I've never had a more hilarious experience in a bakery prior to coming here. My mom absolutely raves about this place, but she vows to never come back after this experience. We wanted to pick up some dessert after our seafood feast, so we got here around 7. It was kind of a hectic time because of people picking up their catering orders and graduation cakes, but the entire staff were running around like headless chickens lost in a riot. When it was our turn to order, everything we wanted was either in the back of the bakery, MIA totally or frozen (yes, they were selling frozen brownies). Eventually we ended up with some brownies in ice blocks and half-assed ricotta-filled lobster tails. Sure, it was good, but at least SOMEBODY on staff should know where their products are!

My wedding cake from Francesco Bakery came out amazing!!! It looked better than we expected and it tasted so good too. All my guests enjoyed the cake and could not stop complimenting about it. Francesco did a wonderful job. They are the one to go to for your wedding cake!!

Hands down my favorite bakery on long island (and I have been to a lot) the staff is nice , desserts are delicious and best part if you go close to closing they will throw in a few extra pastries for free.

The smell can just stop you in your tracks. I have trouble deciding what is my favorite item. I could eat their cannolis until I burst but they have some amazing cakes too. The cookie platters at the holidays are always a big hit. If you ever had to wait on the line for the holidays though you will know why they are so long. Amazing baked goods. Worth going out of the way for.

I was forced to use this bakery because my wedding catering hall uses them. From the start we did our "cake tasting" in the store front window with no seats and bumble bees swarming us. The event manger LILLY is horrible! She is rude and has no idea what shes doing. I gave her a picture of what I was interested in and it was like I was showing her a foreign language. When I return her follow up calls 2mins after she called me, she would have no idea who I was, and call me by 5 different names and then get an attitude when I correct her. Worst of all was the day of my wedding, when I had a venue change and still wanted to have my cake, willing to pay any additional charges bc of the change she was DISGUSTING to me and my sister that was try pay her! She hung up on me, when we called back was refusing to process anything is wouldn't listen to the address change! I WARN YOU DONT DONT USE THIS BAKERY! refuse if your hall makes you work with them!!! BEWARE!!!

I had to pay a Shiva call this past Monday night and realized that my favorite bakery is closed on that day. Francesco's is very close to where I work and they happened to be open so it worked out perfectly. They are an Italian-American bakery, but mostly all the bakery items that I have purchased from Francesco's in the past have been Italian. Unfortunately, being that my friend was Jewish, I felt that I should go the American route this time. I think Apple Pie is as American as you can get and luckily they had some left. I asked that one be put aside for me just in case. All I can say is thank G-d my friend is not Kosher!! All the Italian bakery items I have purchased here have always been delicious. The Rainbow Cookies are made with a very thin layer of jelly and are so moist, they are devoured in my house. The Cannoli's are incredible and the cream fills the entire Cannoli shell - no hollow middles. Nothing worse than paying for a Cannoli and wind up only getting half of one. Francesco's also makes an 8" square Tiramisu cake which is probably one of the best I have ever had. The cost is $21.00 and worth every penny. Now, getting back to the Apple Pie. It was OK, but considering how exceptional everything else has been, it left me feeling a little disappointed. No shortage of apples which was not the problem. The apples were hard, the flavor was good and the crust was doughy and dry. But, some people at my friends house must have thought it was really good because a few went back for seconds and I couldn't even finish my first piece. So, go figure that one!! Would I buy another Apple Pie from Francesco's, no. Would I go back to Francesco's for my Italian bakery items, absolutely!! They have never let me down before. Note: Francesco's has been around since 1986. They are open 7 days a week (7AM-9PM) and Sunday and Monday till 8PM. They have another store located in Massapequa.

After passing by a few times in my first month living in the area, I finally decided to stop in for some bread. The selection of Italian pastries is wonderful and they even had some free samples on the counter. Just by tasting those, I will go back for more. The bread I bought was a small, Italian loaf. I had been craving Italian bread for a while and it hit the spot. I am very happy this bakery is close by. But the icing on the cake is how friendly the people in the bakery seem to be. SO friendly, it was a breath of fresh air from some of my other experiences since I arrived! I'm sure I will be a loyal customer for a long time!

This place bakes THE most delicious Italian cookies you've tasted. They are buttery, crumbly, perfectly sweet and always fresh. I have a weakness for bakeries, but this one is my favorite.

Came here by suggestion from my co-worker. Coming here after lunch was the best idea I've made. I had no idea what pastry to get so I asked one of the working ladies to help me out. She already had a few selections in mind for new customers like me. She was cute. She gave me a box-full-o-cookies. All were delicious!

Wow, just wow. Selection is phenomenal (but they don't have Italian leaf cookies, pistachio, lemon, vanilla, strawberry, etc. - maybe they make them around Christmas only), they seriously have a massive array of sweets and treats, it is a bit overwhelming! Everything I had there was delicious, and I am not a sweets guy, they just know how to bake. Everyone was nice (Carlo is a hard working dude). Worth checking out, they have a ton of locations but this one is the main/original one I think.

