It's a good place to eat, for what is around it!!! But with that being said, the staff is rude as hell!! They are talking about the people that order 3 before you or talking about you with you standing right there! I don't know how they stay busy! If harrah's casino was ran like this burger place is..... I can see why they shut down! And won't be surprised when they do!

You have your fast food burgers like McDonald's, BK, and Wendy's. Then you have Five Guys, Fudruckers, and Smash burger. Then the gourmet kind like Flip Burger. 8oz Burger Bar falls in the medium category with five guys. The first thing I noticed was the price. It is a bit on the high side since the $7-8 price is just for the burger. Adding fries will cost you $3 additional putting you easily between $10-17 for a combo meal depending on the burger you order. The basic 1/2lb burger is $8 and there are a few choices of 1/3 lbs burger for $7. Sadly, this is one of the cheapest options in eating when you are at Horseshoe. The next thing that stands out is the bun. The buns are awesome. Nice soft and huge. Very light and does not take away or soak up any of the flavors in between the buns. Definitely a highlight. Had it twice and both times asked for medium but came out to medium well. I guess it really depends on the cook that is grilling (you can see them grill as you wait). Overall, it's pretty tasty and a good break from eating at the buffet. Definitely try it if you haven't yet.

Not sure why they asked us how we wanted our burgers cook becuase unless you said raw, this thin patty will be well done. Melrose burger had cold out of the can mushrooms and our fries had breading pieces from chicken tenders or something. Chocolate malt was good so i gave two stars

This place is nothing special just a high priced average burger in a smoked filled casino. Ordered two hotdogs, I wanted grilled onions added, the charge is a dollar extra for each hot dog. They didn't have any relish and the staff has the same attitude as if you were in a McDonalds. I would only recommend as a last resort.

For weeks I've seen full spread two page advertisements in the Memphis Flyer announcing the opening of the 8oz Burger Bar at the Horseshoe Casino in Tunica. There was even a story in the Flyer recently about the chef and curator of the small chain. All this hype gave the impression that this was a high-end burger. The kind served with a cloth napkin, or so I though. I was wrong. Basically, this is fast food. You walk up to counter, order your burger and wait until your number is called. The basic burger cost 8 dollars and is dressed with pretty much nothing. I added cheese and bacon to mine. The pro here is that you can actually watch your burger cooking on the grill so you know it's fresh. I was disappointed with my bacon. It was undercooked for my taste and there wasn't enough to have bacon in every bite. The flavor of the patty was fine. Not bad but not good either. The fries were decent. My Vote? PASS!

We arrived around 9 and all the buffets were closing, granted it was a Monday, so we tried the Burger Bar. The food was good if a little over priced. Onion rings were almost $4 and we got 7. I only had one complaint. I ordered the Angeleno which was supposed to come with guacamole and a cucumber relish, which turned out to be pickle relish. I hate pickles so I ended up switching with my hubby. Oh and the bun was twice the size of the burger.

The half muffin I ate on the airplane was wearing off, and I get grumpy when I'm hungry. We had dinner plans and didn't want to ruin them, so decided to split a sandwich here about 3 PM. Looked the menu over, and the Short-rib grilled cheese jumped out. The menu noted it had been *featured* on Oprah, but didn't say how. Maybe as the most over-priced sandwich ever? Who knows. When the sandwich arrived, I took my half and bit in. OMG...this is the most amazing sandwich ever. I couldn't believe I was splitting it...I wanted to grab my dining partners half and tell her to go get her own sandwich! I could gladly eat this every day of my life. I don't even care it's not healthy, sometimes it just so worth it. This is a small local chain. Maybe someday they will go global. I can hope. Just one note...it's not owned by Harrahs, so if you pay with comps it's 2 for 1. I just payed cash (old fashioned, I know) One sandwich and a diet coke was about $12. Totally worth it. (The sandwich is ala carte) French fries were extra. I didn't indulge.

We wanted something different to eat instead of the buffet, again, so there's only two other options JB's and 8oz. We chose 8oz because because a burger just sounded good. Menu is a la carte and I think pricey. I got two 8oz and a side of fries, that came up to $22. The burger in the box was huge, I think it was the oversized bun though, but good and the fries were good but would have been off the hook If they used the double fry method.. Just saying.

The 8oz Burger was a nice alternative to pricey buffets. We ate here several times - for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food was very good. As it was cooked to order, it took a bit longer than we preferred. Open 24 hrs. Burger and steak sandwich was terrific!
