Went again a few days ago for lunch. This time I got galbi with soup which can be either soon doo boo (spicy tofu soup) or den jang jjigeh (korean miso soup). I chose the den jang jjigeh and my brother chose soon doo boo. My mom got jay yuk dopsol bibimbap (bibimbap with spicy pork served in a hot stone bowl). All the food was fantastic save for the soon doo boo. It was pretty lacking in flavor and tasted like any store bough soon doo boo. The galbi portions were a tad bit smaller than what I remembered them to be which made me sad. Overall, still good but wish they were a bit more consistent with portion size. I forgot to mention in my last review, lunch hours are from 11:30-3:30 PM

Go to baek jung. You don't have to read the rest of it. Just don't go here you'll be disappointed if you are expecting something like other korean restaurants. Their side dish changed They used to serve lot of jjigae (soybean stew) But their jjigae is served in a very small pot like an appetizer The one in manhattan serves with steamed egg But this place don't I went there the same time which was dinner time. I thought they were chains -Was I wrong? And the servers pretty nice but unprofessional when it's busy We had to wait ages to call a server to give us the menu I guess they forgot about us They don't seem to like 2 customers 4 customer sitted next to us were served very quick and servers had lot of attention while our bbq got burnt Price is okay but I'd go to baek jung for this price which is less than a mile away from this place At least they serve more side dishes and their grateful size of jjigae never changed The reason I give 2 stars is hoping they change and learn from other great korean restaurants and pretty nice music. Nothing else

Clean Classic Quick Korean BBQ What used to be a neighborhood landmark McDonalds is a Korean BBQ joint. I like the classic motif and decor cause you feel like you just stepped into pre-industrial Korea. The menu has photos which is friendly for non-Korean customers. They have different USDA quality cuts of meat. They differentiate the USDA Prime from the regular cuts. However, they don't indicate if its choice, select, or standard. The prime does definitely stand out in flavor. The "everything meat special" is large enough for two people, three small children. It comes with thinly sliced brisket, Thicker cut rib eye steak which Koreans call "Deung Shim," regular kalbi, and prime Kalbi. Don't be alarmed because the portions don't look like much but when it is grilled and cut by your expert grill master and eaten properly with all the accompaniments; you will be satisfied. The standout cut was definitely the prime short ribs, "Kal Bi." The prime Kal Bi melts in your mouth like butter. They provide all the necessities such as a dipping station with fermented soy bean paste and sesame oil, and salt. I like that they let you decide how much salt you want in your sauce. The onion were sliced thinly and the marinade had just the right amount of sweetness and tang. The steamed egg was good and I could taste the shrimp paste in there. The fermented soy bean stew or "Dwen Jang Jji Gae" wasn't too bad either. They had little baby squids and zucchinis in there too. The greens were fresh and the daikons were as well. The best side I appreciated was the pickled jalapenos. The service was quick and efficient. Our grill master didn't rush and waited till we finished the alrready cooked portions before grilling up some more meat. In other K' BBQ restaurants, the grill master tends to grill everything quickly but that often results in cold and flavorless meat. The side dishes were replenished upon request. It would be nice if they'd be refilled without asking. All in all, my first experience at Jong Ro was a good one and I will be back for more.

Pros: Excellent meat, which they slice to order. Banchan quality was good. Nice decor, great choice in music ('90's KPOP!). Very clean: bathrooms were immaculate. Nice parking lot. Cons: Really subpar with regards to the number of banchan (only kimchi, a weak pasta salad, lettuce, scallion salad, and onions). The latter three I would not even really consider banchan. Service is hovering and way too intrusive. Poor table layout, with a smoke vent which blocks both sightlines and food items. Pricer than its bbq competitors in the area. Other notes: Average portion sizes for the meat. Decent alcohol selection. Really no other Korean dishes to speak of besides meats and stews.

Ordered unmarinated prime Kalbi and a tofu soup. Cant believe the soup doesn't come with a bowl of rice. Staff seem friendly but not attentive. The prime Kalbi tasted great. Side dishes werent plentiful, just kimchi, and macaroni in mayo, sliced onions in soy sauce, and lettuce to wrap meat with. No steamed egg or anything else... Price is what you expect at a korean place $$$ I tried it because its a new place but I wouldn't recommend this place, no stand out signature dishes here.. and no liquor license so you cant drink while eating korean bbq.. Oh and the mens bathroom smelled like a homeless man was living in there, the floor was wet near the urinal and the toilet.

