We drove by this place on our way home from the Renaissance Festival a couple weekends ago. Tonight we decided we wanted BBQ but I have not been impressed with Sticky Lips or Dinosaur lately.. so we decided to give it a whirl. Its a dive on the inside but if you know anything about good food - dives are where it's at. I would give this place 5 stars but the tables were extremely dusty and condiments were hard to come by. It a place where you can get take out or sit in house. We ordered the Brisket, with fried Okra and Mac Salad. And one of the platters that had BBQ chicken, pulled pork and ribs with corn and potato pancakes. The brisket was heavenly - perfectly cooked with a dry rub seasoning. It was juicy and literally melted in your mouth. The crust was perfection. Skip Stickey Lips or Dinosaur and just come here for Brisket. I had never had okra before so this was a treat - the fried version was really delicious and their mac salad was a mustard blend, really nicely done. The assortment platter was also delicious, perfectly cooked. The only thing was the meat did not fall off the bone of the ribs - kind of tough that night. We had a great meal - place was packed with locals and possibly the owners grandkids running around. The only thing that skeeved me was the cleanliness of the tables. Ours was incredibly dusty, I grabbed a napkin from the holder on the table and an insane amount of dust blew into the air. Skeeved me out. The tables need to be wiped down with some serious cleaner and the chairs dusted. The place could use some TLC. Its a dive, and I understand what comes with that idea, but where people eat should be cleaner. The food was great so we will give it one more go-around and hopefully the kid behind the counter can remember to wipe the tables after people leave.

Really good BBQ. Sauce reminds me a lot of my mom's recipe. Probably the best BBQ and southern sides you can get up north. As a southerner, I appreciate having a place that reminds me of home. Can't wait to try more items.

I'm a BBQ fan, lived in Kansas and Kansas City so I'm harsh on bbq joints. Bad to the Bone is good. It can vary somewhat in quality but it's mostly very good food. Friendly, laid back and country good eating.

In our party, we had brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. The meats were all done Kansas City style. The brisket and ribs were outstanding, but the pulled pork was a touch dried out. The sauce was excellent, but no sauce can resurrect over-cooked pork. The sides were OK but not great. The staff were courteous and professional, but not personable. Bottom line: some of the best BBQ I've had in a long, long, time. I would definitely come back or recommend to a friend.

I'm an out of towner from Dallas. My family has driven past here for years, but I finally convinced them to stop in. Glad I did! Very good bbq! Excellent fried okra. The staff we very nice and the actually location itself is great. The bbq is cooked to perfection. I'm sure they'll now be coming back for years to come!

The beef brisket is the star here. If you appreciate it you'll know what I am talking about, if not, there a still some good options here. The brisket was juicy and tender inside with just a thin char of crust on the edge and slice about 1/8 -1/4 inch thick, just right. Some people would have felt the need to add sauce but this brisket certainly did not need it. Greta flavor and texture on its own. On this visit I had the Brisket platter with collard greens and mac-n-cheese. At 13.99 it is decently priced. I frequently choose these sides because they are both hard to do really well but easy to do just o.k.,which is what most places do. Here the greens were done very well with only subtle hints of vinegar and pepper, and they still had some firmness - not overcooked. The mac-n-cheese was good enough but not special, most people will like it and kids certainly will eat it all. M&C adds 50 cents. My advice skip the sides or at least skip the M&C or fries. You can get fries anywhere. Giving in to gluttony I managed to also stuff in a pulled pork sandwich ( at 5.89 a bargain!) that I order because my eyes were bigger than stomach (apparently not!). The pulled pork is a solidly decent option and is no slacker, but is IMO a better sandwich than a stand alone meat selection. Still its a good choice. Having tried their ribs twice before at the Rib-fests, and being particularly snobby about ribs, I admit, that as to ribs I am very hard to please, I would say their's are good enough, o.k., but for me, not the attraction. So on this visit, I went for the winner the Brisket. With the zooming traffic on Route 104 it can be easy to pass this place by as it seems small when cruising by at 55+ mph, so slow down a bit to cruise into the gravel parking lot and enjoy some good brisket.

