I totally LOVE this Place!!! Best Scene in the Steinway Strip!!!! Ambiance is cool with recessed lighting, has a true Modern Arabic feel to it, red carpet, ornaments and food is delicious..mostly middle eastern but also has American Foods.. Their Hookahs are AmAZZZInggg!! I love the fresh fruit (orange or guava ) hookah with milk on the bottom. Its a bit more but i feel it is TOTALLY Worth it ! You 'll see... This is the ONLY place that has different types of assorted liquors not just beers. Oh yes, if you want to feel a nice buzz , i would suggest fresh fruit hookahs with either red wine or patron on the bottom. (NOTE: this WILL be pricey but Worth it ) My Guy friends usually get that... :P Aside from all that they have GREATTT MUSIC!!!!! What ever you want ...arabic, salsa/merengue, bachata, reggea, soca, pop, hip-hop, EMOs, Electro, Trance...ALL the BEst Mixes by the DJs....!! ITs always poppin and on point with the music!! If you wanna lounge M - Th nights are the Best!! Otherwise Fri & SAT is A lot more ppl...But it is always a good time! The owner always very friendly and personable...makes sure everyone is taking care of.. Fayrooz always has younger crowd...mid-20s ti 30's. Its a nice crowd...fun and good looking crowd !! ;) No old men starring you up and down like the rest of them in the Steinway Strip. What is unique i find about this place is every time i go to Fayrooz there is always something new they have like a Hookah flavor or new tip for the pipes...always keeping it trendy and cool...I dont see that any where else and i have gone to Manhattan and Queens for Hookah lounges. So, if you havent gone yet...Make sure u try the hookahs I have mentioned and please show your support by leaving a good tip b/c they deserve it !!!!! :)

I've been coming here for years with no problem until tonight. Waitress took my card as soon as I sat down since they "have issues with people not paying the tab".. Not a problem for me until I get my bill and I want to dispute a service charge on a party of two. I will always tip my servers but this waitress I think her name was Aida or Adriana from what I could tell from the computer was especially bad and I didn't believe she deserved the $10 tip that had been automatically charged to my bill. When I asked to speak to the manager she said she was the manager and walked away to the bouncer to speak to him. He immediately comes over to me not asking anything accusing us of not wanting to pay the bill telling us he just wants to make sure take care of the bill. Again I tell him I have no issues paying the bill but I want to dispute the $10 charge for someone who couldn't even come over to take our order.. We had to walk to the bar to order our drinks and I had to wave her over to ask for a glass of water and for our check. She couldn't be bothered with taking an order. However she had no problem playing on her phone. Then when the bouncer proceeded to threaten us to call the cops AS WE ARE PAYING THE BILL. She has TWO of our cards in her hand and threatens to call the cops. For what? I don't know. Maybe harassment for us? Doubt it. Completely disgusting and unprofessional. No wonder this place has gone down hill. There's a million other hookah places that actually will SERVE their customers and care about their jobs. Not just show up and charge service fees not caring because they know they'll get their tip anyways. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Hookah isn't even great anymore and the service is beyond terrible.

The prices might seem high but they are not. Come at the right time and a DJ and light will be shown! Love this place I went for my birthday and enjoyed myself

The place inside is descent, very mix crowd and music which my girlfriends and I did not mind.. the real issue here was the bill. WHAT A SCAM!!! all of a sudden the minimum $25 per person became a $373 bill!!!! we got to the bottom of it and the waitress had "assume" we had extra drinks and we had order shots and ofcourse those shots were $8 each!. BOTTOM LINE LOOK OVER YOUR BILL CAREFULLY!!! they are scammers. After discussing our bill it went down $100.00 which sounded about right as we KNEW what we had order. People in this place target the tables and just assume everyone is drunk and are just gonna pay the bill. WHAT A TURN OFF!

Great place to chill and hang out! Awesome service. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff makes you feel like your home! I would recommend getting an iced hose!

Fayrooz is pretty close to where I live, so I have gone here a handful of times- honestly though it's usually because it ends up being one of the busiest spots on Steinway- though I'm not so sure why. The DJs are not that great, and the music is so loud to the wee hours of the morning and I can hear it from my bedroom... and I'm young, love going out, don't really care much about noise- but this was so bad I actually considered filing a noise complaint at one point. As for the service- it's shitty. There are a few servers there that are super rude and not pleasant or charismatic or kind at all. They do take your credit card to hold- but this is standard at other places too, so I never thought much of it. There is some weird rule though at night where you have to order a certain amount $$ in order to actually come in and sit down. The bouncers wear fedoras. I rest my case.

Very nice place, great music and atmosphere! Coming back for a revisit. Also, very clean

Worst place I been to on Steinway. So disorganized from the bartenders to the wannabe strippers/bottle girls and lets not forget the dj that had no clue what he was doing! This hookah lounge was so small and outdated at 11 PM they were at capacity ! If my friend didn't have a party at this place I would have never stepped in to the place oh and let's not forget the door fee that they tried to impose even on female clients! Lmao this place is a joke and needs to call bar rescue. They might have a fighting chance to stay open the rest of the year.

As soon as we paid they kicked us out!! We wanted to stay a bit longer but they didn't allow us!! VERY RUDE!!. We paid earlier because we only see the waitress once an hour! The hooka here is the worst ever.

I loved this place! Great service, good quality hookah and affordable! Must check out!

This is my second time here and it did not go as good as my first time! i will NEVER come back to this place. When we come inside the bouncers were really nice and welcoming, it was 6 of us and there were two tables by the door, but we did not want to sit there so we asked if there was anything in the back and they told us that they had the vip section but that you had to buy a bottle, then saying that the bottles were 95$ so we agreed to it. We sat down and it took the waitress about 15 minutes to come up to us, we had to wave her down. When she finally came up to us we ordered a hookah and it took a while to come to us, it was a little busy but its not like they were constantly bringing out hookahs. When they finally brought it out the hookah was not good at all! we ordered the priates cove i believe it was? and the smoke was really light! We didnt say anything about it and we continued smoking. We ordered another hookah dont remember the flavor but it was with an orange and this one was better and the smoke was pulling right. Once the lady brings us the bottle the blonde lady came to us and asked for our id's AGAIN???? like if they didnt check us at the front door? Whatever , we then ordered some food that was okay. the music was good. After a while i asked the hookah boy to change the flavor to a mint flavor and he came back instead with the same flavor just different charcoal??? i called him again and he said he cant change the flavor??? Im obv going to pay for it so why cant you change it??? When we ask for the bill it was $400 !!!! WTF ! The bottle was $175 the little one, a little pricy and def not the $95 the bouncer said it was. A hookah was $50, another WTF ! they werent even good to be that price! they also added $50 service charge for horrible service! The place is also worn out, with really dirty bathrooms. I will NOTTT recommend this place to anyone.

