BEST COLOMBIAN EMPANADAS EVER. Okok, maybe that's exaggerating too much. I'm sure somewhere else you can find delicious colombian empanadas but on Long Island, I always recommend this bakery. They fill the empanadas a lot of whatever you decide to try: cheese, chicken, meat. Usually, I take a bite and there's a little bit of filling. But this place is generous. I've tried their desserts too, forgot which ones but delicious as well. I've seen people picking up cakes more than once, always beautifully decorated. Definitely check this place out. You'll be lucky if you find a seat since there's only about 5 tables. Always packed! Majority of people just pick up food and go. Don't come too late or they might be out of certain empanadas. Happend to me once. But once again, CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. This place is packed for a reason!

Today I picked up an absolutely stunning tres leches birthday cake. I hate to buy boring cakes so I always try my best to find beautiful and unique ones. The cake was not only pretty, but delicious! Everyone loved it! I was trying to pick between the 10 and 20 person size and I'm glad I went with the 20 because everyone literally devoured it. I also got a couple of pan de queso which I love. And yeah, you need to perfect your pointing skills or brush up on a bit of Spanish. But so worth it! Will be back for the food...

I found this place with my yelp app! We were on our way to an evening BBQ, needed to pick something up to bring, didn't want to go out of our way.....soooooo I hit "search" and this place came up with great reviews! and on the super plus side, it was only a few blocks away from our destination. Got a parking almost rite in front of the place...great!! Great Spanish style bakery! Kind of small, has about 10ish tables and an "L" shaped counter. I always take note of how packed or not packed a place is....this place had a family at almost every table and a line at the counter. They had at least 4 counter girls. Everything looked fresh. They had cookies and breads in one section, fresh baked cakes that looked really pretty in another section and a section of cake slices. I decided to go with a variety of cake "slices", this way I could hopefully get something everyone liked. I chose tres leches topped with sliced almonds and a strawberry, a caked topped with mango, strawberry and kiwi (which looked like a slice of freshness), carrot cake and strawberry tres leches. At $2.50 a slice, I got a bakery box full of slices for a little over 20 bucks, which I think was great! Cakes were super fresh and super moist and presentation was really nice! Cake slices are also big and can be cut into 2 or 3 pieces. BBQ guest loved the selection! There were about 20 people, and there was still some cake left over! Some guest wanted a "sample" so they cut small pieces of more than one flavor. This bakery REALLY came thru for me and I'm def going back. They lost a star because I didn't see any guava or pineapple cake, missed that!

The best authentic Colombian bakery on long island. Stop by for breakfast and grab and empanada or two and some coffee, you wont regret it. Only downfall is if you dont speak Spanish, your going to get lost trying to order, ladies behind the counter only speak Spanish. Aside from baked goods they also sell typical Colombian dishes (bandeja), not the best but they're pretty good for a quick cheap lunch

I've had this place bookmarked for a couple of months now and finally got a chance to visit. I had a mean craving for tres leches and decide to stop by this place. It's located right off of Fulton near Associated supermarket. There's street parking (I think metered) in the front and a parking lot in the back. The bakery is a decent size, where you can dine in but there's only a few tables and some counter/bar stools towards the back. The counter ppl are very helpful and friendly, but you better spruce up on your Spanish if you wanna communicate with them (otherwise you can do the finger pointing and nods). On display were empanadas (I'll come back for you!!), assorted breads, individual slices of cakes (flan, tres leches etc) and then the biiiiig cakes. I got a big cake of tres leches (see my pics!). It was extremely delicious and I swear I coulda ate the whole thing. I wasn't too big of a fan of the icing/whip cream but I loved the cake part. I'll def come back! FYI there's a $10 minimum if you wanna use your credit card.

Love this place but lately things aren't as good as usual. The quality of the food has decreased. Overall, it isn't terrible just a bit annoying how only one person can make change or use the register - many times causing you to wait longer than you should.

So, this is not a bakery. It's a Hispanic restaurant of some sort with pastries up front. It isn't even clean nor does it smell good in there. I did have an empanada (was starved) and it was good. But I really needed cupcakes and was disappointed.

Awesome and crunchy empanadas. They're huge compared to the ones sold in Queens , Northern Blvd.

Amazing cake! I recently got my brother in law a cake from here, it looked like a regular birthday cake on the outside but the inside was TRES LECHES!!!! Seriously the best cake that I have ever had. If I lived any closer, I would get a cake from here for every body's birthday!

Very nice bakery. You can tell by the smell of baked goods and the quality that they don't mess around. The price is reasonable and have a decent variety of items.

My experience here was very unprofessional and the food was disappointing, My food was not properly cooked, when I told them if I could get a different dish she brought back new rice and said try this, I touched the other rice to make sure it was hard and it wasnt. Her touching peoples food is unprofessional. I would recommend to go elsewhere

The food is really good if your craving Colombian/ Hispanic food. The prices are really good specially if you're on a budget. They have a great variety of baking goods. The cakes are amazing I recommend the "three milks". If you don't speak English use the finger method, it always works. They could use better plates because if you don't hold your food with both hands it might fall.

if you don't speak spanish, be prepared to use the finger-pointing method to order. The times I've lunched here, my english was met only with blank stares or confusion (good thing I am multilingual when it comes to foods). Food was pretty standard, but really cheap. I eat kind of a ghetto-tapa-style here, accumulating a bunch of paper-plate items, sharing a booth with a stranger. empanadas, maduros con queso, different types of arepas, chicharron, etc... a lot of pretty good things - nothing here that stands out, but nothing that I wouldn't mind having again.

EXCELLENT! From the service to the food, excellent. I have been there for breakfast as well as for dinner and am always happy. The bakery has great little treats from south america but the entrees are also tasty and reasonably price. The one thing that I would change is the size because it gets packed very quickly.

I'm so lucky that I live across the street from the place but at the same time, I get cravings for their goodies! I love their empanadas, and their sweet yellow arepas! I think it gets crowded because the service is fast, the prices are excellent and the staff are friendly. The environment is comfortable and regular customers feel like they are home! I have to go back and try their meals!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
