This place has a great selection of bagels. I chose the cinnamon sugar through a tip that I read. The bagel was pretty good, a little burnt in certain areas when it was toasted. The only thing I would really change is the amount of cream cheese they put on the bagel. Or at least next time I'll be specific and ask for not as much. Nevertheless the entire bagel was pretty amazing. I plan on returning and trying a different cream cheese, bagel and the iced coffee which I hear is pretty amazing. The decor is very cozy and there were a few people there on a Saturday morning hanging out and catching up. My kind of party.

Good bagels. If you have two people and you both want the same cream cheese. One person should their bagel with cream cheese and other plain because they place so much on there that you could split it between two people. Parking sucks.

Great bagel. Obnoxious service. They know they have a good bagel but they treat customers like crap. I have seen on more than one occassion them snip at a patron. Since they have a great bagel they can get away with it... For now. Go for a bagel but not to be treated well.

In short; if you're in the mood for a bagel in or around White Plains, NY, What-a-Bagel is a no brainer. My personal favorite bagels, spreads, and muffins in Westchester. The quality is always consistently delicious, the help is prompt and polite. Prices are on par with competitors.

This place use to be great but it's a dump now. Don't know what happened, but sorely disappointed. I would go here all the time with or without a voucher because the bagels were great. Searching for a new place now. Hopefully this owner gets his act together & cleans the place up if letter grades were handed out like in NYC this place would be a C !!!

Best bagels in White Plains, for sure. The bagels are complimented by a huge selection of Green Mountain coffee, unrivaled by anyone else in the area. Ron, the owner, is a very nice guy, and works just as hard as his employees -- often, you'll find Ron himself behind the counter putting together your Nova and cream cheese with onions on a sesame bagel (my personal favorite). Prices are reasonable, not at all like some of the "authentic" Manhattan knockoffs in Westchester County. If you want a great, quick breakfast on the go, this is your spot.

What A Bagel is my favorite bagel place in the area. They're not the best bagel I've ever had, but, for the general White Plains area, it's our go-to. The selection of different kinds of bagels, flagels, and muffins is nice, and there are a ton of different cream cheeses to choose from. The typical plain and veggie (regular and lite) to olive, garlic & herb, herb & bacon (not the right name), and the list goes on. Bagels and cream cheese are always fresh. They also have a nice variety of Green Mountain coffee selections. For lunch, they have a full deli, and their bagel sandwiches are awesome. Not a whole lot of room to sit, but if you're searching for a good bagel and cup of coffee in the morning, I'd look no further.

I just want to know why the owner (I assume the guy with the fanny pack) has to be such a terrible person with such distain for life. Bottom line he is a total ahole with a serious lack of customer service. You should learn to treat people better because you never know what type of business you will lose, especially if it is from a major employer in the area!!!

We buy bagels here every sunday morning. This is my fav store to buy bagels but last time we went there, the whole wheat ones were a lil overdone. Overall, thieir bagels are pretty good.

Great bagels, & the cream cheeses are so good!!! I tried the veggie, plain, strawberry & cinnamon raisin walnut. They were all very good, but the cinnamon raisin walnut was unique to me & my favorite! Strawberry was my other favorite w/ bits of strawberry! Prices are average to me, & parking is out front on the street....which is fine with me, as I was able to find a spot right in front. I got my stuff to go in the afternoon, which was fast, friendly & there were still a good selection of bagels. I will be back, for sure!

Very good bagels and good selection. They also make great muffins, altho they are a bit sweet, and great sandwiches. The staff is a bit curt but, they are trying to work as fast as they can. I would recommend this place.

I had a voucher and used it to get my coworkers some breakfast one morning. I expected nicer looking digs and it looked more like a convenience store but I had no choice so I used my voucher. The staff was somewhat helpful with a tinge of annoyance. It almost seemed as though they were upset that I was using a voucher, despite the fact that I purchased a lot more that the voucher supplied. For the record, had it not been for the voucher, I wouldn't even know this place existed and I have driven past it on numerous occasions.