This place is awful. I don't really even know where to begin. Our waitress (if you could call her that) was the most inattentive individual I've had to deal with. She was more busy smoking hookah at the bar and talking to guys, than with our table. But it makes sense, since they add a decent tip to your check, whether you liked the service or not. Also, the hookah sucks. Said sucky hookah costs $20. My friend ordered a coke & I'm pretty sure they brought her sam's club soda pop. I ordered a beer and a shot & I got air. No literally, I didn't get anything. She forgot my simple order. This was on a Wednesday night, I can only imagine this place on the weekends. No Fayrooz, just no.

  • Serenity M.

I came here with my fiancee. We enjoy a nice hookah here and there but in my opinion this is not the best place. It was small and crowded. The girls were inattentive. The service was shoty to say the least. They over charged us and didn't tell us in the beginning. For the two of us we payed $61. Maybe if the girls were more attentive to their customers I would have been a bit happier. But sorry I will not be returning back to this hookah bar.

Fayrooz, oh Fayrooz, you popped my cherry lungs. Summer of 09, I was introduced to hookah at Fayrooz. We used to come here all the time, all summer...yeah, I'll keep this brief. (this review is based on my experiences here since 2009) I liked the atmosphere, good music, no space for dancing so don't even think about it. Sometimes they'd have a dj and it'd be good or not good. Bathrooms though...pee outside in a corner. Get that ticket if you must but avoid the bathroom! Hookah was pretty alright, little hookah guy would always check up on us, but them waitresses though, those waitresses saw you once and never again. Where they went!? I better not see mandatory gratuity for people I seen once the whole night! Oh well mandatory gratuity it is, yay... no. I do remember more recently probably 2011/2012, there was a blonde waitress with an accent, I liked her, she was very on point! Drinks and beer are served, great smoothies I remember. It's been a year or 2, maybe I'll stop by soon again to see what's going on here, possibly have a review update, for the better or worse. Buahaha, we shall see.

They should get SHUT DOWN. Went here on a Saturday night with 3 others. The sat us at a small table for two. When we asked for a larger table the bouncer gave us an attitude, told us "I don't have time for this $%@!", was rude and ignorant. Since when is a bouncer a host? The bouncers were also dancing really nasty with the customers. The waitresses were horrible as well. One was even pregnant and wearing a skimpy dress. When asked for a manager no one knew where this person was or is. Overall it was horrible customer service AMD we left within 10 minutes.

    (1)
  • Susana H.

Expensive for no reason. The ladies were rude and stuck up. Just order the regular flavors don't bother with their premiums. The body guards are nicer than the girls and that's awful especially when the tips is automatically included. Also the music is old and lame. Do not recommend. Too small to be having those prices and the ladies need to learn real respect and manners. Fake nice doesn't get you anywhere.

Nice ambiance but disappointing menu. Way overpriced for what you are getting. Do not be fool by their specials.

Went On A Friday Night And It Was So Good...... The DJ Rocks!! Plays Everything From Hip Hop To Pop To Reggae. Went The Following Night On A Saturday And They Had A Belly Dancer..... Wasn't Entertaining & Threw Off The Best Qualities Of The Plave - Dark, Fun & Mysterious!

  • Dayna P.

Nice ambience, deco and great happy hour specials! Went with my friend for happy hour and loved the music and decor. I had a popping time. I would recommend the mint hookah. We walked in and were promptly greeted by the server who answered all the questions we had, no sweat. If you like the page you get a shot for just $1. Happy hour is 3 hrs and with these prices, well worth staying.

I recently went to this place with a few buddies on a saturday night and this place has totally changed since the last time i was there last year.... A 360 degree change. The place, the decor, and everything. The drinks got larger and stronger, and finally more hookah flavors and they give a lot of smoke. We had a henessy hookah and that thing was really good. The place was very busy since it was a saturday night and our waitress was very nice. We took advantage of the 1 dollar shots by liking their facebook page. We got good service, treated good and they even gave us a few round of free shots on the house. The food was good too we had some cheseburgers and the combo platter. The resident DJ, johnnyseriuss is better than most dj's ive heard in the city and funny too.The ladies were hot that night dancing on the table lol and basically it was a good time. Overall it was a good night that night and I have no complaints about this place best hookah bar and lounge on the strip and I can confidently recommend this place.

Went here on a whim with my boyfriend. I hadn't gone to smoke hookah in years so i was pretty excited. When we walked in, old school hip hop was playing which was weird but fun. The service was terrible and the drinks were overpriced but given the nature of the business, it was priced like anywhere else. What i noticed that i found odd was the number of young girls that were there working hard to get guys attention. They were so obviously in high school and not old enough to be drinking. At one point a belly dancer came out which was a nice surprise. She was beautiful and clearly that was why she was hired as her belly dancing skills were subpar to say the least. Overall a nice night out but only for once i a blue moon adventure.

  • Stephen E.

terrible service and subpar hookah. dont waste your time here when there are so many other hookah places nearby

    (1)
  • Roc R.

Would be a semi decent spot if the service didn't suck! It is more for lounging with friends at tables than a party scene...no where to dance, and you cant even get a drink at the bar, you HAVE to wait for someone to attend to you at your table that you have to reserve. wouldnt go back unless i was invited to a celebration or something.

  • Erika C.

I'm partial to Fayrooz because I've been coming here since i was a teenager. However! this place is really overpriced liquor wise. 100+ for a bottle for the girl to come out with for 2 seconds with a sparkler I'd rather go get the bottle in the back myself and save an extra $30 but i will say they bring around a few rounds of free shots so i wouldn't say they are stingy i just think they try to make a buck where they can the atmosphere of this place is pretty good for a small location and on the weekends the DJ's play a nice mix even though your best bet is so dance on your couch because there is no room to really move around. the food is pretty good and not overpriced, wings fries & kabob for about $8-12 is not bad at all and the hookah isn't much more expensive. but i will say if you go up the bar yourself tip the bartenders big time! they are all sweetheart's and since i celebrated my engagement party there with my wedding party the bartender did more shots with us then i can remember. if you stay till after hours try to avoid the restroom...for obvious reasons i will not go into detail

Best hookah lounge I've been to in NYC ...or at least on steinway Scene: On the weekdays its more low key. I've gone with a group of friends or just to do my work. They provide FREE WIFI - such a plus but not all seats are accessible to an outlet On weekends its quite the scene, hot dancers are in the windows dancing very lively ambiance Staff: The waitresses and the "hot chicks" are the most upbeat people. The bouncer is super friendly and always recognizes when I come. The service is just great all around. The dj is by far one of the best he kept the place pumping and everyone just gets up and dances and the dancers get on the table with sparklers the place is an absolute party its great. The Hookah variety is the most I've ever seen anywhere! Their Fresh Fruit and Bluemist hookah flavor are phenomenal! The drink specials are amazing - until 9 beer is $2!!! All around outstanding place I would def recommend it !!

