Overall (8/10) Food (8/10) - pupusas so good Atmosphere (7/10) Location (7/10) - south O Price (8/10) - fair I went here with my friend who visited Ecuador and wanted some pupusas. I've had limited experience with these formidable fried friends before, so I dont have much to compare too. However, these were delicious. Three of these bad boys were a large meal, and only set me back about $7. The location is a little less than ideal, but inside is nice and clean. Will I be back? If I have the craving for fried stuffed goodness

I loved this place in my childhood, but when I returned to reminisce, I had the worst experience, of any restraunt. the waitress was rude, the fried chicken I asked for look like an abomination, and everything was either too sweet or weird tasting. The restaurant has lost its touch, I was extremely disappointed and saddened. I did not want to pay 40 dollars worth of food that I did not enjoy and barely touched. Hence, I will never return or recommend this place to anyone.

I agree with everything Matt said, ultimately we had a really poor experience here. One which I never plan on repeating. This place was a weird combination of general store and restaurant, so in theory you could pick up a child's comforter and an order of tacos in one stop. Theoretically of course, because it was hard to get served. Maybe a group of 10 can seem a little overwhelming for a small place, but with the only other table only recently leaving you'd think they'd have been excited? Apparently not, because the other table wasn't cleared for the duration of our meal - which eventually arrived - errors and all. We were told that the onions, cilantro and limes would come out separately so all that was served were tortillas and meat. I don't think we ever did get the other items, because one of our party went over to the aforementioned uncleared table to steal their unused limes. Ugh, no thanks.

The most disappointing stop on the 2013 Tour. The place was hot, the service was lackluster & the food was not great. Almost everyone had tacos and the collective verdict was meh. The meats were dry and there was no salsa at all - just a bottle of packaged hot sauce. The El Salvadorian horchata was good though - less sweet than the traditional version served everywhere else. When we went to leave we were scolded for trying to pay separately, so we payed as a group and got out of there. I will never return.

March 2015 wanted to try Central American food went to this place on recommendation but we should have walked out when they said cash only. We stayed anyways. Food was not bad but portions and prices don't Match. Everything is way over priced. We have been to way better restaurants and paid less for better and more food on our plate. Never going back and would not recommend to not even my enemy!

My family and I love this restaurant! There is something there for everyone in the family, including my extremely picky four year old. We especially enjoy the beans and rice, bean and cheese pupusas, steak tacos, chicken sopes, tortas, and the mixed fajitas. This restaurant is so delicious! The only downside is that they only accept cash, but this restaurant is definately worth the trip to the bank ahead of time!!

Kind of intresting decor, store plus restaurant. The food on the other hand was AMAZING!!!! Sopes and papusas are a must!!!! yeah they have tacos and tortas as well, but be outgoing. Mexiacan and Central American food is waaayyy more than just tacos. Any foodie out there should check this place out

This restaurant serves Salvadorian and Mexican food, with pupusas being one of their specialties. Pupusas are kind of like stuffed corn tortillas. You can order several types of stuffing-cheese, beans, squash blossoms (I think that's what they are), etc. We tried a few of those, a burrito, some tacos and a chicken stew. All of it was delicious and generous in portions. The service is friendly and pretty fast. They seem to do a good amount of take out and they only accept cash. This is a great little place, try it!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
