I'm a guest in Meridian, MS but damn it!!! Mugshots is the best burger hands down I have had in about 5 years!!!! Like their menu states, "It's all about the Bun." No joking! Their bun is like a Hawaiian kings bread met a San Francisco Sourdough bread and they mated and created that's deliciousness of a bun! The meat patty... Um yeah, AMAZING as well. It's thick, juicy, and amazingly consistent on savory flavor. During my visits I had the Big Kahuna (which reminded me of that scene on Pulp Fiction; "Now that's a taste burger!"). It was a tasty burger holy crap! Then I also had the McDonald; I don't know how to explain the taste because I felt as if it was a regular burger, but the taste was unique and delicious. Side times: onion rings kill it! The batter is good, the onion tastes fresh. One of my go-to sides! The fries are good, however I recommend the seasoning on the side if not light. If you order than as is, they tend to drown the fries in seasoning and the taste is too much. Okay... It's about to get real! Beer selection! I love beer! I've been in Meridian for 4 weeks now and I've eaten at any, if not at all places I have been recommended and Mugshots seems to have the best selection of Beer (local beers) on tap hands down!!! Not any other place that I have been to offers that many beers on Tap (Weidmann's is pretty close but not really). They even have Military discount! Make sure you show ID and don't be one of those losers claiming to be military for the discount. I'm glad they started asking for ID proof. Overall. Best burger joint in Meridian, MS!!!

Meh.... Well my chicken had hair in it, so that kind of sucked. The chicken was very bland, so it wasn't a big loss. My friend ordered a burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries were pretty good. The wait staff was fantastic and super friendly. Ask for Erica. Ps. They have a good challenge if you're interested.

Decent meal, but nothing over-the-top. Bar staff seemed to be faking their pleasantries, and that's a major turnoff for me. I hate my job as well, but my clients would never know it. I don't know if there are better burgers joints in this area, but this was slightly better than average. Beer selection is okay. They do have a few local craft beers, but they were out of the two I wanted. Would I come back? Probably. I looked hard to find a place with good ratings and some local suds. This was the best option that came up. Maybe I caught them on an off day. I'll update review if I'm ever in town again.

I had the worst experience at this place the owner was so rude. I placed an order, was very specific about how I wanted my food the waiter got it correct, The cook on the other hand did not was brought out wrong no wait staff around so I took the order up to the kitchen door someone asked if something was wrong I said yes my order was not right. I asked to speak to a manager because its not the first time this has happened. He came to the door not saying sorry when I told him what happened but rather let's go to the table. I simply said its very aggravating to order and it comes wrong and the other person has their food, it makes you not want to come here. So he walked to the table once again never saying sorry we will fix it, instead made me angrier than I was and came off as a total jerk, going on about how he owns 2 places and works 60 hours a week. Okay, If so then you would know not to argue with a customer but try to make them happy they are the ones who make you money and pay your bills. I have never encountered someone who was so rude as an owner. They are the ones who are supposed to make things right and say they are sorry and make sure the staff knows they made a mistake. He went on to argue with my husband ,Which just made the situation worse than it was already. I would not suggest anyone going there if you want your order done properly.. Any place where an owner comes out and is rude and doesn't try to defuse the situation is not a very good business person.

Their burgers should never be mentioned or eaten. The fries were good when they first opened up in meridian, but now they lack the flavor from before (new recipe or new cook). There's a chicken sandwich that is 2 or 3 Tyson's chicken strips covered in Franks hot wing sauce on some premium bread that's pretty good. Beer selection in slightly above average. For all the hype that surrounded this place, it's a somewhat disappointing result now.

Never had a problem here or reason to complain. Great selection of bar food. Great sandwiches. The beer battered fries, fried dill pickles and beer battered onion rings are awesome! I usually get the BLTC, the tuna sandwich or turkey burger. Every sandwich they serve is on homemade sour dough bread!

We've always had good service here. The wings are great but that's about all. I don't get why people rave over the burgers. They are flavorless and dry. Nothing you can't make at home.

I take back every bad thing I said about this place. The burgers are juicy and delicious, the soft, grilled buns a delight. Steer clear of the southwest eggrolls--they're pre-bought, pre-frozen, and not very good. The honey barbecue wings are fantastic, though, smothered in a unique honey mustard barbecue sauce I've yet to find anywhere else.

Huge juicy burger, tasty too. The fries good, but needed to be hot, not warm. We'll be back.

Good service and clean restrooms. The beer menu looked better than average, but since I was working I had to pass on it. I ordered the Picou sandwich and the chicken was a bit stringy but the fries were better than most places. It's worth stopping in.

Had a Phily Cheese and Mahi Mahi split with my wife. Both sandwiches great. Onion rings need more spice. I'm coming back.

Love it. Friendly staff, good service, and the selection of burgers and beers can't be beat for this area. Great for families with small kids as well; my 2 toddlers loved the PB&J. I had the big kahuna burger with beer battered fries and fried pickles as an appetizer. Everything tasted lovely.

Pretty good food as long as you don't order a salad. Great beer selection and great service though.

This place is amazing. I have been in Meridian for a couple of months and this is one of the best places to grab a burger and beer. The staff are really friendly and never let your drink go empty for more than 5 sec. A must try when you are passing through Meridian!!!!
