Super cute lunch place, the food is great too. The service was very fast - we got two of the salads and a pasta dish. The portion were a perfect size, not too much. I definitely recommend this place!

A unique spot with great ambiance and outdoor seating so you can bring your dog. I even saw a dog at the bar. I was not impressed by the elderflower sangria (white wine) as it had a very bitter taste. The breaded mozzarella was delicious and had great flavor and texture. Service was decent with attentive servers. Candlelight creates a great evening ambiance.

We had a disappointing night here. After making a reservation we were sat at a pretty bad table, kind of out of sight in the corner. Maybe that's why we were ignored by the server for around 30 minutes before anyone took our order? In any case, the meal was pricey and the food was solidly average. We had a pretty decent burratta appetizer, which I'd definitely recommend, but my Caesar salad tasted like it came from a boxed kit they bought at Safeway--two weeks ago. It's a lovely area of Tribeca, set back on cobble-stone streets with a great front porch seating area, so I might return for a drink outdoors, but skip it for a meal--you can do better.

5 stars all the way, so many great dishes here, from the charcuterie options to some wonderful grilled seafood dishes. This place is amazing! They have some fantastic cocktails, some really creative stuff.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place in the city to eat and randomly found this place. I'm only giving them 2 stars because the food was alright, but my boyfriend really liked it. We like to sit at the bar to eat because we like to quickly get drinks. He wasn't thrilled with any of his drinks and he's pretty easy to please. Even though I didn't see it with the other liquor bottles, I ordered my favorite, a Jack and Coke... prettttty sure it's a common drink. The bartender gave me a look when I asked for it and after about 10 minutes later she came back from the side with a small drink. It was bitter and NOT Jack Daniels. I don't even know what kind of cheap crap they put in the bottle. I wanted to order something else because it was so disgusting but I ended up having to just drink the water because the bartender was to the side outside the bar having a conversation with her friends for the duration of our meal. I wouldn't recommend drinking here, it's a waste of money. It's a cute place and area but we could of found better food and actually had drinks with our meals.

I came here for Easter brunch and didn't want to stop eating. Every morsel of food I put in my mouth was mouthwateringly delicious. I've also come here for cocktails in the past and it's just a great place with a nice vibe overall. I've also been here for private parties and it's really a community bar where people who come here have gotten to know each other. I like this place.

This is the first time I've been here and I'm hard to impress... I have to say, this place is incredible! The food is amazing. The waiters are extremely knowledgeable about the food so it's not like they just work there for a paycheck. The food... The FOOD! Every bite is savory. I'm a fast eater but for the first time in a long time I slowed down and made sure that I remembered every bite. It's romantic if you go at night so it's a great date spot and it's a block away from the water. The wine selection is great too! Dessert was magnificent. I have no complaints. Zero! Come here and eat! You won't regret it

Sure, it's cute and it's in a great neighborhood. But let me propose a thought: if you spend all Sunday catching up with a friend over drinks and apps, and we are talking 10-15 drinks, all smallish V&Ts, dontcha think the bartender could drop ONE BUY BACK? Just one, "this one's on me"? Nope. Dont expect it here. Decent, unspecial place that hasn't heard of a buy back on $10 well drinks.

Had a great brunch here over the weekend - excellent food, drinks and service. It is just a little off the beaten path, so it was not too packed, but comfortably busy. One would have to bring their own hot sauce as they only have Tabasco, but oh well, that is true of so many good places. The drinks menu is creative, but not so much one can't decide what to order (we've all been to those places). All of our dishes were excellent. Long story short, I'm putting this spot in to my regular brunch rotation.

Service was slow and the food was average. I expected a lot more for some reason. We were a party of 5 and came on a Friday night. Place wasn't too packed. We ordered some appetizers (empanadas, calamari and grilled mozarella). None of it was anything out of this world and quite average to be honest. The food also took forever to come out. Our food was incredibly boring. There wasn't a lot of taste and the plating was incredibly dull! I feel like a lot more could be done to this place.

Bad Service and OK food. Came with a friend for lunch and the host woman was extremely rude. Don't think I'll be returning.

We celebrated a birthday with a party of 9 for dinner and it was absolutely perfect! The best thing about the restaurant is by far the staff-- every single person we dealt with was absolutely amazing-- but the unbelievable food is a close second! I was blown away by my steak, and everyone else loved our appetizers and entrees too. The restaurant has beautiful outdoor seating, and the decor inside is understated but beautiful. We will definitely be back as a smaller group to enjoy the authentic Argentine fare again!

This place is spectacular! !! I passed by one day and saw the outside: cute little tables with tulip vases around the deck and thought to my self. I gotta come here sometime. One day my hubby left work and we were supposed to meet up with a friend and I suggest this place! What a great call: gorgeous ambience. Very friendly and well prepared staff. Amazing food and wine selection, plus beautiful tasty cocktails! It's a MUST to visit in Tribeca. It looks like and Argentinian gramma's house! Very family oriented.

