This place has some real Thai cooking for sure. I had the jungle curry with a side of rice and it sufficed. Thai coffee was sub par- deathly sweet. This places spice level is off the chain so be careful what you wish for.

This place is amazing! Moved here from California and before that I was in Hawaii so I know good Thai! This place is definitely up there with the best!

This was hands down one of the best meals I have had. I went with my best friend we had the pineapple curry and spicy chicken. Both were delicious! Perfect portions, great service! I can't wait to go again!

I have ate thai food all over the U.S. and nothing has ever come close to their crispy tofu

I have lunch here about twice a month and eat dinner here occasionally. I especially love the green curry and chili mint leaf chicken. The people are nice. The prices are reasonable and food is always fresh.

Way better Thai food than all the other Thai places in Billings. I have tried every one of them. This place, although not impressive on the inside, has the best food. Panang curry is what I usually get and Cham Thai's is the best here. This is the only place in Billings I can get my Thai fix. I just call in my order and pick it up on my way home, it's always ready in about 15 minutes.

3.5 stars. Plenty of lunch specials, and for the quality of the main entree, you can't beat the price ($7.25). The specials come with salad (about as much lettuce as I put on my burger) and soup (maybe 3 shots of soup). Soup and salad were unremarkable. The Chicken Cashew (medium spicy) was very tasty; the steamed rice looked like it had been steamed quite some time ago (at least an hour). Portions are small (compared to the portions that made the U.S. an obesity problem). Staff is friendly.

We just moved to Billings from Houston. We were really concerned about being able to find good Thai food, but this place is amazing! All of the ingredients were fresh, the sodium content was exceptionally low (considering) and it was absolutely delicious. We like our food spicy, and were concerned about them being able to make it spicy here, but we were so pleasantly surprised. We can't wait to go back. So good. This will definitely be our eat-out-in go-to.

Found this place while wandering around Billings on a recent visit. My dad and I had been looking for Asian food, and it looked very welcoming, so we went on in and had a seat. The place was very festive - lots of decorations, lamps, etc. Considering the decor otherwise (bland walls, dull carpet), this made it a lot more appealing. We were served water right away and the waitress took our order quickly. And then the food came. Oh my, the food. We were both very pleased with the portion sizes and the flavor of our dishes. My dad has a lot of trouble eating spicy food and so he'd asked that his be mild. He was not disappointed - the sauce did not make him miserable, but was still very flavorful. When we needed more rice, the waitstaff was very attentive and brought it immediately. Overall: good prices, yummy food.

I didn't really like my order of Phad Thai. It seemed like they gave me the leftovers from someone else's dinner. It was takeout, and it came inside a styrofoam box, and in that, it was partially inside tinfoil. No lime, only 2 strips of chicken breast, no bean sprouts, and yes, small portions. There was a strong candied garlic taste which I don't recall ever experiencing in Phad Thai before. It did have what I think were home made noodles, and they were very good, but not fresh, and they weren't hot. I also got Chicken Sauté, but they weren't hot or fresh, and the peanut dip had the same flavor as one I got from "A Taste of Thai" that came from a bottle I bought from an online store. And even though I got 2 orders of them, they put them in one box, and only gave me one little condiment cup of dipping sauce that I had to share with my friend (we were not the kissing type of friends either) and one little cup of cucumber salad. Two orders should mean TWO DIPPING, AND TWO CUCUMBER SALAD CUPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All in all, I could see why when I walked in to pick up my takeout, there were no customers. This place was a total fail. If I ever go back to Billings and want food that I cannot get where I live, I think I'll look elsewhere.

We got take out here last week on a Friday night, and the food was delicious. They have a lot of tofu options. I feel like they're pretty flexible and will substitute it in a lot of the meals. The Pad Thai is the kind with the thicker noodles--really delicious. They had an interesting crispy fish filet dish that I'm not used to at Thai places. I had to wait a few extra minutes which is normal for a Friday, and the waitress was really good about getting it out quickly once I got there. The prices were fairly cheap and the portions were on the smaller side, but still enough for a meal. I would like to eat at the restaurant next time.

Just moved to Billings and have been trying out the few different Thai places to see where my go-to will be. I'm from the NYC area so I'm admittedly a food snob so I like good quality food. However, there is one thing that I look for in every Thai restaurant I have ever gone to which makes or breaks the experience and guarantees it's authenticity: fresh, fresh, fresh ingredients. This place hit that spot on. Best Tom Yum soup I've ever had with crisp but perfectly cooked veggies and delicious, lightly fried tofu (got the veg option). Also it was definitely big enough for two to share! I loved it so much I got another order to take home for tomorrow!! My boyfriend and I also split the chicken red curry and pork pad se ew and both had fresh meat, noodles, and veggies, too. Good sized portions. Friendly staff. Definitely will be going back!!! And don't be fooled if it is completely empty when you go in: locals will be coming in and out ordering their usual favorites while they ask about the employees and their family members as if they're all good friends. ALWAYS a good sign! :) Enjoy!

