Overpriced, mediocre food and terrible service. The'Cajun' shrimp linguini actually laughed at me as it whispered "we know you'll never eat here again if you have the choice."

OK, I've now been here a ton of times, can't get away from this place. It's still crazy and the service went from bad to OK, food isn't bad, games are the real attraction they are pricey and will empty your wallet fast. It's a Dave and Busters, cold beer, OK Food & tons and tons of games. Great place for the family or just to watch a game. I'm moving my review from a 1 star to a solid 3

This place is horrible!! Do not waste your money! We came here on a Friday night with children for a child's birthday. We sat at 7:15 and did not get our food until 9:15, keep in mind the place kicks kids out after 10. The children were starving and very cranky by then, the food was cold and our waitress was very rude. Our drinks were never refilled and our dirty plates were never cleared. And when we complained they gave us coupons were if you spend $10 and you get $10 for free. Do not go to this ridiculous place!!!!

The food at D&B was great! Much better than I would expect for a gaming center/bar. The menu was extensive, including many healthy eating options.

Hosted a party for 16 people here on Sunday 27 July. Our group included guests from age 8 - 83. None of the "off the shelf" party packages worked for my group so the "corporate" party planner worked out a "package" with the Livonia manager, and then acted like they were doing me a big favor. We had a reserved space but instead of having one large table as the planner told me I would have, we had two separate tables. Our waitress provided great service, but the kitchen failed big time - it took over 15 minutes for all of our entrees to be served. The kids ordered milk shakes and about 15 minutes after they ordered them the manager came out to tell me that the kitchen was out of milk and couldn't make any milk shakes. By the time we were leaving (around 6:15 pm) the clientele was starting to get a big rough (the presence of uniformed security "armed" with tasers roaming around the facility made me feel that this was not the place to celebrate an 11 year old's birthday).

If I could give this location zero stars I would. Been to other D&B and have had a great time so was really excited when one opened close to me. Went on a Friday night with another couple. We sat at the bar ordered drinks and food. We ordered an appetizer first then about 15 minutes later ordered our meals. The couple we went with ordered two of the same salad. We ordered steak and shrimp to split. The appetizer came out soon after we placed our dinner order. Then within MINUTES our friend's salads came out. One of the salads looked great. The other which was suppose to be the same exact salad had half the chicken and no cheese on it. Side by side it was pretty apparent one salad was more superior. Then at least 20 minutes later my food came. I cut into the meat and it was RAW inside - I had ordered medium. Flagged down the manager and he was really embarrassed about the one salad and our meat. Manager came back a few minutes with a replacement salad. Then about 20 minutes later manager came back to ask if we had gotten our meat yet. We told him no and about 10 minutes after that another server brought our meat. Cut into it, also raw inside. Tried to flag down the manager, wouldn't looked over and avoided walking near us. Never been to place that didn't seem to care as this Dave and Busters. Won't be back.

I wrote a review a couple months ago about how my experience at Dave and Busters was great but after returning last night I take everything back. Going on a Wednesday we understood the service would be a little slow so we weren't too upset about the service until the end. When we went to clear our table which included our cupcakes that we brought in the server told us they had taken a couple. When we told her they weren't for her she responded that it was some sort of tip for holding our table the whole night. When I told the manager what had happened he seemed like he was interested in helping us but that seemed to change quickly. After he spoke with the waitress he came back to us and accused one of our guests that they had given the waitress the cupcakes. That of course wasn't true but it was closing time and we weren't gong to waste anymore time on a situation that clearly wasn't going to be resolved. Also the dress code is a little ridiculous, sorry for the long review.

Ok so.. 1. Grilled chicken & artichoke penne : pasta was dry, some of it was cold and some of it was warm, the artichoke heart was ok, everything else in that specific meal... ya I wouldn't order it again. ( on a side note the manager did asked me how was it and offered to replace or choose something else, and as always I said no, cause in the end that is a matter of personal taste I guess. 2. Next was fire-grilled salmon : fish was bit rough on the edges but all togather it was better then I expected from a place like this, and the rice was good, also came with almost no salt which is a good thing cause you can always had more but you can't reduce any. Service : bar was ok, I had Stacy and another, for 1 time, can't remember the other name but they were ok as long as you have them, bar wasn't that full but still took time for them to check on you. Table service : Tiffany, with the workload she had, which was lot more then the bar had, and they had 2-3 bartenders at the same time, Tiffany was awsome with time, attantion and every other detail you could think of. ( again that was with a lot of ppl on her tables, she still seemed to be happy to serve you, and happy to talk a bit which seemed to me she did with every table and that's being a good server. 3. Management : Dan the manager came to me after a few drinks, saying ( in a nice way ) I had to much to drink, and I should wait a while before I had another, lots of you think that's bad thing, I think it's awsome and great management to take their time and do this, even tho, I do believe the bar tender should of said something instead of spending the manager time since I'm sure they got more important things to do. But still that was a wonderful personal touch, we don't want anyone to get a DUI or kill someone or even them self. Also at the same time he did came over more then once asking me about the food and about how I was doing ( and no I wasn't acting drunk or anything yet ) so great job Dan and thank you for your concern. Atmosphere : yes they are lots of kids but I did came early so that is to be expected. All around : prob come here again, I always sit on the bar ever where I go, this place I prob won't sit at the bar again ( never seen a place where I get better and faster service on a table then on a bar where they have less pp and more employees then the waitress ) Other then that, waitress Tiffany and manager Dan were perfect, food, well natter of taste really I liked one dish, didn't really liked the other. All in all will come back again. Only reason for the "naked" stars is the bar service. Only reason for the "full" stars is everything else but the games. Next time I'll update review for games but no time for that this evening. Thank you Dan and Tiffany :-)

