Been here a couple of times. Food, wine and service were really good. It is expensive.

Whats better? Wine, staff or food? It's a toss up here. It's like home, with great food. The wine lovers cheese plate is always wonderful, great assortment and grand portions. The steak tartare on the starter menu is uniquely prepared, flavorful and large enough for four people to share. The menu changes seasonally and I've had some wonderful seafood here. I've eaten with people who swear by the beef tenderloiin as the best ever. I met Aleks ( one of the owners ) many years ago when he was bartending in a nearby small town. My friend and I were impressed by his warmth and personality. He worked his way from small town bartender into the restaurant world in Minneapolis and landed back in Stillwater doing what he does best. This man was born to be a host of his own establishment. His open friendliness, attention to detail and honest concern about his customers dining experience filters down to all of the staff. I always feel valued here. The extensive wine list could be overwhelming without the helpful, knowledgeable waiters and bartenders. I have my long time favorites ( Malvira Arneis ) and have been encouraged to try some great new selections without ever being disappointed. I have been trying the great restaurants in the Twin Cities, new and old and have found many that I love. But I am very happy that Domacin is in my hometown and I get to patronize a local small business that rivals all of the big city spots.

I could write a 5 star review each time I go to Domacin. My staple is the tenderloin which is subtly changed up every so often, but never does the arrangement steal the main event which is the filet itself. My latest rendezvous I tried one of the often added new, limited time items- the short ribs. I felt odd ordering ribs at Domacin. It seems a BBQ joint type option- not the norm you would typically find here. But in D I trust. They. Were. Awesome. The glaze filled the plate and was also crusted to the meat. Glorious. The ribs dripped off the bone in cooked perfection. The employees are all knowledgable and nice people. The atmosphere at first blush might make you think 'where's my coat?" but no worry- wear what makes you feel comfortable in. You're eating with friends.

So amazing!! Spaghetti was so yummy - asian stir fry pasta! Panna cotta was to die!! Great service and excellent wine.

These guys know wine, food and service as they are all outstanding. Yes, it is known as the best wine bar in Minnesota but their food is also outstanding. We eat there once a week and the variation in menu always keeps us interested but the quality and consistency of food brings us back. Chef Jeffrey prepares fish perfectly every time!

Fantastic food and wine. Ethan was our server and really knows how to pair the right wine with their delicious food. Highly recommend this place!

Really loved our meal. Started with the calamari flat bread and pork belly sliders, both delicious. Then my boyfriend had a lobster soup which I think was a feature. For entrees, I had the duck breast which was to die for and perfectly cooked and he had the beef tenderloin which I had a bite of and was amazing as well. For desert we had the oinker and the panna cotta. The panna cotta was much better than the oinker so I think I'll get that one next time. Service was incredible and the whole staff worked together and really took care of all the tables. We were also given excellent wine suggestions and pairings throughout. Will be back for the Sunday tasting menu.

We had the pleasure of dining at Domacin July 7th and considering my nephew is a regular and local foodie, we allowed him to arrange this fabulous evening. From shared tasting platters of delish imported cheeses, hot crusty bread, buttery Marcona almonds and imported olives to a fabulous black bean flatbread. Working with the sommelier, the wine started appearing and each selection a real joy. The hit was a lovely bottle of Trust (the upgraded bottle that wasn't on the menu) that we can all highly recommend! The mains that were ordered were delightful, mine was the sea bass that was done to perfection! (kudos, chef!), most ordered pheasant and gosh, it got awfully quiet at the table after the food arrived! The service was stellar, the food was just lovely. Our setting was intimate and perfect for our group. We thank you all for making our visit to Domacin most memorable. Wish you had a location in Dallas!!

Attended an expensive wine dinner and ended up in a cramped room with a loud, obnoxious group that got louder as the wine was poured. Guest speakers were in the other room so that, we could hear nothing. Food was very good but did not offset an otherwise wasted evening. Nothing classy about shouting across the table to be heard. The worse wine tasting dinner I have attended.

The food was incredibly good. The service was a bit slow, BUT it wasn't their fault as they said a chef was actually out sick that day. They certainly made up for it by providing us with a free dessert for me and my boyfriend. I had the beef tenderloin and it was so yummy, cooked to perfection and the dessert was also very good.

Friday night we had dinner here. My husband ordered Halibut and I had butternut squash risotto which was a special, and it was special. Delicious. We both had the arugula salad with truffle vinaigrette that had plenty of truffle flavor but not overpowering. The only downside was the wine our waitress recommended - an Italian red from Langhe - was just ok. Turns out they were tasting wines from this vineyard in the adjoining wine room. After dinner we tried some of their other wines which were better but still not excellent.