  • Ronel A.

It is a really cozy place, with good low priced hookah and really good music. Lady in the tutu skirt is very nice and attentive. The place is very warm.

  • Laura C.

Although the service is truly atrocious here, Fayrooz is the spot my friend and I always go to. We love the ambiance and that it is small. There's always a different crowd of people when we go. Nice place to unwind and chat.

  • Francisco V.

I was here with some friends on a Monday night. The place wasn't packed or anything like that. The food was pretty good, and the hookah was also pretty good. I don't recommend the cherry flavor. The only thing that I didn't like about this place was that we got charged $13 for service. Don't get me wrong the waitress was nice, but only came around 2 times out of the 3 hours that we where there. So we payed $13 for a "service" that kinda sucked. The music was HORRIBLE! Nearly made me fall a sleep. Maybe will be back, but not sure.

  • John C.

I thought fayrooz was OK. Granted, I would only go on off-nights (Sunday) so my friend and I were sometimes the only people in there. Our waitresses were usually really nice and we managed to have someone to add our coals and get another round of drinks in a timely fashion. They still managed to blast the music, as if it'll bring in some more patrons. We would always do some kind of fruity mixture of flavors for our hooka and they were all great! It lasted a good hour or so and we'd be on our way. We never ate there but honestly I probably wouldn't trust it. The place seems pretty dirty from what I could tell by the few candles that illuminate the entire space. So basically what I'm saying is that if you're going on a Sunday night with a few friends for hookah and drinks only, give Fayrooz a try!

    (3)
  • Nazmul S.

The hookahs here are undoubtably the best in Astoria, smooth well made hookahs, coals are delivered on time. Their BBQ chicken wings are very good! You should try the pineapple pirates cave and blue mist mix! For the perfect experience your should try their smoothies!

HORRIBLE service again HORRIBLE service !!!! The min I sat down she ask for id n credit card , since I was curious why are they doing that I ask her why are you asking for my id n credit card she goes oh well u not the only one I'm asking for I'm doing to everyone , she said in very rude voice. I repeated myself loud n clear I'm asking why are you asking for id n credit card CaZ I just sat down then she calmly explain people be going there then walk out. The hookah I order damn $30 my gosh n it tasted nasty. I was there only 20 min max. Never again I will go there. !!!!

They tend to get the bill on the table...even though u are not done...very unprofessional...Y would I go there spend money...don't go there..there are other spot on the strip...

Walked in by chance after seeing the amazing happy hour deal. Great music, spacious and comfortable seating, helpful staff. Go to happy hour spot for this looking for a great after dinner snack, hookah, or drinks!

  • Carly H.

We will never come back here and I recommend no one else wastes their time either. Service was horrible via the blonde waitress mentioned in other reviews. We happened upon this place for a birthday, and after placing our orders the waitress started out by telling us "our bill was too low." We tried to redeem the free birthday hookah, and suddenly there was a $15 person minimum. She told us we hadn't ordered enough to get a free hookah, despite having a group of 7 with drink orders and a second hookah. Throughout the night we ended up ordering multiple rounds of drinks, but had to go to the bar to order them every time. She didn't come back to our table, and just sat at the bar. It wasn't a busy night at all, we were close to where she was and it was obvious she was choosing to ignore us. The hookah itself was fine, and so was the music...aside from the obnoxious 'DJ Johnny Seriousssssss' drop ins every 5 minutes.

    (1)
  • Shahed K.

I went there 3 times in the past month, with groups of 4 or more, and spent over $150 each time. Granted that was spread out over 4 or 5 drinks per person, plus at least 3 hookahs, plus food at some point, and stayed there for at least 3 or 4 hours. The owner and waitresses will hook you up with free shots if you're there for a while. The food is pretty good too. The lamb sandwich is on point. The fresh fruit hookah's are good, but they burn the coal quick so you need to keep them on top of that. Also try the Blue Mist flavor - on point. Oh, and the music. The music is spectacular. Whether it's their resident DJ coming in every Friday or Saturday, or the iPod playing GOOD hip hop/house/pop/rock on any given weeknight - you're going to have a positive reaction to every song. There's even a live belly dancer on weekends. There are only two issues I have with this place: 1. There is no dance floor to enjoy the good music. 2. There's one blond waitress, who was a complete bitch by the way, that kept trying to get my group of 7 to get the check after we ordered 3 hookahs, one bottle of Goose, food, and other individual drinks. The owner straightened her out, but avoid getting served by her. She's there on Saturdays and has a thick accent. Check it out, though.

My friends and I went to this lounge on separate occasions thinking that maybe it was just bad luck and we should give the place another chance. But it was the same results. I recommend Jumbai or Sultana or any other hookah lounge across the street from this place. Service (Incredibly BAD) For a full 3 hours we were there, they only brought coal once per hour, the rest of the time we had to keep asking and received nothing. It was as if we were begging for coal and asked several times and no coal. Hookah (Alright) Even the premium flavors we got were tasteless. For almost every hookah we ordered we had to tell them to go back and change it. Food (Poor) Their wings weren't fully cooked and tasted dull, not enough sauce was used. Everything seems processed, not cooked in the back the same night. Price (Awful) Apparently we had to pay a 20% charge and a service charge for each person we came with. First time there my bill was around $600 (with the amount of orders, we had no problem with it) but the last time it was $120 for one premium hookah, $12 in wings, one beer bucket, 3 separate beers and a few waters. We checked and it came up to around $90 with tax and service charge but they said the extra charges was to pay for the chefs service, the waiter and the coal boy. Noting that we paid for the food, does it mean we have to pay for the chefs job too? The waited only talked to us about 3 times that night and the coal boy changed coal 3 times and we had to get up and request him from the back.

This place is great for a date with hookah and hip hop beats. I've been back three times for the $8 happy hour hookah and cheap beers. They also have big drinks to share ;) The waitress is sweet and they have full bar. Like on Facebook for $1 shot! Check in on yelp for FREE shot! I'll be back again..