I placed an order for delivery, and they delivered the wrong date. I had to call to fix it, and they told me they couldn't re-do the order (5 lunches) because it was "too large" and they couldn't afford to re-make it since it was already sent. Even though the incorrect delivery was NOT my fault, the told me I should have called to confirm after placing the order (which is not part of the process, and completely unnecessary), and that I was an "idiot" for thinking they should provide proper customer service. Stacy, the manager is a raging diva, who literally wouldn't even let me get a word in on the phone, was rude, insulting, and has no idea how to treat a client. I'm embarrassed for her. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!!!

I am moved by the desire for little exodus... Some kind of escape I'm learning. Its the Jewish instinct in me. From almost any 9 to 6 that I've ever participated in. I walk until feel better. I think even if i worked with Aktionists i would escape to a bank or lunch counter. So I walk away from decency from lunch places delivery bikes and dog walkers. Pumping Beck's Loser until I get somewhere where I know an Agnes Martin protege is throwing around white paint somewhere and listening to Mary Timony. Tribeca like all places hurts. Dark brick factory style buildings, the copious black curb of Mr. Chow where wealthy men desperately try to impress whatever and if I take up the space they don't say anything . I enter one of the overpriced bistros. where willowy women choose the darkest Crocodile Dundee style hats and complain to whoever is sitting across from their lululemon bag. Exposed brick is painted white for that Swedish country kitchen look or unclassifiable new American farm to table. The hostess is attenuated with ripped boyfriend jeans and an exotic sharp jaw of a dark haired Russian steppe Kate Moss (or Hilary Rhoda? Amanda Moore?). Or something. I bet she and her metabolism are from the Midwest. The Crocodile Dundee ombre hair gal is in place talking to a middle aged French bulldog owner. It's late so with a kiss kiss the regulars are greeted at the bar. Some loose chinned sniveler stands to take home the Jolie laide that is my waitress. I ache for her until she convinces me to spend all my money. Eh I'm sure she and her heart in her brave peasant crop top do OK and don't get the tenderizing treatment of such douchey hangers on. I start with the fig and prosciutto because I eat only figs by themselves and wonder if I'm missing out. They think dried fig newton filling with cooked ham on a fancy toast oblong is an aperitivo. The toast as Donald Judd may say not good but challenging.. . to chew The 20 dollars of steak salad is leaves of uncut arugula with a pickled salsa at first. The tang of the salsa and pickled onions add some interest to the stuffing of leaves that makes up most of the dish and a I first think a droopy sliver of poached pear is a particularly fatty pork belly that tastes of pear. (Weird vegan hack, anyone?) The small rectangular sliced steak is tender and fatty under a parsley oil cover but lacks complexity flavor and I realize I should have mixed it into the tangy salad late. Peering around at my marooned white table away from the bar people with their more believable leather jackets, I end the isolation with ice cream. It is the copa Argentina stuffed in an ice cream cup with dulce de leche on the bottom. It is comforting like a diner sundae but more fancy and Argentine. Every win and every mediocrity sums up into passable food and emotional irritation. And I walk in the middle of the road and will listen to the Mountain Goats and think 'Do I deserve this poetry?' I do.

Hidden gem in tribeca. Their cold sandwiches are good and bisteca falls into one of my favorite. Also in love with their sangria

Went here on 10/8/14, sorry for the late post! I came here on a date and I had the steak sandwich and he had the rigatoni along with a bottle of Hacienda dl plata. They were both very tasty! The candlelit tables and the dim lighting also made the experience cozy and intimate. The only downside was that service was slow. There weren't many other diners and it was a quiet Wednesday evening, so I don't understand the delay in the kitchen. Nonetheless, I will most certainly come back.

In the interest of full disclosure, I will tell you that we were here for a private event. No menu, pre-ordered hand passed apps and then salad and a pasta dish at a help yourself buffet. Some of the apps were OK, some were awesome (grilled shrimp, chicken chunks). The bar (and yes, I'm from the burbs) had some great spirits and they made me a great Manhattan. You don't find that in many places is Westchester. The staff was all friendly including when my wife got a "corked" glass of wine. I pity the person before us that ordered Pinot Noir and drank that awful stuff. When will people learn! I'd love to see what the regular menu looks (and tastes) like.

Wow, delicious! My boyfriend is gluten free, so from time to time we indulge in gluten free pizza. I must say, the gluten free pizza at Estancia is the best I've ever had, truly. My only complaint is I ate too much! So good.

Lovely little gem in Tribeca. Attentive and wonderfully personable staff. I recommend coming late in the afternoon and grabbing wine on the front outdoor space. Perfect to come chat with a friend and have a light meal as well.

