Started coming here on our Vegas to Reno trips. GOOD food served FAST then back on the road. Best food option in Tonopah

Brought us cold food they microwaved it then brought it back out. Waitress was a joke and to top it off Pablo the owner didn't even care. This local will not be back and will not recommend it to anyone.

The food was a disappointment. It was the most bland Mexican food I've ever had. The salsa was the best part of the meal. The guacamole was terrible. It was a weird light green color. It was definitely not fresh. It looked like a guacamole they had purchased premade and bagged. Tonopah is a very small town with few food options, but I would not eat here again.

Worst Mexican food ever! I think they used Valletta cheese. They get 1 star because it's probably the only Mexican food within a 400 mile radius. The joint was slammed, service was lacking which is forgivable. Horrible food when driving through the Great Basin is criminal.

Tonopah has lots of character but very few places to eat. This is probably the best place in town. While nothing special, the dinner was fairly good. I especially liked their salsa.

I got a tostado and tamale. The food was ok. The salsa has a nice little spicy kick to it. The margarita I got was probably the worst margarita I've had. There was one disgruntled waitress and one really great one. Probably wouldn't go back.

The food was good the service as well. I don't get why people just slam a place for no reason at all. I'd hate to be married to them. Do not hesitate to come here. All that we had seemed to be homemade and done well. I had the pork ( Green) Chimichanga. Flavorful, tender and moist. Very good. Salsa has a nice bite to it.

This place doesn't look like your typical Mexican restaurant, but the food here was surprisingly good considering it's in tiny Tonopah. My wife and I really enjoyed our meal here. The prices were more than reasonable considering it's the only Mexican option in town and there was a decent selection on the menu. I would definitely eat here again if in Tonopah.

We went there as a party of eight. Our waitress was terrific!! Food was very good. Chips weren't great, cold and perhaps a little stale. Would definitely eat there again.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
