Finally a good Mexican restaurant in Helena. Love the food here. On another note has anyone ever ate a sopito here? I have tried to order it at least three times, they are always out. Take it off the menu!

Food was excellent, I thought the meats were seasoned very well, and the rice and beans were much better than similar restaurants. The one issue I had was the wait time, I went on my lunch hour and was a little late getting back. It was very apparent it was a new restaurant by the total confusion and lack of organization amongst the staff. That being said, I recognize they are new and probably need to work a few kinks out as well as just get the hang of things. I will definitely go back, just maybe not when I'm in a hurry, until they've been open a while longer.

Six adults ate at this restaurant yesterday and all of us had a different item. Every one of us thought the food was excellent. The prices were also very good. This is a great place to have a good Mexican meal. I have eaten in most of the other Mexican places in town, also all over the country, and find this the best in Helena. I will definitely go back. The building does not bother me at all, I want good Mexican food.

Foreign foods are my favorite and this was my first time here. As a fine dining service industry employee for multiple years, I'm picky about service so understand that I'm pretty critical. My server was pleasant. She recommended the carne asada burrito and it was pretty good. I wasn't disappointed in the size or flavor. Not mind blowing, but good. My only down side was the standard service requirements such as refilled water and checking in. Maybe she didn't ask because I was busy stuffing my face. Its all good. I'll return any time I want Mexican.

Meh. For 25 years I have tried to adhere to my rule to avoid Mexican food north of Nevada or east of Texas. A visit here for lunch does not call for me to rethink that rule, despite the positive reviews here.

We were excited to finally try this place out, but that excitement quickly gave way to disappointment. The staff was disorganized, but friendly. We placed drink and food orders promptly. My margarita was delicious, but outrageously overpriced. They don't have prices on their drink menu for a reason, folks. Listen- I've lived in a lot of expensive places (England, NYC). I'm fine for paying for quality. However, I'm going to have to say $14 for a tiny margarita in Helena, Montana is just insane. Then the food came. I ordered the chile relleno and tamale combo, and both were so tiny that when they set my plate down, I thought they had mixed up my order. Obviously somebody had given me two cheese wraps instead. Alas, this was not the case. For just roughly $11, I got bite sized food and a watery portion of tasteless rice and beans. The bf ordered the combo plate that allowed him to try a bit of everything. He was equally unimpressed. (I will say, however, that he actually had a respectable amount of food). He ordered a side of sour cream because some of the items were a little dry. Buyer beware, they will charge you $2 for this. My recommendation is to skip this place and go to one of the many other places in town. It's a better choice for your wallet and your taste buds.

The best Mexican food in Helena and I've tried them all. Their staff is very courteous and attentive. The food is always piping hot very flavorful and a lot to eat for the price. Watch out for the margaritas they pack a punch. The building lacks ambiance but the food make up for that.

Friend recommended they ate here three times in two weeks. Greeted and seated I was waiting for two to join me. ordered house margarita for less then six dollars. I know the drink prices are not listed just ask. Large menu with many options. waitress brought chips and two kinds of salsa while I waited. My friends joined me and ordered drinks everyone enjoyed the margaritas. We placed our orders and more chips and salsa came out. Our dinners came out fast and hot and nicely plated. My combo plate of shredded beef taco and enchiladas were nicely seasoned and the refried beans good. had leftovers for lunch. Attentive waitress, clean pleasant decor. Will go back and recommend to others. Group con census better than the last time we went to Emilianos. so give it try! PS sopita crossed off menu.

I love Mexican Food from this region of Mexico! This is the real deal. You can't go wrong with any of the house specials. I only wish Fiesta Mexicana would offer a daily special because it is so hard for me to choose for myself with all the options. My husband & I always select different dishes so we can eventually try them all. So far we have never been disappointed. Service always friendly and attentive. Just set back and enjoy your meal when you go to Fiesta Mexicana!

First, the service was outstanding! They were almost annoying asking to see if they could help us. But they stopped at letting us eat our meal. We all just had basic meals to see how it was. They could use a little more flavor in the meats for us. Maybe one more choice for a hot sauce or salsa. The refried beans and rice were just perfect. The restaurant area itself could use an update, if you ate at the last restaurant you feel as if they never changed hands. I would go back.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
