Amy and her family have a very loyal following of regulars, including me and my family. I personally have been going there for 25+ years! I've had the pleasure of seeing both Lily and Riley grow up. There are times that we make the trip to Amy's from Rio Rancho when there aren't other errands to run. The food is always hot and tasty. We love the pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, won ton and egg drop soups, egg rolls, chicken wings, pepper steak and lemon chicken. The hot mustard is always hot...the way it's supposed to be! The prices are reasonable and the food is great. Be prepared to enjoy a leisurely and delicious meal.

I was staying overnight in Albuquerque and craved Chinese. Based on Yelp reviews, I tried this restaurant. They recommended Chow Shan Shein, which I have never had before, so I tried it. It was outstanding! I would definitely order it again. I was, however, very disappointed in the pork fried rice. It was not up to the standards that I am used to, and it had a bit of a scorched flavor which was offputting. I had expected some egg, vegetables, and chunks of pork. There were very tiny pieces of pork in this dish. Thank goodness they had included white rice.

Who could possibly not love this place? Riley is the sweetest person ever and with the greatest memory of anyone I've ever met, and the food was absolutely wonderful as well. We ordered a pepper steak, general tso's chicken, and sweet and sour pork, plus some fried rice and egg drop soup for my sister. China Inn is the best place in the NE Heights to get Chinese take-out, and we can't wait to be back!

Not bad, but not great either. Service is slow, but the people are nice. Food is pretty tasty, but overcooked. Ingredients all mushed together. Same sauce in the Kung Bo as on Beef and Broccoli. Gotta be better Chinese food in town.

Great little family place. Got the Sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Crispy, wonderful and came with TONS of sauce in the to-go bag. They didn't give utensils. No biggie. Just brought it home. Chicken included in fried rice was nice and traditional.

Excellent food and great service. I also love that it's family owned and been here since 1984. Huge portions, delicious, and great menu options.

I hate giving a bad review. Seriously, I understand how much people pour their hearts into a business. Still, despite the generous portions, it was bad. Really bad. We just got takeout: General Tso's Chicken, Beef with Broccoli, and Egg Drop Soup. Admittedly, the Egg Drop Soup was quite nice, but if you blindfolded me and asked me to name the main dishes I was eating, I don't think I would be able to identify that it was even Chinese food. Considering that these entrees comprise our mainstay order every time we go to Chinese food, we should be able to at least get it in the ballpark that we were eating broccoli and meat or some sort of spicy chicken. The beef and broccoli pieces tasted the same, and they were cooked until they were super mushy. I know I was chewing on cornstarch in the General Tso's Chicken. Also, General Tso's Chicken is supposed to be spicy, which it wasn't, and it could have been more accurately labeled Generally Sweet Chicken. The General Tso's Chicken and The Beef with Broccoli dishes also had the same gelatinous kind of sauce, which is curious, since they are supposed to be wildly different dishes. Considering also that the bill came out to $24 before tip, I expected something much more delectable. Maybe I didn't order the right thing? Possibly. I do know that if I were directing someone to decent Chinese food in Albuquerque, I wouldn't think twice about this place. There are much, much, much better places to eat than China Inn.

Been a diner here 23 years. Love the food. A real hole-in-the-wall, but great food.

Excellent Food! You must try this little family owned restaurant! I like to call in take out, the place is a little dark inside and a little old. I give them 5 stars!!!!! :)

Best Chinese we have had in a long time. Family that runs it are great! They'll remember you and what you like after your first visit. Food is great, prices as well, and Amy always makes sure you have food to take home! They will even accommodate dietary requests (food allergies)!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
