We are currntly spending the weekend at the HardRock and decided to try Park Prime after a concert, got there about 10 pm. We Had the miso glazed sea bass....cooked perfectly. It came with broccolini that was cooked perfectly also...a nice comfortable place with a wonderful meal. I must say our server Naomi was attentive and seemed to truly care about us and our meal and made us feel welcome. She was a server to be proud of and made the entire affair somthing we would do again.

My new favorite place in Tahoe!! July 3, 2015- We had no plans....all power was out at Harvey's Casino, Bars, Restaurants including our room so we went to Hard Rock to check on dinner options. We walked into Park Prime and of course Friday Night July 3rd, the restaurant was booked solid. The hostess recommended we check the bar area, order a cocktail and a lounge table should open up shortly. We didn't even get a chance to order a drink before a table opened up for us. The table was quickly switched over for us to sit down. Excellent! Our waiters were great. The live musician was unbelievable--so great! Awesome concept-upbeat rock-way better than elevator or no music! Definitely a keeper!!! The beginning bread selection was super! Cocktails done way right!! For starters we enjoyed the French Onion Soup and Oysters Rockefeller-both great. For dinner we chose the Filet Mignon and the Chicken Two Ways with Mashed Potatoes and Mushrooms as sides. EVERYTHING was fantastic! Everything! Park Prime crew, Richard & Joanne will be back to see you soon!! You are doing things a little differently...... AND IT ROCKS!!!!

The server is the reason it got more than one star. I try not to leave negative reviews, but our experience was really bad. The wedge salad was great, as was the bread. Our steaks came out incredibly under cooked. My medium rare was barely seared. My wife's filet was medium rare at best when she ordered medium. Steaks were cold because of being so under cooked. I ate mine the best I could but my wife sent hers back. I got about halfway through mine and stopped. Our server did everything right to fix it. The manager comped the steaks and remade my wife's, which took a while to do. We were still charged for our sides, one of which we clearly didn't touch, and the other didn't get finished. The side was not replaced with the remake. I felt bad for the server having to deal with this so I left that alone.

After running the Rock Tahoe 1/2 Marathon on June 20th, it was a given we were in need of a proper refueling. Our reservation was made with a very nice young lady at the front of the restaurant early in the day. We were sat immediately in the restaurant. There was an acoustic guitar musician playing some amazing music the entire dinner. Made for a wonderful relaxing dinner while my buddy and I recapped the awesome day. Our waiter, Ian, was a very helpful and attentive server. He gave us some background of the hotel and the restaurant and his background. Always great to know a little about who is going to be provided your food and drink. We started off with some martini's and a few appetizers. The Kobe beef meatballs and crab cakes were very satisfying. The flakiness of the crab cakes was perfecto. Ian reviewed a few bottles of wine and pointed us in the right direction with a Pinot that would go good with our dinner choices of the Scallop dish and the Ribeye steak with macaroni and cheese and baked potatoes as the sides. The portions are very generous. Highly recommend the choices. The scallops were tasty with the citrus based sauce they were served with. The Steak was cooked as ordered and was huge. They offer several options for toppings but the steak is fine alone without anything if desired. After we had some dessert and espresso, I really needed that sugar and caffeine for the gambling about to be had. LOL. I frequent Tahoe so will definitely be back to this restaurant. Having heard the good and bad reviews on this restaurant, if you didn't enjoy it the first time, I would go back as the newly opened hotel has obviously been paying attention to the details.

I have to start by saying that the hostess and server were excellent!!! Great customer service and wonderful menu descriptions. I am giving this place 2 stars because between 4 persons in my party ordering steak..... They were all overly cooked! All of them. Between the party, we ordered medium to medium rare and all of them came back well done. For being a steak place, you would figure that they would get 1 of the 4 correct. Nope! I would suggest another restaurant.

