All I can say is go try the donuts.... I cannot say honestly that they are the best but they are pretty great for the small area! Ask them to put bacon on your maple bar and they will easily accommodate you! We went here early one morning and that is the best time to go since everything is uber fresh! Took donuts to the office and they were devoured literally in minutes!

On vacation with my family and we stop here every year. Wide variety of "so so" donuts but the kids love it! The older ladies who run the shop get kinda short with us because we have such a large group. I wouldn't recommend anything but the pastries and donuts.

Wow, what a surprise. Three words: AWESOME. DONUTS. HERE. Lattes are tasty, too. The tables were pretty full when I dropped by, so the food must be a draw as well. Bring cash though, or you get to visit the ATM they keep in a corner.

THEY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS. The food was good but I will not be stopping in anytime soon. Did not like to have to pay the fee for the ATM which they have in the corner on top of the bill. If they start taking cards someday I might give it another chance. I don't know how I would even find that out with out going out of my way and calling them. Which is sad as the staff was very nice and are going to loose out on any tips I would have paid on future visits there.

Finally had breakfast there... mistake..... 1 Star if not for the service, and the bakery stuff, that I assume is good. The good: Very friendly and prompt service, pretty good Americano, was fast to arrive. the Rest: I ordered a Ham and cheese omlette, (8.50) I asked about "add bacon" and they don't seem geared up to just add stuff and charge a bit more. The lady said she would put in a side order of bacon, (2.50) and have em' chop it up. I tried that somewhere else once, and I got half a piece of bacon in my omlette.....No thanks..... The foood is NO better than Denny's... Disgusting processed American *gack* ,cheese...(more like plastic) I hate that shit, it sticks to your gums like a leech in an Amazon river. runny, watery egg inside, and that crap ham that is totally oversalted. hash browns were the type you see in shreds that come in 5-gallon buckets, bland is an understatement. "Sourdough" toast was that garbage that is more akin to basic white bread, not something even close to sourdough, not by a long shot.. For 8.50, I would expect real cheese at least. The place is filled with(retired?) locals, you could put up a bingo system, and no one would even leave,,,the crowd is the same. They had VERY good looking pasteries, and monster cinnimon rolls, etc etc. I just don't get how the breakfast is so shitty , when the "Bakery" looks so good. I won't be back, Betty's is the only place to go for breakfast now....

It was a while ago that I ate here as I traveled between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, but this is such a down-home fun place that I think yelpers should know about it. Everything about the little restaurant was enticing: the lace hung from the top of large storefront windows, the cases full of luscious pastries, the booths that were extended to the ceiling by white garden lattices. There were numerous photographs on the walls, giving each booth the aspect of a small shrine. One booth featured game photos of the local high school football team, the Polson Pirates. We chose a booth with a wonderful series of pictures of an osprey alighting at its aerie. The photographer is also the restaurant's baker. He is a master of two arts. I ordered a bowl of vegetable soup from our waitress who is the baker's wife. The soup was accompanied by a four-inch cube of the most succulent cornbread. The cornmeal used had been milled fine, so there was absolutely no grittiness to the texture of the bread. Golden kernels of corn dotted the light yellow chunk. The cornbread was soothingly sweet, though not so sweet as to mistake it for cake. This was an elegant hunk of cornbread, a veritable apotheosis of a humble pioneer staple. Because it was so moist, you could easily slice the bread without having it crumble to bits as cornbread is wont to do. There was plenty to share, and my wife accepted my offers once, twice, thrice. She took her bread with a little butter, but I felt that it needed nothing extra. The vegetable soup strove to compete for attention with the cornbread. In the middle of the soup bowl the mounded vegetables rose above the level of the broth, giving the appearance of one of the verdant islands that beautify nearby Flathead Lake. Instead of spruce and alder, the vegetation of this island consisted of celery, onion, tomato, cauliflower, and carrot. Instead of blue-green water, the surrounding lake of broth was a rich beefy brown. Servers ladle up soup from a service island in the middle of the dining room, a symbol of the centrality of soup to the restaurant's menu. In addition to vegetable soup, there was clam chowder, chicken noodle soup and chili. Some diners erred slightly by choosing a freshly baked dinner roll as the accompaniment to their soup, but I saw no one opt for the packaged crackers. Obviously, I love places like this. There's no pretension, but there is a lot of joy and a real effort to give folks (locals mostly) good home-style cooking at very modest prices. Michelin wouldn't give this place any stars, but I give it five.

Stopped here for breakfast and was not disappointed! Biscuit and gravy were delicious. Pastries baked on site look awesome and will be taking some with us. Huckleberry pancake bigger than the plate and cheap prices.
