A lot of tweenagers around here. But I can't hate, I came here as a tween/teen. They often get our orders mixed up, but they're always willing to change it for you... as they should be... Other Starbucks give you attitude, but they're "nice" for New Yorkers.

Yummy, yummy, yummy. Convenient parking, friendly and fun people. Did I mention yummy?

I'd give it 5 stars but there's never enough seating. This is my regular joint for catching up on studying or work. Yeah, sometimes I have to drone out the chatter with headphones playing Enya-esque tunes...But when I do have a chance to sit and soak up the convos, it's more entertaining than any shock jock morning show or comedy sketch...Here's a snapshot: -Opera singing retired guy who, in between breaths, likes to ponder the mysteries of life to no-one in particular. -Aspiring entrepreneurs concocting global Ponzi schemes -Middle aged crowds who discuss illicit affairs (with plenty of gory details) -College students deconstructing algorithms (not fun, per se, but I feel like I'm getting a first-class education for the price of a cup of coffee) -"It's not you, it's me..." (the quintessential break-up line) -Blind dates where clearly one party is squirming See, you don't have to schlep all the way out to the city for first-class entertainment.

PACKED! This Starbucks is packed with squatters. I could only find a spot by the very blazing sunny window and it was not that comfortable for long, so I left after I finished my coffee and baked good. I wanted to do some reading while there, but that was not possible. All the comfy seats had squatters since the morning and even the oppressively sunny counter had some long winded friends sitting and chatting. Otherwise, this is a nice Starbucks. The service people are very friendly and accomodating no matter how tired they seemed. They took my Starbucks empty coffee bag without question and gave me a good cup of coffee in return. Tip them nicely. They are afterall trying to run a shop full of squatters.

We come here because it is the closest Starbucks to the house when we head to the city. While the coffee is like every other Starbucks, I have to say that the service is extremely spotty. The workers really do seem to enjoy themselves behind the counter joking around oblivious to their customers. I need my morning cup of joe like now and not after you waste 5-10 minutes fooling around. I guess because it's Queens, it's a lot more 'lax... whereas I always find the city Starbucks to always have attentive friendly service. And since it's part of a strip mall, there's plenty of parking in the lot.

Everything you want in a Starbucks + a parking lot. The only problem is that parking and find a place to sit can be a problem. Very popular hangout in the neighborhood.

Nice Starbucks. Very quiet so good place to study. Lots of parking also.

  • Kay M.

I stop here periodically for coffee after my dental appointments. I do like this location. However; I feel like this one is way too small. It is often times overcrowded with bustling students. But for type most part the staff will do their best to get you in and out!

Oyy. This branch of starbucks is... not so great. 1. If you mess up my simple tall blonde coffee, don't give it to me. I saw you accidentally pour pike in the cup and then try to cover it up by filling the rest of the cup with my blonde roast. 2. Don't give bs policies about not giving out free drinks in the venti size if I want to redeem my reward. 3. Lay out the soy milk. We don't eat to be asking for it all the time. Every afternoon. Literally.

If only I had another starbucks closer!!!!! This place has staff who are so disorganized morning and night. They can never get things right and on time. It's so frustrating but I need my starbucks in the mornings. For some reason, their double shots taste like single shot. I seriously suspect them for skipping my shots. And no I don't usually order double shots at other locations as their single is enough! Not here tho.

Rush hour times are crazy. The lines are very long and the barristas don't move fast enough to handle the crowd. They are friendly during the day but the night shift is not friendly at all. They are short and dismissive.

    (3)
  • Sadaf S.

Although this is New York, and we like our coffee quick... do not expect to roll in at 6:30 am and to receive your coffee immediately. Like I thought I would. Before I even ordered, I saw a man who was waiting for his coffee. Let's just say I ordered, was waiting for my Pumpkin Spice Latte (which was delishhhhhh), got my coffee (it took a while), and his order still wasn't ready. It's rush hour, if you have four employees working behind the counter, please do your best to speed it up and make it quick. People have to get to work. And I'm not just being snotty. It's the truth.

  • Zaneta O.

This place is so small. It's great for a coffee to go when it's not crowded but don't expect to sit down and enjoy it here. Honestly I don't like coming to this Starbucks as much as other locations. Sometimes I actually forget that it's even here. Parking is good in the free lot out back and there are several other stores nearby to do some shopping. The store itself is usually clean enough and the employees are decent but not overly friendly. I've never tried any of the food here because there are better places for food in the area.