I came here for a work lunch and it was perfection. A simple, but yummy menu and bright atmosphere. We had made a reservation, only upon arrival it was pretty much empty - so not necessary. Everyone inside was super nice and attentive. Everyone's sandwiches were served on some seriously tasty bread... but mine was by far the best. I ordered the soucera and let me tell you, I chose well. Sopresatta and blue cheese with red peppers on a ciabatta roll. I made the mistake of going halvsies, so while I was only able to enjoy half of it, I was also able to try another: Only, I couldn't tell you about it because it wasn't memorable. Moral of this story: If you find yourself in Tribeca, stop in for the soucera sandwich.

Solid neighborhood place. Great service, steaks flavorful, pizza was outstanding and calamari and sweetbreads done perfectly. Definitely a great place to enjoy a casual and comfortable dinner

Friendly and speedy. Had the prosciutto and figs to start. Figs were sweet and prosciutto was not overly salty. Skirt steak was cooked to order. Tender juicy and served over generous portion of greens. Tribeca's finer culinary experiences!

Don't bother making a reservation here, especially not on a busy weekend like the opening of the Tribeca Film Festival - the restaurant might cancel your reservation on less than a week's notice anyway like they did to me. Management didn't even offer to reschedule or attempt to encourage me to come back another time with a gift certificate or promise of free drinks/apps. Good luck to me finding another dinner reservation on opening weekend of the film festival - looks like me and my date will be eating pizza. Bottom line: If you want to be sure your plans are reliable, make a reservation somewhere else.

I never write reviews but the hostess here was just too rude. We were here watching the world cup and nearly everyone was in the front bar area. When the hostess turned the TV towards the back everyone protested. She was then told to turn it back to its original position. She proceeded to call everyone an asshole loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear including the 3-4 children present. One of the patrons went to speak to her privately and she brushed him off and proceeded to strut around the bar like she was some kind of hot shit. I really wanted to tell her she was a bit of a butterface but luckily the drinks weren't strong enough to get me drunk enough.

I stopped in for a cocktail after a meeting around 6 pm. I met the owner and she and the staff bartender and regular customers were very nice to me. Tasty cocktail and later, an outstanding steak - as if I was in Argentina. They served me a lovely hard cider, from the north of France. I liked this neighborhood spot in TriBeCa.

Soooooo boooooring place... It has an amazing atmosphere, design...but the staff, menu,drinks-blah.... I had much more expectations for this place. And I believe that if you consider to be open for a brunch on a weekday, you HAVE TO have at least 3-4 different kinds of eggs on menu..not a plain omelette with few dull additions..c'mon guys! Their food made me think that I had better stayed home and cooked my favorite morning treats.

A quaint Argentinian brunch spot in Tribeca on a quiet, cobblestone street. The interior is very simple, yet classic with cream walls, high ceilings, old wood floors and an amazing wall display of various wines. I met a friend here for brunch and it was delicious. We were seated on a pretty patio with about 5 tables (quaint, so tables were very close to each other) and were able to people-watch on the quiet, cobblestone streets of Tribeca. Our waitress was very friendly, yet not bothersome at all. Highly recommend their house white white sangria, delicious! I ordered the frittatta of the day (sausage, asparagus and tomato) which came with a large size salad. The frittatta was huge-thin, but took up an entire plate, all for $14. It was great! Great, quiet and unassuming spot for brunch. Not crazy long lines like some of the "famous" NYC brunch spots, but nonetheless, the food and service and ambiance was excellent.

Healthy, clean, and simple food. I ordered the "Deshuesado" - the chicken was perfectly marinated and cooked. Incredibly common ingredients yet the chef certainly elevated the dish with the use of good olive oil and dressing. Just amazing. The salad was also very good/ well dressed. The waiter will offer you bread and I loved the fact that you could answer "yes" or "no" so the bread wouldn't be wasted as it is in many other restaurants. Overall, a great dining experience in Tribeca. Unassuming, no flash - the food speaks for itself.

Really nice place in northern Tribeca. Came here with family on Easter Sunday. Had a fantastic brunch. Service and food were great. Very friendly staff. Kid friendly too! Had cava, frittatas, huevos del mar, gelato, etc. All wonderful.

Wonderful little place in TriBeCa! Had dinner there last night (on a Saturday) and was very impressed. Started with Burrata and some jamon both of which were fantastic and followed up splitting paella with a friend. Everything was just right including a very reasonably priced wine list to pair. We had the 2007 Hacienda Del Plata Mayoral, a Grand Reserve Malbec that opened up like a charm. The wait staff were wonderful for allowing us to try a few other wines to match the paella and we wound up just going with separate one-glass servings for round 2. A nice finish with some Hennessy rounded things off. As a special bonus a group of very well-dressed upwardly mobile 7-11 year old kids were very cute sitting next to us with their parents behaving like little angels with perfect table manners! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a great casual meal. Thumbs up!

