Found this place via Yelp! and they have great donuts and donut holes (12 for $2). Plus they have a wide variety/selection. I also feel great about helping a local business when possible. I definitely plan to go back here in the future.

Their cake doughnuts are second-to-none and it feels so good to support a small business! The staff is very customer-service oriented and friendly. At one visit their credit card machine was down and they were accepting whatever cash customers had and trusting them to stop by sometime with the balance!

Wasn't really impressed at all. Place was packed and I was excited..busy =awesome? Apparently all the parents take their kids here after the sporting events on Saturdays. We ordered a little bit of everything and I can't honestly say, nothing stands out in my mind when thinking about it. Cub foods donuts are better I personally think.

Don't blink. You may just drive by this place when you are on Yankee Doodle Road. But, I am telling you - this place is a must try if you are in the Eagan area. Tops on my Donut shop list in the Metro area. We frequent this place weekly. I have tried pretty much each of their donuts and I have not been let down yet. I am sucker for their apple fritters. My boys love any of their sprinkle donuts - cake or raised. The workers tend to throw in a few of their "famous" glazed donut holes with your order, so don't be surprised. Once you try the donut holes - you'll be "hooked" - or should I say - once you try any of their donuts - you'll become a regular, like me. Another little tidbit I want to share is that they have breakfast croissants. These things go fast - so get them while their hot. They are so delicious! They have a stuffed ham & cheese or a stuffed turkey & cheese croissants option. If you can get them right out of the oven (like I was lucky enough today), there is nothing better. They look huge - but are very light and fluffy, so I would recommend getting two (unfortunately I did not today). Might as well get 1 turkey and 1 ham (no shame). Lastly, as you may have expected - this is a family owned shop. The owners are very personable and you will feel welcomed right away - even it is your 1st trip. This is another reason we have become regulars at Puffy Cream. We look forward to stopping in each week.

Some of the best donuts I have EVER had! I always stop in for a few dozen (yes - DOZEN) when we have meetings at work; my colleagues have taken to trying to sneak the box off my desk so they don't have to share. They are MARVELOUS! I was hooked the moment I bit into my first maple-glazed, and never looked back. The people are always nice and pick out the best donuts - often throwing in some extra donut holes for good measure. I spurn thy offerings of "Krispy Kreme" - if it isn't Puffy Cream, I won't eat it! Recommended: everything! Favorites: maple glazed, chocolate glazed, donut holes - it's all good!

Awesome!!!! Affordable and so friendly! The donuts were great and are a great option for people who live south of the river!

Sincerely, Puffy Cream Donuts have a strong case for being considered the best donuts in the Twin Cities. They're classic yet flawless, simple yet perfected, and unpretentious yet high quality. The hands-down highlight is the hard-to-beat Puffy Cream Glazed Old Fashioned - and you'd have to travel outside of MN to find anything that even compares. My only criticism is that they are all the way out in Eagan, though I'm sure my blood sugar appreciates it. And, best of all, they're open 7 days per week. Keep up the good work, Puffy Cream! I'll be making a trip out there soon.

I drove all the way down to Eagan, MN this morning to try these donuts. I tried 2 long johns (one choc and one maple) and one cake donut. The texture of the yeasted long johns, i have to say, is near perfect. Tender, soft and light. No apparent grease. Approaching that of Bloedow's bakery (Winona, Mn), the standard against which all raised yeast donuts must be judged. But the frosting was too sweet. And this is from a frosting lover. So close! I was disappointed in the cake donut though. Was too dry and crumbly.

These donuts are the most amazing ever, and the most difficult thing is that they are just steps away from my son's daycare, which makes it a crazy temptation. The people are really nice, great customer service. You can't go wrong here.

I keep passing this place driving to work had to stop in one day when I was early for work and best choice I've made in a while (though I do feel guilty for all the calories I'm adding to my life.) Its small just a tiny table for one is inside the joint and a counter that show cases all the yummy donuts. Everything is inexpensive most are under $1.00 and you can get a half dozen box for 4.25. My personal favorites are the twists, apple fritters and any of the raised donuts. All are super soft and doughy and made fresh. The cute lady behind the counter I think is the owner she likes to talk about celebrity gossip of the day from the radio playing in the background. Which makes the morning even more entertaining. Anything under $5 pay in cash!

We stopped in here on our last day of vacation after hearing my husband's cousin's family rave about the doughnuts here all week. They were quite delicious. We tried the jelly bismark, custard bismark, raised yeast twist, chocolate frosted chocolate cake doughnut, and a big round yeast doughnut. All were extremely tasty, and none left that horrid greasy feel you sometimes get from eating doughnuts. I don't even want to know what is in them that makes them so yummy, but for a "once in a while treat", you definitely couldn't go wrong here! The coffee, however, was almost cold.

I am a donut connoisseur (code for eat a lot of donuts) and this place is the best. I am partial to their cake donuts with vanilla frosting.

The donuts are light and delicious! Inexpensive but amazing quality! The donut holes are always a great option as well! I would like to see a little bit more of variety or different types of donuts!

Second choice after the first donut shop was out of pretty much everything. Definitely should of came here in the first place! We bought chocolate covered twist glazed, maple long john, a huge bear claw and my son chose a maple cinnamon roll as big as his head!! Very delicious and the service was wonderful- as the lady threw in some donut holes for him!

This place is great! The service is friendly and I've loved every donut I have ever gotten here. My personal favorites are the raspberry bismarks, chocolate frosted donut long john with sprinkles, and the apple filled bear claw! We picked up a bunch for Mother's Day and they were a big hit with my family.

