I took my wife here for her birthday. The place is small and personal. The service is fantastic and the food is superb. I never saw such large scallops! All the food was freshly prepared. Jill and her staff leave nothing to chance. It's the best kept little secret on Staten Island! When a big Italian guy like me recommends the restaurant, it has to be great!

Cucina Fresca is by far my favorite restaurant on Staten Island. Always a great experience and often an adventure with out-of-this-world specials. Try the pear pasta, the pumpkin ravioli, the terriyaki pork chops, and the cornish hen whenever they're available. As far as the staples, the spinach and cheese ravioli, fried zucchini, and mozzarella carozza are always delicious. Always save room for dessert because everything is delicious (love the tartufos, the warm apple tart, and the cheesecake with the truffle center). The service is always so welcoming and friendly. My SO and I used to go weekly, but regrettably have had less free time and have visited less often lately. We try to squeeze in delivery from Cucina when it's been a while because we miss it so much and are so excited to return each time. Set aside some time (multiple courses are the way to go and it's paced well for conversation in between courses). I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

Food was great! Experience was ok. My waitress happened to be the owner very sweet in the beginning and nasty toward the end. Decided to wrap my food to go and asked for a box to wrap it myself. She argued with me, telling me I wasn't allowed. As she was grabbing the dish from my hands, telling me "it's unprofessional for me to wrap it." Could not believe she was the owner. With such a rude manner to her customer. So much for the customer is always right.

I learned about this place this pasted year from my brother-in-law Been here once before taking my wife for the first time. She loved every single item we ordered from appetizer to desert. The food and service is amazing. I live in Florida and will plan to have dinner here when I am visiting NYC. I suggest to bring a nice bottle of wine to enjoy with your dinner.

Just ate here tonight with my boyfriend! We shared the berry salad and the chicken Marsala entree. The portions were great and 1 salad and entree was more then enough for both of us. The service was great and very attentive. A nice touch was the zucchini sticks and bread.

I went here last night with 2 friends and had a wonderful experience. Very small but cozy and intimate atmosphere. The wait staff were professional, attentive and knowledgable. The food was fresh and delicious. Everything is made to order. We were given complimentary focaccia and fried zucchini sticks. We ordered the fried oyster app which was a special and 3 pasta dishes, 2 were specials, and a dessert to share. The best part....it's BYOB! The Bill came out to $106 for 3 people...not too bad for this amazing meal. I will definitely be retuning soon.

Rumors of Bad Service have been greatly exaggerated. I was moved to post this review after reading some of the negative ones before dining here tonight. Now,any SI restaurants do suffer from terrible service. Cucina Fresca is not one of them. From our arrival until our exit, the owner and staff could not have provided a better experience. Expect Manhattan fine dining service with small town charm. Now, on to the food. While we looked over our menus, complimentary ricotta/spinach squares, bread, and an order of zucchini sticks came our way on the house. All were excellent. We still managed to try some baked clams which were crisp, gooey and delicious. The two of us shared the watermelon/feta/arugula salad which was both spicy and sweet. I was a big fan. We split two entrees: the lobster ravioli and the veal parmigiana. Whoever posted that the vodka sauce was "slap yo momma" good wasn't joking. The portions are huge and they didn't skimp on the lobster. Their fresh and crisp bread was a perfect utensil to scoop up the extra vodka sauce. The veal parmigiana was good, great crust to the veal, but I wouldn't say it's the best in the city. The chicken rollatini and the pork chops sounded really good so I'll be sure to try them out next time. Dessert: The apple pie a la mode. Get it. It's simple but deliciously well made. Oh and don't forget, it's BYOB! Wins all around. Jill and her crew are on to something great. Just when you thought Staten Island didn't need another Italian restaurant they figure out a way to make it a mandatory stop.

Consistently great food. I have been eating here for a number of years and they make the broccoli rabe I have ever eaten in a restaurant. I really enjoy Saturday nights when there is always a complimentary treat which is always unusual and amazing. I have a tendency to be a creature of habit so my go-to meal is the grilled chicken breast with broccoli rabe and angel hair with garlic and oil. Yum! I do recommend trying the special when you go there. Every time I have ordered one it has been outstanding. Reservations encouraged!

