This Queens deli serves the freshest hot and cold specialty foods with love. There are always interesting specials.....and you won't get killed with the price....the breakfast sandwiches are also ...to die for......and there is an adjoining dining area where you can take it easy for a spell.....one of my favorites!

How much do I love Tony's! Regardless of how busy it gets -- and early mornings and lunchtime it does get busy -- the staff is friendly, smiling, and efficient. They make the best breakfast sandwiches in town, hands down. Real eggs, made to order (not those evil, spongy things you'd get from Dunkin'), crisp but not overdone bacon, and a fresh roll, plus a large coffee make a wonderful morning meal. Their fresh, house-made mozzarella is creamy, milky, and delicious. And their deli meats make for some fantastic heroes. Great olive mix and other salads, and a wonderful selection of imported Italian products, including excellent gluten-free pasta for my celiac husband. And if you have extra time, you can grab a table in the space next door and eat a leisurely meal. Enjoy!

It's been a while since I've been in the old neighborhood , This was one of my favorite spots for lunch. It's kick ass , by far the best deli in Beechhurst and The service is so personable , they make you feel like they are inviting you to their house for lunch. its that damn good!

I'm not in love. I don't hate it. During lunch time I understand it gets busy so wait time can be a bit long. But seriously.. I went a couple of times when they had nothing going on and the wait was over 10 minutes to pay for something simple like a tea which takes 2 minutes TOPS. Oh and by nothing going on i mean 3 people in the store including myself and 1 of those was just chatting It up with the guy working the counter. So.. Am I suppose to wait till you're done chatting? You have people online waiting to be served or waiting to pay. You could just take care of them first and then continue your convo. Just saying. Now, as far as food, I have to say I tried their eggplant parmigiana and it tasted amazing. However, sadly, when i got past the first layer it was nothing more than a pool of oil at the bottom of the container. I couldn't eat it and it went to waste. TRY THEIR FROZEN CAPPUCCINO. You haven't lived life yet until you've tried it. Their soups are good and their fruits are always fresh and inexpensive. Tried their rice pudding once which was also good. I've heard their wraps are good as well however, i never got to try because I'm scared I might be stuck in the store 30 minutes or more just waiting for it. If you've got time.. TIME.. Then sure. Go. If you need to grab coffee and be in and out in less than 5 minutes, then just skip to the DD down the block.

One day I was craving deli sandwiches so I turned to Yelp, and found this gem of a place. Their sandwiches are super delectable and the portion sizes are quite generous too. To top it off, the staff is very friendly. They greet you the moment you walk in. I was surprised when one of the staff remembered my name the second time I went. I'm definitely going back the next time I'm craving something yummy!

Been coming here since I'm a child. The food is excellent. All you'd expect from a premium delicatessen, plus homemade pasta, veggie and meat specials, 6 days a week. The family atmosphere here really kicks it up, too. Tony's family keeps it real, with all the siblings and both parents churning out some of the best Italian specialities in all of North Queens.

Love, love, love!!! Everything about this place is great. From the friendly people to the the amazing food. Their food is fresh and never disappoints. After moving out of Whitestone I still come for the sandwiches and coffee! Love this place.

The guys at Tony's are so nice. I love coming in and being gteeted good morning by my first name. Something so little as that makes it so inviting to come back. Not to mention the quality of the bread and sandwiches are amazing. I've moved out of the neighborhood but I'll still find time to come back here to get my sandwiches.

Today I had my first experience with Tonys Beechurst deli....and I have to say it was the BEST experience I have ever had. From the moment we stepped in we were greeted with smiles. The food is amazing but what really did it was the customer service. The people working there are some of the nicest people I have ever met. I think the customer service just made my whole experience. It really is a breath of fresh air to find some nice friendly smiling faces anywhere in queens. Tommy behind the register was so friendly, I wanted to try their fresh mozzarella because I heard wonderful things and even offered me a sample which sold me. BEST FRESH MOZZARELLA I'VE EVER HAD! The food is some of the best I've had and I am a VERY picky Eater. I absolutely loved it, they even have homemade frozen gnocchi and gorumet raviolis that I had to buy. I really can't think of anything bad to say about Tonys. They even took the time out to learn our names which was a nice surprise! They really care about their customers at Tonys and I promise nothing there can disappoint. I will definitely be going back!!