Domacin is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities. The food is great - from the small plates to entrees. The service is some of the best I've ever experienced - Ethan is the best! Wine selection is immaculate - lots of affordable options as well as high end. Very knowledgable, down to earth staff. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing restaurant and wine selection! Domacin has never let me down, even when they were out of an appetizer we ordered they made it up by bringing us two others in its place with one not even being on the menu. Ethan is the best and will take care of you with his superb service and vast knowledge of perfect pairing wines. Looking forward to the next visit already.

BEST SERVICE EVER. No lie my yelpers. This bartender was the cream of the crop, the pick of the litter, simply wonderful. I could tell he loved his job, wine, and making sure the customer was completely satisfied with the wine selection. Nic and I had never heard of any of these bottles and I'm far from being a wine expert, but I know I usually like dryer red wines, which is exactly what I told the bartender. He poured two different reds for us to taste, the boy and I liked one of them, so he ordered that and I asked if I could try something slightly sweeter, so another taster was poured, and that one was perfect. The bartender poured large portions, and for $7-9 a glass, it was a fabulous little drink. The 'tender was very social and interested in who we and the other couple at the bar were, it was a pleasant chat, something that I wish more bartenders had the ability to do. We didn't try any of the food, but the cheese plate looked great. I've already recommended people taking a trip to Stillwater to check this place out. I am intrigued by dinner party in The Cellar, it comfortably holds six and sound fancy as ever. I only hope that I can find a wine bar as great as this little gem. This place can go super fancy or you can be dressed down, which we were. All the other employees were incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable.

Definitely on a different level in Stillwater. Menu and delivery spot on for those seeking fine dining. Menu options are limited but sophisticated. Keep in mind that their encore is the wine bar. The wine selection is fair considering. This place is definitely in the upper tier in Stillwater.

Our family (seven people) celebrated at Domain. What a great night! They got us in with a reservation despite short-notice and the busy-ness of the night and provided us with great service! Aleks gave us extra-special attention, including wine and menu suggestions. Everyone enjoyed their meal, their wine, and dessert. Wonderful!

This place is amazing. It has the food of a high end NYC restaurant with the quaint atmosphere of a small town bar/cafe (with matching price :) ). We had a three course chef's choice meal which included an amazing salad, braised duck breast and a phenomenal beef tenderloin cooked to perfection over fingerling potatoes and mushrooms. All of this was followed by a light dessert, I don't remember the name but it was delicious. We are definitely coming back!

Amazeballs. 'Nuff said. MUST TRY. Great staff. Owner is super welcoming and will remember you! We shared a bottle of Dolcetto, the Trenne, Wine Lover's Cheese Plate and a delicious Panna Cotta. The Panna Cotta is ever so creamy! Everything complimented eachother sooo well. One of the best wine bars I've ever been to!

Domacin is one of the classiest, delicious and satisfying establishments in the Twin Cities Metro/St. Croix Valley area. The owners maintain a smooth business welcoming guests and making everyone that comes through the door feel like a million bucks. The servers are all courteous and interesting, and the bar supplies a large selection of wines from around the world. Start wine a cheese plate... for a couple people they are big enough to tide you over and full over amazing selections of cheeses. The food is simply wonderful... lobster pappardelle, exquisite. Have a desert as well, they are all reasonably priced(2 for $10) and go great with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. The other nice thing here is that they make slight menu changes every few months or so, always trying something a little different but no matter what it's always good. What sets Domacin apart from other higher end 'fancy' wine bars and restaurants is that even though you may spend a bit more, you come away feeling it was all worth it. They don't just put up a trendy facade and charge an arm and a leg, they provide a sincere and warm experience whether you're there on a date, with family or friends, or just or for a drink. I just wish more places were like Domacin and the people who work there.

I don't recommend that you try Domacin when you're in Stillwater. Rather, Domacin is one of the key reasons why you head to Stillwater in the first place. From the food, to the wine pairings, to the quaint atmosphere, to the warm and engaging service, this place really excels. You definitely feel like you've left the cities and you're in a small ocean front town. Expect to take some time and the food to come slowly, but the warm bread that comes first will surely hold you over. I definitely recommend the cheese plate. It's a little too big to eat it all, but the price is worth it even if you only eat half. They include very distinct and different cheeses with nice fruit pairings. Of course, the chorizo flatbread and the entrees are great as well, but definitely try the cheese plate....

