Good food and service. Everyone very friendly. Good unique menu specialties, knowledgable staff. Overall a diamond in the rough. From the outside it does not impress, but very good once you have arrived.

Love the bar, it's a great place to watch any sports game tons of tv's prices are very reasonable. Would recommend the Chicago style pizza or the wings.

Ate here once before and thought it was ok for a little local place. Stopped in today - was going to eat at the bar. Sat there for 15 minutes and was completely ignored by the blonde lady at the bar. She seemed busy but there was lots of help in the place and she never even acknowledged my existence. Just horrible customer service. Walked out.

The best thing about this place is the beer. They have alot of craft beer on tap, all reasonably priced. Also beer specials all the time. The service is pretty good for the most part. The food is cheap... nothing to write home about. Most of it seems to come from chef sysco so i usually stick with the appetizers. They always seem to have $.50 wings which is awesome for a wing junkie like me. During lunch food takes forever. 45 mins. for 4 burgers and fries. Whats going on in that kitchen? At night the manager does nothing but watch the servers like a hawk. Its one of my biggest pet peeves. Do something! Bus a table, run some food, help the kitchen, pour drinks, fix the tile in the bathroom, lead by example! A manager like that reminds me of when i worked at a corporate restaurant. I can see why they always have new servers.

Reasonable prices, decent appetizers, and accommodating staff. Close to home, so very convenient. Owner does not treat the staff very well, so there is more turnover than there should be. The waitresses are cute and attentive, so I'm there quite often.

Love to see one of these closer to where I now live. Year ago, flew in to see my mom and had a friend pick me up. Long flight and was delayed, so missed dinner and it was past 11pm. We tried a couple places with no luck for dinner, until stopping here. Still had full service kitchen open. Had the fish&chips and two-hearted ale. Stopped by again few weeks ago and had to order same thing.

I was visiting from Petoskey 10/11/12 . The deep dish pizza was good and we had no problems with service .Until the 5:00 shift change behind the bar . The bar tender ( Detroit Tigers Kid Rock jersey ) that day was too busy talking to her regulars instead of paying attention to her customers .It cost me two winners on the Keno . That is the only reason I would not give it 5 stars . If you go ,go early if you want to play Keno .

Verrrry S L O W service. Consistently slow. I would frequent more often but the lack of service is a major drawback. The lack of management in this respect in unacceptable.

We had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but the waitress was very friendly and let us sit anywhere we liked. Good for sitting outside or watching sports with the row of tvs. We had the diablo burger and the chicken ceaser wrap with curly fries and steak fries. Boyfriend said the diablo burger was spicy, so be warned if you're on the fence. They have quite a few craft beers on tap and the selection is very good. Mixed drink was a little weak. A side note: the place has been redone and the bathrooms are clean.

Local watering hole that has had it's ups and downs over the years. When they first opened, we gave it a try, and it was pretty good. Then we went through a spell where none of the menu seemed to come out quite right and the service was hit-or-miss. Decided to give it another try after staying away for about a year, and happy to say, they're back on top! Burgers were great, my wife's nachos were HUGE (although could've had a bit more kick), the fries were perfect, and my wings were out of this world! Thanks to our server, Lisa, for recommending them. I think they were dusted in Jamaican spice, she said. I'm a pretty picky wings guy, and these rank right up near my all time favorites at the Sweetwater Tavern in Detroit. Coincidence? Perhaps. I know the businesses are not related in any way. My daughter's girlfriend had the chicken tenders. Looked sizable and fresh. Great craft beer selection and I've heard very positive reviews about their pizza, so will try that next time. I would be remiss if I did not give a positive shout-out to the manager, Tony, whom we knew from a previous restaurant when he was just a youngster. He does a fabulous job setting the standard for improved service and making sure the customer is always satisfied.

My first visit here was on a Thursday night and it was good. Service was about par for a full bar. I had to wait longer than I usually like for a coffee refill, but, it's a BAR. The atmosphere is sports bar, lots of TV, lots of noise. Not a place for a meaningful conversation but probably great to catch the game. We had the garlic cheese bread appetizer and holy cheese Lord was it good. Not even remotely healthy. Very, very good. I would come back just for this. I ordered a pepperoni pizza, my friend had some chipotle wrap thing. The pizza was just okay. Bar pizza, nothing to say anything about other than it existed and I ate it. I will say a personal size is more apt to split between two. My friend had to return the wrap because it was too spicy. The manager was understanding and accommodating, and brought a new wrap sans chipotle. This lead me also to find out that the manager had also been the guy to bring out our appetizer, bus and refill my coffee. Thankful for his service! It seemed like they didn't have enough help, so it was good to see the manager pitch in. I can't comment on any drinks but I can say I will probably be back and bring friends to see a game instead of a non-local sports bar chain that rhymes with Muffalo Mild Wings.

If it wasn't for the beer selection & decent food there would be no reason to frequent the bar. Building in dire need of repair & cleaning, the employee turnover is amazing which I blame management & makes it hard to really ever feel comfortable in this neighborhood bar & grille.

