Thanks again to chef Antonio. In just less of a month he gave birth to Osteria from a long time pass away old David chop house. In a city where chain restaurants and mediocre food is everywhere finally you may enjoy a delightful lunch, dinner or just a small bite at the bar. It's the third time that I try Osteria. Every time we try a new dish. When we arrive a young and smiling hostess greet us, Gina our server was sweet and knowledge about the menu and wine. Under her recommendations we order and loved the watermelon prosciutto, the farro squid salad. Last night we had seafood risotto, delightful perfectly cook and pappardelle with mushrooms ... My partner clean the plate with the warm bread LOL. Main course we share halibut and chicken champagne and both were very good. We ended our dinner with limoncello and excellent panna cotta. We will be back

The worst of the worst. It was classic when it was Axels and David's. They served me water in a paper cup over looking the lovely golf course. Really! I ordered Carbonara and it runny I never send anything back never this went back ordered a medium well burger it was raw. The waitstaff is about 12 and have no experience only one person has been retained. Won't go back. This was my second try

Make a reservation. It gets packed on the weekends with golfers. This was the best meal Ive had in ages. I don't work for them, I promise! Seafood lasagne was the special & was La Grolla style delicious. Much more than a typical country club menu, it should be on your list to try.

Lucky to receive this! Horrible food and service. Thought it would be better with new management, guess not. They can't even cook a good steak!

Let me start by saying we were very excited to try this restaurant and really wanted to like it as the location is beautiful and the potential is limitless. Good: Our request for a table near a window looking out to the golf course was honored and was great. The server was sweet and knowledgeable. The pasta special with scallops in a lobster cream sauce was surprisingly flavorful. Bad: The Carbonara was despicable. It consisted of rotoni swimming in a sea of cream soup mixed with fatty chunks of bacon. When we inquired where the signature egg was, we were told the egg was mixed into the sauce, YUCK. Lucky the diner who ordered this will eat anything. The risotto special with salmon was starchy, obviously overcooked. Ugly: The ribeye ordered as medium-rare came out well done, chewy and was sent back. The replacement came out raw. The manager was borderline belligerent when he came to our table to inquire on the issue and proceeded to make excuses as to why the ribeye was not prepared as requested. I feel awful for the server having to deliver not one but multiple dishes sub-par for a place of this stature, as it is not her fault, but she does not have the luxury of hiding in the kitchen. The chef from 6/17/15 owes her an apology. Bad food is one thing, but to have a manager that is inexperienced in handling situations and actually managed to make it worse makes this an establishment I will not waste time or money on returning to. We could not pay our bill and leave soon enough. Summary: No drink Menu, only a list of wines glass/bottle Cocktails - average, nothing spectacular Special Seafood pasta dish - three stars, decent but overshadowed by the horrible experience Risotto with Salmon special - one star, starchy Carbonara - zero stars, despicable pasta soup Ribeye - zero stars, will come out over done or raw

I am very surprised that people were not happy about this place ! Because My mother and I had wonderful time on mother's day! Since it was new place, I was little nervous to take my mom . But why did I worried ?! Their Brunch was very delicious!! Our server was super busy but she tried her best to give good service. Most of all, my mother loved the location, she said to me that she loved to come back again ! Thank you for great mother's day!

The new Osteria completely elevated a mediocre place to the "go to place " in Woodbury. We went there several times already. The fish cake and spider prawn are the best. You can't go wrong with the pasta. We really liked the seafood risotto. You don't have to travel far to find this hidden gem for Italian food, and you don't have to break you wallet too :)

Why was my previous review removed? I'm a little bit irritated about that. So yelp gets 1 star. Osteria is a fantastic destination for incredible food. The pork belly is amazingly tender and full of flavor. I don't understand the lady complaining that it is too fatty, simply because pork belly is essentially a piece of fat. The ribeye is also a must have. 14oz, perfectly seasoned and grilled to order, with taters and veg, for a mear 27 dollars. !!!!! Wow!!!! I gotta get back there soon to try their fresh pastas. Lovin it

My husband and I had lunch here recently and found the place to be so-so. I ordered the Nicoise salad, which was okay. The menu advertised it came with seared tuna, hard cooked eggs, red onions and kalamata olives. While all of this was true, I found the salad to be a bit blah. It needed more vegetables, or something, to perk it up. The seared tuna was nice, but didn't have much seasoning. My husband ordered the salmon burger, which he said was pretty tasty. I checked over the dinner menu and wasn't really blown away by the sound of any of it, so not sure we'll be back for dinner - would definitely come back for appetizers in the bar, though.