Horrible! I went in search of French macarons to buy for a friend. I read a review that said they had them here, so I called and confirmed and came by. Well, they looked lovely in the case. I got home and opened the box to arrange them nicely in a tin and I noticed that one was smashed. Upon further inspection, I saw that a few were crushed. Then, I picked on up and it literally crumpled into dust in my hands. They were disgustingly stale. Now, anyone who's had a French macaron knows that they are fragile, but also soft and a bit chewy. I tried biting into one and it was hard as a rock. I spit it out. I don't understand how a bakery could even sell something knowing it's terribly old and stale. It's a shame. I suggest paying more money for a real macaron. I learned my lesson and will not be returning here.

Big thanks to Giancarlo and the team for making an amazing looking/tasting cake for our engagement party at the Westbury manor!! Giancarlo is great to work with and gave us tips on how to make our cake look special and unique. We got a cannoli and Raspberry filling and every one of our guests loved our cake! Most of our guests thought it was a wedding cake! THanks for everything Giancarlo and sorry for all the times we called to bug you lol!

Customer service could use improvements. I wanted to order 2 custom cakes and the kid at the Farmingdale location couldn't answer any questions, said I'd have to call the Hicksville location because that's apparently where the custom cakes are baked. Fair enough. Lady who answered at the Hicksville location was abrupt and condescending. To top it off SHE couldn't answer any questions either- not about lead time, not about, well, anything. The cakes I want are relatively simple - 1 fondant round and 1 buttercream sheet cake. What I want is nearly identical to the ones shown on the site gallery, and I'm ready to pay full price up front over the phone. But I guess this place doesn't want my money, I don't know.

I am having my daughter's sweet 16 at the Westbury manor and Francesco's bakery is the preferred cake vendor. After reading all the reviews Here I was a bit skeptical about going. I was stuck in traffic and called Francesco's bakery to notify them that I would be running late and they were very nice about it. Upon arrival I was greeted very nicely by the staff. I met with GianCarlo who educated us on all the fillings, flavors and many different designs. All the cakes we tried were good but to my surprise my daughter loved the raspberry and custard which was excellent. Overall My daughter's and I had an excellent experience at Francesco's, even ended up buying deserts to take home and everyone loved it. Can't wait to see the cake!

This is the first time I have written a Yelp review. We recently found out my wife was pregnant with twins. I decided to surprise our family with a gender reveal party and have cupcakes filled with blue cream. #1 listing on Yelp is Francesco's so we thought that was a safe bet. The expectation was everyone would be impressed with these bakery products and once they bite into the cupcake it would reveal the blue cream and we would celebrate. Clearly that was ambitious. When my wife showed me the box of cupcakes, I truly thought she was pulling a prank on me. I was clearly misguided with having high hopes after paying $3.50 each for 24 cupcakes. I do not mind paying for quality products, but with a few boxes of betty crocker my son and I could have done a better job. Half of the cupcakes have the blue cream on the cupcake liners so there goes the surprise. I am no baker, hence why I paid one to due the job, but I think one of the key requirements for these types of cupcakes is not to reveal the gender. Oh well - we are still excited for our "reveal party" and we are considering smearing pink frosting on some of the cupcakes to throw people off. Lets hope they taste better than they look.

Came here Christmas Eve to purchase assorted cookies. Didn't get the prepackaged ones since I am extremely allergic to all type of nuts and so is some of my family members. I Picked out the cookies I wanted and advised the young man to make it a total of 2lbs with the cookies I picked. Christmas Day open the box and realized the box was mixed with all types of assorted cookies including almonds, nuts etc. Very disappointed since the cookies had to be thrown in the garbage due to nut allergy. Called to speak to the manager about what happen was told i would get a call back and no one ever called. Very disappointed!

Food: 3 stars Service: 4 stars Value: 3 stars atmosphere: n/a Will I be back? Not sure I'm not a connoisseur of italian baked goods, my wife is. She loves those rainbow cookies, tiramisu, and canoli. So I thought I'd get her some for her birthday. they didn't have individual slices of tiramisu, but I got the other two. Food: her words, not mine: rainbow cookies were pretty good and canoli was just ok. Service: There was a lot of customers, but only one person serving. Another came out from the back after taking a phone order. Was fairly quick, but wasn't very helpful when I asked for recommendations. Value: Wasn't great for what I got, wasn't horrible. Will I be back?: It is very convenient and close to where I live, so perhaps. But i'm constantly searching for good bakeries.

I have been coming here for years because I live a few blocks away. They were the go-to bakery and when bringing their desserts to parties everyone enjoyed them. Their quality of their desserts have really gone down hill, which is sad. Now that they have expanded I think they can't keep up or are making too many desserts and aren't selling enough. Why two stars ? 2nd time getting something that was spoiled. No, it wasn't sitting in my fridge for a few days and spoiled, it was bad when bought. First it was a chocolate cream pie and the most recent one was banana cream pie. When tasting, it was clearly "bad" it had that weird zing when the milk goes bad. Really embarrassing considering we had it out for guests too. Such a shame about this bakery.