Comfortable atmosphere and very friendly hostess and/or owner/manager, but we'll get to her later. Only been here a handful of times as it's a bit out of the way for me, but the food has always been delicious. I've tried the pizza, sandwiches, soups and salads - nothing but pleasant experiences with all of them. There is a reason this place fills up at lunch time. The servers are attentive, absolutely no issues there. Water is constantly getting filled up, and the plates clear when they need to. No problem with any orders either. The prices are about average for the area, they could work on coming up with some lunch special pricing. I generally don't give 5 stars to places I don't frequent very often, but here is why I need to make the exception here. I made my reservation through opentable. It's my job to let the hostess know that I had a reservation and that it was with opentable, so I can get the proper points. Somehow I forgot to do all this. At the tail end of our meal the hostess person comes over and asks if my name is John. I say yes and she goes on to tell me that she accidentally put me down as a no-show to opentable. She then goes on to apologize, takes down my full name, contacts opentable and corrects the issue. Maybe I'm making a big deal over nothing here, but I thought that was a really cool thing to do. Even though it would have been completely my fault for not notifying them that I had a reservation through opentable, she took it upon herself to correct my issue. It's cool when people care, not enough of that going around.

The food at dinner was good (our table liked the mussels and calamari appetizers, people liked their pizzas), but service was a little spacey -- it took far too long and 3 too many requests to get a couple of additional wineglasses. And I suffered from order regret -- I got one of the specials, which was a misguided mixed seafood platter that was just way too massive for one person -- with a price to match.

This place is hard to find. Directly to the left of Turks & Frogs, it has limited seating outside. On a very quiet street, at least on Sunday evenings, this place is perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff of very friendly ladies were not too fast and not too slow. Laid back, always smiling, and attentive. We ordered the salad, calamari, and mushroom pizza. All three were nicely done. We went in with no expectations except for some good food, great ambience, and friendly staff and that is what we got. We will most certainly go back.

I wish I could give more stars but you guys are far way to get t least 3*. I ordered the Huevo hombre, and honestly I don't think is so hard to make two eggs, but mine was just blah, has a funny taste and it wasn't look so fresh. Service 3*

Wonderful little place on a quiet cobblestone street in TriBeCa. I can't decide which was better, the food or service because both were simply excellent. We had three very yummy small plates and split the skirt steak entree. A really pleasant experience and this place should be bookmarked in your yelp account as a "must try".

I work at Citi down the street and I wanted to treat a co-worker to lunch. She wanted a sandwich so we gave this place a shot. For two sandwiches, the total came to over 30 dollars which is crazy. For this price, i thought for sure they would have homemade potato chips. To our disapointment, the chips were standard. Also, our sandwiches were so hard they hurt to eat. We ended up eating only the bottom half.

Nice place. Good menu with lots of options and very good wine selection. To start, the bread was warm and delicious. I had the paella. It was very good, although it didn't look like the authentic paella, more like a delicious rice with meats on top (seafood, chicken, sausage), but very generous. My husband had a steak and he said it was good. The service was slow some times, but in all we had a nice experience there.

I am reluctantly giving this place three stars, had we been sitting inside instead of out front the experience would not have been as nice. The weather was perfect, the street extremely quiet, and the mood was great, which lead to a nice evening. The servers were really nice and attentive as well. The food was remarkably average, not terrible, but not good enough for me to recommend to go out of your way, especially if the outside seating is closed. Side note; not necessarily the restaurants fault; we were seated next to two women and their respective children who went out for a early dinner (we were seated around 8:30). As we sat they were ordering dessert, and while the kids were on the wrong side of obnoxious, I figured that they'd be 10-12 minutes top - especially since the serving staff was getting visibly frustrated with the loud kids. FF 90 minutes later, they were still there, being loud, annoying anybody within 15 yard - including the patrons at Turks & Frogs next door. As I said, I know this does not necessarily have much to do with the restaurant, especially when giving a fair rating, but any chance to rail against parents who are about as obnoxious as their children, I'll take it.

Being big on service I was 100% satisfied with the waitstaff's kindness and the owner's hospitality. We ordered the beef empanadas and highly recommend them. They are 3 large ones for $12. Then we got the Parillada for 2 which is chicken, sausage, short ribs and strip steak, roasted sweet potatoes and tomato onion salad for $52. Generous portions of meat - we couldn't finish it all. Quality of food was excellent. For dessert I had the vanilla ice cream with raspberry syrup - also large serving - and it was divine. And when they made a mistake (on our order or bill) they actually fessed up to it and apologized. Some restaurants I found do not do that nowadays.