I'm no Thai food expert, but I do know what I like. They have great egg rolls and I always order the garlic chicken dish. At lunchtime the staff is overworked and it can be hard to find a table or a place to park if you drove there, but eventually something opens up. The waitstaff isn't as on-top of things during lunch when I've been there. Drinks get forgotten a lot. Dinner tends to be much better since it wasn't usually busy when I'd eat in. I would also call ahead 10 minutes before leaving work so my take-out order was ready and the store was on my drive home. The little girl who worked there was adorable. I believe they've been bought out by a different family or company in the past few years though, and the last time I was there (3 years ago) the overall feeling had changed. It was missing some of the family warmth it used to have. Still, it's Billings, and it's good Thai food.

OK, so last night's thai didn't work out. let's try the only other thai place here shall we? while slightly harder to find (the middle store between 2 others, and on a main 1 way street on the left side), the restaurant itself was cozy and looked quite normal for a thai place. the prices were fine ($10-ish for a dish). the food? great! the noodles were really thin and small, the 1st time i've seen them like that through my great thai food trek across north america. i love the egg, the flavor, and the variety of carrots/broccoli/chicken spread among the noodles. the negatives: the portions are noticeably smaller than other places, and the sodium count on this bad boy dish was pretty high, probably the saltiest thai i've had. good job billings for a 4 star thai restaurant from a seasoned thai-eater!

I have to say the other reviewers have given this establishment far more praise then they truly deserve. The owners must have a lot of friends.. I'm just saying. Their food is really quite below what you would expect from Thai restaurants in other states and it's just mediocre compared to what you can find elsewhere here in billings. The atmosphere isn't great either and I must say a bit on the dirty side. For Thai food.. go west side my friend. Psst.. (Lemon Grass)

I've been to Cham's a couple of times and I really like it. The dishes I have had have been great, including the Pad Se Ew and the Pad Thai. I'm super picky when it comes to Pad Thai, it's my favorite but I have had so many mediocre Pad Thai's that it is basically my test dish at any Thai restaurant. This one is sweet, as I like it to be, and upon request they added the desired amount of heat to it. It is strangely orange color which I have not yet figured out. But it's tasty. The Veggie Egg Rolls are also good. My husband has had the Green Curry and loved that, too. I really appreciate their large selection of vegetarian items, plus the option of fresh or fried tofu in those veggie items. As others have said the dishes are small so don't expect any leftovers. I know usually you take home half of your Thai entree but not here. Given the small size of the entrees the prices aren't superb, like $10 a dish, but it's decent and it tastes great so I am happy.

The food is really good here, but when ordering takeout, the portions are significantly smaller than other similar places in town...

Great little family run place. Nothing fancy about the decor or location (right next to the tattoo parlor) but who cares when the food is this good. The standard Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are quite good, but the mild yellow curry is out of this world. (I'm not much of a spice guy, so I can't comment on the spicier stuff.) I have not had a bad dish there yet. Friendly staff, good food, cheap prices, what more could you ask for?

Very tasty, authentic...but portions are a bit small. Will come back again. 5 stars if portions were larger.

We get take-out from here so often that the owners know our names without having to ask! We always order the Tom Kha chicken soup(I like it with noodles), the yellow curry and the massaman curry. Always delicious, always plentiful, and always friendly service. A definite favorite!

Cham Thai is phenomenal in both service and taste. It is a family owned and operated restaurant and has been in Billings for the last 5 years. I try to go at least once a week for their spicy chicken or friday afternoons for the lunch buffet. I moved to Denver a year ago and have yet to find something comprabable.

I live in Los Angeles and come to Billings at least once a year and I always love to go to Cham's. It is clean, tasty and comparable to the Thai in LA. The owners are so nice and friendly and the lunch specials are really reasonable. I look forward to my next visit.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to change my mind about this place. I've been here for lunch two more times and I won't be going back. Maybe the first time I happened to catch this family run business on a really good day. Maybe times are getting tough for them, but there's not much point in serving a lunch special if you can only afford to serve soup in a cup that's one third full, plus four bites of salad. Now, I'm a light eater, and an extremely slow one at that, but I was in and out in 15 minutes! I ordered the green curry lunch with chicken. The sauce is as thin as water, and the bowl contained a few sprouts and less chicken than you'd get in a one dollar sandwich at a fast food joint. The service was fast, since there was nobody in there. Now I see why. Since I can fill up on under two dollars at a fast food drive thru, I won't be wasting eight to walk away hungry at this place!

I went there for a red coconut curry dish of some sort. This tasted absolutely nothing like your traditional red coconut curry dish. It was extremely bland and just spicy. I believe it was called "kaopoon". My boyfriend got the pho. He enjoyed it.