=] one of my favorite Hookah lounges. I have brought over a lot of people here. Usually in groups of 3-4. I love the hookah and the waitresses always makes our drinks strong so we love taking advantage of their happy hour. Also, their gyros and sandwiches

    (4)
  • Julia W.

Horrible. Theres a spending minimum per person for a not so great spot. Once i saw the crowd and was informed of the 35$ minimum, i didnt even bother going in.

    (2)
  • Karla A.

Maybe its unfair to rate a hookah bar for its food, but we were disappointed here. We came in for a quick dinner and we didnt see the notice on the menu (8pt font) that said there's a minimum $12 per person order to stay here. When the waitress took our order (only one waitress, on a Saturday night!) 10 minutes later, she didnt tell us. Then she came back bringing bottled water and pointed us to the notice on the menu. We werent up for drinks or for hookah or for dessert, so we wantrd to cancel instead. She said we couldnt since she already put the order in- at least she agreed we could get it to go. (Wish they put up a sign outside!) We waited 30 minutes for the take out. We ordered 2kabab sandwiches, I didnt think it would take that long to slice meat, veggies and put tahini sauce, no? To think there were only two tables being served. We could've just gone to Kabab Cafe nearby but we liked the ambiance just by peeking from outside. Maybe its better for Fayrooz to just be a hookah bar and not serve food.

    (1)
  • Shari Z.

12$ min per person. (they were very serious about this) If you have a party more than 3 and you sit on the couches your friends have to sit in front of you. Which means they sit on old stained uncomfortable office chairs. FYI the couches and tables are lower than the chairs. (which makes it odd to have a good conversation)

    (2)
  • Yeriel G.

HORRIBLE - Never going there again on a Saturday or maybe ever. 1 - Its a $15 dollar minimum per person. So automatically either everyone has to get a hookah and a drink/shot or everyone has to drink. So if there's a designated driver...he/she's drinking. 2. - If you're sitting at the tables, they put the hookah so close to you, you have no elbow room. I burned myself twice and it was pretty bad. The hookah's hard to maneuver so if someone has to get out...good luck moving it around. 3. Complimentary/discounted shots are watered down. Yea its a free or cheap shot but you realize it was crap after you take it. 4. They charged my party's tab on someones card in another party. Lady at the bar said "oh sh*t, not again". Makes me question who they have working there. They even got mad for us telling the other party about the mix up 5 - We went there on 7/30 and because of the mix up with the tab, the charge went thru last week. Why the hell did they put it through a month and a half later. 6 - The wine was not served chilled. 7. The DJ was wack.. Did not know what he was doing behind the decks. I actually caught him putting mixes and songs from youtube. Computer kept freezing and couldn't maintain the volumes. WTF?!?!? 8. Hookah flavors were actually better on a weekday than on a weekend. 9. The belly dancer they had hit me numerous times with her scarf as she was twirling around. 10. It took forever to get our coal changed, even after flagging the guys down. I'm sure he's not doing anything important when he's standing by the bar on his phone. There you go..Ten reasons to not go there. I regret going there and there's no reason why the charge went through in August when i went at the end of June.

Overall my experience was not the best, the hookah was ok, but the chicken Shawarma i ordered was by the far the worst I have ever had in Astoria, or anywhere else for that matter. The service was terrible, we waited and waited, and waited and no one would help us and when they finally did, they were so slow.

    (2)
  • Vee G.

This place sucks - bad service, overpriced hookah and drinks. Might as well go to Teal, which is couple of blocks away. Better drinks and hookah. Or there are plenty of other hookah spots around the area which are more affordable with better hookah/service!!!!!!!

  • Jenn B.

I've only been here twice but this is the place to go for Hookah in Queens. Both times have been on a Saturday night so there's been a live DJ who plays a good variety of music. The have a pretty extensive list of hookah flavors and the food is decent. I was here for a birthday party last week and was the only loser drinking tea since I wasn't feeling to well but it was nice to know I had the option. The staff is usually very friendly and accommodating. It can get a little crowded in there and the seating is a bit tight for a very large party. There's no dance floor but people make use of the passageway to get their boogey on.

Omg this place sucks so bad let me start by saying I went there for my BFF bday party. I arrive to the place to have to sit on an old couch that made my butt sank to the floor... Then the blonde waitress comes to the table all rude and was annoyed when I asked her a questioned about the hummus. Anyway now to the part of the night that made me so pissed at my friends party was one of the girls that work at Fayrooz ok so this girl is getting so wasted and started to just bump and push everyone in front of her at first she bumped my sister a few times and I stood quiet but once my sister got up to go to the restroom and I saw that dumb girl run up to my sister and push her I was like no bitch you need to relax she was like I work here like that was going to save her from an good ass kicking.. I agrued with to just leave her alone because she was so drunk that if I would have hit her I would have looked crazy cause she was so sloppy drunk... Bottom line don't go to this place the staff sucks it make your experience there not a good One..

My friends and I went here on a Thursday night because they serve both beer and hookah. The place was pretty empty, but that is expected because it was a Thursday. They had a Happy Hour special of hookah for $8 and five Millers for $10 which was great. The White Sangria was good but a bit on the expensive side, but it was OK because of the money we were saving on Hookahs. The only annoying part (the reason why the rating is so low) is the wait staff. The waitress we had spent the majority of the night hitting on and drinking with an older Asian gentleman rather than seeing if we were happy with our order or needed drinks, coals, etc. She was stiff and a bit rude from the start: she wouldn't let me eat outside food that I brought (understandable, but said very gruffly), she checked our IDs on two separate occasions because we were drinking, and she did not refill our coals even though we specifically asked her for them. She also raised the AC (this is November), and when a patron tried to shut it off, she sat down and to scold him about it. My friends and I are quiet, we tip well, and we don't ask for much, but It just seemed like she wanted us to leave so she could continue mackin it to her senior citizen boyfriend. The other Hookah bars on Steinway are cheaper and have much friendlier and vigilant staff. Only downside is they don't serve alcohol

service sucks. the two waitresses have a serious attitude problem. over priced; do not waste your time here there are better hookah spots. NOT ONCE did any of the two waitresses come ask us if everything was okay or if we needed anything. It doesn't take much to stop for 2 seconds while you're coming from the last table you just served. We all had to get up several times and go to them to ask them for more drinks and to change the coal of our hookah. They're getting one star because of the ambiance and thats it.

Went on a Tuesday night around 8:30. Very chill loungy place with GREAT music. We ordered the Lamb Gyros for dinner which were very good. Love the sauce they put on it, I assume it's their Tahini sauce but it had a hint of Italian dressing to it which was unique. Hookah was a steal at $8 and that included a coal change. $8 hookahs before 9PM.

