Awesome redo of a classic Canton square restaurant. Cilantro is a well priced Tex Mex place with a gem of a dish called the Ahi Tuna Burrito. The salsa is off the chain good. Support Canton. Get up here and eat. Not your typical MS Mexican garbage.

Food ok....beer was hot and does not serve liquor...dunno if I will be back...like the name suggest the food was full of cilantro...and I love cilantro...but it was much!

Great Salsa, great service and unique menu items keep my Husband and I coming back to Cilantro's. We are usually early birds so I'm not sure about the wait or service during busy times. We are always seated promptly and never need to ask for refills. I've had several menu items and I've been impressed with everything. The salsa is good especially if you love cilantro like me and if you want extra heat you can be creative with the assortment of hot sauces they have available. They usually have a variety of specials along with the regular menu items. The food is always fresh and flavorful and not your typical Mexican restaurant canned and bland. The pinto beans are my favorite, I could have those for a meal and that is saying something.

We were spending the night in Canton, on our way to New Orleans and had the good fortune pick Cilantra Mexican Grill for dinner. Everything was made from scratch with the freshest ingredients. The salsa was amazing, with just the right amount of heat. Our group of 4 had enchiladas and fish tacos - just delicious! At the end of our meal, chef Nick came out to check on us and was kind enough to give us lots of recommendations for places to eat in New Orleans. We will definitely be back on our next time through Canton!

Bad first experience ! Drove to Canton to see the Christmas lights and eat here. Waited 20 to30 minutes to be seated and after being seated we could not get service. Several seated after us and their order was taken. We were served our drinks and waiter didn't return. Owner was bussing tables. A lot of issues going on here.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