I'm going to do this in two parts - one for the food and one for the ridiculous store policy that they have about alcohol. Part One: Food was okay, but a bit overpriced. The cuts were good and the meat was fresh, but the portions are smaller than other restaurants in the area. They don't have many side dishes. I was given a small dish of macaroni salad and a pot of steamed egg that they cook in front of you. All in all, the food fetches this place a 3.5. HOWEVER. Let me tell you about this mind boggling store policy they have about alcohol. I almost never write terrible, scathing reviews about places but when I heard this policy at the table I was halfway through composing this piece. We were a party of three, clearly young adults and there to simply enjoy a meal. My boyfriend (who is 29) wanted a beer with his meal, because who doesn't love alcohol and meat? He orders a SINGLE bottle of beer and our entire table is carded. We were told that unless we all showed ID, no one would be able to drink. I was baffled. The server told us it was "the law," and that's how he was trained. I requested a manager to clarify, because I have worked restaurants and bars for almost 10 years without ever hearing of this law. The manager refused to come to the table the first time. When I insisted, he came and stated it was store policy. So when I asked if they card everyone at the table when it's clearly a family with the parents drinking, he simply said, "No," and walked away. WALKED AWAY. How does this make sense? If the policy is to card everyone at a table ordering alcohol, then they should uphold it to all tables - not pick and choose based on how someone looks or acts. This is age and appearance discrimination, people. IT WAS JUST A FREAKING BEER. NYC has dram shop laws; restaurants are not required to card everyone at the table if only one person orders alcohol. So don't BS me and say that it's the law. I would've let it go - because honestly, it was just a beer - but the manager's rude AF attitude (possibly because I wasn't speaking Korean by choice) ticked me off. And of course, when I'm walking out of the restaurant I see a table with several adults and people of all ages chilling with alcohol on the table. DID YOU CARD THEM ALL AND REFUSE, JONGRO? I THINK NOT. I'll be taking my business to KHD Baekjeong down the street because their food is better, cheaper, and the servers are a heck of a lot more accommodating.

Fresh meat. Seafood pancake here is to die for. Best one I have had yet. The marinated meat is not as good as the original so go for the freshness.

Disappointing! Came here for lunch a few days ago with some relatives because we wanted to try the new Korean BBQ joint in Flushing. Almost everything about this place was disappointing. We had 6 people to our group, but 2 were running late so we decided to order 4 servings of marinated short ribs to start. The side dishes that came out were a meager portion of macaroni salad and kimchi. When we asked them for some steamed egg, we were told that they only start serving that after 5pm (fine, somewhat understandable). When the meat finally arrived, all you saw was a small pile of beef scraps. We asked our waitress if what we got was equal to 4 servings, she asked and confirmed that it was. Focusing on the "short rib" we ordered. That wasn't fn short rib. I've thought about what cut it could be but couldn't figure it out. The only thing my family and I agreed on was that it most certainly was not short rib. The meat was EXTREMELY tough and inconsistently "marinated." How can you try to pass off serving some strange cut of meat/scraps for short rib?? Anyway, the story continues... It seemed like they were trained to grill the beef for you themselves, so she started placing the beef on the grill. she placed 8 small pieces on the grill and walked away. Mind you, there were four of us sitting there. While she was away, my cousin and I decided to turn some of the pieces over when she returned and asked us to stop and explained that it was her job to work the grill. She eventually gave up after a few times because we took it upon ourselves to cook our food. Given her poor performance as a waitress/attendant, our food would have burnt. When we asked for some rice, she explained that rice is charged separately. Because of this, we held off from ordering at that time. Apparently they only give rice to the tables that order the Set menu. I had also ordered some naengmyun, when it came, they did not bring the vinegar nor mustard to the table. when tasting the broth, it seemed like they already put some vinegar in it. The naengmyun was probably the best thing we had there. While all this was happening, the remaining two of our group had joined us and ordered some stew. Now, I figured, if you order stew, a side of rice would accompany it. I was wrong. 2 soybean stews were ordered. What ended up on the table didn't look like look, smell, or taste like soybean stew. My relatives considered ordering the unmarinated beef set to try and salvage our experience but I didn't want us to spend another penny at this place. We ended up going to MeKong afterward to fill our stomachs.