Very likely the best donuts in the entire Twin Cities metro area; without doubt the best in the south metro. Donuts are always freshly baked. Customer service is consistently excellent. Supporting local businesses is always important and Puffy Cream allows you to do this while enjoying some of the best breakfast treats Minnesota has to offer.

Puffy cream doughnuts is conveniently located in a small strip mall in Eagan! We came in about 9:45 am snd they had a huge selection of doughnut varieties to choose from. The customer service was great, we were greeted and our questions about their products were answered knowledgeably. We ordered : Glazed raised doughnut traditional Glazed cinna twist Maple long john Vanilla crueller Raised sprinkled doughnut The doughnuts were very soft in a good way, they were pretty puffy. Price was fair and the size of the doughnuts were decent.

I stopped in on the way to work and grabbed a cream filled bismarck. The cream was delicious and the chocolate was good. Overall a very good donut. Fast and friendly customer service. He threw in a couple free donut holes also, which was nice. Inexpensive. No fancy flavors or anything here but solid overall.

Oversized pastries, very inexpensive, overall just a mediocre donut for me, pound for pound probably the biggest bang for your buck locally.

I wanted to love Puffy Cream, I really did. I have had a 30-some odd year love affair with donuts and I'm always searching for a new source. The donuts were not very good. One of them was crunchy and obviously at least day-old. We ate in at one of the booths and when some fresh donuts came out we bought some and they were meh, ok, but to be honest, I've gotten better donuts from the Holiday gas station by my house.

The donuts here are good. Not the best. However, the actual donut dough is great. I am a big chocolate fan and the chocolate here was bad. It was that thin, sugary glaze versus the nice thick chocolate I can get at Cub Foods.

This place cracks me up! They have FABULOUS donuts!! I mean seriously the best I have had...except for another small Asian-operated spot in California. You have to try the unassuming blueberry cake donut. What in the world?! It's so yummy, but sells out early. Prices are reasonable and they have a huge variety. What cracks me up about this place is that they sell Broasted Chicken to add to their menu items! Why?! It may as well be egg rolls! I have never tried the chicken and probably won't. When you go to Puffy Creams, you go for the donuts!

I love these donuts. The donuts are very light and fresh. Seriously, they are so addictive which is okay for my wallet since the prices are low, but not so good for my waist.

Skip the gas stations, this place leaves SA, Holiday, etcetera, all in the dust! Wonderful raised and cake donuts. I've tried the lemon filled, glazed, chocolate frosted, white frosted with and without sprinkles, double chocolate (cake), and the crullers. All have been great! Don't miss this little joint on your way by!

I wish I could split this into two reviews. First, the donuts. They are OMG good. You will probably go in, buy one, walk out(nowhere to sit really), take a bite, walk right back in, order 6 more and blow your calorie intake for the day right out of the water. They ARE that good. My favorite are French Crullers, raised glazed, and the old fashioned donuts. I wish they had stopped there, but no, they had to go and do something weird like offer broasted chicken. IMO the chicken operation is an unmitigated disastrous failure. I gave it three tries, three strikes and they are SO out. The three visits for chicken were over a ~3 month period, basically once a month the first 3 months they offered the train wreck. Visit one: under cooked chicken.Well not exactly undercooked but I felt like it wasn't broasted. Maybe microwaved? I dunno but it was terrible. Thank god for ketchup. Mashed potatos accompanying chicken were worse than what I had from the high school cafeteria back in the day. Shudder. Visit two: Used a coupon to get an 8 piece meal. Got home, opened the box and there were seven seriously overcooked pieces in there. The chicken was still juicy but srsly I thought they were in a house fire not a broaster. I've had broasted chicken a million times all over the country and this. ain't. it. Visit three: Stopped in to try the 8 piece meal again. A local flyer had another coupon, which clearly stated the expiration date was the end of the month. I ordered the eight piece with jo-jo's. Handed the coupon to the girl, she tells me it is expired. I tell her check the date again, it is indeed quite valid. Then she tells me that aren't accepting the coupon because their printing company "made an error". LOL!!!??? Whatever, I told her fine just hand the chicken over. I checked it this time, they did correctly count to eight. They just cooked the bleep out of it again...not good but I just paid up and vamoosed. I actually liked the jo-jo's. Good stuff. The chicken, not so much. Its not what I expect or want in broasted chicken. The donuts are still good. I wish they would just stick to that. They must make good money I saw an older Asian lady walk from behind the counter out to a nice Lexus SUV. I assume she is affiliated with ownership, and doing somewhat well to be driving a Lex. Let it be a lesson, greed often ruins success. I'll still buy donuts from them but I no longer get excited about this place. I also don't stop in nearly as much as I used to. Chicken and donuts? Oh one last thing, if you don't call ahead, you can expect a minimum 15 minutes and more like 20-25 wait for chicken. Keep it in mind if you are on a schedule. BAH!

I LOVE donuts and the donuts here are always fresh and delicious. The white frosted donuts are especially good. Apple fritters are amazing and huge. Always fresh and yummy so sometimes they sell out early.

Hands down, the best donuts in the Twin Cities! (And I iced donuts for three years at an awesome bakery as a teenager, so I'm super snobby about donuts). The cake donuts and old-fashioneds have a gently crispy exterior, but are impossibly light on the inside. The raised donuts are pillowly and pleasant, and the crullers are eggy and perfect. Honestly, our family must have tried every offering in our four visits, and everything has been fantastic. If only I could convince them to do a whipped cream-filled long john (somewhat hard to come by in the Cities, for some horrible unknown reason), this would be my favorite donut shop of ALL time. One note about their chocolate glaze/frosting. It's true that they don't use a thick, dark chocolate frosting - but that's okay! The lighter, thinner frosting still has a great chocolate flavor, and anything heavier would take away from the perfect flavor and texture of these donuts. This place is worth the drive!
