your wallet.

Frozen yogurt places like this have been super popular in Hawaii and California for a while, so imagine my amusement when I came back to Dayton, Ohio and found yogurt places cropping up everywhere. I was super impressed by the selection of toppings, especially the sauces. White chocolate? Raspberry?? Marshmallow? Oh yum. I got the cake batter and cinnamon roll flavored yogurt, topped with cinnamon Teddy Grahams, brownies, and marshmallow topping. The yogurt was weak and very thin and icy, rather than creamy. I was not impressed. The toppings were fine. I will probably come back because I'm interested in trying more flavors, but my expectations have been lowered somewhat.

Solid yogurt shop. Great yogurt bar with lots of variety. It is a bit noisy inside, only downside.

Saw this place last time I was shopping at The Greene and stopped in for the first time this afternoon. It is located inside the Books&Co. book store. I stopped at the register to ask 'what to do' and they said that you take a cup, fill up as much or as little yogurt as I'd like, add toppings, and bring it back to the register and you pay by the ounce (.45/ounce I believe). I really thought this was great, as I wasn't really that hungry, but really wanted to try the place. The nice girl at the register gave me a few sample cups so that I could try the flavors before making my decision. I was ecstatic to find that they had a DAIRY FREE Watermelon Sorbet flavor! (Right now I can only eat dairy free stuff due to breastfeeding my son). It was delicious and perfect for a warm sunny day. I went with that and headed to the topping bar where they had literally everything you could ever want to top your yogurt with. Cereals, candies, granola, assorted syrups...you name it, they had it. I went with just a few choices and headed to the register. I was quite pleased that my bill was only a little over $2.00! Obviously with it being self serve and the extensive array of toppings, it can get pretty expensive if you aren't careful. Overall I think it's a great value for the money. And I really love that you can get as much or as little as you'd like. My creation was delicious and I am certain this will be one of my favorite treat places in the area. :)

I work a part time job at The Greene so I'm constantly eating on the go while I'm at work. The other night, the kids and I decided to do some light window shopping. I was going to treat them to Coldstone Creamery when I realized we hadn't tried Yogurt Mountain yet. We go to Yogurt Mountain. We're immediately greeted and thanked for coming. An employee let us know that the credit/debit card machine was down so we'd have to use cash only that evening. Now I NEVER carry cash but luckily I had enough on me to use. I absolutely LOVED this place. At $.45 an ounce you can make your yogurt as big or as small as you like. I LOVED the array of toppings and made what looked like a mess but tasted like heaven in my bowl. The kids and I's grand total was $10. You figure that's about the same amount you'd pay at ColdStone but healthier. This is totally my new fav snack place.

This yogurt place is a unique establishment but the quality varies greatly depending on the flavor. I do like to mix in my own items, but it does get costly. Willing to try again.

Amazzzzing flavors! I like to try a little bit of multiple flavors and toppings... Cake batter, sour apple, cookies and crème, strawberry, peanut butter, grape soda, cotton candy, triple chocolate, original tart, etc, all really flavorful... toppings have unique finds that include caramel wafers, blue gummy sticks, hot fudge and caramel, Ghirardelli syrups, cheesecake bits, popping boba! LOVE IT ALL. This is better than my local orange leaf... now if only this were closer to home...

This is a great frozen yogurt place. I love that it is self serve so you can get as much or little as you want. Along with the toppings! There's a whole bar full of different toppings to enhance the taste of the frozen yogurt you choose. Very delicious. They change the flavor a every few weeks so there always something new to try. There's also a loyalty program if you come in 10 ten you get a free one. Of course that won't be hard to do, especially in the summer. I love Yogurt Mountain!

  • Jenny D.

This place has the biggest topping selection. It's just nothing but candy fruit cereal etc. the frozen yogurt selection is equally good. There are some fruit and then dessert type flavors.

As others have mentioned this is a place where you can do whatever you want! I like a few things about this place: 1. The staff is kind and helpful. 2. The flavors are tasty. I like cake batter and raspberry tart. 3. They have NERDS!!!! I love NERDS on ice cream. i.e. their topping rock. Overall, this is a great place to get a sweet treat after you stuff yourself elsewhere at the Greene.

Ugh! My boyfriend, and I went here alot when it first opened. We loved it! The yogurt was great, and we loved the toppings. It didn't take long before I noticed that I got terrible stomach ache each and everytime we ate there. The place just seems to get dirtier. Once I noticed mold in the container of cheesecake pieces. YUCK!

My first time at yogurt mountain was delicious! Peanut butter and pomegranate yogurt is so good! I love the peanut butter's sweetness and the pomegranate's tartness. Together they are amazing. I'm going there a lot more often!! Yum! ~Mick

I love frozen yogurt but of all the places popping up this is my least favorite, Heavy on candy toppings, scarce on fresh fruit, pour on flavors heavy on sugar. Flavors of yogurt itself don't pop, I would describe them as B-O-R-I-N-G. It's just a mediocre experience. Why bother?

  • Weymar O.

I go to a lot of these self serve yogurt places whenever I'm out west. I was pretty excited when these places started popping up over Dayton. This place is sort of a mixed bag. The topping selection was excellent. There were around 20 different candies, as well as fruit and a bunch of syrups. On the other side, some of the yogurt was to frozen, like a snow cone without enough syrup in it. The others were drippy, and made a sort if slush material at the bottom of my cup. It's also really expensive. My sister and I both got the smaller cups and our total came out to $15. I've gotten the same amount with my dad in L.A. For less than half that price.

My purple table rocked back and forth. I hate that. My bright lime green chair was incredibly uncomfortable, and I was feeling blinded by the brightness of the other 30 in the dining area. Outside is a much better place to eat the yogurt than inside. The tart yogurt was really icy. The strawberries however were fresh cut, and made up for the lack of quality in the yogurt. I also had some snickerdoodle, which had a pretty weak flavor. The place seemed clean and well kept, and the employees were pleasant, but there's only so much employees can do with a cheap product and cheap decor. The business idea is great however, and it's the perfect spot for it to succeed. The product is good enough for kids to want to go as a reward for shopping with their parents, and it's clean enough to satisfy the parents. That alone will produce good revenue for this place. But it's obviously not tailored to more refined tastes... which says a lot coming from me given I can enjoy decent bar food and sit on a sturdy stool while I eat. Maybe I just got their yogurt on one of their bad days... but there's no excuss for the cheap seats and tables inside. I'm half inclined to give it just 2 stars, but I think the cleanliness, polite staff, well kept toppings, and nice steating OUTSIDE deserves at least 3 stars.

After the first time I tried Yogurt Mountain, I was hooked!!! It is such a fun place to get a healthier desert. Everything is self-serve, so it puts fun it getting a snack! I love their Strawberry Yogurt the most, but they also have 9 other choices each day! They have a great bar of add ons, such as sprinkles, fresh fruit, different cereals, and cookies! My husband loves the cheesecake bits on everything! It is by the ounce, so just be careful not to overload it too much!
