I used to really enjoy going to Old Chicago to have meals with friends and watch sports on the tvs. My last three experiences were so awful that I will not return again. All three times I have found an empty table in the bar area and had to wait about 15 minutes for it to be cleaned. And that is after having to ask four different people. Service a terribly slow and had to wait a VERY long time for our food. Once i got the food i had to send it back several times due to it being burnt to a crisp. I am not a pickt eater and i do not send food back for slight errors but the food was seriously not edible. Also, when my friend ordered a beer, it still had lipstick on the glass from the person who drank from it previously.

Not a good experience two nights in a row. Tried to eat there and was told not enough servers . We choose to eat at others people.

$20+ dollars for a pizza, when I could have bought one out of a WalMart freezer for under half the price. You're a chain but seriously take some personal pride. Never again.

Being from Chicago and on vacation is a real eye-opener that us Chicagoans are super spoiled when it comes to food. After a few days of having buffalo burgers and less than appetizing food, Old Chicago was a nice change. I had the chicken pizza - It was so good I ate the whole thing. The pesto was amazing and I wish I could get some right now. Husbo had the spaghetti and meatballs. Although it was nothing like you'll get in Chi-town, the sauce was tasty and the meatball was pretty good. Love all the beers they have available.

We waited over an hour for our food. Do not order the calamari, you get about five pieces!! Felt bad for the wait staff as they were having to make up for the kitchen staff! Inexcusable for a restaurant to take 1 hour for 2 child portions of spaghetti and small pizza!!

Ok did a comparison of old Chicago and bullmans it was very close it's personal taste. Chicago has several great beers on draft and a pizza that is pretty good. You have one that is wood fired the other oven cooked. My wife liked the beer selection and flavors of ingredient. My personal taste is wood fired and ingredients so with both neck and neck in taste it will come down to either who's driving our switching off. Both are good and you need to decide which your taste buds want

I think that Old Chicago is a great place for both food and drinks I love to go during their happy hour 4-6pm cause you get half price drinks and appetizers, and their stuffed meatballs I could eat them for hours!! Also they have an amazing pomegranate mojito me and my husband have to be careful cause we could spend all our money shoving their food in our face!!

First time to an Old Chicago, very pleasant experience. Nice decor, great selection of beers, food and portions were very good.

Tried this place for the first time with some friends. The pizza was not as good as expected but the worst part was the absolute terrible service we got. It took our server about 20 minutes to bring our dessert because he forgot to put the order in.

Pretty good deep dish pizza. Great service and a fun atmosphere. Had the deep dish supreme with extra garlic. This a really heavy pizza. One or two slices and the belly is full. Not bad for a chain restaurant.

Before I start this review I have to ask, "What is the deal with all the pizza places in Billings? ". There are two on every corner. The real Chicago doesn't have this many. Pizza and service were good. Nothing to really complain about just as there is not anything exceptional about it. Would eat there again.

The atmosphere is nice. Typical franchise sports bar. Pleasant staff. Not dirty. Manager popped in to check on us, I like that. Pizza comes in squares, nothing noteworthy. I'm typing to type really. Yelp wants me to support my review. TRY THE ITALIAN NACHOS! All I gotta say

Really wanted to give this place 4 stars, but the service wasn't so fantastic, cooking the pizza took waay too long, so 3.5 stars. Other than that (and the fact that they dare call a room with only keno and poker machines a casino), the food was BOMB. I got the chicken pesto artisan style pizza. It was huuge and so filling. The chicken wasn't dry, I could see and taste the layer of pesto underneath the ooey gooey cheese, which wasn't too salty, just perfect, the caramelized onions balanced out the richness of the pizza beautifully, and the crust was amazing, kind of thick, but not chewy, and a little crisp. Soo good. I tried a bit of my boo's fisherman's catch (of course), which was basically fish and chips with some fried butterflied shrimp. The coating on the fish was nice and crispy, with just a hint of beer, and the fish itself was nice and firm, not falling apart. The fries were just eh, I've had much better. Now, the cool part of this dish was that I hate shrimp, I hate it, I don't know why, but I do. But, I absolutely loooved the shrimp in this basket. It wasn't oily or overly coated and the shrimp had a very nice texture and kind of sweet flavor. The tartar sauce was nice and creamy, and not overly tartar-y. I'll definitely come back to this place if I ever stop by Billings again. Eat here, not at the airport in Billings. It's just a little off the (90 west?) freeway.

Good food, great service... We've been there 3 times and have not once been disappointed. The servers are always smiling. Micayla was our server today and even though we showed her a 2.00 off coupon and she forgot to apply it to the bill and we didn't realize until later, it was ok because she kept refilling my husband's ice tea before he would have to ask. Also, the manager working today(can't remember his name) came over to our table and asked how the good was and took away an empty plate.....

We stopped in here with a gift certificate we received. Our first time to an Old Chicago. We liked it. Sat in the bar area, watched a little hockey. The staff was eager to find our game, which was nice. I ordered the Mediterranean salad, my husband had a medium pizza. Okay, I did have a little of the pizza as well, just to taste. Was pretty good, I am not a great pizza critic, but my salad was awesome. Lots of great taste sensations, and just lightly oiled. Yelp check in saved us some $$.

