The doorman just snapped my friends ID in half and said its a fake. He's 30. We all just finished working in the sun at a track meet all day and just wanted a few dozen beers. The doorman was rude, saying "I know fakes from SC and they don't just snap like that." (The rest of us stared in shock, not believing it actually happening.) Too bad it's a legit ID that is now wrecked. Hopefully the TSA will still allow him to use it to fly home this weekend. If not, he'll have the jackass at the door at this place from "cobra security" to thank for being trapped in Mississippi.

Bin 612 is conviniently located in the heart of Starkville, The Cotton District. By day it's just a cute restaurant on the corner, and by night it's raging with loud (and probably irresponsible) college students. But hey, don't get me wrong, being a college student myself I see excitement in the craziness of a Tuesday night. 'The Bin' has the best veggie burner in town, it's made with red beans and rice and the french fries are seasoned perfectly. Also, their avocado appetizer is suggest! (By moi) :) I've never had any drinks from their bar, but they have a good variety of mixed drinks and beer, so anyone can find something that tickles their fancy. The servers are always been pleasant and attentive. However, the Bin is known for one thing, really. A big thing. Only at night past a certain hour do they open their walk up window. Sometimes there may be trouble driving by the bin in the late hours because of the line of eager and patient young adults waiting for the one thing that gives them life. Cheese. Fries. Yes, they should be awarded 'Best bar food in Stark' because they can make anyone happy. The warm queso drenched on the crispy fries is just enough to help the alcohol settle in your belly before bedtime. Thought if cheese fries aren't don't speak your language, I've also had the gyro several time and it never disappoints

Five stars for a casual dining experience! If it's good weather, there's a quaint little patio to sit, overlooking the Cotton District! We had the barbecue chicken pizza and the portobello mushroom panini and they were both fabulous. Would definitely go back again!

Definitely order the chop! Juicy and tender. Spiced just right. It also comes with the best sides. The cream cheese grits are incredible. I never eat cooked spinach, but I finished it tonight. I will definitely go back and highly recommend it to others. Yes, they have two great patios, but I just can't do it in 100° heat.

I love this restaurant usually. However, today, we decided to sit outside & we sat outside for 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order after a person with my group had to go inside & tell someone. When she came to our table, she was rude & had an attitude. We just got up & left.

Bin 612 is good...average. The atmosphere is awesome, location and options for food and drink are good. The average family will have a great experience here. For clean eaters: almost everything is loaded with salt. So. Much. Salt. For people who go out and expect excellent service...these are college/grad school kids who are working hard but they are still kids--I've heard crude language from wait staff and they always have friends in the place. Overall polite kids who get you what you need but if you're someone who expects excellent service, you may leave here frustrated.

Great little spot near campus! We came in for a quick lunch and decided to split two sandwiches since it was our first time here. We ordered the shrimp poor boy and the steak sandwich. Both were excellent! The shrimp was cooked very well with great seasoning on super soft white bread. The steak sandwich had an excellent smoky flavor, the caramelized onions and blue cheese really made it awesome! Last but not least, the fries that came with the sandwiches come seasoned and are really really good! My only criticism is the ketchup, I know it's silly, but it had high fructose corn syrup in it. The only reason I point this out is because Bin 612 is clearly concerned with serving locally sourced high quality food and serving ketchup with HFC sort takes away from that image. Overall, the food was great and we will definitely come back next time we're in town.

This is a great place with a very eclectic building. It sits in the middle of the cotton district, just off the MSU campus. The building is hard to describe, but very well suited for it's purpose. There is outside seating in the front and in the back and I believe they also have an upstairs area. The crowd will be a mix of Starkville locals, college groups, and business travelers. The college kids are there to drink and eats appetizers, but I have not found them to be loud or rude. I usually sit at the bar when I go, which is every 2 to 4 months. The regular bar tender is very knowledgeable about the menu, the drnks, and the area. He will keep the conversation going without having to be the center of attention. I have had the gourmet pizza, the pork chop, and also a panini on different occasions. All have been top notch. The pizza will rival what I have had in Italy and Brazil. My favorite is the pork chop. The price is reasonable, it is always juicy and flavorful. It comes with a side of sautéed spinach. Normally I would pay to NOT eat spinach, but this stuff is great! It also comes with another side. I have had a baked sweet potato or a side of blue cheese grits. The grits are amazing.

My experience was a 5 for sure! I highly recommend the Chop! Porkchop was moist and juicy, the garlic sautéed spinach was not over cooked, and the sweet potato was smashable. I also split the baked avocado appetizer...it was like a lemony guacamole with chopped up artichoke hearts in it with cheese on top then baked. It doesn't sound appetizing but it was pretty tasty! Plenty of outdoor seating too...

This place has an awesome atmosphere, but not much else going for it. My primary complaint is the consistently dirty dishes. I have literally never eaten at this place where the glasses were not filthy. Service can be slow.

I was traveling on business and stopped in for lunch at Bin 612 last week The service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing sitting outside. The drunken chicken poor boy was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any business traveler.

The Bin is awesome!!! The food is incredible especially the gourmet pizzas and the paninis! They have awesome specials, on rainy days pizzas are 1/2 off and their happy hour is incredible! They have additions to their menu! Campus Special has a coupon here for buy an entree and get an appetizer for free! This is one of my favorite places in Starkville to eat and have drinks! Great atmosphere as well!! I do not see what is not to love about this place!

any place that has goat cheese, caramelized onions, and italian sausage as choices for toppings on a thin crust pizza gets my vote. we ordered the pizza and ended up getting too toe up to eat - so it was breakfast the next day. still killer pizza. only been here once, but i must say - being starkville and all - i was surprised to see my favorite pizza combo available. this doesn't mean you should drink the tap water though. because you never should if you're in starkville, ms. HODDY TODDY!

This is a great place for food and drinks. The BBQ chicken pizza is awesome and the new expansion is so nice. Great patio.

I had always seen the commercials on the local Starkville Channel and wondered what all the fuss was about. My friend Ebony came up for a visit and it seemed the perfect excuse to go out to dinner, so out we went. I had the Salmon and she had the Pizza......this is now the restaurant that she wants to go to every time she comes up here. The salmon was not overcooked and the seasonal vegetables were roasted to perfection. The Balsamic reduction was also a very nice touch. Ebony loves the pizza so I guess its all good on that side too. The dining room itself is very small, but there are outdoor seating options and the bar is right in the dining room.

Very nice place and the food was good. Pizza was great and the south west burger was very good. The best part was the staff. Our waitress was very helpful and very nice. The bar tender was so fun. He told us jokes all night and must have known 100's of Ole Miss jokes. Ask him about the two guys from Ole Miss that walked into a bar caring a monkey. That one cracked us up for an hour!
