My family and I had dinner and it was great! The gal we had as a server was so energetic and helpful! She even kept conversation with my three year old (which is not an easy feat) overall we loved it and will be back!

Well we thought we would try it one last time. Big mistake. The bar tender just disappeared after getting us our drinks and food order. They brought our appetizer not good. Brought us the wrong pizza the first time. Got it right the 2nd time. Was not busy. Service has gone way down hill. And food is not far behind. Use to be a good place to eat. We are done with this place. Find some place else people.

This place has gone down hill. Used to be one of my favorites. Food was cold. We were there for over an hour and tables around us were never bussed. My fish was charcoal can't believe they served it.

This is a solid (but not stellar) option for pizza. We were just passing through, so I am not sure how this compares to other pizza in Billings, but we felt that it was a good (but not great) dining experience. I have a diary allergy, so I was ecstatic that there was a place with soy cheese. My husband eats everything, so this seemed like a great place to satisfy both of us. The menu had a good number of options of pizza, salads, sandwiches, and appetizers. My husband got the 'rollino' and the chili and I got the caribbean pizza (with soy cheese). My pizza had a good flavor (although not amazing.) The crust (I choose thin crust) had a good flavor and a perfect crisp to it. My husband enjoyed both of his dishes, but he also mentioned that it didn't 'wow' him. In general, if you are really craving pizza this seems like a solid option in Billings, but I think there are better options if you would like something else.

I use to love MRP's Alfredo sauce. The flavor is still there but the cook forgot how to make it. Or they microwaved it. Butter separated from the cream. But still was good, just not amazing like it use to be.

This review is disappointing to write as I have been going to MRP since I moved to Billings in 2007. When I first started coming here, you knew all of the staff and they made you feel welcomed. I have to say that I believe it began when the company turned into a money hungry corporation who treated their employees terrible that this place has turned into a complete dump. The food and service has become sub par but due to loyalty and location I seem to come back, each time wondering why? I hate saying such unkind words but somehow I hope it will improve their business so they can get back to the Restaraunt I once enjoyed.

Some of the better pizza in Billings. The Hot Hawaiian is a definite favorite. Generally good beer taps, too, featuring a variety of MT breweries. For sure one of the best places to grab a bite to eat in the Heights.

The last 3 times I've come here on a Sunday it takes a good hour (or 2, when I had a group of 7) to get our food. I don't recommend coming here if you have a big group, because it takes so long. Very frustrating.

Very good thin crust pizza. The side salad was good and surprisingly had pears in it. Betty was our server and she was very pleasant and always making sure we had everything we needed.

I called up Mackenzie River Pizza from Chico, California to make a reservation. I honestly did not know what to expect but the manager (I believe his name was Rich) was so helpful and set us up with a reservation for Friday at 7:00. We got to the place 15 minutes late on Friday but they accommodated us pretty quick. We had to wait, no more than 10 minutes before they could seat our whole group (18) and even though the wait was short, the manager apologized and brought us out some free cheese bread sticks to munch on (which tasted amazing). Once we were seated the food was delivered in a decently prompt fashion which our athletes appreciated. Being cross country runners, they are constantly hungry and can get impatient when it comes to food at times so the quick serves did not go unnoticed. The waitress was very nice and continuously checked on us. To give you an idea of how often she would come by I can tell you that one runner on the team got a glass of lemonade which she had refilled 5 times. I've never been to dinner with anyone who has had that many refills in one sitting, perhaps this is because no one needs that much, but regardless I was impressed with how on top of everything she was. The food itself was amazing! Each bite burst with flavor and had me excited for the next. I also could not believe how cheap everything was. Nearly every meal I looked at was 10 dollars give or take a buck. Also, at the end of the meal, they even offered to fill up anyone's water bottle on the team (seeing as everyone on the team carries it around to stay hydrated). Amazing service, cheap prices, and delicious food. 5/5 Stars without a doubt. Must try.

That was some of the worse food we have had in a while. Living in Great Falls for 7 years we thought after being gone for the last 5 we would go back for some great food... Boy we were wrong! We ordered a kids pizza, Willow creek sandwich and another small pizza. The kids pizza was so gross I let my kid eat just fries for dinner. It was soaking in grease and tasted like a frozen pizza. My sandwich was soggy and it was suppose to have avocado on it. The tiny price was so small I had to take apart the entire thing to find one of the main ingredients! Sad day

Excuse me.... pardon, sorry. Don't mind me as I push my way through to the front of the line. I'm a huge pizza fan. My in laws took us here a week or so ago. And this has become my new favorite pizza place. Everything was absolutely perfect. And CHEAP!!!! 2 lg pizzas, and drinks for 4 under $50. Yes please!!!! Cannot wait to go again to try their bbq pizza!!!

