If I'm on this side of town and want a sandwich, this is it. I haven't had a sandwich that i did not like yet, I've tried more hot sauces then i probably need to and experimented with sodas all while watching one of the 3 tvs. Staff for the most part are great, friendly and quick to get you your food. Parking seems to be an issue for some people but thats a different story all together. Coming from Florida i was happy to see this place open up and doing well. If you like subway you'll love firehouse.

I really like sub sandwiches. Decided to stop on my way to get groceries. Hate to shop on an empty stomach. I sure wish the parking lot connected into the Meijer lot, but ya can't have everything. The entry was mildly annoying. I guess it must be some kind of baffle for west winds. The menu is posted on the wall behind the preparation area. Luckily, there are printed copies on the counter, because it was hard to read the fine print on the sign. I like to compare similar items, so I ordered my favorite - Italian. It was loaded with meat and nicely decked out, as this sandwich is served "fully involved". It came warm with a toasty hint to the bun - just the way I like it. I took a bite and something was....off. There was a distinctively sweet flavor that I found very off-putting. The only thing I can figure out is that it must be the Italian dressing. As I perused the "Fully Involved" ingredients, I surmised that it may be the mayo. I don't usually have mayonnaise on my Italian subs. Firehouse seems like a nice place to get consistent quality. I will definitely try again, but will be more selective in my ingredient choices and probably try a different item.

We had never heard of Firehouse Subs, let alone tried it. Well, that changed last night. My husband ordered the "New York Steamer" and I had the "Club On A Sub" (fully involved). I quite honestly cannot remember the last time I fell so completely in love with a food item! My new favorite and I can't wait to have another! The prices are reasonable, store was clean and neat, and the staff very friendly and presentable. I did, however, deduct one star due to the hanging, chin-length bangs of the young woman preparing our food. Though she appeared neat and clean, as well as stylishly presentable wearing the uniform cap, the hair hanging and swinging in her face was off-putting. I am old school and prefer food prep personnel to have all hair neatly tucked away. You may think Firehouse Subs is another Subway or Quiznos...but you'd be wrong. It's much better!

This place is beyond amazing. Their subs are delicious, fresh and always aesthetically pleasing. The workers are always smiling and the place is always clean. I recommend this sub shop over any other restaurants on Henry street.
