As bars go in Gulfport, this is a great place to come in and have a drink. It is a tad smokey for me but then again its a bar. When I went all the t.v.'s had NASCAR blaring and a yuppy version of what I expect to be watching it filled the bar. They have live music on the weekends and if crowded bars are your thing, then you will fit right in.

It's okay. Not quite what I was expecting. The Quarter is attempting to bring one a bit of the French Quarter in Gulfport. It's connected with another restaurant so one can order things like crawfish and oysters. However it's more like a sports bar and the loud 80s videos that play non-stop are distracting. My big complaint is that on the outside the Quarter presents itself as a high-end bar. But it's far from that. The drinks are reasonably priced, but they're made fairly weak. Bar tenders are nice, but I thought it was odd that when I ordered a martini they informed me that they were out of vermouth. So... the experience was average.

I really liked this bar when it first opened, but the crowd now is more like hey I just turned 21 and I want to get wasted. The last time I was there I sat at the bar and ordered a glass of redwine, when I asked for a refill the bartender just took my glass and started to pour the wine in the same glass I'm sorry but bar etiquette is a fresh glass with every drink made. Especially when your ordering expensive wine. Just saying.

Really great place to pop in for a quick drink during the day, especially if there's a football game on. They have those machines that disperse smoke, so it's not as smokey as it could be. The huge crowded weeknights aren't really my thing, but that's just a matter of taste.

Visiting from Detroit and in search of only the best in local cuisine, some friends took me out to The Quarter this evening for music, beverages and dinner. Everything was fantastic. Oysters, shrimp, gumbo, po'boys, crab cakes - literally a table full of food - all of it was absolutely fantastic. I may not make it down to Gulfport often, but when I do, I'll definitely go back to The Quarter for more.

The Quarter is the new cool place to hang out IMHO ;) Just recently opened and still working out a few kinks, like the front door doesn't close on it's own =/ But other then a few things that need to be tweaked this place is just a kick back, relaxed fun place to hang out. Bands playing, Football games on the TV's, good service and great drinks. Heck you can even get some muchie food as well. Just what Downtown Gulfport needed! Check their website, find out who's playing and pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed

I went in there one time and it was sort of alright. My nephew and some other people go in there pretty often. Parking was hard to find, it was not that big of a place, had a concrete floor!!! lol. Looks like they opened before they were compete with construction???