I grew up in New York, and I've lived here for a lot of my would-be adult life. This means that Manhattan feels pretty familiar to me, even if once in a very long while I end up on some tiny street and think, hmm, I have never been here. Estancia 460, as it turns out, is on one of those streets. Almost four years ago, I had a brief and unpleasant friendship with someone who turned out to be moderately insane. The details of this are not nearly salacious enough to be pertinent, plus you never know who's reading your reviews. But in any case, we went one Friday night to Estancia, which maybe at the time was called Sosa Borella; I have no idea. All I know is that I'd been hoping for a quick dinner at a standby, cheap restaurant in a convenient neighborhood, rather than a long fancy dinner in just about as close as you can get to the middle of nowhere in Manhattan. I was a student at the time, i.e. broke, which I had made clear, but still we ended up here. Oh I am telling the sordid story, which I don't want to do. All I want is to say that despite my near-misery about the whole situation, I had one of my favorite meals ever at this place. Remember, it was about four years ago, so I don't really recall what I had, except for a delicious beet salad. I know that my companion, once he was already drunk, ordered port after dinner, which was so unacceptable that it entered the realm of "well at least I can tell the story later." Port? We were 23. Who orders port at 23? Okay. We'll move on. The point is, I loved this place. The food was just fantastic, and I remembered the decor as very pleasant (all white wood and very calm and not too dimly lit--I'm not a huge fan of candledark). But I didn't know the name of the restaurant, nor did I know exactly where we'd been even though I knew it was Tribeca somewhere, and of course after the unfortunate interaction exploded away, I couldn't very well call up my no-longer-new-friend/enemy to ask what that delightful restaurant was, yeah I mean the one where we had a fight even though we barely knew each other. Yup, the one where you knocked the near-empty botle of port (oh I didn't mention that he ordered a whole bottle of it?) onto the floor in some aggressive gesticulation. Maybe I built it up in my head b/c I couldn't ever go there, but basically I have been looking for this restaurant for years. I would talk about it sometimes, oh, this Argentine restaurant where I had one of the best meals ever, oh, remember that crazy guy I had to have dinner with that time? Fast forward to about a month ago, when I was walking through Tribeca one very pleasant Saturday afternoon on my way to buy a bike with a friend. There we were, walking innocently up Greenwich St., when I happened to glance into a restaurant and realize that this was the place! The white, the clean checked floors, there it was! I picked up a business card and returned a few nights later. The restaurant is still awesome. The waiter was just about the nicest guy ever--he spilled a small bit of -water- on my sleeve or something, and as compensation gave us free dessert; if such a principle of palliative measures were extrapolated to all wrongdoings in the world, imagine how rich florists would be--and we got a nice table by the window, and the entire experience was completely fulfilling. I kept expecting to be disappointed after the four-year buildup, to the point where I even said at the end, well, I guess it's not as great as I remembered it. But that was a lie! It was as great. I had a calamari salad to start--I've been really into non-deep-fried calamari lately. This was kind of grilled, and there was lots of it, with lots of lettuce and a good lemony dressing. My dinner companion ordered the special butternut squash soup, which I thought was a questionable decision since that dish can't really be amazing; whether you buy the pourable box kind at the grocery store or order it at Le Cirque, the taste is not going to differ that widely. For entrees we had hamburger and steak. Both were very delicious, but my hamburger was out of this world. I like hamburgers to be barely cooked, which is hard to get in the States, and usually involves my pesky interrogations of "can you cook it so it's raw inside?" "really, like you can do it super super rare?" which, even if they're answered in the affirmative, usually ends up with my receiving a "rare" burger. But this burger was perfectly (un)cooked, and had mozzerella cheese and caramelized onions on it, all in some brioche-ish fancy bun. I have probably not gone more than two or three days since without thinking about it, which is partly b/c it suddenly seems that I have lots of vegetarian friends, and I've been doing a bunch of yoga lately, so often I wonder, shouldn't I stop eating meat? and then I think, oh, but that burger.

It's almost been a year since I ate here, but I can still remember how great the assorted grilled pizza was! It is really a departure from the normal pizzas we have in NY and not to mention that the toppings were fresh too.

I went here for breakfast on Sunday morning. The place was supercute and the staff was very nice. The food was fresh, cooked well and very tasty. They have an outdoor seating area in the front which is nice as well on a sunny day. I highly recommend this place.

We really loved Estancia Friday night, and thought we would write a review because we found it using Yelp! The took a reservation for 8pm with just a few hours notice. Walking in, we had very few expectations, but this quiet and clean space was very inviting. We noticed the big container of sangria right away, and found our pitcher of it to be just right. Despite an obnoxious table with two families making a tremendous amount of noise, the dining room had an enjoyable ambiance. We had the empanada appetizers, a terrific Latina Chicken pizza, and an Italian pizza with sausage. Everything was hot, delicious and well-prepared. In the end, we decided to splurge on the dessert assortment and the chocolate cake in there was very very good.

