Not really sure how the owner isn't in jail. The dipping sauces have GOT to be laced with crack. The pretzels are delicious--soft inside with just the right amount of crispness on the outside. The dipping pretzels are little nuggets of goodness--and then there are the dipping sauces, especially the cinnamon sugar. Friendly, over-the-top helpful staff. A tray of their pretzels makes a party--and is a great gift. A hidden gem.

I love pretzels! I can't visit the city without stopping at a cart. The smell of the charcoal, the crisp outside, the chewy inside, the tinge of brown mustard swirled around...I can't get enough! Knowing this, my wife stopped in here a few weeks ago and picked up pretzels and pretzel nuggets. Upon her return from a day of shopping, they were cold and slightly stale. I didn't feel I had an adequate basis for a review, so my daughter and I stopped in yesterday to pick up pretzels and "Cheddar Cheese" dipping sauce. These pretzels are quite a bit smaller than those you may expect to get at a pushcart or ball game, but they were quite good when fresh. The problem is they don't stay "fresh" very long, meaning buying multiple pretzels for any sort of storage isn't feasible. Another issue I had was with their so-called "cheddar cheese" dipping sauce. It was CheezWhiz! They charge me $3 for a small cup of CheezWhiz! I can buy a jar of CheezWhiz for $2.99! And who the heck has ever mistaken CheezWhiz for cheddar cheese? Perhaps I've been spoiled by the myriad restaurants now selling Pretzels w/Cheese sauces as appetizers, but if pretzels are your only commodity you need to be amazing. As it is, the Pretzel Stop is only average. Parking is serviced by a tiny lot. Do yourself a favor and park around the block - getting in and out of the lot is difficult.

Best place to get pretzels best staff best choices good selection! I always come here for pretzels. Anyone in the area pay this place a visit you won't regret it. 5 stars easily

I'm guessing this place is better for catering than stopping in for a quick snack. The staff was busy filling an order and there wasn't much to choose from. The cinnamon nuggets were cold and greasy- and although the regular pretzels were good, the cheese sauce was cold. Wouldn't go out of my way for another visit.

Ordered a small platter for my son's baptism. Definitely a hit! Try the caramel dip with the pretzels! What a great combo! The chipotle was also delish. Ordering another platter for my son's first birthday.

Ordered the large platter of pretzel nuggets for our Oktoberfest party. Super accommodating, I was able to order at 12pm and they were ready by 2:30pm, and I could pay over the phone so a friend could pick them up for me. This was my first time ordering and the platter was huge! Like the size of a platter of wraps , about 18inches in diameter and pack to the top! I thought we'd have a ton left over, they all went! The cinnamon sugar dip was a huge hit, the cheese was good but didn't stay warm so not great for outside unless you have a dipper warmer or something. Everyone wanted to know where they came from, will definitely be ordering again for future parties!

Five star soft pretzels. Not like the frozen "super pretzels", these bad boys are made fresh and they taste delicious. Recently I went to a super bowl party and the pretzel nuggets were the star(s) of the game. The pretzel nuggets are small round puffs of soft dough sprinkled with the perfect amount of salt. At the party they were inside a large sand pale. I'm guessing there were about 200 or more of them! This was my first introduction to these salty drugs and from the first taste I was addicted. I literally couldn't put them down.. But it wasn't just me, everybody was amazed by how good they were. They were also accompanied by a delicious cinnamon and caramel dipping sauce which went pretty quick. I am a fan and hope more locations open up in the long island area.

One of my favorite places in town. Fresh soft pretzels that are as good as they get. And the pretzel nugget platters are perfect when you need to bring something to a party but can't figure out what.

Pretzels. In the heart of a land known for too many pizza parlours, bagel stores and delicatessens comes something truly wünderbar - A Pretzel Joint. The proprietress is a rather charming older lady who goes out of her way to be friendly. I mentioned I had been wanting to try the place for quite some time, and finally decided to. She not only told me about the store and what was to to be offered, but she provided me with a great sample! The pretzels were simply delectable to boot. Crunchy, chewy, salted, not too thin, not so think they are doughy and most importantly - FRESH. she explained they can keep in a freezer like a bagel - merely requiring some toasting after the fact. I shall most certainly return and recommend this to all!

OMG so good,,,stopped by today,,,such nice people!!! got 3 pretzels for me and bf and chipolte mayo to dip in,,,,everything was hot and yummy,,,,can't wait for more!!!

Their pretzels are amazing!!!!! I could eat them everyday. They are great appetizers, and gifts! I highly highly recommend them for any event or just a weekend snack.

My office ordered $35 worth of pretzels... When we called, they never told us it would be a $10 delivery charge to deliver it 2 miles away. When they got here, they were a day old, cold, and we were charged $6 for 2 extra pretzels we didn't even order. VERY disappointed! I called the stop manager & she told me her mother took the order and if she had hot the call she would have told us no because they only do big orders! Then she said she was sorry WE misunderstood !! So rude! Don't order from them unless you feel like getting ripped off!!

I was fortunate to read JM's review as it was posted, which resulted in an immediate bookmarking of this place for a near-future visit. When I found out that I had to visit a dentist in Oceanside, I made sure to plan to stop by. Upon walking in, I was overwhelmed by all of the products available in the shop, but I was there with only one purpose - to get a good old-fashioned salted hot pretzel. Well, I got my pretzel, but in order to be hot, it had to be (carefully) heated up in a microwave. Oh well. Also, by early afternoon on a weekday, the pickings were kind of slim, so I just settled for a few of those plain pretzels. They were certainly good, but by the time I bought them, they were already starting to get hard, and the last pretzel that was eaten a few hours later needed some work to get it soft enough to eat. So that's the rub with homemade bread - you will need to eat it immediately (or right when you get home) or it's just not going to be right. But otherwise, I did enjoy the taste of the pretzels and I appreciated that they had some bottles of mustard to add to your store-eaten pretzel. Although your choices might be limited as you get near closing time (2:30 pm Tuesday to Thursday, 6:30 pm Sunday, Friday and Saturday), on the plus side, you might luck out like I did and get a few extra treats thrown in for free with your order. I did appreciate the bag of pretzel nuggets that was added to my order so they didn't have to throw them out. So I would say that the business owner is definitely generous and worth you giving them a try. They are the only soft pretzel bakery on Long Island, after all!

Very friendly employees and delicious pretzels for a steal! They only had nuggets prepared for sale, but its also the day after New Years and only 10:30am. So we caught them at an odd time. The nuggets were so tasty though! I love that this store exists and hope they get a lot of business! Great pretzels!

Past by this spot today and had to stop in and check it out. Maybe if you live in Pennsylvania the idea of a pretzel bakery is not a big deal. However in NY, finding this place was like striking pretzel gold. You walk through the door into a bakery cranking out soft and delicious pretzels right in front of you. The very friendly person working the counter (and one of the machines) mentioned with a smile and flour on her face what they had for sale at the moment and what was in the oven waiting to come out. There a very few things that beat a hot fresh pretzel out of the oven. I was very happy to drop $2 on what was probably the best regular soft pretzel, I've had in like 15years. That one was from a truck parked outside the federal mint in philadelphia. Place runs a mid week special, $10 for 12 regular pretzels and takes orders over the phone. They have a bunch of speciality flavors and choices on the menu, that I'll be back to sample. Place is awesome.

Not only is the owner of the place a sweet heart, the pretzels are DELICIOUS! I get the party platter every year for both of my children's school birthday parties (because the kids love them AND all of Pretzel Shop items peanut allergy free). I'm thinking of getting baskets for some Christmas gifts here.