I literally felt a wash of sadness come over me when I realized I was about to take my last bite. Our meal was fabulous from start to finish. We were greeted warmly by one of the proprietors, Alecks, and the service never ceased to amaze us. Our beet salad (locally sourced) was amazing. At first we commented that it wasn't very big, but the trick is that they constantly left us wanting just a little more, in a good way. Alecks brought out a tomatillo soup that was "slap your momma" good. I tried the spaghetti, which was amazing. It was more like an Asian Lo Mein, wrapped in a smooth sauce with peanuts and a tender beef tenderloin. The coup de grâce was the pork tenderloin. This is, quite literally, one of the best things I've ever tasted. The smoky romesco and the mojo verde blend together with the succulent pork to create this amazing mouth harmony. This is the kind of dish that would inspire Meg Ryan to actually climax at a table. No offense to Billy Crystal. Seriously, if you haven't been here. Go. You'll be better for it.

We finally made it to Domacin for dinner, over a year after we first came for wine and dessert. The food was just as good as we hoped for. Everything was excellent. We started our meal with the soup of they day: cheddar, chorizo and potato. It had great flavor, with just a slight smokiness from the chorizo. It's a small cup, so you might want two if you don't like to share. For our entrees, I ordered the artic char which had a mustard crust and was served with brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. I have never liked brussel sprouts until these. They were so tender and packed full of flavor, I could have eaten a whole plate! They tasted nothing like the sprouts I was used to. And the mashed potatoes were so creamy, like a bite of heaven. My husband had the pork belly. I tried a small bite, but that really isn't my thing. He said it was good, but fatty (which was to be expected). For dessert we ordered the apple bomb. This was a very fancy dessert. It consisted of slices of cinnamon spiced apples, homemade whipped cream, triangles of crunchy phyllo and a strawberry-rhubarb sauce. It smelled divine, and tasted just as good. It was the perfect light dessert to end a rich meal.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday for our anniversary and to enjoy the Chef's tasting menu. We arrived early and it was fairly empty. We had over 30 minutes before we were to be seated, so we checked in w/ the hostess and walked around down by the river for a little while. Once we came back, we sat at the bar for a drink before dinner. The bartender was nice and attentive, helped me pick out a beer since I'm not much of a beer drinker. The bar only serves beer and wine, which I assumed would be the case, but also assumed they had liquor, which they do not. We got seated when we were ready, there was no rush to get us to our table. We received complementary bread and oil for dipping, it was delicious. We both ordered the tasting menu, which is priced moderately at $30/person, optional wine pairing, which we declined. The tasting menu changes weekly and I think that is a great way to showcase the creativity of the Chef. Our courses were, Beef Tartare, Honey Glazed pork tenderloin w/ a berry sauce, and a delicious slice of carrot cake w/ marscapone frosting and candied pecans. The courses were brought out w/ a small break in between each, just the perfect amount of time to make you anticipate the next plate! Dessert was small and just the right size to satisfy. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back again on another Sunday!

Service and food was great, a good choice for a date. We had the tomatillo soup which was such a flavorful surprise, we loved it! The wine flights on the menu didnt fit the dishes we chose, but our waiter was so kind as to offer a selection for us which ended up being a very nice complement to our food.

We really enjoyed this place - one of those great places where you can be low key or fancy and still fit in. The pork sliders were amazing! We also had the trout, pappardelle, and chocolate cake for dessert, all really good food and good service!