Want a meat-fest? Come here. I'm not much of a "sampler platter" dude but having not eaten much Argentinean fare, this was the safest bet. It's a huge portion of several different types of meats with a killer chimichurri. It's a small place, as what most Tribeca places seemed to be. Casual to dressy (we went in jeans and were comfortable). The servers looked like they were on break from Abercrombie and Fitch and were very pleasant and knowledgeable. This isn't a place for a light meal. Portion size seems to be more important that taste. If you are starving, go here and you'll be satisfied. If you are "meh" hungry, keep walking.

3.5 stars. Tribeca is quite out of my routine of destination. After getting off the subway, there's still a walking distance to Greenwich Street, but with the nicer and friendlier weather today, it was a delight to stroll through the pebbled roads rather than cement ground. Besides price and value, atmosphere is of utmost importance for a brunch experience. Estanica surly provided that today. The ambiance was homey with its vintage Coca Cola bottles lined on the wall shelves and a decorative door as if to lure one to enter into another dimension (perhaps after several glasses of sangria). I love space, so the high ceiling proffers that spacious feeling that make me feel relaxed and opened. We started off with a glass of sangria and woh, don't ever underestimate a fruity drink because it was potent. My mom's face lit up like the stop light. She wanted to try this restaurant's specialty, but not too much meat, so the grilled steak with chimichurri salad was the perfect choice. A bit of meat, a bit of salad for balance. The steak was cooked to medium and it was still pink inside. The sauce was refreshing and flavorful and the greens were fresh and lightly dressed in balsamic vinegar. When we saw the passersby fries, I knew my mom wanted to try some, so we ordered a side ($5). Thinly cut, but a bit heavily salted, it was a substantial, shareable portion. Seeing a signage that advertised their new and improved coffee, I caved into my caffeine demon and got a decaf. The owner (perhaps it was Stacey?) made a fresh cup of joe for me and woh, it was good! I think it's the European brand. It was so good, I sip it all before my mom got any. The patrons were mostly family, couples, and friends, so it's a very friendly and local location. The prices do add up (no brunch prix-fixe) with drinks and all and it is a bit on the outskirt, but when you account for the ambiance, the friendly host, and the great coffee, I think it beats having to fight for a table in the East Village. Besides, we took a nice walk to Broome Street for some Italian gelato. A good excuse to walk off some calories and then add some more in.

I'm not sure what 460 signifies. It should be called Estancia 180. Walking in, I thought I was going to have delicious Argentinian and Italian dishes. This is a 180 of what we expected, delicious food. I don't where to start when it comes to fusion food, but not everything is better together, or even edible. Estancia is a quaint, cozy, and exceptionally romantic nook in Tribeca that turned out to be extremely disappointing. Fusion restaurants tend to overhype flavors from their respective cuisines and merge them together, only Estancia did not incorporate Italian and Argentine fare in any recognizable way . We started off with a lovely grilled polenta, which happen to be the best part of the entire meal. The thick cut polenta was fried to perfection, leaving the inside warm and firm enough just to bite. It was accompanied with grilled peppers and squash that was dabbled with pesto and goat cheese. By the way, it was the starter. I ordered the BISTECCA, an over cooked, mozzarella strip steak sandwich with fries. The sandwich was overflowing with meat that was too tough to eat and lacking in flavor. Neither the cheese nor the pesto sauce could save it. T's dish, the SPAGHETTI was nothing but al dente pasta (it probably was not meant to be al dente) with broccoli, sausage, and olive oil. Not only was the dish boring, it was completely lacking in flavors both from the Italian and Argentine cuisine. Unless you're in fine company or just here for drinks, I would not recommend having dinner here. People can say that ambience overrides the price and value, which is true only if the food is tasty. Oh yeah the waiter was nice but still does not help with the taste of the dishes because they should be nice anyway. Sigh...

I was here last night and I absolutely LOVED the atmosphere. This is what I would view as a quintessential New Yorky locals place. We walked in around 7:30 on a Wednesday evening and decided to sit in the back to have some privacy. The tables outside were full and there were people at the bar and at the tables in front but we had almost the entire back area to ourselves. The service was great as they weren't too pushy. We were gabbing away and didn't even look at the menu for the first 20 minutes so the girl would just check in on us every once in a while. For drinks I decided to try one of the specialty cocktails. I don't remember the name but it had tequila and pink grapefruit juice in it. I told them to hold the agave syrup as I can't stand sweet drinks and my only complaint was that they served it in those damn small glasses that are all the rage now. My date had a glass of perfectly fine Malbec. We didn't try any starters but for entrees I had the Mahi-Mahi special which was served over wild rice with a lime sauce. The fish was cooked just right and the portion sizable. My date had the DESHUESADO which is a chicken breast marinated in chimichurri and served with fresh greens. The chimichurri sauce was great, not overly garlicky like it tends to be at a lot of spot, and the chicken was moist and tender, another very sizable portion. We had a very nice leisurely dinner. This is a great spot to have a relaxing peaceful Sunday evening meal with your sweetie; it's not a foodie destination and although the food is very good, it's secondary. The vibe is what you go for.