This place is awesome . Their meat is tender and they also have a lunch menu until 3pm. The servers are friendly and quick.

You know. I read a ton of reviews about the service. This was by far the worst service i have ever received. I really don't understand it. I couldnt get someone to bring me the check.

Their food is good. But they do not know how to care their guest. I think they do not care about it. I heard many time from my friends, their service are bad. So i did not want to come here to eat. But i just tried one time in lunch time. When i went here, i saw booth that they decorate as korean style pop. I asked i could seat at booth. They replied i cannot because i went there only two people. It was okay. I seated wherever. I ordered two sirloin dishes. I loved it. But cold noodle was soso. So i visited here second time. It was terrible experience ever. I ordered pork this time. But i found something on my pork. So i asked my waiter about that gently. He looked it up and did not say nothing. I did not want many things. But he did not even say SORRY. he looked like he do not care about the guests. It was really bad experience to me. And i am not going to recommand here to my other friends.

I went there during lunch hour. The server was rude after he took our order twice but he still got it wrong. They have a bell on each table to ring your server but no one responded to our ring twice. Food was also too spicy and too salty for my taste. Very disappointed...

My old McDonald's is gone and has been replaced by Jongro. The decor is very retro, I do like it; this might actually be the cleanest KBBQ I've ever been in. Their playlist is all 90s KPop, good stuff. The food here is good, there was nothing that particular blew my mind but the quality of the meat is excellent. Got the beef tartare or yukhoe. This is one of the better quality ones I've had, I'm still not a lover of this particular dish but that's me. It's definitely done better than the other places I've tried it. Got the beef set as per recommendation and a side of pork belly. All of the beef was very high quality, just was hoping for more sauce or flavor. The pork belly was awesome though.

Love the interior design. Good service (sometimes have to press bell at least once for waiters to come) excellent food and good prices. Ordered the marinated beef platter and pork belly for a party of 4.

My first experience going to Jongro BBQ was great. The food wasdelicious and the service was quick. The waitress were courteous to us. I really enjoyed my time there and I definitely want to go back for the scrumptious beef.

So an update to my review from Saturday night.. Manager sent me a message apologizing for the waiters yesterday.. I still stand by my comment that the usage of the service bell is pretty much useless. I flagged a busboy and told him I wanted to speak to a waiter. The busboy saw how irritated I looked and literally ran and grabbed hold of the first waiter he saw. I feel like I practically screamed at that waiter telling him what's the point of having a bell or having a bunch of waiters when no one comes to take our order. He apologized and told us that because it was so busy, all the waiters were occupied helping someone (I wish I took a picture cause the place was 1/3 empty and a different waiter came to help the table next to us twice, but didn't even glance at us). After that "small" incident, we had waiters stopping at our table every 20 minutes to offer more side dishes and extra service. For four people, we ordered at least $200 worth of food. I recommend the marinated kalbi, and pork jowl. Three stars for the effort and trying to correct their mistake afterwards

Service: The restaurant was hectic and busy when we got there but was seated few minutes later and the waiters were polite and attentive. Value: We ordered about $200 worth of beef and pork combo but left hungry. It was disappointing that we ordered this much but the portion was so small. Taste: Taste is decent at best. the marinated bbq rib is not great and can be made at home. nothing really special there. Combo beef is just combo beef. Pork belly tastes decent but i had better. Nothing special about bbq. The cold noodle was pretty cheap for the bowl but it's not the best cold noodle i tasted, it was pretty good for the price. Environment: It is very noisy and hectic. I liked it but my parents hated it. It's definitely not a place where you can sit down and have nice relaxing family dinner. It's more for friends gathering up for dinner and drinks. Yes, they carded everyone although some people did not order alcohol. I know it is the policy and I fully understand it so i didnt mind carding us. Jihyun K. obviously do not know what she is talking about because lots of places do this, especially in Flushing. Event: I came here for my birthday and my sister brought a surprise cake. it was definitely a surprise because they shut off all the lights, blasting birthday music and all waiters came to sing happy birthday. it was very embarrassing but pleased that they did it. Overall, I want to give this restaurant more chances but havent got back since April. It's not exceptional but i'm sure it will get better. However, I wouldnt spend $200 for a this little quantity though.

