So friends all really liked going here. I had been away for a few years, and this place wasn't really up and running when I left, so I had never had their food before. They took me the first time, and I ordered the chicken curry. Now, you can assume I don't know food all you like, but the chicken meat was all dark (this is good for me) but that being said it was under cooked. Not only did it taste raw inside, the few pieces that were white meat were clearly still raw in the center. And the curry sauce itself was so salty! This is not good curry. Not even decent curry. But I didn't say anything, so as to not argue with my friends taste. I even went with them again to give it another go, and try a different dish. The Pad Thai noodles were overcooked and the sauce was pretty much ketchup. They all agreed, but said they liked that about it. Not my idea of good Pad Thai. They DO tend to just throw $2 off coupons at customers. I've been there twice and still have 5 in my wallet. Last time I was near there I noticed the health department had shut them down for a while. Yes, it's cheap, but there really isn't much quality here. Not interested.

Considering I now live in Seattle where there's amazing and authentic pho on every corner this was better than expected for Montana. If this restaurant were in Seattle it would get 1 star. I gave it three because of the state it's in. I had the pho ga and it was fine. The broth doesn't have the depth of taste I'm used to and they used really wide rice noodles, but it was a decent meal. I'm also used to a huge bowl of pho for $5 or less, so the price was a little disappointing too ($9). But, as I said, all things considered...it will dull the craving if you can't get back to the coast any time soon!

All I can say is wow. A lot of stuff on the menu is generic oriental food and nothing to write about.... but the Pho (soup) and the grilled meats are amazing! It's like Sa Wa Dee, not much of an atmosphere put the staff is friendly and some of the dishes are more addictive than crack. Try the lemongrass beef, spicy korean bbq, or any of the soups. Love it. You get a lot for you money too!

My favorite Pho in Missoula! Always consistently excellent. The appetizers are great too. They even have a little shop where you can buy spices and pastes to try and replicate at home, but you can't. Nice try.

Great pho! I always order the spicy lemongrass tofu and I'm always very happy. I've had tastes of others dishes and everything was always very flavorful. I would make sure to ask for no MSG because otherwise you will be eating it, but the service is fast and the food is really great.

Grilled lemongrass beef, spring rolls, curry - yum. Insert yumminess into face. Nom nom nom. This is one of Missoula's hidden gems. The owner is very nice and they do take-out as well as dine-in. The menu is huge and takes a while to get through if it's your first time. I have a few favorite dishes, but everything I've tried so far has been good. This is the best place in Missoula to get curry, and my personal favorite dish is the grilled lemongrass beef. My boyfriend really enjoys the pho. There is also a little side shop that sells proper curry paste, for those of you that like to cook at home. Curry paste can be difficult to find. Actually, this is the only place I've found it in Missoula so far. They sell other items as well, but the curry paste discovery was down right exciting.

Got a bowl of pho and a combination plate of orange chicken, pad thai, and fried rice. Probably our fault for ordering the plate of non-vietnamese food but everything on the plate was mediocre. The Pad Thai was left almost untouched when we left. The pho was decent so you're probably safe ordering that. Id recommend they remove the other items if thats not a strength for them.

Chilly night while in Missoula for business called for a hot bowl of soup, which for me means Pho! Missoula has a couple of options to find my favorite bowl of soup and decided to try Vietnam house since it was closer to where I was coming from. Good menu to choose from. Maybe because it is Missoula and demand is not high, but Pho dac biet didn't have all the tendons and different meats I am used to. You had to pay extra for beef tripe. I still paid 11 bucks with tip for my bowl, which is decent but I missed the normal cuts of meat I am used to in the combination bowl I order. Overall all though the broth was good and anything is super good with Sriracha in it! not a mark against them but thought it was funny they brought my bowl with a fork in it versus giving me chopsticks! I had to ask the waitress for a pair.

Solid Pho house, had the spicy lemon grass beef, very good. Love the fish tanks. Many vegetarian options to choose from. Not in the center of town but a good affordable authentic place.

I had pho and it was terrible. I am vietnamese so I know how pho should taste. Their pho doesn't have any vietnamese pho flavor at all. They really should change the restaurant name because it's misleading. The waitress was nice and very kind. I don't write review, but this place just give vietnamese pho a bad rep

Wanted asian food when we got to town. Normally search Yelp first then follow up with Google. Good recommendations from both. We got sweet and sour chicken and pork, both tender, sauce lacking a bit on the sour side. Pad Thai noodles. This was a meal in itself. Veggies cooked to perfection.

