Good pizza try the over under pepperoni definitely their best! Good servers and atmosphere can get pretty crazy on the weekends or game days. Great patio if wanting to eat outside. Drinks a bit pricy but overall a great place

Varsity makes my favorite pizza in Omaha, the over under pizza. And this location has a great patio by a small lake. However, tonight we waited over an hour without our food and more than 30 minutes since the waitress had stopped by. Worst service I've had in Omaha. And we had to follow other tables in leaving, even without my beloved pizza.

I've been here a few times. First review of the place. I came in for a quick dinner. I sat at the bar and had the SanteFe Chicken Wrap with fries. I was skeptical at first but it was listed as a varsity favorite. It came out fairly quickly. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it! Very delicuious. The fries were perfect too! The wrap had just the right amount of everything in it! I was happy it wasn't overly crunchy because of the tortilla strips. Overall good experience. The only reason not five stars.. the bartender didn't refill my water at all.. bummer.

I unfortunately had to give this place a lower review because the service just is inconsistent. I have gone there and it is quick. Other times it takes forever for anyone to take your order and your food to come out. Yesterday I called about trivia and here is how the conversation went- "Hi, I know you have trivia on Tuesdays. I was calling to get more info." "Uhh like what." "What time? Do I have to register? How many people?" "Hang on. " "It's at 7pm, you have to go online to Omaha Pub quiz." Come to find out that's not a website and can't register. Call again, same kid answers, and says he doesn't know then. I have to call the bar. Can't transfer me to the bar. So I hang up, call the bar and they say, no just show up and it will get taken care of there. Bartender seems annoyed and says I don't know where he got that info. . I have seen this happen when it comes to orders and specials there. I LOVE the pizza (over under Romano with pepperoni... I would have that as my last meal), but the staff needs to be better trained and more consistent. I am pretty excited to go to trivia but I honestly hope I don't have to register. Haha.

It's been awhile since I've reviewed the Varsity- with a plethora of visits to their various locations over the years- my view can change a bit from trip to trip. Lately we've been frequenting the 144th St. location, and I have to say- it's my favorite. I love their huge circular bar, fully equipped for dining as well as drinking! The bartenders here treat you like family, especially Sean and Tony! In addition, I really think this place has killer food. I can't say enough about the "Over Under Romano" pizza complete with CREAM CHEESE, everyone needs cream cheese on their pizza, trust me folks! I also can't get enough of their Garlic Parm Wings, but many other items stand out as well. Chicago-7 deep dish, Portobello mushrooms appetizer, and the cheesy bread! The drinks are strong, large and served in classy glasses. Visit on Tuesdays for cheap draws, and trivia. This place really has the right mix- a nice clean spacious atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable prices, great food, always something going on (keno, trivia and many TV's), and tons of specials! Congrats to the Varsity for getting in right in Omaha!

Server was just awful. All we wanted were some drinks and it was just insane trying to get the first round, second round, and so on. The food the last few times I've been is pretty good and I would give that four stars. Servers have been good/bad - basically inconsistent.

Here for they're good pizza & when we got it the crust was completely black!! Asked to see the kitchen manager, he came out & said ya that's how our pizzas are...no offer to redo or discount of any sort! Have had thick crust numerous places & never came out charcoal BLACK!! Very disappointed!)

This place is difficult to rate because it is so "hit and miss". The pizza and wings are definitely five stars. The meats and veggies for the pizza are super fresh and tasty; I have to give a particular shoutout to the beef topping, it is the bomb.com ! They're a little light on the sauce, but I know many people like that; just ask for extra sauce and they will accommodate for free. The wings come out with a perfect crisp and the hot sauce is out of this world...not too thick, not too thin and the right amount of heat; I could drink it...its that delicious!!! Unfortunately, that is it...if you venture for the burgers, fries, and sandwiches, you will be sadly disappointed. The service is ok, nothing that stands out. In summary, absolutely go for pizza and wings!!!!

Worst service I've ever experienced in Omaha. Waitress and bartender were not good. Bartender was a complete jerk. Food took forever. Drinks took forever. Our desert took 30 min. Never going back.

I've been here a few times. I dropped by again this afternoon to watch a few of the March Madness games with my buddies. The place was absolutely packed. When I first arrived there wasn't even an available table. Shortly afterwards, a big booth in the corner opened. The television placement was good but they were a tad small considering where we were seated. The pizza is what I've come to expect. It's solid but not great. I think there are definitely better options but you won't find many sports bars that are better. The crust is a bit on the thin side. The place itself is very nice and they have a huge patio on the lake. It's one of the better outdoor seating areas that I've been to.
