We order take-out from here pretty often and have been customers since they opened up. One of our favorite pizza places and I love their salads; always fresh and generous portions. We haven't had a sit-down dinner here yet so I can't attest to it but the staff has always been friendly and attentive.

    Good pizza.

Pizza used to be so good, but it's gone downhill. It's expensive and the pizza is so greasy. Also, the last time I had it there were HAIRS in it.

Lasagna was awesome. Penne a la old stone was also good. Pricing was reasonable although other items seemed a bit pricey. Probably more items on the menu than need to be.

Causal pizza spot in town with some pretty good lunch specials on the menu. Opted for a shrimp parm sandwich with some sweet potato fries...couldn't have been happier. The pizza on the other hand was a little weak. The dough was a little too soft, pick up a slice and it just flops over, I prefer to have some type of texture and stiffness to my slices!

Ordered 2 appetizers and couple wraps.....wraps came out first...and were ice cold....apps were good...but overall just alright, nothing to go out of your way for

I've only ever had their pizza, and rolls, but I always left overly satisfied. The penne vodka roll is ridiculous, and not to be left out. The pizza is thin and the flavor was excellent. Staff was very outgoing and attentive. The decor is very nice I love what they've done here. I can't seem to understand those negative reviews... I'll return again and again Yummy!

This place is terrible. The food is mediocre at best. $12 for six ravioli, are you serious? Management screwed up our delivery order then didn't even offer any discounts, coupons, or anything. Such a mistake we'll never make again.

Have been coming here since it first opened. At first, the food was great, and despite the higher than average prices, it was worth the visit. Quality however has come down since. My last pizza take out visit had me with a burned pie (first for me). Owner ignored my call to report what I assumed to be a mistake. Well, I guess they do not care about losing one customer .... Hope they take notice of the rest of the comments .... town needs a good pizza place and what a great opportunity to turn this place around

Rude pizza maker!!!! Must be the owner he wore a black shirt and cap. I will not return here again. Everyone else that works here has been friendly. Too bad. Be nice to your customers, you're food isn't that good. WOW

Pizza is very good. I would recommended dinning in. Fresh toppings and tasty dough. We have had issues with delivery and not always getting what we order. If we have the time to eat in we will.

The pizza here was very good!! But I can't say the same about our waiter. The waiter here seemed annoyed by our party of 6, didn't want to help us find a table outside, and when giving us things seemed to have an attitude. When I'm spending money, I want to be served nicely, and I can't say that for here. I suggest the food, but maybe do a take-out order instead of sitting here.

After sitting down and then reading some of the harsh reviews of this place, I was admittedly a little concerned. But none of the negatives came to pass during our family meal here this fourth of July. Instead, we had a great meal that we will never, ever forget. As much I'd like to say the memory was made thanks to the food we ate here, the truth is our experience was memorialized the moment Bill Clinton stopped by the window and peeked his big ole head in. This being my first trip to Chappaqua, I had joked with my in-laws on the ride over as to whether we would run into Bubba dining here, and of course no one expected that would happen. But then lo and behold, I am staring the man in the eye as he looks through the window. Understand now that I am the *last* person to go gaga over celebrity sightings. And even if deep-down I am somewhat excited by seeing someone famous, I have a rule to never bother them. But my mother-in-law would have none of it, and thought this was the opportunity of a lifetime for the grandchildren. And to her credit, Mr. President seemed to be fishing for attention by peering in the window. Long story short, we followed him outside and asked for a photo, which he happily obliged. (Several photos, actually.) He even hung out for a bit, let us play with his two dogs, and was essentially the same charming man that you have always seen on TV. Pretty amazing. He really is larger than life. As for the food, well, turns out Clinton is a frequent visitor to the Old Stone Trattoria. And let's face it, Bubba knows a good meal when he sees it. (Although it was clear from the photo, Hillary's keeping him very trim.) Well, I must say I had one of the more delicious plates of pasta that I have had in a long time. It was a simple dish that I ordered: Whole wheat penne baked with eggplant and marinara sauce, and topped with a layer of fresh mozzarella. Dishes like this all come down to the gravy. My friend Marc N's family makes the best gravy I've ever had, and this was pretty damn close. You cannot get this much flavor without making it from scratch, and cooking it for hours and hours on end. It was absolutely delicious. My mother-in-law and wife shared an eggplant wedge. (Normally, being from NJ and all, I refuse to call subs "wedges," but I'll be nice in this case given that I was dining in the Wedge Belt.) MIL and wifey said it was very good. My manorexic father-in-law had a small Chappaqua Salad, but wasn't able to finish it. (smh) And my son, the healthy eater he is, had a giant slice of chocolate layer cake and only ate the icing off the top and back. A classic family dinner. Old Stone Trattoria, truth be told, is technically just a glorified pizza joint. But they've decorated it such that it feels like you are dining in someone's house. And the BYOB policy is nice given that they have a liquor store literally right next door. I did not try the pizza unfortunately, as that would be the true measure of this place's greatness. But I did spy an artichoke and spinach pizza on whole wheat crust on the menu, which I most certainly will come back for. And who knows, maybe next time Bubba will come in and join me for a slice. (No deduction of stars for all the Chappaqua locals who gave us the stinkeye for bothering their local celebrity. Tough titty for you.)

Just moved to town and this place is a few blocks away. I have eaten my share of pizza and I can tell you the pizza here is excellent. Crisp crust and it's done right. I go here a couple times a week usually to grab slices at lunch. Went here for a sit down meal with the family a few weeks back and ordered chicken parm dinner, was amazing. My kids are picky eaters and they loved the place. They asked us if we would move tables after we sat down to acxomodate a larger group which we were happy to do because we wanted to be outside anyway. The owner or at least I think it was the owner gave us our drinks on the house which was a classy move. I highly recommend this place and am glad it's nearby.