The beef it self is fairly tender and the price not so bad but nothing so delicious to want to come back. When a korean restaurant tries to charge you for more side dishes or rice, you know this business wont last long. surprisingly there are lots of servers and not too many customers and yet the servers arent too attentive. Skip the nengmyun or any other dish because its not that great. The only thing I gound memorable was the bathroom for handicapped customers. It reads DISABLED ROOM..

Alright so I ended up coming back here last week to celebrate my brother's birthday, and maybe my first visit came on an off day because the meat was noticeably different. But the stars remain the same. Let's get through this quickly, shall we? 1. the yookhae (beef tartar) - think of (what you hope is) a higher quality cut of beef, marinated in the standard sesame and soy sauce mix, but raw. With a raw egg. It's something I loved as a child (because I was a fatty fat fat child), and Jongro did it well. My only issues with the dish were that the portion was pretty small, and the meat to chopped onion ratio was dangerously close to 1:1. I love onion, but.... jeez. Delicious though! If you've never tried it, this is one of the few places in Queens that still do it. 2. a meat combo thing - I'm sorry, I know, this is a terrible description, but it was a family dinner, so naturally mother took control of the menu. It was their marinated galbi, galbi ssal and a steak (straight up, a steak). The meat was noticeably better this second time around as the flavor was closer to what I had hoped it would be. 3. Kimchi Jjigae - You will never find me ordering kimchi jjigae because I strongly feel it's one of those dishes you make at home, and not waste money on at a restaurant, but we needed a stew, so we ordered it. I didn't love it and I didn't hate it. I was relieved to see that they didn't mess up such an easy dish. So I enjoyed the meat more this time around (that's what she said), but why the same 3 star rating? I feel like the restaurant is still lacking. Even the fact that my sister-in-law knows the operations manager couldn't get the experience to what I've grown accustomed to from the other Korean BBQ restaurants in the area. The wait staff was disinterested and lackadaisical, and the side dishes are still an issue for me. Not great in either variety or taste. Sticking to my guns.

Summary: Great food, excellent service. For birthdays, they take a group photo and print it out for you along with a gift set. I came here last night with my family for my sister's birthday. We were seated right away and the food came out shortly after we ordered. We had the kimchi pancake and the seafood pancake as appetizers - both delicious. We had two beef and two pork platters. We also ordered three lunch boxes, which were spicy fried rice. They kept my cake in the fridge, put candles on it and played the birthday song in the entire restaurant. I'm glad I had to opportunity to embarrass my sister - I mean celebrate. Thank you Jongro BBQ for an amazing dining experience! We'll be back.

What used to be a McDonald's, now turned into a Korean BBQ joint! Who would've ever thought. Because of that, my mother and I decided to check this place out. We ordered the USDA Prime Ribeye and the USDA Prime Kalbi, which is supposedly better quality meat. The portion was the right amount of food. We weren't full, only content. (However, we did not order rice). The restaurant was hectic, busy and loud, which is not necessarily a bad thing...just very good business. The service and server specifically was on point. She literally came every 10 seconds to flip the meat and to see how we liked our meat (medium rare). However, nothing really stood out to me but at the same time, nothing bad or negative about this restaurant. 2 people for $71 before tips.

This place has good decoration, but their food is just ok. My friends and I went there for a friend's birthday dinner. Their BBQ and other food are just so-so. The only thing that was outstanding was their beef tartare. This was my first time trying beef tartare, and most of us were impressed and satisfied with it. It's also the only thing that we were really impressed by this place. (And it's probably why I'm giving it a three stars instead of two) After the dinner, one of us asked the waiter to bring the cakes we brought for the birthday girl. We waited for a much longer time than we expected. In the end, we had to ask for them again and it seems like they forgot our request!! Given so many choices of Korean BBQ in the neighborhood, I think this place is pretty expense for what we get, and it's definitely not my #1 choice to go for Korean BBQ.

