My family occasionally likes to grab a nice chicken dinner with potato wedges, potato salad and creamy mac and cheese as the sides. Tastes great! I am glad that we gave it a try. Rosewood is seriously under-rated. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

This is our go-to living in Rockford with not a whole lot of other great dining options in the vicinity and we love the place. We easily give them our money in exchange for tasty treats once or twice a month. We've dined in, but primarily we order to go. My ONE complaint about the place is that it's a little expensive, but honestly the quality is worth it. They boast a very diverse menu, recently adding burgers that are pretty decent, but in my opinion the chicken is the cream of the meat crop at Rosewood. Their meats are naturally raised, no hormones and whatnot and they have several gluten-free items for those of you who think you're celiac (spoiler alert - you almost certainly aren't). Oh hey - try the mac and cheese! Yeah, that's my fave. When I'm feeling particularly gluttonous, I order a big container of it and don't share with my family. THAT'S MINE GET AWAY FROM IT, that's what I tell them. I tell them I won't love them anymore if they take any of my Rosewood mac and cheese. Yes, it's that good. The place is local and it feels like it. At any given time you'll see a familiar face in there. They serve a few local craft beers (think Surly, Fulton, etc). And they have a small market where you can buy anything from eggs to spices like tarragon, all locally procured. We need more people to check this place out, seriously. Take my recommendation and get in there! Then go again! Then call me and we'll go together!

Fantastic food & great family atmosphere. This is the kind of place that should be featured in a food magazine! The hot beef sandwich is amazing... And the burgers. And the chicken...

In the year or so Rosewood has been open I have gone at least once a week. In that time I have found there isn't one bad thing on their menu. From the toasted meat and melted Swiss on their Monte Christo sandwich. To the parmesan crusted fish sandwich. Everything is fabulous! A must eat if you are in the area.

Unbelievable broasted chicken. Amazing sides such as hand cut fries, home made pickles and great salads. A must visit!

Awesome homemade hot food! Get the broasted chicken & hand cut fries. Great burgers & salads too! A perfect lunch spot where your choices are very limited!

Waited forever on rickety chairs and wobbly tables, for over priced average food. Would not recommend.

Food is good, but pricey. Ham and cheese sandwich is the bomb. Love the French fries too.

A few years ago, there was a restaurant here called "Cowboy's" that burnt down. When a different venue moved in and cleaned the place up, I was excited- dining in Rockford is sparse- especially since the awesome Mexican place closed down. Their menu is kind of eclectic- and doesn't have much for traditional food varieties- but it is certainly thorough enough to please any open minded patron. Their chicken seemed to be the hot ticket, so that's what I ordered, and it was very good (fresh- definitely their own recipe; not overdone with breading). Prices are in the $8-$15 range. The staff and service were great, and there's ample outdoor seating. I will certainly go again.

Went here on a lark today and ended up getting a California Burger and Chicken Wrap. We go to all sorts of diners around the States specifically to test their burgers, and this one definitely in the top. The burgers were juicy! And the chicken wrap was also quite delicious! We will be making this a lunch stop whenever we're in town!

I've been to the Rosewood several times. The Rosewood is a delightful casual restaurant on Highway 55. The food is classic american cuisine, salads, sandwiches, and burgers, but they venture out into Italian and other cuisines as well. The first thing I noticed is how clean it is. It is spotless, and for me, it makes me feel good about eating there. It is independently owned, serves food, beer and wine, and they are warm and welcoming to each and every customer. This restaurant is good for a quick meal, or in the evening when you want to get something to eat along with a beer or wine. It is so refreshing to have something independent, that isn't just another chain.

Great food here. The burgers and sandwiches are fantastic. The potato wedges are a good break from the normal fries you get other places make sure to give them a try!