Dirty bathrooms. Awful owner. Staff is ok but turns over all the time. Fired best bartender. Food ok sometimes. Decent draft list but hard to spend money at a place with a rude GM jorge who is clueless

Cheap beer prices, excellent service from the friendly bartenders and waitresses. What more could you ask for?? Awesome chicken tenders too...wayyyy better than those generic-tasting ones you'll find at most other places. (The waitress said they make their own fry batter in-house, so that explains why!) Only bad part of my visit there yesterday was the Tigers losing to the Orioles to get swept out of the playoffs.

Tony made me an amazing Old Fashioned Drink. It tasted pretty good for a fair price. I don't eat much here but the food is generally good to above average for a local watering hole. They have some awesome waitresses who have been there forever and are great. I have to say thanks to Sanah, Veronica, and Morgan, and Tony for making me happy, even if I give them a hard time.

I'm updating my review. This was our go to good bar food place since we moved to the area last summer. Since my last review we realized we both got sick after every time we eat here. Scary.

Looking for a place to indulge in some guilty pleasures? Sweetwater Bar & Grill is your place. Chicago-style deep dish pizza, meaty wings & a variety of beers on tap are the specialties of this spot. Need I say more? I'm imagining you are already on your way there and have no need to read the rest, but just in case you need some more convincing... The great thing about Sweetwater is that it is exceptionally affordable. Our go-to order includes the wings ($6.99 for 12, $11.99 for 24 & $16.99 for 36), pizza ($12.99-$15.99 for round and $10.99-$19.99 for Chicago-style) and of course beer. They had HopSlam on tap when we were there last time... score! They also have great daily specials. Sweetwater is the perfect place to grab a beer at the bar while you wait for carryout or post up at a table and indulge for hours. The dim lighting, TV lined walls and chill atmosphere contributes to an immediate sense of relaxation. It is the kind of place you want to spend an evening after a long day at work. The outdoor patio is also pretty cozy when the weather is nice.

This place sucks so far. Haven't been Able to order. 20 minutes in. So we arrived @ 850 pm. First beer arrived @ 9:08. She finally came back at 9:30 to take our food order. Food arrived @ 9:50 pm. No silverware, no napkins. They never came. Had to get my own napkins. After we were done had to wait another 15-20 to cash out and actually had to take my card up to the bar to get it done. This was all on a Monday night. Burger was decent but over cooked.

This is a nice little hole-in-the-wall bar. Great food and great staff. We ordered nachos and mini tacos. The tacos were good, but the nachos were delicious!! And there was plenty. Two of us could not finish them. Gave it hell, but that was a HUGE nacho. My Bloody Mary was good too. Good food and drinks. Servers don't suck. Not a bad place. Will be back. Update: try the spicy Asian shrimp. Not too spicy. They are delicious. The quesadilla is tasty too.

Good bar great food and drinks! I'd recommend the fish and chips! It's def amazing. Pizzas are great. If you like salad then I wouldn't suggest the Michigan salad, very tasty. Carry out is good too.

I have to giggle when I think about Sweet Water. My girlfriends and I used to go for happy hour like once a week when we first started working and when I was living in Michigan, not because of the country music, hillbilly loving atmosphere, but because it was comfortable and a place we could go and relax. You could laugh and talk as loud as you wanted, no one would pass any type of judgement because the crowd is "unique" to say the least. Its a hole in the wall bar, which fantastic pizza, and gives me a smile everytime i think of the memories I have had there. It's definetly not the classiest place you'll ever be in but not to bad to grab a cheap beer and have a delicious piece of za.

I am willing to give a restaurant a chance if they have under 10 reviews, even if they are bad. I figure that more people are inspired to leave a bad review that people are to leave a positive. In this case the reviews we right. It took a loooong time to get the food even though they were not busy. We did not order anything complicated. A bar/grill is only as good as it's burger and the burger was not good. I ordered a medium burger and it came out looking and tasting more like a hockey puck. The waitress was apologetic and pretty much explained all of the problems that they are experiencing. The manager seems like he has heard his share of complaints, but doesn't seem to want to fix any of them. They did ask if there was anything they could do. I'm not one to try to get a free meal, so my wish would have been that we could have gone back in time to go to another restaurant.

I have eaten here a number of times and have had good food from all areas of the menu. The pizza, particularly the deep dish, is THE BEST!!!!! Mixed drinks are on the weak side and the beer prices are good. Service is relatively fast and always served with a smile. I'm posting again to say that I've had good experiences here now for several years!

I am in walking distance from Sweet Water, which is really convenient, being there are few cabs available in the Waterford area. I like their wings and cheap apps, but I think they need to pour better when it comes to their mixed drinks. Their drinks are beyond weak and it's almost impossible to get a buzz on there, unless you do shots and drink beer.

Food is good and the prices are great. They really do have the best pizza around, especially for the price!

Great food, Slow service. The pizza could be the best in the area.