  • Salani L.

This place has definitely gone up in quality of pizza. The vodka slice is ON FLEEK!!!! I am still salivating at the lingering taste in my mouth. The white slice is also fire. Overall, best pizza in Chappaqua by far. Best vodka slice in Westchester that I know of. Good job guys, I'll be back in your gitty tomorrow.

Really 3.5 star rating is deserved. Food, wine and espresso were very nice. Needs cloths napkins, water glasses made of glass. Wine glasses were real. Nice place to come to again.

I ordered the veal and pepper wedge, the worst sandwich I ever had 3 tiny pieces of veal a few peppers and mostly onions for 9.25 will never eat there again ripoff

  • Matt D.

I've been going here a while now, take out and sit down. I really can't say anything bad about the place, I've never had any issue with my food or the service. Between my family and I we have had majority of the items on the menu. It's always well made and flavorful, with quality ingredients. I always appreciate it when the owner is at the restaurant, especially when they are behind the counter or in the kitchen. And the is no shortage of Angelo (the owner) there. He has a real passion for his restaurant that shows in the quality. As for the wait staff, always helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Marta is or favorite!

I love everything about this place. It's sicilian pizza is every bit as good as DeFaro's. Their shrimp parmagianna is wonderful. And they make , as specials, salads in cheese baskets. Their tapanada that is served with their bread is perfectly flavored. The service is wonderful and the prices gentle. I've brought dozens of people there who love it. My only complaint is that it oftentimes is justifiably crowded and you'll have to wait for a table.

Took forever for food, and when it arrived it was burnt on the outside and cold on the inside. The chef saw it and didn't offer to make another one. Then the pizza we had ordered we substituted additional mushrooms instead of broccoli, and when the waitress asked if we wanted sauce on it, of course we said yes. We were stuck paying for the sauce as an extra as well as the mushrooms that were substituted for the broc. They should have told us! Cold inside too.

We ate here last evening. We were greeted and seated promptly by a pleasant friendly waitress. We had a coupon for 15 0/0 off. Our order was taken and the food arrived. The ladies ordered salmon, which was very good. We had chicken parm and angel hair bolognese, both quite good. Bill was not there. Overall, a good dinner. Will be back.

  • Sara H.

Fast service, excellent thin crust pizza and the best penne vodka in the county. We order from here at least once a week and are always happy with the food., The pizza is excellent and has a thin, crispy and perfect crust. I always go to pick up but the service is very quick.

    (5)
  • Lalay G.

Pizza is good, garlic knots are really good, some of the main dishes are good but the majority of the dishes are average. Price is a little more expensive compared to other pizza places in the area especially with the average quality of food. The service is slow especially for deliveries. They took an hour and messed up our order.

I hope my friends and my father don't read this. Both groups have raved raved raved about Old Stone. I'm afraid since living in NYC for the past two years I might have become jaded in my food tastes. But I found Old Stone to be good, just not superb. I loved the atmosphere inside the restaurant. Somewhere between a beautiful home style Italian restaurant and a pizzeria. Such a nice Italian restaurant for the every man has not really been part of Chappaqua before, and so I am happy for that. The service was also very good. Now onto the food. We ordered the fried calamari, my fiancee got penne alla vodka, and the table split a pie of garlic pizza and a pie of sausage pizza. The calamari was a little underdone. The calamari loops were very large and buttery. Though the squid-y leg parts were much better cooked. My fiancee thought the penne alla vodka was decent. The pizza was pretty good. I liked how the sausage were in long pieces. It was slightly greasy. The thin crust was probably my favorite part, as it was wood-fired to perfection. The garlic pizza was okay. The crust wasn't as crunchy and it was also slightly greasy. In the end, I think my view was tainted because of my friends and my father's over-hyping. They tried to prove to me that this restaurant is way way way way better than anything Chappaqua or possibly Westchester has ever seen. But in the end for me, the decor was top notch, but the food was equal if not only slightly better than other pizzerias and average Italian restaurants in bordering towns.

Really nice place to eat with good food. Pizza selection is great and the service is solid. A good place for a slice and a chicken parm hero, not the place to go for lasagna.

  • Picky Tastebuds M.

Tried the eggplant Parmesan dinner was more oil in there than eggplant. Extremely soggy, under seasoned , a very unpleasant meal. My fork was pulling through a pool of oil and sogginess. The pasta that came with it had a marinara sauce on it that tasted like bitter tomato paste straight from a can. The only thing we like from here is the buffalo chicken pizza. Steer clear of anything else.

Amazing pizza! They have great super thin crust pizzas with imaginative and delicious toppings! I especially love their thin crust pizza with grilled chicken and vodka sauce and their broccoli rabe, roasted garlic, grilled chicken and mozzarella pizza. They always have new specials including soups and paninis. Definitely a great place to try!

A couple of my friends suggested that I try Old Stone. I got tired of them raving about their pies so I did and I am glad I took their suggestion. Very good brick oven pies. If you don't like what they have on the menu they will make whatever creation you would like. Whatever you do you will not be disappointed it is all good. Definitely recommend this place to anyone that likes brick oven pies

Terrible food. We tried a family style chicken dish that was supposed to feed four but they only gave us two and a half chicken cutlets. Their homemade salad dressing tastes disgusting, with lemon and olive oil, no garlic or seasoning.... Stay away from this restaurant. Not worth it!!