The meal we ate at Domacin was the best my partner and I have ever had. We thought a lot about making this statement, but it is truthful. We are avid "foodies" living in the Twin Cities who dine out 5+ times a month and are clean eaters at home the rest of the time. Our menu selections: Complementary bread: hot and fresh (we actually heard our waiter ask the chef to "put some bread in the oven" shortly after we arrived); hearty with a crunchy crust and a moist and dense center. The bread was served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The balsamic was like none other. The waiter mentioned it was 15 years aged, or some large number. I could have drank it out of a glass. Cheese Plate: I can't remember the names, but there were an assortment of four, hard and soft. They were served with almonds, dried cranberry, green apple slices and drizzled with honey. They were unique and of high quality. We ate some of it plain, but the waiter brought us extra bread, as well, without being asked. Scallops (small bite): fresh and properly prepared. The aioli went well. It didn't over power the delicate flavor of the scallops. The pork belly was good, it added texture, but the scallops could have stood on their own as well. We weren't a fan of the accompanying kumquats, but they were easy to avoid. Saffron Potato Soup (soup of the day): thick, velvet puree. I wouldn't order it again, but it was very good. Chilean Sea Bass (entree): oh. my. god. I could have eaten a platter of this! The fish was flaky and rich and everything it should and could have been. The potato gratin was so perfectly paired with the sea bass. Ribbons of potato were shaped into a rectangle and seared on the bottom. Not greasy, not heavy. The pea puree added aesthetic appeal and their smooth texture balanced the dish. Balsamic and Mushroom Risotto (special): risotto is either good or bad, and this was very good. It was quite rich but in a manageable way. The balsamic was the same that we ate with our bred, and my was I glad. The mushrooms tasted fresh, not rehydrated. Atmosphere, Service and Price The dining room is simple and inviting. It was clean and well kept. We came in 5 minutes after they opened and were seated and water glasses filled promptly. There was a pleasant gap between our appetizers and entrees, all of which arrived hot. The portions were very appropriate. None of this "bite full" business but not gluttonous family-sized either. Our bill came to a little over $90.00 and we left a (well-deserved) $30.00 tip. This is not a restaurant we can afford regularly, but the prices are fair when the quality of ingredients and execution are considered.

This place lives up to all the reviews!! The place has a great ambiance. The wait staff really knew their stuff and had awesome recommendations. Everyone we encountered there was as friendly as could be. And now the food. We stuck with just a few appetizers since we were actually going to a place for dinner, but we WOW. The food we had was amazing! Steak tartare, flatbread, and we had to try the cheese plate after we read about it. The wine list was great. Would have been nice to see a few more bottles in the $20-30 range, but oh well. We spent more than we usually would have, and had a great bottle we had never heard of before. Husband wanted me to take a star off because he said it was so could his feet were freezing...lol. We both said that if the chef here keeps it up, he'll be right along with the other big name chefs in Minneapolis, like Tim McKee, Doug Flicker, etc...it's that good.

Wow, what is this place doing in Stillwater? It was so good we had to go for dinner two nights in a row. First tip - good idea to make a reservation as the dining area is relatively small. They are in the process of expanding soon though. The wine... Excellent list, lots of choices, great selection by the glass, flight tastings, grower champagnes. There is something for everyone here from all the major wine regions and then some, with markups imho very reasonable. They also will allow you to bring your own for a $20 corkage, but they have something for everyone and then some. They thoughtfully have a selection of large formats, verticals and horizontals. If we had been more than 2 we would have taken on a vertical for sure. Specials every day, first night had burrata bruschetta and "spaghetti". Their bread and the bruschetta were fantastic. The spaghetti was beef tenderloin with an asian twist and much more Asian than anything spaghetti. It was delicious, my one minor criticism was oversalted - with the soy and likely some marinating, the beef was super salty in particular. Next night had the beef tenderloin with bacon jam, and also amazing. Dessert was the best pana cotta either of us ever had along with a sparkling red delicious glass of vino. Great service, water glasses always filled, knowledgable about food and wine, and they actually have a wine shop in back as well. Worth driving to Stillwater just for dinner here (not open for lunch)

HIDDEN GEM! I went to this restaurant Dec 20, 2012 based on other reviews on Yelp. I was not disappointed, but instead pleasantly surprised that Stillwater has such a good restaurant. We started out with a bottle of champagne and their mussels with chorizo, which were nothing amazing, but were very fresh and flavorful. Next we had a flatbread with prosciutto, pesto, pear and almonds, which was quite unique, though if I were to be critical I would have chopped up the nuts much smaller, because they tended to roll off the flatbread and made it a bit awkward to eat. Our main courses were the tenderloin and duck. I ordered the duck breast, and it not only was cooked perfectly, but the quality and freshness of the duck was excellent! The flavors of grilled apple and cherries really complimented the duck's natural juices. Since they are a winebar, their selection of wine was decent for most wine lovers. Lastly we ordered the pistacio dessert which unfortunately was disappointing, it was super dry, even though it had a light brandy glaze on it. We would have had a perfect meal had we not ordered that. I highly recommend this restaurant, it has excellent food with quality ingredients and very good service.

Wonderful! The best Italian white wine I've ever had was our waiter's recommendation! I am eager to go back having been there just last night! I will definitely be going back to Domacin and brining friends so they too can experience the fantastic wine service and selection paired with delicious food! A cozy place for a date, I'm happy for lovely Stillwater to have this gem of a wine bar!