Our wedding hall sent us to francescos. We couldn't ask for better. Cake tasting went well! Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. Our guests were raving about it. For our one year anniversary I went back to francescos. We got a similar version of our cake topper and I ordered an additional cake. They were both delicious and so was our 1 year old cake. This has become our bakery to go to!! Love their cookies too!

While the baked goods are above average, the experience I had in the store is not something I can let slide. I was in the store the other day to buy cookies and overheard someone screaming at employees calling them stupid, incompetent, and useless. When I asked the girl helping me who the man was she informed me he was the OWNER. I am a District Manager for a large retail chain of several thousand stores and I have never been more appalled. If I or any of my managers spoke to an employee the way this horrendous man did, it would be escalated to the Regional HR director and there would be a suspension. How exactly does this man think it is at all acceptable to treat his employees like this? It is demeaning, rude, inappropriate, and quite frankly unacceptable. Obviously there is no HR or customer service number for me to call to escalate this to, but I had to put my experience somewhere for others to take note of. I have made the decision to not patronize this bakery again. It is my sincere hope that others will find the way this man treats his employees as ridiculous as I do and follow my lead. If this is how he treats his employees within ear shot of customers, how horribly does he treat them behind the scenes? I am seriously considering contacting the NYS Board of Labor to further investigate.

Great selection of cakes and cookies. I ordered a custom bridal shower cake, the cake was delicious and gorgeous. The cake was decorated to look like a wedding gown. Everyone was amazed at the craftsmenship and that the cake tasted fresh and flavorful. It was a wonderful experience dealing with Francesco.

I was going here on a weekly basis but then all of a sudden realized that these nasty ladies behind the counter act like they are doing me a favor by serving me. Now I go to the Sweet Surrender down the street and at least get a smile! Someone please mail them a toy from AdamandEve.com .

Went here with Sarah Jessica Parker on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. We ate great cookies in the backseat of a 1976 Ford Station Wagon. Highly recommended. You can do it too. All you need is a driver.

Was in the area and was in the mood for something sweet. There is not much in the way of bakeries in the Hicksville area. I got a seeded rye bread and a eclair. The rye bread was ok nothing special at all and the eclair was just uhh also nothing to write home about. The staff were friendly and helpful. They did have a lot of very tasty looking items

They sold my husband an old cake-yellow sponge with chocolate buttercream frosting. The cake was noticeably stale and got me sick. Won't be coming back.

Franceso's is becoming the Scotto Brothers of Bakery! They are in Bethpage, Farmingdale, a Plainview fruit stand location, and have began running the well known Erga bakery from what I am told! I like the fresh flavor, Italian butter cookies, Italian pasteries, and also Italian cheesecake is good! They also had an outstanding walnut danish cake but that was last year... the cookies I can vouch for as recent as today ; ) This is a reliable place for flavorful cookies to bring on holidays or for yourself anytime. There are always enough people in all of the locations to help. They seem to be serious about being a bakery...

Highly Recommended! I went with this bakery for my wedding cake. I wanted to go with something simple, lovely, and delicious and got all three! Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. I set up an appointment to taste cakes. The appointment we had set did not work out so they called much in advance to postpone for any day and time that worked best for us. When we arrived the workers made us feel welcomed offering us coffee, tea and other beverages on the house while we looked at our options. We got to mix and match ideas and flavors to make the perfect combination (yellow cake with butter cream and cannoli filling). Every cake was spongy and delicious; and the fillings were tasty, but not too sweet. I look forward to returning for future events!

Because Francesco's works with Fox Hollow, I was given no choice but to go here for my wedding cake...and I was thankful for that! At the cake tasting we tried so many delicious flavors that it was hard to pick just one - so we did 2! We alternated a cannoli filling layer with a layer of vanilla custard & raspberry filling - it was SO delicious! I am still eating the leftovers a few days later and it tastes just as fresh as it did the night of the wedding. I also got many compliments on how beautiful the cake was.

I'm so glad I only come to town occasionally ! This is what Heaven will smell like if I'm so lucky! The jelly donuts are yummy. The cookies are to die for . Next time I'll try some cake...don't care what flavor....I want cake.

Francesco's as a whole is one of the best bakeries on Long Island. It was the bakery of choice for St. Rocco's Feast in Glen Cove (oh boy the best Italian festival I have EVER seen with) when I found out about it and HAD TO check it out! I've even been all over Italy and I have to say this bake shop does a great job with pastry. The lobster tails, canoli, napoleons, sfoigatelle, and St Joseph's pastries are out of this world here. Also it's not too expensive to make a variety box which I have done repeatedly for the holidays in my big Italian family without disappointment. You DEFINITELY HAVE TO get to one of the Francesco's locations on Long Island. Stupendously delicious.