I'm excited to write this review. About 6 weeks ago I tried Fire Break at the Hard Rock and struggled to give them two stars. We're locals and had a couple of discount coupons so the four of us decided to try Prime. Our expectations were low. This is Hard Rocks high end restaurant. If you get past the prices on the menu at the door, you'll find a nice setting. Not real formal, but casual contemporary. Very clean. The place was virtually empty(as are most restaurants in Tahoe this time of the year) Service was very attentive(wish I could remember our servers name.....she previously worked at Chart House) Drinks were good. We ordered the Wedge Salad, Onion Soup, Beet Salad and House Salad. All were good......B to B+. The Beet Salad was large enough to split. Two of us ordered appetizers as our main course.......the crab cakes and meatballs. Both were just OK. Wouldn't order them again. I ordered the 20oz bone in Rib Eye and the other person in our group ordered the Sea Bass. Both were outstanding! I am a steak fanatic......so I set a high bar......this particular steak was amazing. Perfectly cooked (med rare) excellent marbling. The $50 charge is very strong for Tahoe, but I'd take this steak over other Tahoe steaks in the $35-40 range. The Sea Bass was moist and flavorful. We only ordered one side.......Mac and cheese. Huge portion......flavor OK. Too full to try desert. Rumor is they've been working hard to improve their reputation and have made some mgt and chef changes. I'm optimistic that they're moving in the right direction. We'll certainly be going back.

Food was overall blah...BUT the Seabass was very good. I wouldn't recommend this place as it is quite expensive for mediocre food.

Park Prime is outstanding. My wife and I dined on a recent Thursday evening and every aspect was spot on. The sleek looking space was warm and welcoming. The hostess was kind and seated us at a table to our liking. A solo guitarist was outstanding-- showroom quality and worth lingering to enjoy. We shared a couple fresh salads, prawns, mushroom tart, and a seasonal risotto. Each were simply outstanding. Service was top notch from Ian (??) and we truly enjoyed out experience and plan a return visit soon When in Tahoe, Park Prime is a must.

Went in for wine and appetizers. Perfect service by Rich and crew. Wine was reasonably priced. French onion soup was good, crab cakes were better. Ambiance was very pleasant. We will return!

The ambiance and food are the best two things about this restaurant. We loved the kobe meatballs and the mashed potatoes. However, it is really pricey. The service is really slow, but it gives you time to enjoy the wine and atmosphere.

Good drinks, sweet bartender Amber. She's the only reason they got an extra star. Terrible food. Stop in for a drink only, if that. Fish was fishy as hell, gross presentation. It was embarrassing. I couldn't even eat it. I don't think I've ever given a 2 star review...this was that bad.

We were very disappointed in this supposed 5-star restaurant. It was exciting to think we were going to have a new experience with the Hard Rock. We made reservations for the Valentine's Day special and dressed nicely for what we had hoped was a romantic experience. They handed each lady a wilted, long stemmed rose upon arrival. It was a very nice gesture but they were not fresh in the least and some of the petals were already turning black. We ordered the small filet topped with lobster. We ordered filets medium and the beef came to us rare. The plate was ice cold and food was luke warm at best. The truffle mashed potatoes were warm, but not hot. We didn't dare eat luke warm lobster. We mentioned it to our waiter and he apologized and had two new plates prepared. Again, lukewarm food, ice cold plate. Not one bit of temperature change after pointing it out. For a 5-star restaurant and particularly on a big holiday dining night, we would have at least expected table cloths and some nice table wear. It was just ordinary all the way around. The dining room did not feel upscale in the least. Our waiter was very attentive and apologetic and did speak with the manager and comped our drinks. The dessert was decent. Two hundred dollars later our "romantic" dinner was a bust. The parking garage has not been refurbished in the least. The elevators are absolutely disgusting. We will not be returning to the Park Prime. It's a waste of time and money.

Service is slow but the food is worth the wait if you're not in a hurry. Much better than its predecessor (The Horizon) but still the same slow elevators and thin walls.