This place is not very tasty. Then pro is that it's cheap! Tried their pork belly and marinated kalbi. Pork tasted better but just still only ok. True that it's really lacking in the Bon-chon. I disagree with there being more quality over quantity here. Just very lacking. I enjoyed the bibim namyum tho (cold spicy noodles). Sauce was great in that but... Barely any toppings. Excellent decor, picnic style. Spotty service despite the service bell. Soy bean soup was pretty good, had that nice miso taste. Would not return, but good for young kids looking to try Korean BBQ with friends

Came here with friends from Colombia. They and I looooooved it. We got pork belly, pork, and beef premium. It was juicy, soft, with the perfect texture. Just enough fat to coat the perfect slice of heaven. We also got a purple(?) rice each and ate allll of it. I told my guests to eat this like tacos. They got the idea. We all ate like kings. The waiter knew we were hungry so everything came so fast. Definitely coming back.

The staff was amazing and so was the food. The place reminded me of the fun little restaurants in Hongdae and Sinchon area of Seoul. Granted the prices were different but I can say it was definitely worth it. I came here to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday and our waitress was extremely accommodating and even help me light my dad's birthday cake. We got the marinated beef platter and pork platter. It was delicious and we will be back again and again.

Tried Jongro BBQ today of late lunch, there wasn't to many customers. I guess they are still waiting for their liquor license. Their menu is set up for drinks but, they couldn't serve an alcoholic beverages. We tried ordering the marinated pork short rib, but they didn't have any, so I ordered the pork belly and pork gel. I also saw something on the menu that I haven't seen before " shrimp and egg stew", I decided to try it. It was quite tasty, only problem was I only found 4 small baby shrimp, it also had thinly cut dry squid, a little sea legs, and a little rice cake. The banchan was a macaroni salad, soy sauce onions and pepper, shredded scallions with bean sprouts, and baby romaine lettuce. Mainly because of the bbq we ordered. The BBQ was ok, not filling, good for the price. Service was good, a little wait for the food to come out.

Great service, great food and nice retro interior. We tried pork belly and cold noodles. meats are Fresh and taste good. pork was very juice and tender. pork belly price was fair ($17.99). we ordered two! its six pcs. cold noodles are taste really bad. it has no flavor. i didnt like it at all, not worth of money. i got disappointed, they charged for egg pot, rice and dont even serve soybean soup (den jang jji gae). Usually its complementary side in other korean bbq restaurant. Basicly no side dishes like any other korean restaurant. when you order this is what you get with meat. Lettuce(ssam), mayo-pasta salad, kimch, pickled onion, scallion salad and some sauce for meat. they serve you little portion, so ask more then they will give you. *this is not place for kid or baby. there is no food for them. and high chair for the baby isnt safe for them. it very loose.

The layout is well-thought out and evokes images of classical Korea. The use of wood throughout the restaurant evokes a rustic feel which complements the food. The lunch meat + soup combo is money. Speaking of which, it is good value. The food is good and the service is spectacular. Very accommodating to my requests.

What used to be a McD for the longest time, it's now the new Jongro BBQ. I like the decor in and out. It has a laid back, earthy and semi-private setting all around. We didn't have to wait long for Sunday--7.30pm seating, before we got a text msg that our table was ready. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. However, I had mixed feelings about the food. Like--good quality ribeye used for bbq. Dislikes--limited side dishes and bland "marinated kalbi". Although the price of each bbq dish is about the same as any other Korean BBQ restaurants, the overall serving of food (variety of side dishes) is definitely less here. In other words, I'm not getting the most for my bucks.

Go to Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong instead. I was very unimpressed with Jongro's food and service. My gf and I got the first beef set assuming the meat would be fresh and they would provide an appetizing dipping sauce but neither was the case. At KHDBJ, I think the price point is a bit higher but they provide a variety of marinated and unmarinated meat in addition to a better dipping sauce and a larger portion! To top it off, we had to ask the servers multiple times to get the complimentary kimchi jigae. They kept telling us it would be an extra charge and we had to remind them numerous times that we had ordered the set and we're supposed to get it for free. Restaurants and Korean restaurants in particular, treat their customers extra special when they first open up to impress and this was a big reason why I checked Jongro out but with unimpressive portions and mediocre service, I highly doubt I'll return. The only reason I give two stars is because of the decor. What a shame.

