The verde. Get the verde... Makes everything better. Hailey was good. :) Honestly, don't really know what else to add, so here's a picture of something old.

The downward spiral continues at Kripple Creek Restaurant. There was some bad press in the local paper due to a state health inspection: I thought patronizing this restaurant would help it bounce back. Big mistake! A young man attempted to seat us at a table, but all four chairs were filthy. My son wiped off his chair with his hand, but I opted to simply exchange chairs with other unoccupied tables. The problem was, I had to do an extended search to find clean chairs! Four tables away, I finally found chairs that were fit to sit in. I brought the clean chairs to our table. 20 minutes after ordering, the server asked how we were doing. I said that we'd really like to have our appetizer. She said that it would be ready "soon". 5 minutes later, she overheard me comment to my son & wife that for a restaurant with hardly any customers, why are they so slow to bring out the appetizers or even our main entrees. We could hear the server inquiring about our appetizer in the kitchen, but she still didn't provide us with any news. At the 30 minute point we decided to leave. A young red hair fellow at the cash register (the manager?) asked how everything was. I said that we'll never know regarding the food because we never received it, but most of your chairs are filthy. He said, "sorry to hear that". The server approached & said to just charge us for a cup of coffee. Instead of saying, "wow, I'm so sorry that our service was incredibly terrible today, please give us another chance", his only statement was $1.80 please. They just stole 1.5 hours (cumulative) of our lives & he just wants his $1.80. Fine take it, but what a huge mistake I made trying to help your sorry asses recover from the state health inspection hurting you! SLOPPY OPERATION, SLOPPY SANITATION! Avoid these people!

Used to be a great place to gp for breakfast. Today's visit reminded me of why I haven't been here in over a year. It was so cold my coffee couldn't stay warm and every time the servers were told it was cold they just laughed and walked away. The meal was served with no utensils! The toast came out at the end of the meal. This restaurant has definitely gone downhill big time.

Probably rank in the top five worst places in town. Place is completely dirty and falling apart. Staff messed around on their phones most of the time or talked to each other at the register instead of taking care of the customers. The booth seats have literally been sat in so many times, I'm afraid the next person will fall through the cushion. I sunk into one of the cushions and had to sit on the edge to keep my chin above the table. Now the food took a long time to come out of the kitchen. When we served the food was cold and tasted horrible. This place will be out of business by the end of the year.

I ate here for lunch. The sign advertises the best burgers in town. I chose the patty melt. It was a burger with cheese, onions served on rye bread and included french fries. The burger was okay but nothing spectacular. It could have been salted or seasoned a bit better. (I don't usually salt my food.) The french fries were okay. They were hot but greasy. They needed salt and yes I do like my fries salty. The iced tea was good. I will likely not eat here again for lunch. The service was slow but I only saw one waitress working. She did apologize once for the speed. The restaurant could use some work on decor. While I liked the decor, it was dirty looking and appeared run down. The bench I sat needed replacing as it was more than a little worn out. I think the restaurant could use Robert Irvine's help.

The cinnamon roll was amazing, but the huevos rancheros left something to be desired. Everything tasted bland with the same consistency. Service was friendly and above average. Decent place to eat in Clovis, but I wouldn't eat there regularly if I lived in a bigger city with more eating options.

I ate breakfast here - I spotted it when I was about to go to McDonald's for breakfast. Yes, dining options are very limited in Clovis, NM - even a Denny's would be an improvement. Breakfast was good; the coffee was drinkable & the service was good. No surprises here - just a good meal at a decent price.

I wanted to find a place where I could sit down for lunch and had seen this place on a previous trip. It was not that great an experience. The service was not good and the food was marginal. I would say maybe for breakfast might be good but other than that would not suggest it.

Not someplace I'd stop at again but food was OK. Not many choices early on a Sunday morning though.

Pretty good breakfast food. A bit crowded.

Decent diner food with a good mix of American and Mexican food. I agree with the previous review that breakfast is best.

My husband and I had a three month stay in Clovis last year, and we ate out a lot during that time. There are not a ton of choices in this small town, so we were able to visit a lot of places. We went to Kripple Creek several times. Breakfast is delicious, and lunch and dinner are also good, though nothing blew me away apart from their dinner rolls...I would love to get their recipe for those.

By far, one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. First, our table was wobbly and dirty. The waitress was a moron who couldn't get anything right. I ordered pot roast and mashed potatoes. I didn't know if I was supposed to eat my food or throw it. Terrible!
