true deli sytle sandwiches that are tasty and big. The first time visitor might be overwhelmed by the guys behind the counter yelling over the counter to the customer seemingly 15th in line! Somehow they hear you scream across the deli for what you want, make it and promptly get it to you within a few minutes. You go to pay and they throw in a bag of chips (you don't get to choose, but still a nice touch). You can be in and out in 10 mins. But don't go near the counter until you are ready to order -- the guys behind the counter are tough. Ok so I am revising my review -- I have to say even though the pressure to make a decision can at time be stressful but you are always satisfied with what you get.

If you don't live/work in the area, you will most likely never go here. But if you do find yourself lost by the Southern tip of Manhattan, and have only 15 minutes for a bite... go here. Dirty deli food, mmm. I always (ALWAYS) get the Tabasco Chicken over Rice. Let me enlighten the masses.... Its chicken simmering in a tabasco-cream sauce... its just spicy enough. All of this over rice, which is cooked with butter, carrots, and peas. Holy moly. The breakfast sandwiches create a line in the morning... construction workers and Wall St-types alike line up for them. Lunchtime Brisket comes in huge portions and I hear that its delicious as well. I don't work in the area anymore, and I don't miss much from the neighborhood. That is, except for the Tabasco Chicken.

Average sandwiches, and the guy behind my counter was working overtime hitting on my friend. ..and she's not very attractive.

They bake their muffins fresh then if you want they can toast it with butter. Yum! Also you can get scrambled eggs hash browns and a small coffee as a deal for super cheap.

They've got the best sandwiches! Downside is don't order delivery from them, they suck at it and make a lot of mistakes, even if they're just across the street, it'll take an hour for you to get your food right. Just walk over and order quick because those guys eat newbies who order like my grandmother for breakfast. Chop chop!

Sandwich was very filling! I had the Smokey (smoked turkey on pumpernickel) and asked to have it with pepper jack cheese and hot peppers. It was really quite good! The only knock on the place is their selection of chips, nothing in the jalapeno variety. As a brown person, this is key.

All American I eat here almost everyday for a reason. The soups are awesome especially the pasta e fagioli . The sandwiches are all fresh and they give you plenty of choices. I have never had a bad experience here and I believe this to be the best in the area. The Godfather is off the charts.

Yay!! My favorite deli in lower Manhattan. I'd give them five stars, but the lunch prices can be kinda pricey. Breakfast is quite affordable. FAST service; in and out in no more than 10 minutes. Bagels, sandwiches, Boar's head meats, cereal, hot meals, juices, sodas, snacks - everything!

Of all the generic delis in the financial district it really doesnt stand out in any positive way. There will invariably be some people who love a sandwich or two but overall its lackluster quality and generic prices and poor service, don't bother, just find another deli down the street

Decent deli in terms of quality of meats/cold cuts, but they cannot get your order right to save their lives! I have ordered from here twice now, and both times they managed to leave stuff off of my sandwich. And this is not a complicated order we're talking about here...turkey, avocado, hot peppers. That's it. Three things. How do you screw that up?? Clearly, because the guys working the counter just don't care enough to get it right. With a plethora of other delis literally within a block radius, go elsewhere. Try Zigolinis...same price, same quality, and they have yet to screw my order up.

They delivered pizza to me in BPC at 2am.. can't beat that! Plus, the pizza was really good.. and I'm not just saying that because I was drunk (I had a slice the next day too). I have never ordered anything else from here, but I was pleased with the pizza and their delivery service.

If you love your American lunch with a heaping side order of American chaos, I couldn't American recommend this place strongly enough. Usually the place is American packed at lunch, but they move fast and there's always a nice American energy buzzing in the place. It definitely helps break up the monotony of an American office! I American work down the street and come here pretty often, and I'd strongly American recommend the American Tuna Melt or the American Italian (the Italian American?). You also get a free little bag of American chips or American pretzels and a pickle with your American sandwich! Overall, a good place to hit for lunch if you're working in FiDi! ALSO: It's not American cash only anymore! They definitely accept credit cards now.