It's rare to find a deli that takes pride in its sandwich making like Tony's does. All ingredients are freshly made in house. The staff is friendly and willing to do whatever they can to help you. Much of the Italian items they offer are standard for specialty stores that provide pre-made meals to go. Where Tony's sets itself apart is the taste. Everything is fresh and made with loving hands, and it shines through in the food. The hot items are good but the freshly made sandwiches are where it's at. I always order the roast beef. It's a perfect medium rare and is sliced so perfectly thin it brings a tear to the eye. If you're in the area, getting your hair done across the street or at the travel agent next door, stop in and grab a bite to eat at Tony's. It is something you will never forget.

Really great neighborhood spot. Family operated, they make hot food daily, cater, and the quality is great. No better place for lunch in Whitestone.

An interesting spot in this very residential and out of the way neighborhood, where this little commercial strip has a high number of vacant properties. Tony's is a special oasis here and for its quality and provision of this resource to a neighborhood that needs it, I'll give it five stars even though I should knock it down for its higher prices. I came here a few days ago and got two excellent paninis and a minute maid fruit punch. Total cost: 17.25. The paninis are a bit high, at $7 and $8, and they took maybe ten minutes to make, but it's true that every ingredient was delectable. It is clearly all fresh: the mozzarella, roast pepper, and eggplant that I got. That's really special. It's the exception at delis, where food sits in bins and "lettuce" means pale green shreds. Here the bread is homemmade and perfect, and the scene is based on regulars. Prices are not posted. If, as one commenter says, they charge different amounts to different people, I don't feel so good about that.

  • Nick W.

AWESOME! These guys are great. It's family run by genuine Italians who often speak it with their customers. Very friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious. I recommend any Panini. The daily specials are teriffic and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Pros: People, food, portions Cons: Costs are a bit high but you get what you pay for. Unfortunately they have no set prices and two customers could order the same thing and get two different prices. Also, the dining area room is a little dated and dirty.

I absolutely LOVE the food from Tony's. Clean Deli, food is so FRESH and I'm practically drooling just thinking about that penne. The guys there are so sweet they make you feel like part of the family. WE love all of them. They catered the food for my son's birthday and everyone loved it. BEST DELI EVER.

  • Rollo T.

Fresh mozz made in store. Always fresh cold cuts and sandwiches. The hot food is made everyday and is as you would expect from a homemade kitchen. The only problem with this place is that it's SO SLOW! 20 min for a hero is unacceptable. The breakfast, they wait for the chicken to lay the eggs I guess. You can order and sit in and eat next door. 5 star food, with 3 star counter help.

Love Tony's Deli. I dream about their paninis. The staff here is all so nice. Whenever I call to place an order, they make you feel welcome over the phone and when you go to pick up the orders. I love the specials that they have during the week, but they really do have the best paninis! My favorite is the eggplant panini. I've also been to parties, where the catering was from Tony's and they have the best catering too!

Been getting sandwiches here since I was a kid. Always fresh fast and friendly. Anytime I'm in the mood for some great cold cuts or home made hot Italian dishes this is the first place that comes to mind.

  • Annie L.

The friendliest staff I've ever met. They really make you feel like family. I would stop by just for the service alone but luckily their food is pretty good as well. The paninis are my fave! I usually get the Roast Beef one and they don't skip out on the meat. There was one time I arrived too late, around 5:30? And they've just washed their panini grill so I had to get it on wrap. The guy was genuinely remorseful but it was still good on a wrap.

  • Elisabeth L.

no one makes a better sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll than this place.... NO ONE. They aren't cheap with the eggs and meat...the coffee kicks ass (not burnt, not watery) perfecto...and who cares about the price ..u get what u pay for. Thanks Tonys Deli for not sucking like: "Cherry Roach Infested Valley" and "Asian Sensation Christinas Deli."

  • Billie F.

This place has the best food! The paninis are my favorite. They're HUGE! And so yummy! The guys here are so super sweet. Very friendly and welcoming. One of my favorite places to order lunch from :)

I mainly go here for their fresh mozzerella. They make it by hand, at the shop and it is freakin AMAZIN! Usually pick up a couple for Easter, Christmas and New Years Day to bring by family. Everyone luvs its, top rate and FRESH! GO and get it early, they run out fast, or call them an place an order, get at least 2, you will probably eat one all by yourself.