Great atmosphere in this place. The service is always excellent and the food is great. My 9 year old daughter loves eating here even though it does not specifically target children The pizza is awesome and you can't go wrong with their sandwiches.

This is a pub/bar chain restaurant located in the Target plaza. The inside of the restaurant looks really cute with fish, bull and bear decorations. The dishes were a little pricier. There were a few fish and vegetarian options, including a vegetarian wrap sandwich, fish tacos, fish and chips and pizzas. We only ordered two appetizers which were filling enough for both of us. We got the fish tacos and nachos which were both really delicious especially the salsa. We didn't have a chance to have anything to drink, but the restaurant had a lot on draft including a few beers brewed for the restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly. Even though the restaurant was a chain, there seemed to be more creative meals not characteristic of other chains.

The food was not great, on par with AppleBee's, and some dishes came out cold. The pizza and beer was decent but I wouldn't go back. The service was VERY SLOW.

I like this Bilings location as much as the original Bozeman location. Why? 1) Staff are always friendly. (I am from San Francisco, California, and I find that MT folks are amazing); 2) Fast service. 3) We really like their thin crust pizzas (that's the only thing we ever order) when we eat. We especially appreciate the corn meal crust. I highly recommend MacKenzie River PIzza for think crust. Will go back to the Bozeman or Billings location anytime.

One of the highlights for me on a recent trip to Montana. My roomie is from there and said this was one of the places we needed to visit. The crust here is fantastic and everything was just yum. We ended up in the bar, which was cool (it had this stone-like bar top...hey, I thought it was cool) and the service was very friendly. I also had my first sip of a Monatana brewery beer...didn't care for it but other than that, I'd go back!

There's something about MacKenzie River Pizza for me. It likely has something to do with the murky haze that constituted my entire college experience in Bozeman, Montana -- the town that MacKenzie started out in. So many days book-ended by pizza of one kind or another... warm pizza pie (often in box) for dinner with my dorm buddies; cold leftovers in the morning before class (if I even decided to go). And MacKenzie River was always the most memorable pie! These days, I don't get to go back to Bozeman much (unfortunately), but I still make it to Billings once a year and always grab a pizza here the first or second night. Their Thai pie is fantastic! The crust is just the right balance between chewy and crispy, and has a character of its own. Out-of-state friends I share their pizza with are almost always very impressed with what MacKenzie River has cooked up. All in a state which has (trust me) lots of terrible pizza. One of these days, I'll have to get back to Bozeman and recreate the waking-up-in-unknown-dorm-beer-bottles-and-pizza-boxes-pile-who-is-this-strange-person? experience and see if it still has that same romantic appeal...

I love coming home knowing I get to go to MacKenzie River Pizza Co. I like the fact that it is Montana Based. I have been going to the Mac Riv for as long as its been open down the road. I definitely have my favorites however all of the food and ingredients are delicious and I've never had a bad meal there. For starters, I like to get the Lodge pole's, Fresh baked natural grain sticks with melted cheese on top and served with marinara, they are delicious and always fresh baked. Another starter to recommend would have to be the Caribbean style Jerk Wings, the flavor is unlike any other wing I've ever had (AMAZING) The Flathead Pizza is one of the best white sauce pizza's I've ever had the natural crust blends with the Alfredo and then you get the melted Marinara topped with chicken, bacon, spinach tomatoes, and mushrooms. Grab a Moose Drool and you will be in Big Sky Bliss!

Spent a lot of time at this place while working in Billings. The staff has always been very attentive and friendly. The have a great variety of food and reasonable prices. It is an equally great atmosphere for cocktails as well as food with the family. They have a wide variety of local micro brews, just ask. Can't go wrong with Mackenzie River.

Don't have the time to review crap. This place was overpriced (paying for the nice decor) and the food was just awful. I ordered the meatball sub. The meatballs were pre-made frozen (or at least tasted as if) - they were overly soft, not very meaty and were served with the insides cold. The sauce was overly sweet. Pizza was bland, not worth coming back for, SMALL considering the high price. Overall a disappointing experience.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