Quick, efficient deli. They make great breakfast sandwiches- my favorite is whole wheat, 2 egg whites, cheese and ham. They get your order right, and they make your order quick. The minimum for credit card is $5. For lunch, they have a good variety of sandwiches, and its pretty crowded.

All American has a wide variety of sandwiches, and make wonderful to-order salads, all of which, while not stellar, are more than acceptable. It's quick and convenient - you're in and out in just a few minutes.

NOT HAPPY ABOUT OVER CHARGING ABOVE THE MENU PRICE!!! I only went in this deli twice for breakfast. I thought they made a decent omelet. However, they over charged me 50 cents above the price on the menu behind the counter for my Western Omelet. I asked the server if he added anything to my order, an he said no. So, I asked him why he over charged me. He told me he didn't. I'm sorry, but why are you charging over and above the menu price. The lame answer I got was that they increased their prices a couple months ago. So, change the prices on the menu then. That is shady and not fair to consumers. Not even one star for this place.

This is where I go for my morning coffee because it's 20 steps away from my office, and the prices are the best on the block. They're cash only, but they also take Seamless & Eat24 orders which they've always gotten correct and ready on time. The staff are usually nice and very efficient. They once upgraded the size of my lunch order from a small to a large for no extra cost! It's busy during the day with both construction and office workers, but the lines move fast so you'll be out to clock in to work on time.

Best place to grab a sandwich in the financial district. Meats and cheeses are freshly sliced. Bread is fresh. Fries aren't bad. Ordering can be chaotic but you get used to it. Definitely worth it.

THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY! I didn't know this the first time and completely blew my whole lunching afternoon trying to find a cash machine...it was a nightmare. However, I usually get the Tuna Salad on Rye, and its a very traditional place with great bread and the tuna salad is awesome. I love that there are pickles you can just take to go. The Turkey on Rye is also awesome, I mean- its a traditional deli, how can you go wrong?

Best deli downtown, hands down - i m surprised it doesnt have more fans - i can tell you almost everyone who eats there is a regular (just not the yelp-savvy kind, i suppose). Sandwiches are massive and well made. Lately, i ve become big fan of their salad bar - its small but has everything you would need and is way cheaper than ziggolini's or any of the other salad places (although you wont find the exotic toppings that zig's offers, which is why i think they too have a place on the standard downtown lunch rotation). Also, the salad comes with water, add pretzels or bag of chips for $.25...defnly beats street meat by a mile!

Unforunately, this is the closest deli to my work place, and I don't have time for lunch. I gotta grab and run. I say unfortunately because I'm not a real fan of the place. It's a very very generic, plain deli. I usually get the salads, which you can 'make-your-own'. They recently put up actual prices for the items, but I think before they did that they would charge you whatever they felt like (obviously they changed because they got complaints). Their salads start at $3 for sm, and $4 for lrg and charge for additional toppings, comes with free water, in case you were curious. The service is HORRIBLE. Now, I know it's just a regular deli, so one can't expect too much from the service aspects of it. But they should at least give you the correct order right?? They have the rudest cashier people, and they rush you like none other. Several times the cashier is so busy that they pack the food and give it to the wrong person. I had returned the sandwich that was incorrectly given to me and told them they made a mistake, and the girl behind the counter rolled her eyes at me and said, well then go get another one. seriously? Especially since I always ask to make sure that i got the correct order before i pay (to which they always stare me down as if i'm questioning them or something... well this is WHY). eat here if you must, otherwise... there are plenty of better options a block or two away.

This place has gotten much better in the past couple months. I have upgraded to 3 stars. The food seems fresher and tastier. I'm going to have to retry some dishes and see how the fare. If you need a quick lunch, give it a try.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