Decent bloody mary at brunch, but everything else was just kind of blah. Don't really know how they qualify as an Argentinian restaurant, either.

Simple food, well prepared and presented, with cheerful efficient service. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere is soothing and casual. Fairly inexpensive by New York standards - brunch with coffee and orange juice was about $24, including tip. I had hoped to try the french toast with dulche de leche which I read about in the NY Times... unfortunately it was sold out by 11 AM.

Stumbled upon Estancia while I was waiting to play tennis and decided to order some food. Great prices/portions! Went with the steak which had the most delicious sauce on it. It was a huge streak too, no 8 ozers here. Also had the spaghetti bolognese which was very good. At $12/$14 you get this HUGE helping of pasta. The mgr/owner threw in a free order o the crepes (since there had been a mix-up with my order) and it was a bite of heaven on earth. A creamy dulce de leche like filling in thin crepes. Soooo dreamy. Decor was cute and rustic and the owner/mgr seemed to know everyone on a first name basis. Will definitely be back.

Best pizza and incredibly friendly staff. When I call for delivery they always remember my name and my order- one mushroom and one plane pizza. They are also always timely. The bistecca sandwich is also incredible.

Summary: Good for groups or a date, excellent chimichurri, meat cuts are too fatty, very slow service I went here with a group after work. We had appetizers, a few bottles of wine, and entrees. The appetizers were fantastic, and what we thought would be a sign of things to come. Unfortunately, it took a LONG time to come, and while the meats were seasoned well, they were VERY fatty. Obviously, a meat cut needs a certain amount of fat to cook well and to add to the flavor. But these cuts went well above that. As for the slow service I keep mentioning... On this particular night, the patrons included our table and three tables for two. So the kitchen shouldn't have been overwhelmed. And even though everyone in our group ordered medium-rare, it took an hour for our order to be served. The only reason I can think of is that they slaughtered the cow out back! The portions are gigantic, but I think this may be due to the low quality of the meats. I'd rather see better meat in smaller portions.

    1. Food. Decent. Shared the Parillada for Two and a pasta dish among three people, and still could not finish the dishes. The Parillada is serious business: chicken, steak, short ribs, roasted potatoes, and a tomato/onion salad. Chicken was dry, but everything else was delicious! The potatoes...perfectly roasted. Pasta on the overly oily side. Come hungry! 2. Service. Nice. 3. Atmosphere. Dimly lit, simply decorated place. Was a bit out of the way from public transport, and on a Wed night, pretty quiet. Random smattering of ladies who do dinner, friends, and small families.

First off let me say that I am a huge fan of Argentinian food and I did not see the influence here. Nonetheless the food here was delicious yet very overpriced. The shrimp salad had amazing flavors but was a bit small for being nearly $20 and only having 5 shrimp on it. The veggie sandwich (zucchini, mushrooms, goat cheese, red peppers) was delicious yet small making an order of the tomato corn chowder a necessity. All of the food here was awesome but when I order two entrees, an appetizer and a couple of ice teas for nearly $70 and still leave hungry it's hard to feel really good about the experience no matter how good the food was. All I'm saying is that "value" is an important part of the experience and you are not going to get that here.

Estancia is the sort of place you go to and feel like a regular by your second time...because the staff and the owner are such gems... which is why I've become a regular even though I live all the way uptown. It's simply my favorite place to go for a late dinner or in the late afternoon, and just hang, dine and talk... whether with one other friend or a dozen other people... mostly because it's one of the far too rare places in Manhattan where you can have a great dinner and a great conversation. (In most restaurants in the city the owners jam as many tables as they can into their space and jack up the music to create "energy"... Stacey. the owner at Estancia, could easily cram another 20% more seating in the room, but that would kill the atmosphere.) Oh, yea, It's also a great place to take over for a party, which I've done.

The best part about Estancia is the romantic atmosphere - it's dimly lit, with candles and a very cozy ambiance. The one thing lacking, however, was the food. I had dinner last Friday, which is really not that long ago, but already I've nearly forgotten what I ate, what it looked like, and how it tasted. Is that a bad thing? Probably. After taking a look at the menu, I'm about 90% sure that I had the Deshuesado chicken breast marinated in chimichurri and served with fresh greens. It was certainly a solid dish - I mean, I felt pretty full afterwards - but other than that, unremarkable. I recall trying one of my friend's fries too, and it was ridiculously salty. Did someone in the kitchen spill the salt in the deep-fryer? Anyway, definitely come here for the atmosphere, but lower your expectations when it comes to the food.

