It seems like they just reopened, and based off the previous reviews with a different attitude. The staff was very nice. They actually came to our table twice to make sure the food was good. That's amazing for a fast food restaurant. The sandwiches were tasty, though they did seem a little over priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant was reminiscent of a Quadoba, Quiznos, or Pita Pit. All in all a quick good place to eat.

Average sandwich shop. Food taste great though the "grilled chicken" on the salad I had tasted straight out of a bag and the service is about as much as one can expect from a crew of people not excited at all about their job. If there was even the slightest amount of enthusiasm in this place I could give it 4 stars....but not yet....Maybe one day I can update this review

This place wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The staff seemed distracted, and to be honest, they were forgettable. I ordered the Yard Bird, which had chicken, mustard, apples, spinach and bacon on it. The mix of flavors was complex, and they all worked well together. The multi-grain bread was overbearing and dry, but all in all, the sandwich was tasty and decent sized. It came with a side of pasta salad that needed salt to wake it up. The "spicy" pickle was limp, soggy, had no snap, and was just a cheap pickle as far as I could tell. There were a few more menu items I saw the enticed me, but I doubt I will visit this place again.

For anoyone local to Billings, there is a well known sandwich shop called the Pickle Barrel. The Pickle Barrel is by far one of the best sandwich shops in town! Do not be confused, the Spicy Pickle is clearly one of the worst. Mom and I stopped in for lunch around the Holidays. The staff were all completely unengaged and had much more pressing things to attend to like gossipsing, packing cigarettes and swearing in front of toddlers and couldn't be bothered to provide any level of service. The restaurant claims to use the best quality ingredients and focused on delivering a high quality experience. While the restaurant appears to have potential based on the decor and the marketing items, the food was terrible. I had a pizza, mom had a sandwich, both equally unedible. The icing on the cake was when a less than professional young lady asked us if we wanted boxes while texting on her phone. We both replied absolutely not and instead of ask if everythign was ok, she shrugged and walked away. Next time we'll go to the Pickle Barrel!

I went to the Spicy Pickle at this location yesterday for lunch. It is now open again. I understand why they have a hard time keeping it open. I had a Italian panini and I really didn't care for it. The taste was awful. I can't describe it. It left such a bad taste in my mouth the entire day. It was also slimy and the meat was so stringy and chewy. I did like the spicy picky though. The only reason it is getting two stars is the gentleman who took my to go order was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I won't be back no really didn't like the food

I drive by all the time and keep saying "I have to try it," well today my mom and I had lunch. I was super excited to get a free soda when I checked in on yelp (even more so when the total came up) Considering what your getting, it's very over priced. We had potato soup in a bread bowl, and a flat bread pizza and paid for 1 drink. Our total was $20 and some odd cents :( so as I said it's kinda spendy. Back to the food. The soup and bread bowl was AMAZING. Hands down, if I go back this is what I will get. They have 3 different kinds of soup to choose from. However, they forget my pickle. Sad face. My mom had the meaty flat bread pizza. It's a really good size. I think 2 people could share it easily. However, it's kinda lacking flavor so that was a bummer. The service was great. They were super friendly and helpful explaining everything since it was our first time. They made the wrong flatbread and offered to let us snack on it while they made the correct one. We don't like feta (which this had) so we declined but it looked pretty yummy (if you like feta). I will probably go back.

We've tried just about everything on the menu and while most of it is pretty good (and all of it is fresh), it's not all worth getting again. If you get one thing, make it the Napa flatbread. The crust is fantastic, thin and crispy but not to the point of being a cracker. The char on the bottom is great. The spicy ranch isn't really spicy at all but it is the perfect complement to the toppings, which are thankfully not piled two inches high. It comes in about a 9x10" rectangle and is plenty to feed one moderately hungry adult or two adults looking for a light lunch. The light piadinas are exactly that: light. We tried the Emilia. Great flavors, although a bit sweet, but with only prosciutto, fig spread, roasted red peppers, goat cheese, and spinach, it's only about as thick as an iPhone and not very filling. Their paninis are a little boring but generously sized. The South Side is full of stringy roast beef, so distracting it was difficult to focus on the flavors. The Italian is as you'd imagine with nothing worthy of remembering. The Adobe is delicious but the corn relish falls off as soon as you pick it up. The Bandido is the best. The peppered turkey, in conjunction with the pepperjack cheese and chipotle mayo, keeps everything from being bland, as so many turkey sandwiches can be. They're a little heavy handed with the red bell peppers, which does give it an unfortunate texture. The sides are served in what most places would use as sauce cups. They're all mediocre at best so the tiny portions aren't a big deal. Even if you skip the itty bitty sides, make sure you try the pickle. Overall, it's not a bad place for a nice, healthier lunch alternative. We'd recommend stopping in if you happen to be driving by.

Today was my second visit to Spicy Pickle. The staff is very helpful, the menu clearly displayed. Questions concerning items were promptly and eagerly responded to. The order took less than 15 min.

Highly recommend this restaurant. For a fast, gourmet lunch or dinner at a good price this is the spot. Great selection of unique sandwich and panini options with fresh ingredients that are made to order. Restaurant was clean and the staff was attentive and friendly.