My friends and I were here last weekend. One of the main draw for this place was the big parking lot. It is really difficult to find a parking space near other Flushing restaurants and I am not a much fan of handing over my keys to a valet. We had a pork set with different parts of a pig. It was much more interesting than just having a plain samgupsal. The service was friendly and quick. Only reason I put 3 starts is because there wasn't anything special about this place. It was pretty much same as any other Korean BBQ places..

Compared to all the other Korean bbq spots in the area, this place does not come up to par. Wait time was about an hour which was understandable for us because we went on a Sunday, it was Easter, and this is a newly opened restaurant. Once we were sat down, We ordered the beef combo which comes with about 3-4 different cuts of beef. The first disappointment was the first cut they grilled. It was pretty much very thin shabu shabu meat that disintegrated once it touched the grill. That cut of meat is not meant to grill, only shabu shabu so I was not sure why they decided to use this cut rather than a regular piece of steak. The beef combo was also really flavorless. Granted, it was just a piece of meat but I've had flavorful cuts than this. The combo also comes with a soup that is meant for the waiters to offer complimentary for "good service" but it was so tiny! It won't serve 2-3 people that the combo is meant for. Lastly, the service was not great. They need to hire more staff to keep up with the space and attention of each patron. Sometimes we had to turn our own meat because it took a while for a waiter to come by our table. If this restaurant was a cook it yourself bbq, then I would understand. But this bbq spot is meant for you to relax and the staff to cook the bbq, not you. It was good to try out since it's a new spot, but I would prefer going to a better Korean bbq spot with all of the other options available in the area.

We were on our way home from the airport and decided to stop here for dinner. It's in a Plaza which was a plus. We didn't want to search for street or garage parking. We were a little apprehensive based on the mixed reviews but place was packed and there was a line. We figured this was a good sign, especially on a Friday night. We were seated in 10 minutes and ordered the Marinated Beef Platter. It came with a couple sides and a small iron cast bowl of both seafood soup and egg. Soup had a nice flavorful broth. Meat was tender and fresh and service was good. Waitress was attentive and cooked the meats thoroughly. As for the ambience, it's very loud and lively. It reminded me of a bar or club and we had to shout to hear ourselves talk. But everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we were busy eating most of the time. We would go back here for Korean BBQ.

i love this place ~ great food for a reasonable price ~ i would have givin a five star but the waitin time is tooooooooo long they have LOADS OF HOT SERVERS TOO ~ TIP ~ GO ON A WEEKDAY its not packed and servers are more attentive ~ or on weekends go after 10 like after dinner time ~

The food is good but me and my friends expected a brand new restaurant to have better service. We asked our server if the combo we ordered would be enough for 3 ppl and come on, that portion was enough to feed only 1 of my friends. & I for sure have never complained about portions before. We were then trying to order a stew which we didn't know came with our combo. Our server shouldve definitely let us known that; considering there are 2 options. That means he wouldve served whatever pleased him if I hadn't kept asking questions... Then the pitcher of water - wow. Talk about either being lazy or rly ignorant. It's empty and so I left it at the edge of the table for them to refill & yet whenever someone came by, every worker just placed the empty pitcher further in towards the other end before I could even ask them to get another one for us..

Less side menus Dirty service We gave 14% tips from what we ate tonight and our server went out to shout us by saying that "you better go to a cheaper place!!".. While serving food, he spilled a cup of ice water and literally hit the ice from the table to wipe that out. It was intimidating my family.

I would give this place 3.5 stars. We were greeted immediately and seated. My party and I stopped by here because the prices were good. We got 3 little side dishes (although normally I expect more) and a free little bottle of soju for our table. The bean curd stew was good, but I was a little disappointed that the waiter said the bean curd and tofu stews were with seafood (even though it's not mentioned in the menu, just has a picture). The service was good and they offer wild rice if you don't want white.