  • Alice L.

Love the people. Love the coffee (depending who's on the bar, you know who you are *heart). Hate the lines. But life is not perfect and in this case you must wait if you want your coffee. I want to reiterate to everyone that reads this review. "Please wrap the line around the pastry case or else you will be blocking the door." It might seem simple but if everyone followed this rule the line would not only be shorter, you would probably get in and out much quicker. The "dranks" My winter time go to drink is a double tall two pump no foam no whip white mocha. Lol okay sometimes I get whip, but I deserve it ;). Re steaming milk is NEVER okay. Other times, I get iced double tall hazelnut soy lattes, iced coffees, or shaken iced teas. Never let baristas trick you by swirling. Swirling is lazy, if I wanted my tea swirled would swirl it myself. Teas should ALWAYS BE COLD and shaken!! The food A lot of people were upset and crying when they got rid of the old food and rolled out la Boulange. However, I believe it's one one the best things that has ever happened to Starbucks. The whole point of la Boulange was because corporate wanted to revamp the food portion of the company to make it just as good as the drinks. Those of you still upset saying, "oh no my reduced fat turkey bacon is gone," please get over it in all its processed glory and try something new. The new food is fresher and better. Try the new sandwiches, chocolate croissant, or one of the squares. Yum yum! Shoutout to PK and the darker side of midnight (and everyone else of course)!

This is the first Starbucks I've been in that is dirty. I was on line and observed the cashier constantly wiping his nose (I'm guessing he didn't take his allergy meds) he would wipe his nose with his hand and a snotty tissue he had in his pocket, it made me sick so after waiting on a 3 min line and seeing no on tell him to wash his hands I left. I wouldn't go back, there is too much garbage, treasure can overflowing and food on pallets behind the counter.

  • Jhade P.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars! The staff is rude and has zero customer service skills. I usually enjoy the energy in Starbucks but this location is a damn shame. Shareh which was the shift supervisor 8/31 around 5:15pm gave my fiancé a look because he was reading sugar contents on labels. I also asked her to give me more juice for the Strawberry Acaii since it wasn't full at all and she added ice when I told the cashier not to add too much ice because I hate when it waters down. She added ice!!! She also said it very rude "oh you want more ice"! Seriously I don't write harsh reviews but the girls were very nasty. The white girl was rude also. I was holding back on not flipping out. The guys had to pickup the slack. Shareh...we will be contacting corporate. Management...you should really reevaluate your staff. More than one person complained about the service at this location. Such a great company and such a horrible experience.

  • Moira B.

Always looks not clean. I was waiting on a long line this morning , but the cashier forgot me. I asked two cold coffee , but they gave me one cold one hot without any sorry. Won't go back again.

  • Margaret S.

Great service. Never had any problem with my drinks here. They pay attention to making your drinks right. Service is quick. Only thing is that it is difficult to find seating here so if you don't mind ordering on the go it is a great starbucks to go to.

    (4)
  • Yu Z.

Pros: Lots of free parking in the HUGE lot out back. Relatively clean. Great neighborhood. Great location next to other nice food venues. Cons: So small...The few seats they have are almost always taken up. And it's not like the ppl who take the seats stay for a little while and go. NOPE. They hog the seats for HOURS and DAYS.. -_-

    (3)
  • Emily Y.

What can you say about a neighborhood starbucks? Friendly staff, usual cuisine, somewhat dirtier than your normal stores and filled with lovely neighborhood locals. Perfect location for stopping in for a bite to eat and caffeinated beverage.

    (3)
  • Anna S.

I don't understand why the line is ALWAYS out the door and why they ALWAYS Ness up drink orders. No really, it's beyond frustrating. By the way after you pay 4$ for your drink, the batista is always nasty to top it off. Thanks ! :)

  • Vanessa S.

I had a great experience at this Starbucks. I came here on a coffee run for a few co-workers and everything was perfect. Great service with a smile. No confusion on 4 different coffees. For the first time EVER, I noticed they had a man playing a song on a guitar. He sounded great!! I never put together if he was hired or if he was a customer, I was too amazed to ask. This I expect in Manhattan, not Fresh Meadows! I felt like I got a bonus w my coffee purchase. Will definitely be back to see if I run into guitar man again, lol!