For whatever reason (ok, it's the beer selection) the bar seems to be THE place to hang out in Billings. Packed almost every night! If you've been to an Old Chicago restaurant before, then this place will come as no surprise. It's as good as any I've been to. That being said, it's not the greatest place to dine. Why do we go here so often then you ask? Fantastic children's menu!! My kids love this place. They give it 5 stars. Of course, they give darned near every restaurant 5 stars. :-/ What shines about this place is not the food, but the beer selection. It's wonderful. Absolutely the best in town by far.... maybe the state... unless there's other Old Chicago's in Montana. Staying positive, I would also like to mention that we've never had poor service here either. We've had average service, but in Billings, MT, average means "outstanding". The staff is friendly. Always friendly. And that right there is worth the trip for us. Ok, negative time. Their wine selection flat out sucks! They do NOT have a red wine that anyone other than a hobo can choke down. Luckily, they only sell their swill by the glass so you don't end up in that awkward situation of having to deny an entire bottle. There's nothing notable or special about the food other than to say it's consistent, which, again, is pretty darn good for Billings, MT. If you're a traveler stuck at one of the few hotels near Old Chicago, you could do much worse. In fact, I'd rather eat here than down the block at Jake's fine dining. If you're a business traveler, show up early, belly up to the bar, and enjoy a drink, an appetizer and whatever game is being televised. ___________________ Edit, the manager contacted me and offered free children's coupons. +1 star for that gesture!! Thanks Jessica!!

I had the "Meat Me" Calzone. It was like a meat filled dough piñata the meat just kept falling out. My wife had a create your own deep dish individual pizza. She was very happy with the results. Kelsey was our server. She was very attentive and personable. A great representative for the restaurant!

Found pretty good salads for a pizza place! Our waitress was friendly as well. The clam chowder however lacked any clams and was potato heavy.

The Mac and cheese aint what you think-I thought it was the worse ever. Other wise we like the place

Thank you Old Chicago. Hubby and I arrived 7:30 Friday night. You guys were slamming but you seated us in about 1 minute. Food was fantastic and our server was great too. I have alway had a good experience here but this time was EXCEPTIONAL.

I've never had a bad experience here. The food is really good, the kids menu is awesome and the variety of food they offer is really good. I've never had bad service here, but the wine selection is horrible. I wish they'd offer something drinkable in that area.

They have gotten the rough spots ironed out since they have been in business for a while now. Best selection of tap beers in Billings.. no one else is even close and and definitely the only place to get a German beer on tap within 800 miles. Food is good and fairly fast... excellent Italian nachos.

This is the first Old Chicago I've ever been to. I was disappointed by the food, but incredibly impressed by the beer selection. I know it's their gimmic to have lots of beers (110, in fact) but I was still surprised at the quality of the selection. They had Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout! Even though I didn't order it, availibility of Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout elevates the 2 star pizza, pasta, and salad I did order. Why 2 star? Bland bland bland, oily oily oily. Also I'm not sure what is "Chicago" about it besides the word "chicago" everywhere on the walls.

There were 4 of us and we had the following: Italian sandwich which had very good taste but was very greasy on the bottom in the basket which made the bread a little soggy. Fires with a dipping sauce were outstanding. Broccoli chicken alfredo mac and cheese was very good. Individual deep dish cheese pizza was good and very cheesy. A Meat Me Calzone that was also tasty but very greasy. Our server was outstanding. Take away some of the grease and a 5 star rating is there.

Ok....the food (most of the time) is amazing!!! So many things on the menu that I would highly recommend!! Like the double deckoroni pizza! And the Italian nachos!! But...sometimes I order something and it's just obvious that it's lacking. Like the pesto macaroni I got the other night, it needed about 3x the amount of cheese sauce that it was given. Really dry and bland. :-/ made me so sad. Also, customer service is one of the worse here. Especially if u come in for a later dinner (since they are open later then almost all other restaurants in the city). Your normally greeted by a younger person, usually teenage ish. And half the staff you see tends to be kids...perhaps that's the problem here? But there is some adult servers. We came for a late dinner just days ago, and we stood at the front desk waiting for about 5 mins. Waiting patiently as 2 young girl employees sat at a booth table chatting, while glancing over at us every few seconds. Just when i was about to scream like a 4 year old that's hungry, the two girls finally came to greet us. Did I mention the restaurant was completely empty at this time, so it was just us. After we were finally greeted, I had to argue with them to "allow" us to be seated on the restaurant side, and not the bar side. They insisted that we not dirty up their already clean restaurant side. I explained that as a pregnant woman, I would rather not sit with loud and belligerent drunks (that I could see from the doorway already). She fought with me for about 5 mins on this, before she finally sat us on the correct side. Following the seating issues, overall service from the waitress was horrible. She literally took our order while standing there glaring. She never gave us refills at her request. We had to ask for everything, but not before playing hide and go seek of trying to find her first! And it took about 40 mins to get a side of ranch....in an empty restaurant. The customer service deserves a 1 star rating. The food deserves a 4 star rating. That's why we prefer takeout food from here. You can get the great food! And skip the snotty service. And you don't have to tip for takeout. ;-)

I went there for dinner last night and had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated in the dining room since the bar was full. Over half of the seats in the dining room were empty and the hostess informed us that they aren't seating anyone until the 3 waitresses were caught up. We decided to leave but the hostess decided to seat us. Well the food was not the greatest. I use to enjoy going to Old Chicago but the last 2 experiences have been quite bad. I went in after the remodel and our pizza came out black and burnt. I had to find our waitress and who blamed the new oven and wanted to know what we wanted done. We finally got a pizza that wasn't burnt and then I asked if they would discount it and was told that the manager would talk with us. Finally we got it discounted but talk about bad service and food. We have a Pizza Ranch in town who has better pizza than Old Chicago. Next time I am heading to Pizza Ranch or even a frozen pizza.

Horrid service. Waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our food and it was cold and the wrong order. Also bad to go back into the kitchen for silverware because waitress was overburdened and couldn't get for us.