The GF and I stopped by Domacin last weekend for a nice dinner out. The food was excellent and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. We felt the service was a bit slow for the restaurant only being at approximately 50% of capacity. We recommend placing your entrée order along with any appetizers if you arrive hungry.

Came here without a reservation so was seated outside. Oh darn had to sit outside on a perfect evening with perfect weather and a great waiter, could you ask for more? I had the rabbit confit and my guest had the halibut special. Oh my god delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. The portions were not your typical American restaurant were you take half of it home. After that we decided we would try one of their small plates, the scallops. OH MY GOD, I am sooooo glad we did. Two giant scallops that were the best I have had to date, and I have a had a few. After all of this we were both full but since everything was great I had to see the dessert menu! We decided on the chocolate molten cake, again very good. To summarize, great food plus great service equal fantastic.

We visited during Lumberjack weekend in Stillwater so the place was full, but we still got a table immediately. We had a bottle of the S.Guglielmo Malvira, it is a wine that the owner imports. (Domacin's is the only American importer of this wine) It is a smooth red; and as the bottle continues to air the fullness and body grows, it evolves as you drink it. In bar price was about $65 for the bottle, I am not sure if they serve it by the glass. To snack on we ordered the Pizza Bianca, which was full of great parmesan and creamy sauce on crispy thin cracker crust, the same was said for the red sauce Lamb Pizza, though the flavor was not as memorable. We also had a small mixed greens salad with grapes and goat cheese which was a nice side. And we shared an order of the Curried Steamed Muscles. The muscles were fresh and there was a generous portion for $9, the sauce is buttery and light on the curry. My personal taste wanted a bigger curry flavor. The place gets a 5 because we were warmly welcomed, great food and an even better wine selection. The full 5 is because they are willing to work with you to pick a great wine and the selection for such a small place is enormous. It didn't feel snobby, I was able to ask questions and the bartenders were well educated and helpful. The wait staff is very nice and very good. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. It would be great for parties of 1-4 (there is a bar to sit at so you don't have to get a table) and it is a prime stop for an impressive date for celebration dinner.

This place is Fantastic! Don't waste your time on Main st. Walk 2 blocks up the hill to the best place in Stillwater. The wine selection is vast but not overwhelming. If Alex is around, ask him for a recommendation. He is one of the owners and adds real personality and wine knowledge.

I used to eat here when it was Cesare's and liked it, but it was a little inconsistent. I'd moved away and then returned, and friends told me that as Domacin, it was a better restaurant. I thought I should give it a try. My husband and I just got back from a meal at Domacin that was 5 stars from start to finish. I like wine but am not super knowledgeable, so I told our server what we would drink if we could afford it (amarone.) He took the cue and steered us toward two full-bodied reds in the middle of the price spectrum--an unfiltered tempranillo and a zinfandel--and both were delightful. Since we were planning to get two good-sized meat entrees, we shared an appetizer of mussels in wine and tomato sauce. They were tasty and perfectly done, not slimy and not rubbery but silky and brine-tinged. Oooh, yum! My husband had beef tenderloin on a bed of the richest, yummiest mashed potatoes with mushrooms and I had the pork tenderloin with cider beurre blanc, polenta, and carrots. Both were outstanding, but I'd give the edge to the beef, it was just over the top delicious. We finished by sharing two desserts: the smoothest, richest panna cotta I have ever eaten (like flan or crème brulée on steroids) and a flight of three homemade truffles accompanied by espresso--decaf for me. Wow, what a great meal! I'm still high from eating it. The service was friendly but neither intrusive nor snooty, just welcoming and pleasant. The entire meal set us back about $100, worth every dime, a great value considering the delicious the food and warm, friendly service.

Let's just say this. I went here with my girlfriend the night before our food adventures in NYC yet Domacin was all we could talk about when we came back. Domacin has the best cheese plate that any place has to offer. Fresh and delicious meats along with freshest greek green olives that would make any non-olive fan turn into one. The wine is exceptional, a great place to start your Italian wine repertoire. As for the ambiance go and fall in love with each other all over again at Domacin.

I think this place used to be call Cesare's? We stopped by on our mini-tour of Stillwater for a quick drink. The restaurant itself is VERY tiny and seating is available on the patio or inside. Super cute table for 6 or so in the "wine closet". We sat at the bar and ordered a glass of wine, 1 beer and a glass of bubbly. This is the place for a person who knows their wine! The list was large and quite diverse. The bartender was very helping in choosing a selection and did offer a tasting pour. The only downside was that the restaurant is mostly windows and wood which made it very loud - there were only 3 tables inside with maybe 2 or 3 more people at the bar but it sounded as if the place was packed. Nice place to stop by if in the mood to be a bit fancy.