My boyfriend and I decided we wanted a Vietnamese sandwich. We are from Seattle and hoped Missoula had some tasty food after our exhausting travels. We went in and ordered Vietnamese sandwiches with chicken and cold shrimp spring rolls. Got to our hotel room and wanted to chow down. I opened the wrapped sandwich and thought they had forgot to put anything inside it. I opened it up and it was an incredibly pathetic looking sandwich. Take a look at the photo I posted. It was essentially all bread. The taste itself was lacking. Maybe because I was pretty much eating just bread? It was by far the second worst sandwich I have had in my 31 years of living. The first is a Subway sandwich that gave me E. coli. The spring roll was very tasty. You get two rolls that are very long with peanut sauce that was also good. The people that worked at Vietnam Noodle were quite nice and courteous. However, I'd never go back, at least for the sandwich. I'm sure they have something I'd like there, but their sandwich is definitely not their specialty.

Just not a huge fan. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, It's just everything on the menu comes in soup form. Well not all of it, but most of it. I guess it just kinda weirds me out. I shall run across the parking lot before we all leave and get food to go from China garden. Now that's good stuff.

I had the pork with noodle lunch special and it was very good. It was basically bun on a plate instead of a bowl. I'd definitely be back when I'm in town next. I've only had so-so Asian food in Missoula at other restaurants, so it was nice to find a good one.

This is the best Asian restaurant in Missoula, hands down! The Spicy Lemongrass Shrimp was incredibly good! Lots of shrimp and lots of onions in a wonderful sauce. I also ordered Veggie Imperial Rolls, which were delicious. My friend had one of their combination plates that included Pad Thai and Fried Rice. Both were wonderful. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something different.

Comfort food! I like to come here during lunch because it is usually not very crowded and servers are very polite. I like the portion of their Pho's and other dishes. And I'd always ask them to top up soup broth. I do get thirsty once in a while right after eating their food.

If there was not a world outside of Missoula, Vietnam Noodle would get five stars for having the best Pho on Earth!! But alas, it merely has the best Pho in Missoula. That being said, if you're a local, and you haven't tried Vietnam Noodle yet, what are you waiting for? Go! Now! Get your slurp on! While Pho usually has a very mild flavor, the broth at Vietnam Noodle is strong and flavorful. Their noodles are also slightly thicker than normal. The end result is an enjoyable--if not traditional--bowl. They also have a wonton noodle soup which is probably the best item on their menu. Missoula residents who have never tried Pho before: you owe it to yourself to try it. And if you're an experienced Phonatic stuck in the cold of Montana and longing for noodles, Vietnam Noodle is your best bet!

Vietnam Noodle is not a very fancy place but it trades all the glam in for a solid eating experience. You get great bang for your buck here with the portions being gigantic. The mini grocery is nice too stocked with things like spring roll wrappers and noodles that you can't get anywhere else in town. This is a no frills place with great food. I can't recommend this place enough!

This place is awesome. My only knock is the ambiance. But, we usually get take-out, and in that case, it is 5 stars. Though, if you eat in- the horse art is pretty rad. This place has huge servings, great prices, and something for everyone. My favorites are the Lemongrass Beef Bahn Mi (my all time favorite, actually) with pate and traditional vegetables, and the pad thai. If my husband and I get pad thai, it lasts us for like 4 days. Also, the spring rolls are TO DIE FOR. For the great prices, and being right by our house, this is just an awesome place. We've introduced this to some family from out of town, and they've all wanted to go back again and again. Absolutely phenomenal food. Go and try it, it won't disappoint!

The Pho broth didn't have a bad flavor, sliced beef was on the tuff side, and you pay extra for tripe, but I guess they showed there kindness by offering two choices, 2 dollar or 3 dollar quanities, such silliness. I guess it works in the zoo town. So a med bowl and hot tea (no green) total 15.00$ with tip.

If you are looking for a good cheap lunch or filling dinner this is the place. The Curry noodle chicken is amazing and they don't hold back on the portions. The staff is very nice.

It was a bit of a mixed bag. We ordered the pad thai, orange chicken, and won tons. The pad thai was the worst I have ever had (tasted like ketchup and noodles), but the orange chicken was one of the best I've ever had...a little hard to believe that both came from the same restaurant. The won tons were fresh and delicious. Were it not for the pad thai, I would rate it higher...so order something else with confidence and enjoy!

My step mom is vietnamese and her cooking skills are what drew in my father to marry her. They're in Seattle, however. Vietnamese cooking is very unique and delicious. Vietnam noodle is the best asian food in Montana. Period. It's about as authentic as it'll get aside from walking down the streets of Seattle.