What A Bagel? More like What A Ripoff. This place isn't cheap for things like sandwiches. The bagels are ok and can actually be good (sometimes), so that's why I gave them two stars. The coffee is gross. Everytime I go in there (which has been less and less ever since I've discovered much better bagel shops in other towns in Westchester) the staff is really rude and unwelcoming (signs around the register prove this to be true - i.e. the sign that says something along the lines of 'no say, no toast'.) Also, why do they stop making bacon and eggs at 12? I just don't understand this notion...and it really makes me angry. One time I ordered a bagel with bacon and egg on it at around 11 AM and the staff were so obviously displeased with my decision that I almost wanted to ask them why they chose to work at a bagel place to begin with. The only thing convenient about this place is its on Mamaroneck Ave, but honestly its overrated.

If you need a little masochism in your life, "What A Bagel" is the perfect place to go. The bagels themselves are pretty decent, but the customer service is horrible. They have a sign that says, "Don't worry, our staff is accustomed to dumb questions." I have a question. Why should I buy a bagel from a place that treats me like an idiot?

What A Bagel has great bagels (but of course, I've never really had a BAD bagel anywhere), but I dislike that you have to park on the metered street parking along Mamaroneck Ave. Also the place is so small, there's hardly anywhere to sit. I think there are maybe 6 chairs. Anyway, prices are normal for bagels ($1.55 for toasted bagel w/ butter) and they offer a delicious selection of muffins as well. Mmmmm, bagels... So yah, 5 stars for the bagel and 3 stars for the convenience = 4 stars on yelp.

Overpriced bagels, decent quality. Only go here if your craving bagels and can't have anything else

The best bagel in White Plains hands down! I've been coming here since the day I moved into the hood and haven't stopped. They offer a wide variety of muffins and bagels with all types of cream cheeses and toppings. Egg sandwiches are available however you like. They offer 6 types of Green Mountain coffee, rotating flavors daily. The service is friendly and very quick. You can also purchase eggs, milk, juices, Snapple's & vitamin waters if coffee is not your thing. The place is small and seating is limited so don't expect to eat here all the time. ***Useful Note- If you are just buying a coffee, just tell one of the staff and they will ring you up. If you don't they will assume you are being helped and go back to help someone waiting on the bagel line. Also, Credit Cards accepted on transactions $10 over.

Supreme bagels, good coffee, too bad the service sucks! I go here a few times a month. I come from the Bronx but the bagels are really good so I like the food. It seems like every time I come here the staff has a huge chip on their shoulders. They give you an attitude rarely say hi or thank you. I dunno this place could be a gold mine if they hired some nicer more SERVICE oriented people. It would have gotten a 5 star rating if that were the case. Owner take notice.

Do they mean "What a TOXIC Bagel?" My two kids participate in an activity close by a couple of mornings per week. Often we stop in for breakfast. At first I was pleased with the quality of their food and felt the service was efficient if not friendly. Then a couple of days ago I ordered flavored cream cheese on a bagel. I bit into it and felt some kind of crackly non-food item in the cream cheese. It grossed me out but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt because I had eaten there dozens of times with no problem. Then today I ordered the same bagel with cream cheese. This time part of the bagel itself had an off, chemical taste. I thought I must be imagining it until my son said that his bagel tasted weird and wouldn't finish it. Now I'm nauseated thinking about it and paranoid it will make me and my son sick. I don't know what is with this place but I will never go there again.

Ever need fresh baked, light and delicious Bagels, What a Bagel is the only place I would recommend in White Plains....My only negative issue about this place is the servers...

The bagels: pretty darn good The coffee: Green Mountain. No complaints The staff: pretty terrible; slow, non-communicative, not friendly, did I mention slow? Summary: if you're the only one there when you order, you should be fine. If there's any kind of a line, buckle up. You're going to be there a while & at that point, just go to the diner next door.

Great bagels, but customer service is very rude and unwelcoming, not to mention they gave me incorrect change on several occasions. Because of that I just decided to spend my $ somewhere else.. I like to start my mornings as pleasant as possible. But if that doesn't bother you, the breakfast and bagels are good.

Bagels are good, but what's grinding my gears are the rude women that staff the counter. I've gotten attitude from them numerous times, and they just don't seem to understand that they are there to serve customers, not to do them a favor. The owner is often around but doesn't seem to be able to teach his workers how to act towards customers. They really must work on their customer service or people will just go elsewhere.

If you like rude, slow and inattentive service, this is the place for you. The staff does seem to like each other though. They spend a lot of time talking to each other. Who cares about the bagels?