Did I go to the same restaurant as you guys???? Ive just embarrassed myself in front of my coworkers by choosing this place to eat. You guys are giving this 5 stars??????? Waitress totally forgot about our soup/ appetizers and was hardly apologetic. The hanger sandwhich was stone cold, fries burnt. My spaghetti lacked flavor, the other rigatonii was greasy. What the heck.... $22 bucks for horrible food and service? Greenwich Grill's pre-fixe at least came with appetizer, main course, dessert and coffee for $18. Seriously?

The atmosphere is very nice and I love the rustic decor. I had the Verano salad which was good, though pretty basic for any restaurant. I'd go again but to try their dinner menu.

I'd go 3 1/2 if possible here... certainly nothing wrong with this place - decent food - but nothing too special. Used to go here often for lunch (when it used to be Sossa Borella) and went back for dinner recently. The place was empty on a Thursday night, maybe 20-30% full. Maybe it's some weird social dynamic, but I always like it when restaurants are a tad more full? Appetizer selection was nice and we shared with a group of 6 (almonds, calamari, olives, some cheese, etc.). I ordered the salmon, which was fresh and nice. Net, I think there are better options in the Tribeca market... but not a bad choice if other places are full.

Went here for dinner on a Sunday evening. Not busy but the waitstaff was friendly and not pushy. Had the steak with Chimichurri sauce. Good food and love the location. Will be back to try something more Italian from the menu. Update Went back in October 08 and was not as thrilled. Steak was not as tasty and restaurant was not busy. Not sure I will go back here again as there are many other options in the area

Estancia is practically the office lunch room. We're just a few blocks from there and every time I've gone for lunch I've seen a coworker, either already eating there, coming in after I started, whatever. It's not just popular because it's close - it's got a great, casual cafe atmosphere that can probably best be described as homey and charming, and moderately priced but still yummy food. Best place ever? Nah. I wouldn't go completely out of my way to eat there, but if you're in the neighborhood it's a great little place. The food consists primarily of salads, sandwiches and pastas, and is "Argentine inspired". It's not ground-breaking by any means, but it's always competently prepared, tasty, and the portions are decent. Lunches tend to average $10-15 per person, which certainly isn't cheap but is pretty reasonable for the neighborhood. It's usually pretty packed during the lunch hours, and the small tables don't really seat more than 4 or occasionally 6 people comfortably, so it's not a great place for large groups. They turn around pretty quickly so you can often get a table pretty quickly. The service is decent, not great, but the owner Stacey Sosa is often present and provides a warm presence and a more personal touch to the service, which helps. It's rarely great, but never bad. I like the place and go back often. Like I said, not worth taking a big detour for, but definitely worth the occasional visit when you're in the nabe.

I'm confused as to if this place is trying to be fancy or casual. Its a weird hybrid of the two. I loved the casual aspect--the cute decor and cozy interior. I didnt love the semi-pricey menu, but its what to expect in Tribeca I guess. The food was pretty good. I had Cesear salad and rigatoni--it was solid but nothing spectacular. Service was decent as well.

Good place for a work lunch. Good service, never too crowded and yummy food. I really enjoy the calamari salad, and my companions had the steak salad and it looked delicious. I love their dressings. The overall atmosphere is nice and I will definitely be putting this on my list as a good solid joint in Tribeca.

This is a common lunch place for me as i work in the area. The food is delicious and the service is quick and friendly. Sure it's a little pricey, but it's average for the area, the place itself is clean and has a comfy, warming decor. Good choices for picky eaters, those who want something a little more figure friendly and then those who eat to their tummy's content. Not a bad choice for lunch if you're in the area.

I had a great time at dinner here last night. The owner was there at this small restaurant, overseeing everything, spreading good cheer throughout and making everyone welcome. Service was very good. Friendly, family atmosphere but you can also have a nice romantic date here, it's that kind of comfortable. The food was very tasty (especially the sausage in the Parillada) and the portions were impressive. The wine selections were also good. The $40 malbec was a good value.

Formerly known as Sosa Borella, this bright and inviting cafe offers Argentine-inspired cuisine, tucked away in a corner of TriBeCa. The fresh decor, white walls and high ceilings make for an excellent dining environment. We had lunch here, where my current fig fascination was satisfied with the Pasas salad. Others were pleased with their food, which ranged from a vegetable fritatta, to brioche french toast with bananas and nutella, to a hamburger. Friends of ours live across the street, and told us of a time when this restaurant was still BYOB. They would come across the street with martinis in hand, and leave their glasses to be washed and retrieved upon their next visit, a story telling of the type of service one could regularly expect here.
