Passing through town decided to stop at a diner. Found this place and stopped in. First off, the building needs a sign that says diner. We thought it was a bait shop at first. Then we went in and got a table. It was 55 minutes from the time we ordered until the food came. The food itself was good, although they put cheese in my omelette which I didn't ask for. The diner also only takes cash or checks, which is fine if the ATM was working.....

My girlfriend and I came to have breakfast on the Fourth of July. The server seemed inexperienced and a bit awkward. We ordered coffees and a water. After waiting ten minutes I went up to the counter and asked for them. She was polite and apologetic. It was a busy morning being a Holiday and all. The lady told us before we sat that it could take up to 30 minutes. Love that she gave us that heads up! Did not mind waiting at all because the food was Delicious!!!!!!! Pancakes are on point, breakfast sandwich to die for and the bread was fresh and great. Coffee wasn't good but overall the ambiance was comforting and homey. I've been coming since I was a young child and makes me feel at home. Love this place! Highly recommended.

We come to the TI area every year in July, and every year we stop at the Hot Biscuit Diner on Saturday morning before we head out of town. We always enjoy the food and have never had to deal with a not so friendly waitress. The only problem is, there is always an extremely long wait for the food. This has happened for at least the last five consecutive years. I know Saturday mornings can be busy, but doesn't the manager know that also? The waitresses really work hard but it seems a lot of problems could be solved with an additional waitress and maybe a cook's helper. Each year we hope the wait will be shorter but it never seems to improve.

Hit this place for breakfast... passing through. Quick to greet us and worked to accommodate our party of 8. Slow to take our order. Had to go to the counter to request coffee after 20 minutes waiting. Had to go back to counter request a coffee pot to refill coffees. Waitress finally got the hint and brought a pot to the table but other than kitchen staff delivering food no check in to refill or ask how our meal was...oh it was fine. Nothing to write home about but eggs were cooked as ordered and the food was hot. Bused our own dirty dishes too. Needless to say no tips for this waitress. Sadly even ad we handed her our money and she read our hand written comments on the bill she didn't apologize or even thank us for our patronage. Avoid the brunette with the bright smile. Not a good front for this business. We not only won't return we will tell others to avoid this business.

Great food. Exactly what you would expect from a good local diner/restaurant. Prices are very good and the specials are always huge. Never a disappointment and you certainly never leave hungry. Service is very attentive and they are always ready to please. The go to place in Ti!

The hot biscuits were not hot nor good. The service was very slow but our server was very friendly.

My brother and I stopped here for lunch. He has been here many times, but this was my first time. There is a parking lot out front, but when we pulled up it was full so we parked on the street. It was moderately crowded, but we went in and found an open table. Our waitress was nice. We ordered lunch, and it took a while for us to get our food. They probably could have used some extra help for the lunch time crowd. The food was very good. My brother said it used to be better, but I thought it was better than an average diner. He gave it 3 stars, I say 4.

STAY AWAY...this place is the pits! I went in August 2014 and there was a good amount of people so I thought it would be good...NOT...there was a large party with kids at the counter and 2 male adults at the table behind me. These poor people waited for an hour before they got antsy and the kids, being kids, started chanting we want food...I didn't mind knowing how long they were waiting because it was uncalled for...the waitress came over and told the kids if they continue to misbehave they will have to wait longer for their food that's when the one father got up and asked if they were deliberately holding back their order.....the waitress said no, your kids are rude, then he said listen, we waited 30 min. to get our appetizer, no refills on any of the drinks while waiting and another hour and we still don't have our meal so don't bother, we'll pay for the appetizer and drinks...then the cook came out and yelled "look at this order, you are rude and so are your kids, don't come back" ; one of the patrons who lives here in Ti yelled out..."get out, don't come back" ...... wow, this place is scary....any way I noticed on the menu they had a bison burger sandwich for 6.75 and a angus beef burger sandwich for 6.25. I asked if they put the bison burger on different bread and the waitress said "no problem".......I waited 40 min. before I got this disgusting food.....it was ice cold, the bread was "soaked" in grease AND they charged me an extra 2.00$!!! I asked why the extra 2.00$ and the waitress said because the cook had to put it on different bread......really????? Do NOT NOT go to this place if you want eatable food and as far as the wait staff and cook.......forget it, I have nothing good at all to say about them or this establishment....

Food was decent nothing to go back for! Breakfast menu is very limited. The place could use a good cleaning. The floors are very dirty. The staff is pleasant but again nothing special.

On Sunday they serve breakfast only. Wonderful fluffy biscuits and real friendly service. Homey setting.

Typical small town diner food so don't expect your health food options. Two teenage boys, my husband and I stopped in for a late breakfast and all of us were pleased. The biscuits and chocolate chip pancakes were fabulous. Large portions, inexpensive, great service until a large number of people came in, but then the waitstaff was able to catch up. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. VERY clean dining room with enamel coated tables; antique kitchen tools & posters we're on the walls. Note...no plastic accepted.

Biscuits are the obvious choice and they are BOMB. We went two days in a row for breakfast. I tried a couple different omelets and hubby tested the homemade cinnamon & sugar donuts (yum!). Great service. Mediocre home fries.

This place used to be much better when they made the biscuits every morning in house. The diner is only OK if you're need a place for breakfast but it's nothing special.

Cute place with good food and nice service. The place is getting busy as many have found out about it.

Great diner/restaurant for breakfast. Delicious and warm food that is a treat when camping in the area.

Biscuits are barely passable. Which, for a place calling itself "hot biscuit," is not good.

Had it's golden age back in the late 90's when it was superb. At some point after that, I can't pinpoint where, it fell off. Now it is average at best and not even in the top three breakfast places in the area.

Went here for breakfast one morning and thought it was pretty good. Nothing really extravagant so don't expect Egg's Benny, but count on some great sausage, eggs, and homefries. My girlfriend got some pancakes and said they were some of her favorites. By the way they only take cash there (Like most of Ti) so be prepared. Also our waitress was super nice and attentive.

Best for breakfast but lunch is good too, only had slow (food came out cold) service once in 6 summers of dining here. 1 word: waffles...make it 3: Hot Chocolate. Also you can't really go wrong at a place with a "vintage" advertisement on the wall featuring an illustration of a black man with graying hair, scraggly beard, and worn and dusty clothes holding a bag of something (sugar, flour, something) and supposedly quoted text reading " 'Dis sho am good!" Well...maybe you can...ANYWAY i think it adds to the small upstate NY town feel...right?

The Hot Biscuit is your typical small-town diner -- a trans-fat loaded menu, Americana kitsch decor, the works. Their Belgian waffles are delicious, though!