Great food! I didn't know what to order so one of the workers and I decided I should get a grilled chicken ceasar salad. I thought it would be nothing special but boy, was I wrong! The salad had lots of great stuff in it that you normally don't find in a ceasar salad, like fresh mozzarella cheese balls, red peppers, olives, and other round stuff which tasted amazingly good. The dressing was awesome, the mini croutons were awesome, the chicken was great, everything was just delicious and exciting to eat. I think it was the best salad I've ever had. I will definitely come back to try some sandwiches!

When I was pregnant with my daughter and deprived of cold cuts, I was literally dreaming about a Tony's Special (their Godfather hero). Everyone I knew had strict instructions to bring one to me in the hospital and everyone let me down! I didn't get out to Tony's til I was back to work and it was the first lunch I had. It was all I remembered and more. =) Everything I have had from Tony's has been fresh and delicious, and they aren't cheap with their sandwiches. They even actually give you cheese (I always ask for extra cheese), as opposed to the token 2 slices you normally get at a deli. There is a seating area as well, which is nice but I haven't used it. The guys are all sweet and not creepy, a definite plus. Worth a drive if you aren't close by, and if you ARE there's no excuse. FAR better than that over-hyped other deli in the neighborhood!

This place is five stars for so many reasons. The food is absolute perfection, every time I eat there, with anything I try, i am always beyond pleased. The food is fresh, home made and fantastic. I recommend the sausage and peppers, the grilled chicken and any of the sandwiches they have. They have a rotating hot food bar with daily Italian specials. What's really remarkable to me is the service. Each and every time I visit the gentlemen behind the counter are so welcoming and so friendly. I've seen them talk to each customer, even when it's the lunch rush. They take their time and they are efficient and so polite. It's so refreshing to have a whitestone business that really values their customers. The prices are fair, especially for the portions. They have a nice selection of Italian meats, cheeses, and groceries. They are small but have a nice sitting area to eat. Make sure you have an iced cappuccino before you leave! Also, the place is cash only !

Thank you it was amazing.

A hidden gem,one of the last good Italian delis in Queens. While waiting on line, I noticed that everyone who came in, was on a first name basis with the guys behind the counter. When I was ready to pay the owner noticed I wasn't from around there. He took the time to talk to me. He asked my name, took his glove off shook my hand and introduced himself. Tommy was a cool guy who loves what he does,I highly recommend this deli.

Can't best the sandwiches they got here. If you are a fan of grilled chicken and are tired of the under/overcooked chewy or dry that has virtually overcome NYC, then this is the place to go. Ideal sandwich: Grilled chicken, fresh mozz (house-made) roasted peppers, balsamic vinegar on a hero. Classic sandwich, but the fresh ingredients put this sandwich among the tops I have had. They also make great breakfast sandwiches and a wide variety of paninis. Of course, they also have fully stocked all freshly made italian specialities. Everybody inside is very friendly and always willing to make the best sandwich the best possible. Enjoy your sandwich!

Try: Prosciutto, Mozz, Roasted Peppers, & Chicken Cutlet w/ Balsamic on Semolina Hero it's phenomonial Extra Large Hero + 2 Drinks only 12$ amazing... Mozz is fresh, homemade & deliciousness. We will be back soon!!!!

I called in an order for lunch on a recommendation from a co-worker. Cuban panini was very tasty, not the most authentic I ever had, but very good nevertheless. My friend ordered a chicken cutlet parm hero, which was pretty massive and he said it was also really good. It's clean inside and it looks like they make a lot of big sandwiches for a fair price. In the immortal words of Arnold, I'll be back.

Great Italian Proscuitto and fresh mozz paninis. Picked some up before working this weekend nearby. Thanks for filling us up! :)

Been getting sandwiches here since I was a kid. Always fresh fast and friendly. Anytime I'm in the mood for some great cold cuts or home made hot Italian dishes this is the first place that comes to mind.

This place is great. I have been going here for years. The food is always good and the guys behind the counter are all super friendly. I don't live in the neighborhood anymore but go out of my way to come by and get something to eat

Very old school Italian deli. Fresh meats, pleasant people. Nice sandwiches and assortment of imported meats and items.

This Queens deli serves the freshest hot and cold specialty foods with love. There are always interesting specials.....and you won't get killed with the price....the breakfast sandwiches are also ...to die for......and there is an adjoining dining area where you can take it easy for a spell.....one of my favorites!

The most loving and friendly family run deli I've ever come across. Great selection of food and drink. Swamped by lunch time. I hate Italian food but I'd swear by anything Josephine made. They have the best everything.

no one makes a better sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll than this place....