i was very excited when I heard one of my favorite restaurants in Ktown in the city is opening up closer to where I live. When I went there, there were some waitings but it wasn't as crowded as one located in the city. We ordered beef combo and bibim nengmyun/spicy buckwheat noodle, everything was set up very quickly but took 25 minutes to only bring the beef platter to the table. Meanwhile, our grill was too heat up the meat was sticking all over the grill so we asked to replace the grill so had to wait another 10 minutes. Also ordered traditional lunch box, usually it would come out with things on top of rice with nicely put fried egg, but when the server brought it and shook it without even asking and when opened it looked like it was already mixed up in the kitchen(egg was chopped too) and also was very watery. The noodle didn't taste as good as same one I had in the city location as well. Lastly, i don't get how it is more expensive in flushing than one in the city. The beef platter in the city was $50 but was $57 in flushing. Also pricing for other dishes were higher as well. As for now, I'd rather choose to go to Kanghodong if I'm in flushing or just go to location in the city though there are lines of people waiting. Perhaps I'll visit far later to see if they've gotten better but they better up their game.

I'm not sure what's up with the bad reviews, because the cheap lunch specials here are a great value. I came here with my dear mother, and I had the tofu goldop (stone) bibimbap and my mom had the grilled mackerel. Both only $10 each during lunch! My mom's meal was an especially good value because it came with a decent sized doenjang jigae (a type of miso based stew) that was delisshhh, enough for us to share. The banchan was good and fresh-I can tell they house make the kimchi and they gladly refilled it for us. I really can't comment on their k bbq but the lunch specials here are definitely good.

The food was alright I liked the pork belly. There were a lot of side dishes the meat was grilled pretty good and the lettuce looked and tasted fresh. They were all very nice. Yesterday I went eating with my brother and sister in law the first time in this restaurant. We ordered so many things thinking it would be like very small. However, the proportion was HUDGE we couldn't finish that much food. We end up eating a little of what we ordered. Then there was Kalbi, it was still fresh and uncooked. My brother wanted to return it, but of course you can't because it's already cut. So they grilled it next to our table and let us take it home. Plus, it was really late and it was going to close. My only complain is that I wish they had more options for grilling. Nice service, if you're going here to eat make sure you don't order so much food.

Horrible service from the hostesses! Rude and nasty to us! Felt like they didn't want our busniess. They only want to cater to Korean ppl! Food was good, waitresses were friendly. Not sure if well return. Plenty of other Korean BBQ in Flushing!

The meat and service is pretty good here considering the amount of work each server has to do.

This restaurant is new, it seems pretty clean. The servers are nice and friendly. The exhaust fan is directly on top of the food so you don't really pick up the BbQ smell on your clothes. They are still slightly unorganized considering they are pretty new but that should work itself out in a couple of weeks.

Stopped by with my mom today for a late lunch, the staff were super welcoming and seated us immediately. It wasn't busy or nearly as busy as the location in the city (I'm guessing because of the time that we went in). We ordered the non marinated beef set and for the price, there was definitely a good amount of meat to fill up the both of us. The naengmyun that we ordered after we were done with the meat was subpar and a bit too sweet for our taste but wasn't the worst I've had. Though this place does not come with a lot of side dishes as a lot of other KBBQ places, the quality of meat is pretty decent and the pricing is awesome to boot. I would definitely recommend ordering a soup on the side to compliment the meal. Would come back again!

Everything is new; so pretty clean. It needs to have more kimchi for their high pricing though. Their quality of meat is really good. They cook the meat for you; burnt a 1/4 of my order. I recommend their Kalbi. The seafood pancake wasn't good; lacked seafood.

Amazing food quality. Although there are no side dishes, the service and taste of bbq explains the price.

Had reservations for 14 ppl at 6pm on a Sunday. It wasn't crowded when we showed up , we sat at two tables for 8 back to back. The wait staff was friendly enough but lack training when things got busy. We had to wait more than 10 minutes in between because they said kitchen was backed up. How can the kitchen be backed up when the meat is grilled at my table? The meat quality was so-so, their soy bean paste soup was really tasty. Their cold noodle with broth was great. I wasn't really impressed today and chalk it up to growing pains for the fact that they opened this past Friday. I will try again when they settled down a bit. When I call for reservations I was told that they did not have their liquor lic. but to be told that I could not bring my own did not make any sense to me.

Came here today and was very pleased overall. Food was excellent, service was great, theme was cool. Free refills on side dishes as well. I like it, 5 stars from me. Will come often.