I was very excited to check out this steakhouse and the Tahoe Hard Rock! It succeeded my expectations. They were able to accommodate our party of 10 which we were extremely grateful for taking this reservation on a Memorial Day weekend in a packed restaurant. Our server Lisa was on point and was very attentive and patient due to the fact that some guests were high maintenance. Her awesomeness was above and beyond for not that easy task. All of our food came out in perfect manner with good timing. I had the Wedge Salad and Chillian Sea bass. The Sea bass was amazing and my husband had French Onion which was quite flavorful w/ a great amount of cheese. His main course was Wagyu Flat Iron Steak and it was cooked to perfection ( I will have this next time). The dirty martini's were phenomenal.I will definitely be returning sooner than later to this wonderful steakhouse with me and my husband and also when we are entertaining. The staff was wonderful and the ambience was great. All in all a wonderful experience, in which a night of fine dining should be.

Excellent dining experience. The calamari and risotto were amazing...our steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. It was a treat to discover this really cool contemporary and chic restaurant tucked away from the craziness of the casino. It was a Saturday night and they had a really great guitarist...so fun!!!

Can I just say WOW! My husband and I went to dinner here for our anniversary. We were seated immediately. Our waitress, Naomi, was wonderfully attentive. We started with french onion soup and Ahi tartare. Both were phenomenal. The Ahi was served with wonton crisps and had just a hint of mint and Asian pear. I could have eaten that all night and been happy. The french onion soup was also great. Best I've had at a restaurant in a long time. I had the rhythm and blues cocktail. The thyme and blueberries paired perfectly together. For entrees he had the wagyu flat iron steak. The charbroil on it was perfect. Cooked to order which is something I never expect at a restaurant anymore. I had the miso glazed sea bass. It was perfectly cooked. The glaze was nicely caramelized and added just a hint of sweetness. And it was served with broccolinni, oh how I love that little mash up of a vegetable. All in all, it was a fabulous dinner and we had an amazing time. I could not stop raving about this place the whole way back to our room. I highly recommend this place!

We ate here for the first time on a Thursday night and I don't agree with other Yelpers' reviews. There was a young guitarist playing in the bar area (which opens into the dining room) that we just loved. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We opted to try and share several small plates instead of a traditional 2 or 3 course meal. Loved everything we had and can't wait to go back!

I cannot say that I was overly impressed with Park Prime. I ordered the 10 oz fillet med rare and received med. For a $46 steak, I would have liked to have been wowed in some way. I wasn't. It should be noted that the fillet comes by itself. So if you're expecting a meal, you'll have to purchase sides separately.

Wow, wow, wow!!! My partner and I and another couple went to South Lake Tahoe this weekend not even knowing their was a Hard Rock Casino there, we will stay there next time, the casino was a blast so we decided to try Park Prime, it did not disappoint. Our waiter Ian was a really nice and very attentive unfortunately it was the first day of their new menu so he was honest when we inquired about certain items that he had not tried them yet. ( Understandable ) We placed our drink order and were served to us within a couple minutes, we ordered more then we should of and Ian told us that it was too much but we wanted to taste everything, so we started with the chili dusted calamari that was perfectly spiced and cooked. Very fresh, melted in our mouths and we had the white prawn cocktail equally delicious. Second course was shared house salad, beet salad perfectly dresses and tasted farm to table. I had the French Onion soup which was standard. For our entrees my partner and I shared the NY grilled with peppercorns, we ordered it medium but came out medium rare but was corrected in a timely fashion, it was a DELICIOUS!! Our friends had the bone in ribeye medium rare and got high raves. We shared mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts and the risotto with sweet peas and pancetta it was cooked to perfection. We spoke with the General Manager and assured him we would review the experience. I will add that we live in SF, and love a great steak house but are disappointed most the time when we go to new places this is right up their with our favorite. WE WILL BE BACK !!!