  • Kamran R.

Rude staff. Hookah sucks. Stop changing coals after a while and insist on getting a new hookah head mind you the old one is still good but they refuse to change the coals. Over priced. Gone there once bad experience and won't be going back.

Okay. Hmm. The ambiance is nice. The price are decent although the waitress tried to get u to buy the most expensive thing on the menu... The service is slow, but done with a smile but it was the bomb. He didn't blend music well and was random. My friend and I were disappointed because coming to Arab Town we expected a cultural experience and just got Hooka. We spoke of just going to the East Vill for that. He took request, though. We were definitely disappointed, but being in Queens late we just stayed bopped our heads.

The food and & drinks suck, but I played it safe and got the combo platter w/ mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings and chicken fingers which wasn't too bad. The drinks tasted like juice, but the hookah was good.

Avoid this place if you can. There are many others on the same block. Atmosphere was "ok" but the music was too loud, they were streaming off of YouTube or something. They were being stingy with the coal and would break one piece into 4's. Our shisha was burning so we asked the waitress to check it. She starts coughing up a lung and has the nerve to tell us it's still good. Then she's like I can swap it out for you but that will be $6 more. Oh and make sure you check your bill they like to add their own "Service Charge or Tip". There was 5 of us that went and it was a waste of time and money if you ask us.

I don't even know where to start. It looks like other yelpers agree. This place was terrible! Expecting an affordable Sunday night, 3 of us went during happy hour. Two of us arrived early and ordered a hookah, than checked in on facebook for our $1 shot. We were told we have to each order a cocktail as well for the shot (BS), so we did their happy hour $8 for two drinks. After finishing his drink, the waitress (Benil), who was extremely pushy automatically brought over a second my friend without his request, so I than ordered a second since we were no longer sharing the 2 for $8. By that time our friend arrived and ordered a coke. Benil told her she needs to order another hookah or something since there was a $12 min per person (we had no idea). We ordered a few food items, which were alright. Than we got our bill- It was $100!! She didn't honor the happy hour prices on our drinks, and made up some excuse that our well vodka cranberrys were not a part of HH, yet on our bill, it was another drink she charged $8 each for (margarita). All of our drinks were watered down to boot. The waitress added an automatic 20% gratuity for a group of THREE! She went through all that work to scam us, when we would have tipped her just the same if she had actually been respectable. Why work so hard to rip people off? DON'T GO! RIP OFF even for happy hour! We will NEVER return and we will NEVER allow our friends to go there.

Attentive staff, laid back crowd... Alcohol is served which is a plus. Sometimes they have belly dancers... Hookah was fine, coal was always being changed... Would I go back? Ehhhh....no. I would probably keep exploring for other places..

Love the Hookahs here especially the ones with fruits. Music is great, live DJs spinning on the weekends. Most importantly they take credit cards unlike a lot of places on steinway. They also server varieties of food. So come and see what the buzz is all about.

AWFUL. I was there last night. Ordered a $13 fried flounder with rice. The fish came in a big, breaded square, the kind of thing you get frozen at a grocery store. Food was terrible, $10 sangria was terrible, but I could have lived with it if it were just that. The most egregious thing was when I asked for a water. The waitress comes back with bottled water. It didn't occur to me until later that she was probably going to charge me for it. When she comes back I ask if she's going to charge for this, she says yes (btw, it was $3 for a small bottle). I argue that giving me bottled water without asking and without telling me how much it cost is kind of an underhanded move and that I didn't think I should have to pay for it. Her argument was that "it's a lounge" and that I shouldn't have opened it if I didn't want to pay. I threatened to subtract the cost from her tip. She counters that the service charge is included on the bill, as though that somehow required me to pay it (by law, it doesn't). So I pay the full bill minus the service charge. I wrote $28 on the receipt and signed it. I just looked at my credit card statement and, indeed, as I expected they would, they charged $32 instead. This is illegal and is something I could take them to court over, or dispute the charge with my credit card company. Unfortunately it is not worth it for $4. All in all, this restaurant came about as close to stealing my money as anyone possibly could without running off with my wallet. Highly not recommended.

First time here with my husband, his best friend and girlfriend. We had a few drinks (which were made very strong) the guys had a bite to eat (the standard bar food mixed in with Mediterranean food) and we smoked hookah with this super awesome Skittle flavor. Service was great, we had a Hispanic waitress/server who was very attentive and sweet. My only complaint would be the super loud music. At times it was impossible for us to hear each other. Not sure what they were trying to do with that.

Nice place to go when you have enough time to spend I went there last night The guy at the door is very nice BUT the service was pretty slow and the bill was pretty high for a Hookah place I'm not sure if I'll go back there again

I liked this place. The food and drinks were good. The hookah was impressive. I loved the old school hits the DJ was spinning! I had the Grape/Mint in pineapple head hookah.

I'd say you get what you pay for but barely even that here .... **I understand hookah lounges need to make profit as there are groups of 10 who will share one hookah but I despise the minimum per person these places insist on** The min here was $20 per person ... Sure no problem. Pros: Music was really good. The end. Cons: -Server insisted we reach $20 in one shot. I said I was going to order another beer later after I finished mine but said no it doesn't work that way. I'm suppose to just have multiple drinks in front of me? Or upgrade my hookah with unnecessary pineapples or ice cones? - Decor falling to pieces Holes in couches and wobbly tables, doesn't even seem they wipe the tables after people leave. I shared a mint hookah and a bucket of beer to reach the limit. Ordered mint and it was some kind of fruity one so I told the guy to please change it as I only like mint. He said sure no problem, he comes back and says oh I got you Blue Mist (an upgrade) it's better. I appreciated the gesture but in fact I ONLY like mint so it defeated the purpose but was so over it didn't even bother. Also, our group had a discrepancy with the bill that turned into a fiasco with the bouncers and management. At that point I just wanted to pay and leave. Most interesting experience at a hookah lounge yet.

Small spot but cozy. Bouncers are real cool there. Hookah is good can't really complain. Drinks are ok. Fishbowls were decent. Maybe a little more alcohol would do the trick haha.