Delicious! Went here a couple years ago and had to go back. This time we got the chorizo flatbread which was really good. A melon citrus cucumber gazpacho which was pretty good, but didn't pair well with the Pinot noir I was drinking. I had the beef tenderloin which was fantastic and my dad had the halibut which he said was good. I would definitely recommend this place. Really cute town near the St Croix with great little shops to check out.

After walking off a large meal, my wife and I happened upon Domacin. The cute little wine bar was just what we were looking for! They had a great atmosphere and a large selection of wines. The bar tender was very courteous and was a pleasure to have serving us! We tried the molten chocolate cake with a side of homemade panna cotta. The cake and panna cotta combination was perfect! The only problem was that I wanted two or three more cakes! I will definitely go back for dessert and look forward to trying their dinner menu.

Go for the wine, stay away from the food. My wife and I stopped in here for dinner and wine. We were really excited after checking out the menu and other reviews, but it fell WAY short and I was very disappointed in my entree. I ordered the Cornish game hen, which came out so dry I couldn't eat it without taking a drink of water with it. Also, the skin was like chewing on a piece of jerky.

These reviews are not over the top. The wine selection and food pairings are sublime. The service is gracious and professional. (Aleks, the owner/bartender is perfect in all kinds of ways). The small plate and wine by the glass prices are not at all crazy. My only regret is that Domacin resides in Stillwater. While I'm entirely OK with Stillwater, I wish Domancin was walking distance to home.

We've been here the last two visits to Stillwater and are always impressed with Domacin. The food was delicious (we snagged the last pork belly special) and a great selection of wine. My husband knows his wine so he picked some great stuff and the owner came over and chatted as he could tell we appreciate good stuff. Always a favorite when we're in town.

I've been here a couple of times and previously as Cesare's. I like the ambiance, especially in the summer on the patio. My experiences here are so varied, it's really weird. I applaud their wine list. I think it's really great, even though one time my friend and I were charged nearly $70 after having only 2 glasses of wine each and NO food! Little did we know that "Ethan's Picks" were running us $16 a glass! Seriously. I guess next time we'll ask, but a $16 glass of wine ought to come with some kind of disclaimer. The wine was really good, but still...shocking to receive that bill. Another time I dined here was on Valentine's Day and the wine was great, the food was mixed. The oyster tasted rotten- bad news. The soup course was completely common, something I could have made at home (my husband's salad, the same). The main entree was well prepared and lovely. $75 per person, including wine. If the Bayport Cookery was still open (boo hoo) we would have traveled out that way for a far better meal there. Pros and cons to this place, but in some important categories they under-impress (food, price, arrogance factor). On the upside, if you want to spend your entire evening watching the bartender wax his moustache and stare at himself in the mirror, this is the place to go.

Domacin, formerly Cesare's, is my favorite Stillwater dining spot. Alex is fantasic, with a sparkle in his eye, an extensive knowledge of wine and pairings, and a super-adorable personality. The waitstaff is superb and happy to help with food allergies/restrictions. I love how the menu changes with the seasons: the salads are flavor-masterpieces. Yes, some of the wines are pricey. Among them are some of the best sips I've ever experienced, and I haven't regretted a dollar spent there.

Domacin is a small local wine bar off the main drag. The wines are fantastic and reasonably priced. The owner, Alex, is always there and has the perfect "inkeeper" personality. Warm, inviting, welcoming is how you are treated here. The menu is simple and reasonably priced. We often go on Tuesday's when they have a fish special and they have been great. Entre's are priced between $16-24. You won't be disappointed. The heading for this place says it's French but it is not.

Traveling for business again and always on the prowl for great spots. Yummy, warm, dark and friendly are the adjectives that come to mind (and I'm not talking about my boyfriend this time;). If you're in the area, hit this laid-back yet sophisticated wine and unique food spot.

A top-notch culinary experience. Food is expertly designed and prepared, the wines are wonderful and well-combined with the food. This is a foodie's dream.

We went here just for dessert. Had the molten chocolate -- mediocre -- and the panne cotta -- fabulous! Should have had a dessert wine instead of the weak coffee and sub-par espresso. They serve late, which was nice.
