The pizza here, IS GREAT. It's close to my house, they deliver for free, it is just all around great. They also make a killer spinach calzone. But, if you want the best pizza of Dobbs Ferry/ Irvington, go to Romeo's Pizzeria on Irvington's main st.

The pizza has consistently been great here and all their specialty slices kick ass. Prices are very fair and the variety of food is excellent. Definitely the best pizza in Dobbs Ferry; and I've been living here a long long time.

Best pizza in Westchester. I love this place. Their pasta is also fantastic and the servings are massive. One time they screwed up my delivery order but when I called to let them know they fixed it on the spot and sent over the right thing.

This is our pizza place of choice when we order delivery at work. With the usual mix of pizza, pasta, salads, entrees, heroes, and wraps, San Gennaro's has been called "the best pizza, Italian take out and catering in Westchester" -- but I'm not sure by whom, or when. Today, we ordered two large pizzas, one pepperoni and sausage, and another with pineapple and mushrooms. The sausage was a pleasant surprise -- sliced sausage, not ground sausage. And the cheese and sauce is always excellent. Perhaps the best pizza in the Irvington area. Certainly better than the other pizza I've tried in town.

First time eating here. I placed an order for pick up. I was originally looking to get food here to get pizza, but after looking at the menu I decided to get the Egglplant Rollatini dinner, which was cheaper than a small pie and came with pasta, a salad, and bread. Anyway, so I call to order Thursday at 5 30ish, place sounds quiet so not sure when I said 'Eggplant Rollatini' the guy said something about a spinach dish. Nope. I also got spaghetti as my pasta when I said ziti. I can see the misunderstanding there, but spinach? Nah. I wouldn't have minded if the whole dish didn't suck. Eggplant was soggy, sauce was terrible. Also, parking blows and people park like idiots and decide it's cool to sit in their car on their phone while they take up 1 1/2 spaces. Necessary. About the only thing good about this experience was the garlic knots, that I ate all of instead of my dinner. Blahhh.

I ordered this while staying at a hotel! FYI Never order anything but pizza when staying at a hotel. The worst chicken parm I have ever experienced. I ordered the fettuccine instead of spaghetti which comes with it, but it was delivered with spaghetti by mistake I guess. The pasta was so overcooked it melted in my mouth. The chicken was so pounded out it was thin as paper, but if you like cheese you will be happy. It was smothered with cheese and I mean smothered! blaaaaaaaa

I've been working in Dobbs since 2013 when I discovered San Gennaro's. Hands down the best pizza in Dobbs!! I don't eat pizza often but when I do, I don't go anywhere else.

Great pizza and great people work here. They deliver pizza to Extended Stay America hotel in Elmsford. Chicken Parmesan pizza is the best!

Ordered from here while staying at a hotel. I ordered the spaghetti and meat sauce, a Caesar salad and chicken soup. The chicken soup had absolutely no flavor. I took one bite and never touched it after that. In heavy need of seasoning and using chicken stock not water! The Caesar salad was incredibly over dressed, again I had a few bites and didn't want any more. They regretted to tell me that the spaghetti and meat sauce came with a small salad. Had I known, I wouldn't have ordered the small Caesar. That salad came with another dressing with no flavor and one tomato. The spaghetti and meat sauce wasn't bad, but wasn't great by any means. I will say that speaking with everyone on the phone was good, they were all pleasant. The portions are decent as well. However with the lack of flavor and seasoning in everything I was really disappointed.

Updated review: I had their pizza while at House of Sports for a birthday party and it wasn't good, and definitely could have used a few more minutes in the oven. Gave them a second chance the other night and the meatball pie was really good.

Good pizza BUT they make an error with mushrooms. Namely, they pit mushroom slices on the pizza raw. The slices that touch the cheeae will cook some. The upper slices will get drier. When I asked them to cook the mushrooms in oil, they came out delicious. I thinkbthey use cremini shrooms. I was flabbergasted by this singular error with otherwise good pizza.

The absolute best calzone ever! The rest of the menu is just as good....everything is fresh....the penne vodka is outstanding!

Stopped in for a quick bite as it is close to Dobb's Ferry Hospital. Although the Pizza looked wonderful, I opted for the chicken parmesan sandwich which was a disappointment. I want to be fair and try the pizza and calzones next time as they look to be the primary reason people would frequent this establishment and hope to provide a better rating.

I have never experienced a Westchester pizzeria better than San Gennaro's. Their exceptional flavors spread into their varying pizzas impressed me, my family, and even our dog. Their delivery is speedy and they bake their pizzas like clockwork, so in result, I've happily tipped both the delivery fellas and bakers numerous times. In comparison from the numerous pizzas in the vicinity, San Gennaro's is the most exceptional, even with competition right across the street. Despite their small store size, their business operates better than any other pizzeria in So. Westchester. The guys within are just like the pizza bakers you'll find down in NYC - friendly and obedient down to each dropped ingredient. Aside from the excellent slices they serve, the store also sells/ delivers fresh salad, tasty calzones, dulcet NY-style cheesecake, and a wide arrangement of sodas. The pricing is surprisingly cheap for their offered goods and specialty services. I even met the owner of the store, who was quite amiable and casual - something that I am sure any customer admires.

Thanks San Gennaro- you filled my rumbly belly, after I missed dinner b/c I was on a plane traveling. Thinking I could pick up food when I get into Westchester Airport was a bad idea...the airport is tiny and everything was closed by the time I landed. Getting to my hotel, I asked the front desk for a restaurant that delivered....and quickly! Now the food itself wasn't the best Italian food I'd had, but when I'm hungry, my judgement is a little skewed. The farfalle rosa (bowtie pasta with chicken & broccoli in alfredo sauce) could have use more salt, pepper and parmesan, plus the sauce was way too watery...the bread was good but came with no butter, the salad was warm from sitting on top of the pasta in the takeout bag. Kinda expensive too...but they delivered it right to my hotel room, so thumbs up....2 stars becomes a 3 b/c of situational circumstances.

Always order from this place. The pizza is fabulous, delicious from the tip to the crust. Pepperoni slices are mouth-watering, mushroom slices: drool-inducing. Very well seasoned and always arrives in a very timely fashion. Garlic knots about what you expect, go for em for filler. The WINGS, however, leave a lot to be desired. Maybe I'm spoiled by Candlelight, but I just expect more than what looks like a breaded human thumb tossed in hot grease and covered in a mediocre sauce. Maybe I'm being too harsh (yeah, probably), but it's on the lower scale even of the pizza place wing spectrum, which is already playing below-par. All in all, I recommend order some sweet pizzas from this place if you have a party, but stay away from the wings if you don't want to lose all your friends for being the idiot that ordered the awful wings.

pizza is good but the other dishes are just terrible. Spaghetti tastes like Chef Boyardee, Lasagna was awful -- and it's hard to make an awful lasagna. Chicken piccata was a gelatinous mess.