Full disclosure... I had an amazing time at this place. I had several problems though. I came in to the place with a group of four people intending to become a group of 6 shortly. They seated us and pushed us to order at least 20 dollars worth of stuff per head. No problem at all (this is cheap). Within 5 minutes of being there, we ordered 114 dollars worth of stuff. Some lady came along and said listen, your 2 other guests aren't here yet so we must take away two of your seats.. Then our two guests arrived 5 minutes later, and the lady came around and now forced the two additional guests to spend an additional 40 bucks. I told her that we have a party of six, and we are 6 dollars away from spending 120. She said it doesn't work this way and that we must add an additional 40 bucks to the order. WTF? All said and done, we bumped in to a few more friends and had a party of 8. At the end of the night, my bill was close to $500 bucks. To the management... I understand that you guys get plenty of wannabe baller guests that bring 15 friends and only insist on ordering one hookah. This is not an excuse to hassle your guests though. Start preauthorizing credit cards for the minimums and you'll get way better ratings on yelp. I'd love to come back, but you guys need to address your internal issues first. On a side note, the DJ here was awesome. The FCUK bowls were incredible and so were the huge margaritas. We ordered several buckets of beers all of which were very reasonably priced. The "mid grade" hookahs here are garbage ($20 each).

Originally gave this place 3 stars. My second time here and they blew me away. Service was definitely better this time around. What's up with the bouncers? They're always so lively and friendly at this place. Not complaining! Tried a premium hookah this time around with the pineapple head. Lasted a long time and they were prompt with the coal refills. They also had a belly dancer and EVERYONE was into her. Plus, the chandelier on her head deserves 5 stars on its own. Got my free shot for checking in The music was on point and the crowd was just having a good old time. Definitely recommend this spot.

This place is a small and laid back, just the way I like it. I would feel comfortable coming in here dressed down and ready to relax. I usually come with my girlfriends to have a few drinks and some cheap hookah. The music they play is great and the happy hour specials are pretty decent. I didn't like the fact that they needed to hold a credit card and ID for our bill on a regular Tuesday night, I may be paranoid but with the amount of credit card fraud I don't need someone holding on to all of the information they need to steal my identity unless I am ordering several hundreds of dollars worth of stuff. The waitress was pretty much non existent - so that was super annoying.

Came to this place when it 1st opened, staff was great and on point. Now it's a hole, waited 20mins for a beer the hooks pipes were unclean. Asked the hostess for the beer i ordered 20mins ago and she has an attitude. Seem like this place can't keep a reg staff.. Always changing. Needless to say I'll never be back.

This place is horrible. Went there Saturday night and they told us there is a $20 minimum per person. The place looks horrendous, there should be no minimum for a place that looks this shitty. I'm sure their hookahs are bad also. Stay away and go to a better hookah spot.

Not for nothing , but if your going to put a sign outside that says $1 hooka with a purchase of a fishbowl you should follow up on it , false advertising at the door, and then the lady tells us never come back=rude employees working at your business Sebastion , i dont have close to a money problem but i dont like when people try to hustle you ,horrible night never again sorry

I came back here with a friend the other night and definitely was not a fan of their service. First of all, they had a sign out front in huge letters saying "Happy Hour All Night, $1 Hookah!" such false advertisement because when we came in and asked the server, she explained it was if you buy the $40 fishbowl. Word? There was another board that mentioned it, but in fine print facing the other way - Get your boards together! Second, we took advantage of the Fayrooz Lounge Points where you text the number and get a free shot. The waitress took FOREVER to bring us that one free shot and it was far from busy. How rude just because it was free, smh. I'm not a fan of this place anymore and will be looking for another hookah spot in the vicinity.

The hookahs are definitely a lot less strong recently. The smoke is super light and the hookahs die pretty quick. They have a decent variety of flavors. The drinks are okay, but the service is a little less than okay. The waitress that helped us at first did not come back for almost 40 minutes. We had to flag down another waitress to get a drink refill. And the guy with the coal was nowhere to be found. The bouncers at this place are awesome. They are always happy, friendly and lively and are very courteous even as you leave.

My friends got there a bit earlier than me, I arrived to the place around midnight and this place was going hard! I usually avoid steinway because i'm not much of a fan anymore, but man did I have a good time here. DJ Johnny seriuss was holding it down. Music was flowing people were smoking & drinking and overall having a good time. I had a group of about 8-10 people and we just had a good time. Only problem is that sometimes it gets a bit crowded there and theres not much space to really dance if you're feeling like it but other than that, this is a dope spot to chill and basically turn up/have fun with your friends. We had multiple fuck bowls (drink it before you go wtf) and several bucket of beer. Hookah was eh. Overall had a great night when we went.

this place is special to my heart because the first time when I ever smoked flavored hookah was at this placed that why i am giving it 3 stares. i went to this place for more then 2 years. but on my recent visit after a long time to this place I realized this place has completely changed. hookah and services are decent but on weekends its over crowed and things are little over priced. little to dark and loud in there and to many teenagers. its not the vibe i remember.

I have been coming to this place for about three years or so. I have never had a problem here. Aside from the dude taking a little too long to change the coal, everything has always been a ok for me. My bestie and I usually went here on Thursdays. We decided to go on a Wednesday. We arrived around 8pm. The music was so loud, I couldn't hear myself think. It wasn't the DJ, it was the Pandora they play on the ipad. I asked the waitress to make it a little bit lower, because it was "club" loud and this is a lounge, not a club. She said that the DJ will be arriving in about a half hour and the music would end up being loud anyway. I told her to forget it, then. The DJ arrived in two hours, mind you. The DJ was good. He kept playing half the songs, though. I don't get that. If you're playing a song, play the whole song, not a third of it or half of it. Just when I start enjoying a song, it gets switched. I have many DJ friends and they don't DJ like that. It's not about how many songs you play, it's about what songs you play and for how long. Also, this is a lounge, not a club. It was a Wednesday, not Friday or Saturday. There has to be some consideration for people who don't want music blasting so loud that they can't hear themselves think or have a conversation with the people they came there with. The music blasting was a disappointment. I wish that DJ played in some club and the full length of the songs. I would definitely go to dance. He was a good mixer, too. Anyway, the happy hour drinks were basically water. I had three margaritas and felt absolutely nothing. If I knew they were going to be so watery, I wouldn't have bothered with the happy hour. I don't go there for the happy hour, anyway. My friend's apple martini tasted like apple juice. I have to say, the food is always excellent. We had french fries and an assorted platter with chicken fingers, wings and mozzarella stick. Always tastes good and the french fries are amazing. If I had to rate this place on the food, it would be five stars. We decided to get a hookah later in the night. It was very weak compared to the way it used to be (we haven't been there in a year or so). We ordered a regular apple hookah and it tasted like licorice. Try and figure that one out. The guy changing the coal took way too long. In my opinion, they are under staffed for the amount of people that go there and amount of service that is needed. Mind you, I am very low maintenance, but I do expect some things to be done in a timely manner. I shouldn't have to wait a half hour for my drink to be filled or just about that long for the coal to be replaced. I had to move the coal around with a celery stick to get as much out of that hookah as humanly possible. The tall security fellow was the most pleasant presence in that place. He was very nice and helpful. I used to go on Thursdays and there was a brunette waitress that worked on those days. I don't know if she is there anymore, but I would definitely only go when she is working. She was attentive and was nice enough to show her appreciation for the amount of things we ordered, by providing some shots for us. A little bit goes a long way. I am normally a very very good tipper, but I am disappointed to say that I didn't tip well this time. I think this is the first time in my life that I actually didn't tip well. I just can't tip someone well for a poor job. I did use a yelp deal with this place, so I did save some money, but it just wasn't as good an experience as I would have like it to be.