  • Caitlin N.

I love Starbucks (just not their prices). This location is FABULOUS! They are always SUPER busy, but they are crazy good at getting everything done quickly, and it always tastes great. Some times, they only have 1 person running the drinks, which gets a little backlogged, but when they have 2, they're a well oiled machine! There is never a table to sit at either, so don't expect to be able to hang out at this place. The parking lot is also great - you don't have to use street parking to get into this place!

    (4)
  • Kate P.

As far as Starbucks goes, this one is very consistent. I'm satisfied with the drinks. If I ask for my beverage to have a little more or less of something, the staff is accommodating. Lines can be a bit long on the weekend, as with most Starbucks; but they keep moving in a good pace and don't seem to botch up orders. At time,s I've gone in solely for Verismo espresso pods. For the most part, they generally have them in stock but a few times they did not. Today, I tried the new Oprah Chai Latte(iced). Not sure if the only difference is that a small portion goes to a charity. As far as Chai Latte goes it tastes good. I can hear Oprah saying "Kate's going home with a Chai Latteeeeeee!!!!!" And, I'm all smiles.

I'm not a fan of coffee . Though I love the fraps . The Carmel flan, tiramisu , smores , there all yummy . Flavor of the month yum! My friend gets me to go all the time for girls night out for an hr or two till we have to go home to call our boys !

    (4)
  • Nelly G.

I always get the vanilla bean frappucino when I come here. . It's definately worth a try. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich which was horrible. Starbucks is only good for it's coffee and frappucino. Don't try any of there food items

    (4)
  • Emily M.

I always find myself coming back to this store, maybe because this is the only Starbucks around this neighborhood...but I always find myself loosing patience between waiting on line, then being told "ran out of Matcha", then standing among the crowd waiting for my drink that I'm willing to leave behind just so I don't have to wait anymore. I've been to busier franchises and they were more organized!

Yet another Starbucks review. I can't believe I never got around to writing a review for this location, since it's been here since 1996, and I've been coming here just as long. As the nearest Starbucks, sometimes it wins by default, but it's by no means my favorite. Staff here is friendly and the baristas usually produce a quality product, but of course my complaints always tend to come back to the clientele. Ever since Fresh Meadows became the new hot neighborhood for people who think they've "moved on up" to flock to, this Starbucks has tended to be nauseating, being overrun with crowds of teenage girls 8-10 deep, wanna-be semi-professionals, and my favorite self important people and college kids who like to camp out all day and use the free wi-fi. There's been many a time when I've passed by and just kept it moving as people often swarm the place like locusts. Thankfully, since Red Mango opened it's been able to draw some of the lemmings that would otherwise be at Starbucks, so this location has improved. However for the general area, I still prefer the Northern Blvd location in Bayside. All in all, this is a fine Starbucks. Just avoid it when you see it packed with teenage girls and Fresh Meadows royalty, and you'll be fine.

  • Claudia S.

Always crowded (which can result in lack of seating) i do wish it was bigger. Staff is true to their beverage guarantee where if you don't like your drink, the barista will remake it for you right away. No other complaints besides size

    (4)
  • Linda W.

I love this Starbucks. Even tho its just another coffee chain. The employees make this place feel like "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. Everytime I've been greeted with smiles and some small talk. Some baristas even go above and beyond in memorizing your usual or favorite drinks and your name. I believe Hannah is one of them, but they are all wonderful. When I order specialty drinks they are fast and the drinks come out perfect everytime. The lines do get long, but it goes fast because they are just proficient here.

    (4)
  • Shirley T.

Small location and gets crowded with little space to move. This place is also crawling with students studying and hogging up all the chairs. The drinks are great though and the baristas are fast.

    (4)
  • Nat G.

It's pretty difficult to mess up a green tea frapp... Just count the measuring spoons....Pretty disappointing for an afternoon with experienced baristas... Counting the spoons is the key! It would also be helpful if it would get mixed in the non dairy blender when I ordered coconut milk. Usually this place is better than this. Had to throw away my drinks, two frapps. What a waste and disappointment.

  • Mr F G And Ms M S.