Service is alright; their pho is pretty mediocre.

This place is probably ok by Missoula standards. I regularly eat Vietnamese food in Westminster, California (close to my work). There is a huge Vietnamese community there with a huge selection of Vietnamese restaurants. It did not measure up to what i am used to in terms of quality and taste. It also felt a bit like a Chinese restaurant due to some menu items (orange chicken, fried rice). Still, you wont havemany options for Vietnamese if you are in Missoula.

I love this place. The cook must put some extra love into the food because it always tastes delicious even though the place doesn't appear special as far as run-of-the mill asian restaurants go, Even though "Vietnam" is in the name of the place, it's not really a vietnamese restaurant - more like pan-asian. The little grocery on the side is nice to have. Missoula lacks good sources of asian ingredients so a trip here is always welcome for at home cooking adventures. It's good... for Missoula. The service is great too.

Let me start by saying that our waitress was nice n friendly.....I ordered the pho with flanks n it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I mean if you've never had pho before then this might be the best ever but if you've had pho from all over like me then the pho is just ahhhhh.

My experience here has been hit and miss. I've gotten chicken dishes here seemed to be based around hiding low quality meat by breading and frying the tar out of it, and then putting it in an overly powerful sauce that was FAR too sweet. And in my opinion the pad thai should not be consumed by anyone. HOWEVER... The chicken fried rice is fantastic. I don't know whether I had bad luck in ordering other items, or the chicken fried rice is a diamond in the rough. Admittedly, none of the items I ordered are traditional Vietnamese dishes (to my limited knowledge), but if it's on the menu, it should be good. The bottom line is that I would return for the rice, but nothing else. 12/7/12: Returned again today with a friend. I got the chicken curry soup with rice. Salty dish, but good! 4/20/13: Since I believe consistency is a huge deal for restaurants, I bring my last experience. Unfortunately this one was not as good as the last. I went for my favorite -- chicken fried rice-- and was disappointed. Few vegetables, light on chicken, relatively bland and the rice had that unfortunate glue-y consistency (no, not in a good way like sticky rice, like actual chewy, glue-y goodness). I took it home and choked it down with some soy sauce, but definitely not super happy with it. 7/20/2013: Last 2 visits have been fantastic. I'm going to leave off as "flip a coin." I keep returning, so it must be good enough.

Vietnam Noodle is the best-kept secret of Missoula. Feeling carnivorous? Try the grilled lemongrass beef with imperial roll & noodles (#38). For a mere $10 you get a generous serving of marinated thinly-sliced grilled beef atop rice noodles and shredded lettuce with one of their out-of-this world imperial rolls (they're deep-fried deliciousness!). Missoula restaurants aren't exactly vegetarian-friendly, but Vietnam Noodle is. They feature 22 vegetarian entrees ranging from tofu pho (#48 -- it's noodle soup with a whole lot of fried tofu in a super-delicious lemongrass broth) to curry vegetables to even more standard Chinese restaurant fare like veggies foo young and General tofu. One warning: you're very likely to become addicted. My husband and I are here at least once a week.

Oh wow. I just had their Pho with lemon grass. It is without a doubt the most delicious thing to pass over my palate in the past month. The flavors blend perfectly. It has a nice chili kick that doesnt overwhelm, but instead, enhances the freshness of the lemon grass. It is listed on the menu as served with beef, but you can substitute tofu if you prefer. The place itself is a little hard to find, as it's in the middle of an old strip mall, but just plug the address into your gps and turn into the parking lot on the east side of the street. It is phonomenal, pho sure.

I asked what was best and one of the items mentioned was the pho. I almost went with the more traditional beef pho but the waitress told me to get the won ton. Glad I did as the broth was delicous as were the won tons. The noodles were a bit doughy and soft but I am a tough reviewer as I have been to 100+ pho restaurants.

This place is ok but def not the best in Missoula. That title goes to the Vietnam grill place on north Higgins next to Jimmy johns and taco del sol.

Phenomenal!! I am originally from the West coast and have had many authentic Pho restaurants to choose from and this was, by far, the best Pho I've ever had! Service was great and I never expected Missoula to have great Pho so that was a plus!

Delicious! The pho was great, the bun was great and a few other dishes that i tried have been, well, great. What a relief to discover this place, we had worried if we would be able to fulfill our Vietnamese food cravings after having moved here from Seattle, and happy to say thisfit the bill! Plus a little market to boot - woo hoo!