I came to this a few times with mixed experiences, however, each time worse than the last. Everything about this place is decent, at best but their service wins awards for being the worst and nonexistent. I cannot ever recommend this place to anyone that I like. Hookah: Decent flavors, on par quality with the rest of the strip. Regular and premium flavors available eith a variety of bases. Smoke isn't as thick as can be. Price is within range of other lounges. Drinks: Variety of drinks with liquor and beer choices. I enjoyed their cocktails. Venue: Nice decor, themed during holidays. The placr can get packed and they sometimes sit you in close contact with other parties. No places to put your coats and belongings, and with a hookah nearby, soace becomes tight. Music: I went one a Sunday once and a DJ was playing. We thoroughly enjoyed the music he was playing. The other times they had music playing too loud to talk. If you want a place to talk to friends, you probably should look eslewhere since the music is too loud for conversations. Service: This is the worst I've ever experienced in any hookah establishment. Their bad service trumps all other positive aspects of Fayrooz. Two out of three times, we weren't looked at for after 20 minutes of being seated. No menu, no glance, nothing. The plqce wasn't even busy... in fact, the waitress was walking up and down the establishment talking to the bouncers for a while, telling stories, going behind the bar and talking to someone else. Both times we were literally ignored. How can you treat customers like this at all Fayrooz? My soft spoken girlfriend had to go up to her and ask for menus. While the drinks were good, hookah was okay, we had issues with the service like none other. We also asked for our checks but were not met with them. Again we had to go up to the bar and ask them for it. I honestly think the girl was drunk or at the very least incompetent. Fayrooz also had offered free shots if you liked them on your social media account or something, but we weren't accommodated with them until prompted much later. The best part of all (really just a slap in the face) was that gratuity is included in your bill. I guess the waitresses have no motivation to treat you in anyway other than a burden. I am never going back ro Fayrooz until management changes hands.

Only giving a star because I have to. This place is horrendous. It is filled with con artists and nasty people. Our bill came out to 700 dollars and we didn't get half of what was included in their "package". At the end, when we confronted the waitress about it and she got really nasty and threatened to call the cops. Not to mention there was a $100 service charge added when the service sucked. There was bugs everywhere it was so dirty. Hookah was overpriced and not even worth it, and not to mention that was a separate $200. DO NOT GO HERE.

I always have a good time here but they are expensive. The last time I was here it was for a friend's birthday. There was a group of about 15 of us at the back table by the DJ booth. I had to leave the party early because of work in the morning, so I asked the waitress if I could pay her for the couple drinks that I had. She said no, she can't separate the bill. Ok, I work at a restaurant, I understand that. So then I asked for a copy of the bill so I could see how much my drinks were & pay the appropriate person in my group. She printed the bill and almost EVERYTHING was rang in as open liquor! Like 30 open liquor charges of random amounts with NO description of what we were actually being charged for! How on earth am I supposed to know how much my drinks cost?? It seemed really shady & now we were all drunk trying to do math... not the best combo. Not going to be in any hurry to come back to this place after that experience...

This review is based on my experience on halloween 2013. I went with a group of people and they accommodate us real quick. They asked for a credit card to secure the table. We were skeptical but we provide one. Hooka n drinks were ok. Little bit expensive but whatever it was halloween. Little man will come and change charcoal often so It was good. Dj played good songs but there was no space for dancing. Bathroom was beyond gross. They had a costume contest. All the contestants did a run way n model their costumes, I find that cute! At the end of the night the waitress took forever to bring us the check. We end up paying cash at the bar since waitress was no where to be found. We forgot to ask for the credit card. Too drunk! Lol We had to come the following day to pick he credit card up and I they had hundreds of cards. I find that ackward, I wonder if it is even legal but whatever we got our card n left. Fayrooz till the next time!

VOID IT IF YOU CAN! CREDIT CARD INFO WAS STOLEN FROM HERE! My friend found this place online and it seemed nice enough. The place is small and low-key which was nice since it was Sunday. The minute we walked in we noticed there was no one there to greet us. We went to sit towards the back and the server(blonde lady) gave us a dirty look and told us we could sit there but the specials were only available in the front. Once we sat she came over a few minutes later and told us she NEEDED a card and I.D to start a tab that we never asked to start. The drinks and hookah were great but the service was no good! She ignored us at times, took forever to bring the next round, and didn't bother to remove the empty glasses from the table. She had a nasty attitude and was not attentive at all! She then hands me the bill which was SOAKED with something, completely disgusting!! I paid got out of there didn't this much of it. Until my credit card company shut down my account a few days later!

If I had to go to a hookah lounge I would go here again. The music was nice. Only reason why they didn't get 5 stars is because I know for a fact the drinks was WATERED DOWN!! I am a light weight drinker and if I have to order more than 4 drinks.....That's a problem. But I caught happy hour. I'm not really trippin. But if I had paid full price...they would have gotten one star...

WARNING: BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR MICS. CHARGES Love the environment but the place is expensive. Also, i feel like they enjoy scamming customers because one time when i went in i was NOT told that certain seatings were for happy hour and some were NOT. When we got the bill we almost fell off our seats. They said sorry the lady should have told you about the seating.. and we still had to pay the full price.... MIND YOU there were still happy hour seats available............ Another time we went in and when we were ready to pay our bills i noticed a strange ADDITIONAL CHARGE on my bill. When i asked about it i was told it was for a belly dancer that was about to perform.. MIND YOU i did not ask to see her AND she came when were about to pay our bill!!!! So, of course, we stayed to watch the belly dancer perform. She was talented and we enjoyed it but was it necessary to put it on our bill WITHOUT ASKING? OR, at least inform us that we had to pay so we could stay and watch.