3.5 Stars! We like this Starbucks because it's only minutes away from our home & easy to find parking. This place is small, somewhat cramped. If you come in the afternoon, after 3pm, this place is filled with students. The staff were mostly pretty friendly. Fast service! The coffee quality here is always good.

    (3)
  • Sabina L.

I come here almost everyday with my girl-friend to get coffee or tea during our lunch period. I have to say, I was really disappointed when I saw the employees unwrap all the pastries and breads from their plastic packagings. I like food that is made fresh. Other than that, this starbucke does it's job and provides me with tasty beverages.

    (3)
  • Stan S.

Another typical Starbucks location.. Nice staff, although can get pretty crowded. However there is a good amount of seating.

    (3)
  • So K.

Like it cozy n all easy to pik up rite before u take bus u will be able to c if bus is coming or not cuz its rite across from the bus stop so you wont miss the bus it does get pretry crowded at nite n weekend.... no seats or tables when it is busy hrs so it is better to just pik up ur coffee to go.... sefving time is pretty fast

    (5)
  • Jessica C.

This location is convenient because it's located in the neighborhood shopping center, but it isn't the best Starbucks I have ever been to. The seating is limited and the drink quality and service can vary. It really depends on who you get as a barista. If you can, you should avoid ordering skim/skinny drinks here because as far as my experience goes, they have all tasted nasty. There is a silver lining though- you can have your drink remade if it tastes bad, and because the service is spotty, that may be the case sometimes.

    (3)
  • Fabian C.

Place was a little on the tight side. The shopping center connected has a huge lot and there is tons of public transportation around. My drink was prepared quickly and accurately. No complaints about that! Just like the others said, there a lot of shopping around here so its a good stuff to fuel up or refuel before heading home.

    (3)
  • Marques E.

Just stopped in to my favorite Starbucks and they put me on to some other drinks not on the menu. Always a cool set of baristas.

    (5)
  • Roxana I.

Always really busy, but the fairly new staff is the best. They have really started doing things right. Seats in the back have outlets to charge your devices. Free parking as well.

    (4)
  • Farwah H.

Well I order coffee, caramel latte and multigran bagel with cream cheese and butter and guess what I only got caramel latte with the espresso in it. It was only steam milk and caramel syrup. This place sucks...

    (1)
  • Chelsea D.

This is a little bit worse than your average Starbucks. The service here is very slow. Whenever I come in the mornings, there's one girl making drinks, and she's not very quick about it. Sometimes she even gets my drink order wrong, and I have to wait even longer. Luckily the place is always clean, and it doesn't seem like they run out of pastries, so that's good I guess.

    (2)
  • Anthony K.

I am simply addicted to Starbucks and you can find me at this particular Starbucks every single day. There is always plenty of parking and the staff is extremely friendly and energetic. It can sometimes get crowded in there simply because of all the customers from all the surrounding stores stopping in for a cup of coffee but the staff manages to keep control and keep the line moving quickly. I have been coming to this Starbucks for about a year now and do not plan on going to any other one.

    (4)
  • Ms M.

The drinks at starbucks are pretty much the same at every chain but i like this location because the service is quick, place is clean and staff are friendly! This place can get busy too.

    (4)
  • Vincent S.

Very busy on weekends since its got an above average lounge area for customers to sit and chat or play chess or study

    (4)
  • Valerie V.

Well they allow i think homeless ppl to chill in there for hours, i mean i dk it's nice of them and all but they hog like an entire wall of seats!

    (2)
  • Kristina H.

Starbucks is Starbucks. This one makes the drinks to my liking - not too watery or icy, not to strong. Just right. It's a small inside, so during the busy time the line get a little crazy. There's normally just one person making drinks at a time. Pretty clean. Free parking available within the Shopping Center.

    (4)
  • John P.

I get coffee there everyday clean place good location some of the employes should smile more often and service is starting to suck down to 3 stars

    (3)
  • Montgomery H.

    TThis place is very cold

    (4)
  • R R.

I frequent this store & sadly I'm giving it a 1 star. Unfortunately, it is because of 1 particular barrister who in my eyes is very selective with how he treats Starbucks' customers. I'm teetering to say 'he is prejudice.' Can you imagine the following - he started your drink, left it and went to clean the sink, etc., and then went on to make complementary drinks for non-paying customer while you wait for your drink? I'm posting this simply because there is always an issue with this same barrister - he is the primary reason I try not to order specialty drinks when he is the barrister.