As always, my full review with all the juice and photos is on my website. But for a summary: This was a very good meal. Jason and I got squeezed in at 7:00 on a Saturday night, which was impressive for a tiny place with all the tables full. After an awkward initial conversation with on of the owners, Jill, I realized the staff here may be a little quirky, but are all passionate, professional, and very sweet. So don't blow them off too quickly if you start off on a weird note. What we ate - First was a series of very yummy complimentary dishes: pizza bread with mushrooms, warm sliced roll, zuppa di mussels, and pork tenderloin in a brown butter jus. - Baked clams were some of the best we've ever had. - Caesar salad we hated: they glopped on too much of a bottled dressing. - Mushroom raviolis: very good, nice light olive oil and mushroom sauce, lots of roasted garlic, earthy flavors. - Frutti di Mare (special): pretty good, the flavors were a little bland, but much better after adding some grated cheese; seafood was inconsistently cooked - two scallops were perfect while everything else was just slightly overcooked. - Chocolate chip skillet cookie: amazing, if they have this available you need to get it - warm and chocolate let and gooey perfection. I would prefer this place over a lot of the other Staten Island Italian places because of the intimate, family vibe you will find here. If not for that Caesar salad fail, they would have had four stars.

Stopped in for dinner and absolutely fell in love with the cute outside seating. Our waiter was super nice and really made us feel at home. He gave great recommendations and even catered to me being a vegetarian. the food was delicious and the presentations of the food were beautiful. i can't wait to go again to try all the other delicious food on the menu. p.s while you dining here you do not feel like you are on staten island.

This is a quiet classy little place. Let me be totally honest, the food was really good, and the service was even better. After being discouraged from a difficult moment when trying to park the car, I must say the food and service all made up for it. Small place but intimate. This was my first time there and it was a good impression. I will update after one more time there to see if my "enjoyable experience" remains consistent. but as of this one time experience, I am a fan-

I have driven past Cucina Fresca on Richmond Road more times than I can count. Tonight we decided to stop in for a late dinner. What an awesome surprise. The food is incredible, the service is personal and the owners (Charles and jill) really love what they do! A special thank you to Amelia for her gracious hospitality!!! Listen up Staten Island...Cucina Fresca is the real deal!! For those of you that live beyond the shores of Staten Island...its worth the trip. I guess I'll be stopping by more often!

I'm a tough grader when it comes to Italian food. If there's one thing I know, it's a good chicken parm. And even though I didn't get a chicken parm, Cucina Fresca is Cucina Amazing. Everything you read is true. Yes it's small, call ahead for a reservation. Yes the service is excellent, because they are. And the food is wow. Coca Cola from a bottle, real sugar. Sold. I'll take 8. Here's the rundown of everything that came onto my table and made my mouth water. Mozzarella y carozza, basically the ones here are little mozz stick sandwiches, that you could have 600 of. Caesar salad, a different taste in the dressing but still good. Lobster ravioli, every bite I actually liked it more. The vodka sauce was slap your momma good. And Chicken Rollatini, cutlet stuffed with 3 cheeses, was excellent. And I forgot to mention the mussels, which were complimentary. I actually never ate mussels before, but I might start now so long as they're always in the Cucina Fresca sauce. A nice environment and good people make this a place I'll be attending soon. But not too soon because it could get expensive, but what better way to go broke.

Hello food happens to be delicious but Staff is very unprofessional I work for the Hospital called an order in on JULY 02 the first gentleman was very nice ..I asked him how long the delivery would be because last week we ordered and the food took 2 hours to come. My co worker called 45 min to see if it was sent out and some girl who claimed to be the manager told him I was very nasty so I called back and she told me I was a liar and that the food never took 2 hours and told us to have a nice day and that we should find somewhere else to order from...not nice. And by the way the hospital spends alot of money ordering from cucina fresca and I will spread the word to the other dept to look for other places to order from what a shame on your manager. She needs a class on phone skills

Went last night from a recommendation by a friend. The place is very small with about 6 tables so reservations are encouraged also you can bring your own wine. First the staff: at times were too attentive but one or two were VERY rude and contemplated leaving because how uncomfortable we felt, having said that the waitress was very friendly and enthusiastic. Second, the air conditioning: it was quite warm in the restaurant. We were told it was not a "grocery store" and the air was only turned on 30 minutes ago, needless to say the temperature didn't get much cooler after 2 hours. Lastly, the food: there were complimentary mussels on the table (I don't like mussels but my friend said they were good) and bread (foccacia and italian with olive oil) was very good. We started with baked clams and sample lasagna (marinara and pesto) both were good. For dinner salmon with asparagus, lobster tail with asparagus, eggplant rollatini with linguini, and lobster ravioli in vodka sauce with baby shrimp - all the meals were par but for the price I would have expected an unforgettable meal. The eggplant rollatini I found to be just a good as most local pizzerias, the salmon was just as good as any other good restaurant I've been to, the lobster ravioli the same, and as for the lobster tail as long as it's cooked right how can you screw that up. All the meals were $29.95 which included a salad (house or ceasar - good size) except the eggplant rollatini which was $19.95 with a salad ($17.95 without). I guess they are more expensive since they cannot make profit on alcohol and by the way a can of soda was $3.50. I would not recommend the restaurant to a friend or return.
