Pretty good-sized menu but they have added their own unique twist to a lot of the dishes. I prefer my Chinese dishes to be more traditional.

Let's do the time warp !!!!!!!This is a mom and pop place that never changes. I have been going here since I was a young child. The owners are always there and super friendly. It is nothing special, but a decent American-style Chinese meal. I prefer the modern pan asian cuisine out there, but from time to time, I feel nostalgic. You do get the cafeterial pull apart buns, egg roll which is filled with beansprouts and mini shrimp, soup, rice, almond cookie and a fortune cookie. The maryann's chicken is good and is their version of General Tsos. Also, the mooshu, almond chicken and seasame are good options. You can enjoy your meal with a hot tea or a zombie....good to have options.

Great service and the best chinese food around. The fried rice and egg rolls...I've never had any that compare. And the plum sauce? TO DIE FOR.

visited michigan for a wedding and i was recommended to try china jade. who could have thought that a chinese restaurant in the middle of michigan would be fantastic! they have this "plum sauce" that was exquisite with the appetizers. We went ahead and got the usual dish my bf gets which is the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. I swear to goodness that their fried rice is amazing!!! and the sweet and sour chicken was amazing with the large fresh pineapples used with thick white chicken. YUMMY!

This place seemed the most authentic of all the Chinese places I've eaten at in the past few years, and the wait staff is super friendly! I highly recommend it!

China Jade will always be my favorite for Chinese. The food is incredible and inexpensive. I've never had better wonton or fried rice. CJ is a family owned establishment that prides itself on serving the customers. Great people and great food! Go there!

i have never had a bad meal here. the food is excellent and they will always let you order the 'lunch size' which is another thing i love about this place. i used to live in waterford and would eat here at least once a week. but now i live in auburn hills and only get to enjoy china jade occasionally. and when i do it is worth it. china jade also puts coupons in the entertainment book so that's always a bonus. things i love about china jade: prompt service including carry out won ton soup (my husband loves their egg drop soup) egg rolls dinner rolls! sesame chicken fried rice! frequent water/pop refills friendly staff- if you don't know what something is, just ask! i have also enjoyed; almond chicken, sweet and sour chicken, sweet and sour shrimp. highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

Eating here never stops being an experience for me, and I have eaten here a lot. This place is decorated like an opium den and the wait staff could not be any more friendly or prompt. The cheap fare goes a long way, can't go wrong with any of the combination platters, all under 10 bucks and served in five courses. you'll hardly have time to finish one course before the next is set in front of you. Nothing beats the hot tea, especially because it's free. And ask for some of the big ass hawaiian rolls another great freebie for patrons in the know. Can't say this is hands down the best chinese food i have ever eaten in my life but definitely the best overall locale to eat it when you get that craving.

Very disappointed! Not what they use to be. I use to love their egg foo young, the gravy was thin & salty. I believe their under new management. Horrible service

Meh and Eww. Came to Yelp yesterday looking for a new GOOD Chinese restaurant and read the four great reviews for China Jade. We (okay, I) decided to try it as it's pretty close to our abode and we are getting tired of the local Chinese buffets around town. So, the three of us (hubby and mom) get there with big eyes and empty tummies, ready to feast. The sizzling rice soup was first, we haven't had it since the House of Hunan closed. Ouch, the broth tasted almost bitter, like it was sitting around for more days than it should have. It went down hill from there, the poo poo platter was a deep fried assortment of mess. And the two seafood entrees was bland and boring. Who said this place was reasonable?!? We could have eaten fine dining for the price of this dismal meal. Having said this, I don't like writing anything on such a negative level. The service was fast and friendly, just so I can end this on a positive But, never again. Sorry.

Honestly, the best Chinese food I've ever tasted. The rice is moist & soft, and just amazing. They give really nice portions too!

This used to be our favorite Chinese restaurant before moving to LA. Stopped in today for lunch. I loved their Hot & Sour soup and gladly paid extra and waited as it was made fresh. Not any more. It comes out of a pot like all of the other soups. They claim to not use MSG but my case of dry mouth after eating was proof that they do. It appears to be under new owners who are not maintaining the same quality. It is off our list.

My husband has been coming to China Jade since he was a little kid and has always loved it. I can see why. This place doesnt look like much from the outside and can easily go unnoticed but the food is delicious. In all the years we have eaten here we have never had a problem with the food or service. Great prices, good food and friendly staff. You cant beat that.

I really like China Jade. The service is always fast and friendly. The prices are very reasonable and the food good. My only complaint is that I wish they had more unfried items (too much oil hurts my tummy! Lol)

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