Until a few weeks ago, I had never even heard of this place. My husband happened to come here for lunch while he was working in Webster for the day. He hadn't heard of it either until one of his coworkers recommended it for lunch. Since he came home that day, he couldn't stop talking about this place and how it had the best BBQ in the area. I like Dinosaur BBQ although I feel their quality has somewhat declined over the years. Sticky Lips is alright, I don't love them and I don't hate them. I was looking forward to trying something different. We made the drive out to Williamson this weekend and we were not disappointed! If you're unfamiliar with the area, it can be easy to drive right past it. When we were there for lunch, we decided that to give this place a fair shot, we would stay and eat. We walked up to the register and ordered a couple of combos which included brisket, ribs, chicken, pulled pork, french fries, mac and cheese, and cornbread. The meat was amazing. I was really impressed with the brisket and unlike other places, this brisket was very juicy and tender. The pulled pork was amazing. I didn't try the ribs because they don't agree with me but my husband tells me they were flavorful and tender and I did witness the rib meat literally fall off of the bone. The french fries came out hot, fresh, and crispy. The mashed potatoes were great and tasted like homemade. The cornbread was good and the mac and cheese was a little disappointing, it was pretty bland and cold. Overall, I would definitely go back only next time, I would skip the mac and cheese. I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you're in the area or you have the time to make the drive out to Williamson NY.

Food was good, very wholesome and stick to it insides food. Food came out fast, and extra bbq sauce, hot sauce, and katchup a plenty. Staff didn't seem very friendly, and the girl running the counter didn't know anything. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Which could have easily been made up for with a great staff. It wasn't

This is pretty good. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, collard greens, and potato cakes. Collard greens were tender and tasty, potato cakes were awesome and the pulled pork was fine. I added a ton of the barbeque sauce that was on the table to the pulled pork sandwich. I think it would have been dry/plain otherwise, but I think that about most places that serve pulled pork. Make sure to ask for a side of sauce if you are getting it to go! Prices were reasonable. Atmosphere is plain, but nice enough considering it is a bbq joint. Service was ok. Wouldn't make a trip out here purposely to go but would definitely plan to stop if it was on the way.

Excellent little BBQ joint right on 104. Very clean log cabin feel inside with counter service and an assortment of very clean tables inside and out. We shared the combo platter of Brisket and pulled pork with smoked green beans, BBQ beans and Cajun corn. All sides were very good......Cajun corn was delicious.....made with fresh corn on the cob with just a hint of Cajun spice, I think these were my favorite. BBQ Beans were a bit heavy on the sweet and molasses but still very good. Meats were excellent, awesome flavor and not a bit of fat on anything. Didn't even need any additional BBQ sauce. Could use a little improvement on the corn muffins.....they could be a little more moist and flavorful .....they're a little dry and crumbly ( Remind me a little too much of Jiffy cornbread). But all in all.....AWESOME. This place would totally give Sticky Lips and overpriced Dinosaur BBQ a run for their money. I will stop by here every chance I get...

We've driven by before and hadn't really heard anything. Just decided to stop in and give it a try. We smelled the wood smoke as soon as we pulled in the parking lot and we had high hopes. We had ribs, chicken, pulled pork, cornbread, fried okra, mashed potatoes, baked beans and the smoked green beans. Ribs were cooked very well - great texture and flavor. Meaty. Taste profile was a little sweet, but worked well with the other flavors in the rub and sauce. The pulled pork was great, flavorful, tender, nice pieces of bark. The chicken was delicious and had the pink smoked color. Sides were all tasty and seemed homemade. I didn't love the mashed potatoes and gravy. My 6-year old ordered kids cheeseburger meal. He liked the burger. He also got a slush puppy. They have 6 flavors :) The inside is... Rustic but comfortable and it comes by the patina honestly. Definitely will recommend and go back.

If you like Smoked Barbecue this is a must stop. Ribs have the light pinkish color that you can only get from smoking. Great flavor. I would recommend the pulled pork, rib and chicken combo. Great food. Passed by the place turned around to check it out, glad I did. I'll be back next time I'm passing through the area.

OK, I love good food. I pleasure fabulous food ! I've been going to this place since the key turned and I won't eat anything else unless I'm forced to. I have the phone number on speed dial and eat there at least two, three times a month. ( the wife thinks maybe once or twice). The ribs are indeed the best, the rub and sauce are phenomenal. If I can make a suggestion get the half a chicken and a small order of the ribs with the cornbread and coleslaw. Last year I attended a wedding where bad to the bone catered the event. People were raving more about the food then the bride's dress... I kid you not....you can call them and within 20 to 25 minutes you can pick up your plate meal... Don't pass this place up.