    (1)
  • K H.

Most consistent Starbucks in Queens. In the morning the wait can be a little long. But their coffee is never burnt or too watery. Employees are usually really nice. The bathroom does creep me out though, too many straggler- non customers coming in to use it.

    (4)
  • Alan G.

Better than average Starbucks. Good Baristas and consistent Coffee. The real problem here is the people that sit for hours on end and drink only 1 cup of coffee, if that. Mostly the senior folks taking up space yapping on and on, not to mention the hoarder guy.

    (4)
  • Tim W.

It's Starbucks, it's almost always packed and a bit slow serving the drinks. They seem to be understaffed or their staff don't seem to care much, well not all of them don't care but I have noticed one or two that don't seem to be very friendly. Just don't expect to be in and out within 5 minutes because that's just not going to happen here...

    (3)
  • Madina W.

Are you a tween? Well, this is the place for you! Are you not? Well, too bad! This Starbucks is always packed from glass wall to glass wall with high-schoolers; granted: they're not tweenagers, they're teenagers. Still, this locale is usually crowded (to the point of suffocation) and loud (like your old elementary school cafeteria). Good customer service is irregular here. Really, depends on the people behind the counter, some of who are dandy and others of those who are conniving. Yes, you read right, conniving. Now read on. I bought a medium (tallo, vento, grando... whatever, refuse to speak Starbucks lingo) passion-fruit lemonade iced tea, kindly smiled at cashier and handed her a Hamilton (that's a 10). Cashier kindly smiled and skillfully sneaked a half torn Lincoln (that's a 5) under the Washington's (one dollar bills). The 5 dollar bill was completely torn in half! I didn't realize it until the next morning and I scurried back to the tweeny-teeny haven, explained the ordeal and they gave me a crisp Lincoln. By all means, stop by here for a drink, just don't expect to get seats here; expect to get a headache and make sure they give you whole bills!

    (2)
  • John K.

This Starbucks anchors the local shopping scene. Definitely increases the foot traffic and can only be a positive for the local economy. However, the service is terrible. One instance; it took 15 minutes, yes, FIFTEEN minutes to get a tall coffee. Not a bullshit triple frap white mochamachiato ralph macchio with skim soy milk and extra whip fudge 1000+ calorie monster beverage, but a damn cup of coffee. You know, ACTUAL coffee? Pour, snap on lid, finito? Wanted to throw a tantrum of venti proportions. There's a high school nearby so don't be surprised if this place is filled with a buncha teens, five of them sharing one beverage. The elderly population is also pretty high, so don't be alarmed if there are no more sugar packets; the old lady in the corner has all of 'em. It'll take some charm but you'll get it outta her. The place expanded recently, but is that a good thing?

    (2)
  • Linda P.

Last time I got coffee here I asked for cappuccino venti and the lady made it perfectly. Coffee container was filled-up. I just went there this morning with my sister and father. Upon grabbing my cup, it was very light. There was only half cup of cappuccino and other half foam. WTF? If I knew they couldn't make it right, I would not want to pay for a venti. Extremely annoyed. That would be why I don't usually go to a Starbucks. I usually go to Pret during the week. (I'll post a picture of what my venti cup looks like before I even took a sip.)

    nice location,plenty of parking.

Always find seating there. And lots of outlets for laptops. I can sit there for hours. Could clean up more often though

  • paulo brian g.

its a nice starbucks, a little crowded at times but still good service

    (4)
  • Minhan S.

Closest coffee shop in my neighborhood. When I hang out with my friends or when I need to study something, I go to this Starbucks. What I need here? A table and a cup of coffee + wi-fi. With coffee I can stay as long as I can. + if you have Starbucks reward card, you get free wi-fi access. (you need to purchase at least 2 times a month with the card.) If lucky, you may sit on a couch! (lol it is damn comfortable!) and nice music.(sometimes it is too loud though.) Also this Starbucks is right next to Kohls, so you can park in a huge parking lot. And Boston Market is at the next door!! :P One of my favorite local shops. :D

Great place to sit and have coffee. At time's,it can be a bit much to find a place to sit.
