After looking at the previous reviews that complain about the slow service, and looking at the situation today, I gotta believe they've fixed the service problem. We were seated almost immediately, got coffee right away and the food came out pretty fast. Our server was cheery, attentive, and seemed to get along just fine with about half a dozen regulars who chatted her up on their way out. The place looked clean and tidy, but it was a bit chilly. Maybe we got there early enough that the heating system hadn't fired up? The food was good, but not fabulous. The hash browns could have spent a bit more time on the grill. They were more like hash goldens. They used some sort of cheese sauce inside my omelette. I would have preferred 'real' cheese. We were looking for a breakfast place that would get us back on the road as quick as possible, and IHOP filled the bill nicely. Not quite as fast as McDonald's, but you get a real breakfast here.

My first time trying IHOP in Missoula will be my last. Just walked out after waiting 15 minutes at a table without even being approached, given water.. Anything.

Worst IHOP we have ever been in. When we walked in, all we saw were dirty tables that had not been bussed. We should have left then, but the kids were hungry. We were eventually seated and then we waited for 10 minutes before I finally tracked down a waitress to take our order. The place was not busy--maybe 10 tables--but the server was in high stress mode and completely worthless. She brought my 12 year-old an orange juice in a tippy cup. Then finally brought out our breakfast in slow, painful phases. Orders were mixed up and food was cold. Now, I don't expect a 5-star experience at IHOP, but this was truly pathetic. The IHOP on Reserve in Missoula has ensured that we will never go to another IHOP ever again. When we paid and left, we counted 17 dirty, un-bussed tables and 6 tables with guests. Dining in filth is unacceptable even at IHOP! If I could give them zero stars, I would.

Worst service ever. The food is okay. However, they did try to convince me that hollandaise sauce is suppose to be lumpy. Service is so bad I almost walked out without paying having waited 30 minutes after asking for the check and the worst part - they weren't even busy

Worst service I've ever had!!! The waitress immediately was rude to us. Just came up to the table and said "what do you want." Nothing else. The only thing decent about the place was the burger.

Philly cheese steak sub par at best. is it to much to ask for real cheese on my Philly cheese steak not that crap that's presliced and 50% vegetable oil?!?!. Also got less than a handful of fries maybe 20 fries at best...I paid nine dollars for this?!?!?

My boyfriend and I stopped at IHOP in Zoo, because he always loves breakfast anytime of day, and I don't. This way he could indulge his breakfast craving, but I could find a lunch item. Took awhile to get seated. Even though the assistant manager saw us standing up front and made eye contact, he turned and headed for the kitchen, ignoring us for a good two or three minutes before finally coming to greet us. We were just about ready to leave and go somewhere else. He seated us, cracking a lame joke. We were treated to his "comedy" routine as we dined, overhearing him repeatedly making more lame jokes with the other tables he seated. Took way too long for the waitress to come and get our order. Probably at least 10 minutes. Again, we considered leaving to dine somewhere else. The food took quite awhile to come out of the kitchen. Considering we were one of about 6 tables total, all small groups, I don't think it warranted a 35 minute wait. And when the food arrived, it was sub par. The cheese on my boyfriends omelet looked like the cook had just tossed a handful all over it, without even trying to melt it. Surprising, considering how long it took to get the food, you'd figure the cheese would be at least partially melted from just sitting there. But...no. My burger was good, although no tomato, no pickles. Just the burger and a soggy lettuce leaf? Weak. The seasoned fries were good, even though they were cold. They earned the second star for this review. Now take the wait at the front to be seated, the wait for our order to be taken, the wait for our food and top it off with having to wait to pay our check! The server dropped off the bill and said she would be our cashier at the table. We got out the money, and waited. And waited. And waited some more. We stood up and put our coats on, and waited. And waited. And waited some more. Probably a good four or five employees including Chuckles the jokey assistant manager, just watched us standing there. Like, "Durp." We finally got Chuckles to take our money and go hunt down our server for change. When our server got back with the change, she seemed very flustered. The customer at the booth next to us was rudely trying to interrupt her from cashing us out to order himself some toast. She muttered something about the rudeness of that, which although I agreed, was awkward for me because I'm sure that guy overhead it. We tipped her and took off for the car, the fastest we'd been able to move since arriving at IHOP. Overall, very sloooooooow. Do not go there if you're in a hurry. Unprofessional workers, even for IHOP. Pretty obvious there's not a lot of teamwork. Lots of employees wandering around, too bad none are willing to help out customers or each other. We won't be back.

This is by far one of the worst IHOPs I have ever been to. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND CRAPPY FOOD!!!!! Go to Cracker Barrell or Perkins if you want better service and food..

Very poor quality food. The sandwich (roast beef) was lukewarm, and the chicken noodle soup had lettuce in it... who puts lettuce in soup, anyways? To make matters worse, they didn't have any gravy or au jus, either, as they don't carry it anymore. The server tried to do his best, but as I heard him talking with another guest that came in; it was clear that the "glory days" of this particular I Hop are long gone, and as a long time employee that he really didn't give a hoot about his job anymore anyways with the way the restaurant was going.

This place is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. Today was bad. My boyfriend ordered the New York cheesecake pancakes without the 'fresh' strawberry topping. He has ordered this in the past, the exact same way and had no problems. Today it came with absolutely no toppings-no sauce, no cream. The top two pancakes were buttermilk, not cheesecake. I ordered chicken strips and fries. I expected for almost $9 that there would be a good portion size. Wrong. Tiny chicken strips and about ten French fries. The waitress asked when she took my order if I wanted ranch dressing, I said yes. The plate came with honey mustard. In the past I've ordered the chocolate pancakes and that became a bad idea after they messed those up as well. The hostess stand was also not friendly and the 'manager' or whoever he is looks greasy and unpresentable. Go to Denny's instead. The manager is way nice and the portions are huge.

The best tip I can give is to go to Perkins and get real food and way better service. I will never eat at a I hop again! It was the worst service I have ever experienced.

Pedge is the best waitress EVER. I had a few special requests on my order, and I heard her reminding the cook of my specifics. She is very attentive and hard working. The restaurant is clean. Bathrooms are clean. I was seated promptly. Thank you Pedge!!!

Christmas dinner at an IHOP was not something I'd ever dreamed of. Not a fan of IHOP, and not a fan of pancakes. But we were on the road the whole day and desperately needed a place to be open on dec 25th! So it had to be IHOP. To make things worse, I was pmsing, and all I wanted to do was to shovel loads of sweet stuff into my mouth. That's exactly what I did. My food review is unlikely to be objective, but I can say something about the staff---they were amazing! One of the kindest, warmest, and welcoming people I'd met on this road trip. Our waiter, Jared, was patient, enthusiastic, and prompt. I'm happy to have spent my christmas with the IHOP staff. Nevermind how the food was.