Let me explain something here......Never, have I ever.....ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, everrrrrrrr......had BBQ as good as Bad To the Bone. The meat and the bbq sauce was so good, I instantly wanted to smack somebody. The chicken and ribs literally fell off the bone. It's funny because maybe I'm just not an experienced BBQ lover, but I always thought that expression was just something people say. But I picked up that chicken thigh, and the meat just slid right off. Almost as if it was a boneless chicken and someone just slipped a bone in there for good measure. Everything was juicy, smokey, and all around unbelievable good. I had the fries and coleslaw as a side. Man...listen. It saddens me that I'm only here temporarily. I wish I could take that place and stick it in my kitchen. If you are ever in town, you know where to go.

I am thinking I might have went to Bad to the Bone on a bad day. I read the reviews and was hoping for some good barbecue for dinner. I ordered the 1/4 chicken and ribs dinner which came with 2 sides and corn bread. I chose potato pancakes and beans for the sides. When my dinner arrived it was slathered with sauce on the chicken, I should have asked for it on the side. The chicken was tasty but pretty dry. The ribs did not fall off the bone as everyone else seemed to suggest, the ribs were dry and almost to the point of being burnt. The ribs were however tasty, it just seemed like they were over cooked to me. The potato pancakes had more of an onion taste than potato and I am not a fan of onions, so that immediately turned me off to them. The beans were very zesty, too much so for me. The corn bread tasted pretty good, but it was ice cold. If I have a choice between Bad to the Bone and Famous Dave's, I will drive the distance to Famous Dave's every day of the week.

Just stopped on a return trip from Wayne County and got a lunch to go. Nice clean place wIth friendly service. Ordered a quarter smoked chicken white meat with BBQ beans and tomato/cucumber salad. Chicken was great but the highlight for me was the beans! They had substance to them, not just out of a can. Way out to go on a regular basis, but definitely worth a stop when traveling route 104.

The guy at the counter steered me to the beef brisket, I was not disappointed. The sauce is thickalicious (unlike some places where it gives you flavor but also sogs everything out and you need to drown your plate) great mix of spice, savory, smokey and a bit sweet. The collard greens were well cooked. The potato pancakes were golden coins of crispy love, I did top them with the sour cream and green onions they provide, but hell they could have stood alone. In fact, I got my lunch to go and there weren't many left by the time I got to the house. I don't know if I would want to go on a work lunch hour because you leave smelling like you were in a smoker, good for the belly but bad for the clothes.

Booked this restaurant to cater my daughters graduation - just on the reviews. So we thought we would take a trip out there to try it out today. I think this is the best BBQ near the Rochester area....yes people including Dinosaur and Sticky Lips! This is so worth the trip. The Ribs were smoked perfectly and the seasoning was not too salty as we have found with some other BBQ places. The chicken was tender and moist and the pulled pork was perfection. Love the corn bread also. All and all a yummy place to visit. Its out by Sodus but I would most definitely take the trip again. Its one of the food places that you'll have a craving for!

Love this place. I always get the beef brisket. I spent 5 years in NC and have to say that this is my favorite BBQ option.

I've had just about everything on the menu. It's ok, far from great. Portions are tiny, meat is usually dry, as is the cornbread (when it's not sold out, or missing from the takeout order). Service is horrible. Expect to wait at least 10-15 minutes if you show up on time for take out orders.

Great BBQ joint. If you are east of rochester on 104, this is a must stop. Delicious cajun corn, great BBQ sauce. The owner is from Louisiana and knows his BBQ. Great BBQ Beans, ribs, and chicken. His grilled chicken has the best smokey flavor.

The ribs are very good; moist, tasty pulled pork barbecue....we've been here three times in two weeks! Large sandwiches, excellent cole slaw. If you don't want to drive all the way into Rochester for BBQ, check this place out.

Worth the drive from the Xerox Webster campus. They give big helpings of very good barbecue. The meat on the chicken and ribs just falls off the bone. I really enjoy the cajun corn as a side. Take extra pre-moistened handy wipes...like 10 of them at least as this isn't the tidiest of meals to consume. What barbecue is, though?
