This was my first stop to meet up with coworkers in Alexandria, MN. It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was dead. I was expecting typical bar food, but was pleasantly surprised by my Zuper Zorbaz pizza. It had a little bit of everything on it, I even added the pineapples and zauerkraut which turned out to be a great choice! The pizza was delicious and I still crave it to this day!

We always have fun at Zorbaz! We are used to going to the ones in Ottertail, Perham, and Detroit Lakes, but we happened to stay in Alexandria this year. This Zorbaz is by far the nices we have been to. Amazing outdoor volleyball, pool, seating, and half the bar is outside. The staff here was awesome. Super friendly, knew about the beers on tap, and our food took less than 5 minutes to get to us. I agree, the food is a little expensive for what it is. However, having said that, our pizza was very delicious. Much better than I remember from years past. I remember it being less than special and the other food being less than special as well. The cheesebread was good, but not for $8. The pizza was very good and there wa sa lot of slices, lots of toppings covering the top, and it all looked fresh. Awesome selection beers, including some harder to find ones. Lots and lots of seating and a family friendly atmosphere. If you're up here and want a fun exciting place to east, this is it.

Still not a fan. Tap Selection is mediocre. I noticed they were selling a lot of Michelob ultra light bottles. Kind of a NASCAR crowd. The two bartenders on duty had zero personalities. If you're bringing a bunch of little kids And want to shove them full of quesadillas, it looks sufficient. If you want real Mexican food go to Mi Mexico right up the road for more authentic food. Food has to be ordered from the bartenders.

The lack of table service with table service prices is a definite minus. I had a pizza with Canadian bacon & green peppers which was mediocre at best. As another member of our group (8 of us) said, the pizza is as though it were half cooked and left later for the remaining toppings to be added and finished. The positive--a good draft beer selection. I may or may not return, likely not as I was not impressed. I can get better food with table service elsewhere in Alexandria. I will also say this place is better for the 20 somethings who are more into partying than eating.

Unfortunately, we weren't impressed with anything "Zorba" tonight. Arriving by pontoon boat, we tied up across the street from this dockside sports bar on Lake Le 'Homme Dieu and chose to sit inside for an early casual dinner on the Alexandria chain of lakes. After waiting for someone to come to our table (without success) we finally stepped up to the bar and ordered a California Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza but were never told to get our own plates, silverware and drinks at the back of the restaurant...until our food came! Not very considerate of your customers especially since we had announced ourselves as first-time out-of-towners. Our specialty pizza was topped with ground beef, bacon bits, melted american cheese, red onion, lettuce, tomato and pickles. The toppings were actually pretty good while unfortunately the crust tasted like cardboard. It had no flavor whatsoever. To add insult to injury, when the pizza arrived, it had not been cut up properly in the kitchen resulting in the slices not coming apart when we tried to put them on our plates. Unfortunately, the combination of the lackluster service and the cardboard pizza crust resulted in one of our worst pizza experiences in a long time. Zorry Zorba...that is the way I zaw it.

Zorbaz is very casual by design. Probably the best outdoor dining spot in Alex. You order at the bar and they deliver the food to your table. You need to fetch your own plates and utensils which takes a bit to get used to. But it is a fun atmosphere and the food is great.

Zorbaz is a local favorite and I'm so glad they have one now in Alex (we use to drive an hour to Ottertail). The pizza is good, the Mexican is great and I love the outside patio. We took many of our out of town guests here over the summer and they enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I was astonished to see the negative reviews but after reading them, I'm left to assume these people are regulars at the yuppie restaurants on lake Minnetonka. You can take your ignorance an go back to the cities, where you are not required to read instructions and people will dote on you because of the size of your boat.

Fairly expensive, just ok pizza in a really fun atmosphere. The theme in this restaurant is cute. You will not find any letter "s" in anything there; they have all been replaced with z's. Fun, upbeat music is playing. There are no servers so you need to order everything at the bar which is a little annoying. Still saw quite a lot if staff for a place that had no servers so I'm wondering why. The pizza is way to expensive for what it is. I thought it was fairly generic and nothing special. Overall, an ok lake stop joint.

Mixed review, so 2 stars. -1 for food. Really horrid Mexican and worse pizza. My wife got a Reuben pizza and it was an undercooked murky mess. My son's nachos looked like the ground beef was the school cafeteria variety of cat food I've seen before. My burrito was mushy and icky....and it came with 2 pc's of Ortega Taco Sauce. Wtf? The waitstaff was nice. Ordering is weird- sit at a table, order at the bar, go back to your table with a number. Would be smart to have order slips to hand to the bartender rather than fumble with a menu and try to remember what everyone at your table wants. 5 star beer selection- 2 or 3 Summits, Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Chainbreaker White IPA plus about 10 more quality beers as well as the usual American assortment. Cute interior, lot's of TV's, and you can dock your boat across the street. So much potential to be a fun summer hangout. I'll go back for the happy hour, but unless they change the menu, won't eat there. Zorbaz is a well-branded chain, so a menu change likely isn't going to happen.

First time at this Zorbaz; bummer its not ON the lake like Ottertail. Very friendly staff and typical Zorbaz dependable experience. Its a must while on vaca!

Disappointed. Order for yourself at the bar for both drinks and food. Food was not stellar. Had Tai pizza and chicken taco- wouldn't order either one again. Interior was cute, but it was loud, and did I mention we had to get up and order everything ourselves? Had high hopes for a place we can boat to and hang out at all summer- maybe they'll add some wait staff and a burger or two??

Great pizza, great beer selection, awesome atmosphere! Plenty of seating inside and out. Complementary popcorn also a plus!

For what it is, (a bar with fantastic bar food) this place rocks. Solid veggie pizza option for my (vegetarian) wife. Simple, tasty quesadilla for my son. All you can eat chips and salsa for like $3 bucks. Very good margaritas. Fast service. Reasonable prices. All around just great... So glad they came to Alex!

Tried their big pizza with everything and it was really good. Thin crust so it's not too filling. Also had a pastrami-sauerkraut pizza but I didn't like it; others did though. I had their fajita salad and liked it fine. I would go back. It's nice to have something other than Bug A Boo Bay to stop at while on the lake. I HATE that there is not table service. It's a place where you totally would expect table service, and are left wondering if anyone is ever going to come over to your table before you realize you have to go yourself. Oh, we have to order at the bar. OK, let me remember what 5 different people wanted and relay that to the guy standing back there. But of course the receipt has a line for a tip. I bet 90% of customers leave that blank, because there is no service! They offer popcorn as an appetizer if you are so inclined, but it has been sitting all day and is pretty nasty.

The place is a fun-casual atmosphere. Exactly what you would expect. The food was good, not great. But that is part of the charm, there are no surprises here. Just comfort. It's like your buddies basement - except with an impressive selection of beer.

In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
