This is your typical strip mall Mexican food restaurant. We had guacamole dip, bean burrito, and cheese & onion enchiladas. The food seemed fresh and very good in my opinion. The service was friendly and while a little slow, not bad. If you are craving Mexican, this will be a fine choice.

awesome fresh made mexican food, nothing like a lot of other chains or taco bell, real nice atmosphere and the service is good, best cheese dip and fajitas in the area.

LOVE this food. not your typical midwestern wet burrito joint. the cheese isn't yellow and the sauces are authentic. for the person who loves real mexican food-not tex-mex.

Great place for lunch. Sometimes I'm on a time limit and the food seems like it takes less than 7 minutes to arrive. The wait staff is usually attentive and quick w/refills of soda, chips and salsa. Food is always great and you can't beat the price.

Down around Detroit (Westland and Ypsilanti) there are two Los Amigos. I've not confirmed if it a franchise or not. I also understand that there are 1 or 2 in the Lansing, MI area also. Anyhow, the staff is both polite and attentive to the customer(s). The food is plentiful and almost always requires a to go box. tasty, flavorful, and hot in temperature. The salsa is very mild, but they will bring a mexican hot sauce to the table to attain your heat approval. The menu is plentiful and awaiting your desire for a specific item. I highly recommend this restaurant for salsa etc,

I was there on Cinco De Mayo. Place was slammed but the staff really hustled to get everyone seated. Service was as little slow but completely understandable. Margaritas were delicious and the Carne Asada was very tasty.

Best Mexican food in the area. Good prices and service every time I've been there. Love the cheese dip and burrito special with chicken. The fajitas are always good traditional or in a burrito. My kids love the rice and quesadillas.

Probably the most authentic tex-mex you will find. This hidden gem is one of the best in area. I would recommend the fajitas for two there was plenty for me and my wife. The service is hit or miss though.

We picked up carry-out to take back to our hotel. The food was just ok, but it got worse when I found a one inch piece of sharp plastic in my beans (see picture). Even the salsa was bad. I suggest finding an alternative to eating here

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