We're now in July and I still have no complaints about this hooka bar. I've gone again a few times and I still love it. Yesterday I finally caught the happy hour and the prices are amazing. I love the drink specials and I love the names of their drinks as well. Lol Also, because the waitress there knows my face, she always puts music that I enjoy for me when I walk in. I think that's pretty awesome of her. Thanks a lot!!! Love this place. I shall return. ::thumbs up:: :-D

Horrible service. Went here last night with my boyfriend and at first glance it was great. We ordered drinks, the mango flavored hookah and some cheese sticks for a snack because we were starving. About 50 minutes had passed and we still didn't have our food. My boyfriend had to flag the waitress down to ask about them and she said she forgot (Okay, no big deal). He asked her if we could get them to go instead because we wanted to leave soon and she said sure. Another 10 minutes passes and we get our cheese sticks in a to go container. The waitress drops them off and disappears in the back room. We kept looking around until another 10 minutes had passed. She came out from hiding to talk to one table then went back in the back. 10 more minutes pass and we are still waiting for our check yet there is no sign of our waitress. My boyfriend had to stand next to the kitchen entry and wait for her to ask for our check. Once he gets ahold of her, she drops our check off, walks away and starts texting on her phone (We have been waiting at least 35 minutes to leave now and our food is cold). My boyfriend has to get up again, walk towards the kitchen and remind her that she already has our credit card and we would like to pay now. (Upon first sitting down they take your ID and credit card to hold your table) 40 minutes later and we can finally leave...feeling annoyed with a bag of cold cheese sticks. It's unfortunate how absolutely horrible and inattentive the service (or lack of) is because it has potential to be a really fun place.

First off place is alright ,just seating is complicated ,hookah isn't that good ,drink out of 10 I give it 6 .menu is very confusing drinks say add a shot so you pick a shot for 3 dollars ,they actually charge me full price for a fire ball shot 8 dollars -___- I ask the server she says only house shots are 3 dollars so why don't you state that in writing on the menu that says 3 dollar for a shot .another thing that kills you is service charge it's like 20 dollars . The only thing I liked was the owner and music in the place that's about it.

This is my go to hookah lounge, definitely try the blue mist flavor with milk and mango juice. Music is always on point here, but the staff could be better they can be rude sometimes. Sangria is also good, check in on yelp get a free shooter. They no longer honor the $35 for $50 deal.

This review might be skewed because I was pretty (read: extremely) turnt up when I got here so here goes. We had the Skittles flavor for hookah and it leaves this sweet after taste. Biddies love it, it's great for people who don't like it too harsh. Here's where it gets hazy. I think the check-in special resulted in tequila shot #1. Then the yelp deal resulted in several pitchers of really dank sangria. LOVE the DJ that was there on Friday night, he had me dancing like a fool whenever everyone else be sitting down. The staff here knows how to chill and they take great care to make sure you're all having fun.

They did not honor their free hookah with your yelp review. The waitress wanted to claim that there was a drink minimum and when i showed her the happy hour menu she said read the regular menu but that we should order an expensive hookah at a discounted price

Expecting to meet my "friend" lol at a certain time but him running late as usual, I used a lot free time to explore Steinway and happened to come by Fayrooz. Since I hadn't checked the place out before, there was a decent crowd there, hence I thought this could be a place worth checking out. From the ID check outside to the minute we walked out, all I have to say is, this establishment has some great hosting skills with making sure the patrons are having a good time. The servers made their frequent check-ins along with the coal being checked on throughout the visit. Being a friday night, there was a $20 min I believe, which can easily be met with drinks and hookah. The hookah options are plenty and I opted for the skittles in a fruit bowl. It was my first time trying the flavor and I did enjoy it. The smoothies are a great option with the Hookah and i went with the mango smoothie. I forgot the flavor my friend ordered but he did like it. The ambience is nice with some great music, which isn't too loud to deafen the conversations and overall the experience was enjoyable. I do believe it was a pricier option than some other hookah bars in the area, but it was worth for the hospitality delivered by them.

I came here with my coworkers for my bday and I loved it. I enjoyed the music , the party atmosphere. However, I did not like the $20-25 minimum charger per person and the place was cramped. Other than that I really enjoyed myself last night

This place has an awesome happy hour. The people that work here are friendly, the ambience is dope. Great spot for dates,my favorite hookah spot in astoria doesn't serve drinks so I come here to chat up the ladies who work here, while I plot my plan for world domination. I like coming here around 6:30-7 to beat the madness. Enjoy

Why can't you give 0 stars? This place sucks ass. They charge you gratitude automatically.. Then ask for a tip after.. The hookah is ok.. They charge 10$ for a shot in a regular cup and 8 dollars for a shot..(rip off) music suck.. Need a new DJ...

So i went here last night already tipsy, looking forward to some good blue mist hookah. The hookah done yesterday lasted a lot longer then i expected and was done perfectly , not too strong with the perfect amount of coal. The hookah was done quick and was very clean. I also got a free shot of tequila when i checked in woohoo! And they have good deals like large neon martinis to share, free hookah on your bday and free shots whenn you sign up for their points rewards program, i also saw they had happy hour on their menu but it ends at 9 so thats way too early for me lol! The dj here played a really good rap reggaeton and dancehall mixed i was really happy to see a new dj finally! For a sunday night it was chilled out not too empty or too crowded. The long island iced tea i ordered was way too strong, at least the friendly blonde bartender ive seen for years has remained friendly and generous. I also liked the security guard who was very friendly and not too headstrong like other security in this area acting like they run the place. I would definetly come back here again :)

Ok, they get one star from me because the music and the vibe were good here, but everything was horrible. We came here last night for some late night hookah and finger food. The bouncers at the door told us that there would be a minimum of $20 purchase per person, sounded reasonable enough so we went in. This is where things went downhill. So first, the three of us were seated at a small table for two, and we were told the two sit on the couch and the single person would sit on the chair. Ok, we are good friends, so no issues with sitting super close. The waitress then came around to take our order. So we wanted to start with an appetizer each and then decide on the hookah and the drinks. The waitress then reminded us about the $20 minimum charge, and said that we had to order at least $20 each right away. Really??? Suppose we are taking a little time to decide? Or, suppose we want to do shots all night? But even then we were going to stick around just because my friends had just driven 4 hours from out of town and really just wanted to relax. Then came the punch line, "we have to hold an ID and a credit card until you close out the check". WHAT??? Where are we again? Seriously, this is a neighborhood "lounge" in Astoria Queens, and we are three normal looking women who all appear to be employed, really??? This is when we decided that we had had it with this place, and kindly told the waitress that we would not stay and walked down to another real lounge with a dance floor and had ourselves a good time. So, Needless to say, never coming back and do not recommend to anyone who cares if they are treated with respect .