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY AT DAVE AND BUSTERS!!! YAY!!! It seems that a couple months out of the gate have worked in D&B's favor. My last experience was only slightly horrible but things were much better this time around. I was with a party of maybe 20 for a birthday celebration and people were coming and going for the majority of the day. I didn't order food this time, but drinks came out correct and in a timely manner. Shout out to our waitress, poor girl was working her first shift by herself and she had the pleasure of dealing with our ridiculous group. Needless to say you bring it on yourself serving five 100 oz pitchers of AO to one group but she did a GREAT job. The only thing stopping me from giving the full 5 star is the fact that I didn't order any food - hopefully for my next update I'll be able to do that :)

A bit of a strange location, but easy to find on Victor Parkway, just east of 275, north of Seven Mile. This was our first visit to D&B and sorry to see the bad reviews and low stars. We had a most excellent visit! WRIF key party was being held at this location - we were trying to qualify for a key to potentially win a new Harley. The food and games were just while we waited for the drawings, but we really had a great evening there. We arrived about 6:30 and caught happy hour - half off all alcoholic drinks. Our waitress, Tiffany, was very attentive and gave us the lowdown on the game card and food combos; which was the best value for first timers and how they work. We picked from the combo menu. I had the Cabo Chicken - which was the only healthier option available. My hubs had the BBQ chicken meal. Outstanding food. Chicken was very freshly grilled, still very hot and cooked perfectly. My dish had spicy rice and broccoli. Even the broccoli was perfectly al dente, not wet and still hot. I was most impressed by the protein to carb ratio. Two chicken breasts, with small sides. Enough to fill you, but not too much that you need a box. Who wants a box while are playing video games anyway. The rice was VERY spicy but I like that and it was good. Glad I didn't decide to change it. My hubs loved the garlic mashed potatoes. LOTS of drink options. I was able to try three different ones before the happy hour was up: Strawberry Mule, Walk the Plank, and strawberry Watermelon margarita. Walk the plank was a little too creamy, like creamy OJ for me and all were very sweet with low alcohol content but very fun options. Strawberry Watermelon Margarita had a fun green rim of flavored sugar with strawberry ice cube. They were just fun drinks. Bonus with there being two happy hours. We hit the arcade with loaded cards and had a blast. I challenged the WRIF rock girl Ashley to the Kung Fu Panda game (beat her and won a prize) and got to play the new STAR WARS Battle Pod. Ok I geeked out a bit but that game was amazing. We racked up a bucket of tickets and had a great date night. We will definitely be back and most likely on half-off game night, which is every Wednesday. The place was pretty empty and I can imagine how crazy it would be on a weekend and busy - but there aren't happy hours on the weekends so why bother. Improvements - Put the drink prices on the menu. Not cool to not know what you are getting into but waitress assured me the most pricey was $10 so I just went with it but don't like not knowing. Tech on the floor - someone needs to be available for busted machines or problems with cards, without having to trek all the way up front Add at least one more healthy option to the combo menu.

Having never been to any other locations I would have to say that this place is clean and well maintained. I have been to this location a few times and I haven't seen many games out of service or games that have glitchiness. When they first opened I ate here and the food was awful! The service was awful. Food took forever to get to us, and we didn't even get the proper order. Everything about the food portion of the place sucked. Granted they have been open for a while (8 months to a year?) so maybe they have raised their caliber. Played the Star Wars Battle Pod today for the first time, and it was worth the 15.0 credits. If they keep changing out the games & maintaining the favorites it will make the experience that much better!

Superbowl Sunday!!!! Feed your face and shoot some pool. Because of the snow storm overnight and throughout the day they weren't very crowded. I love all the screens here so we trudged through the snow. We had a table right smack in the middle of all those screens. They had some specials for appetizers. Had the pretzel and dogs. Hot and delicious dipped in mustard. Cheese Steak Time for me! Not the best but not bad but it was hot. Could have used a little more steak. Fries were decent, could have been a little hotter. We played quite a bit of pool before eating and watching THE game. Plenty of beer was consumed. Since the game was so long I actually tried the donut hole dessert. These were extremely good as you had chocolate and white round holes and dipped in the chocolate and raspberry sauces. Even though it was slow because of the weather it's still noisy there with all the game noises. The televisions were louder. Noise doesn't bother me, I take it in stride and make my own noises. Let's do it again next Superbowl. Come and look for us.

My first D&B visit in Michigan. It has been many years since I walked into any D&B, and aside from the re-branding (which I absolutely dig), it's the same D&B. We came and took part in the combo food and game deal. It was $32 after a Stella Artois beer with a steak/shrimp meal, so it wasn't that bad. The food was just okay; steak had a nice sear with some crispy onion strings, but the teriyaki sauce it was paired with was too sweet. We fixed it by adding some A1 sauce. The extra acidity in that helped tremendously. There was also a side order of shrimp skewer, and it was just okay too. Too sweet. I have to say that the quality of food though was pretty good; think a step up from BWW. Our waitress was friendly and quick on her feet. On the gaming end, the selection is mediocre. I liked that they had the new Mario Kart 8 available, but they really short change you on game play. They're offering free play for 5 various games, but honestly, the choices are boring. At least offer one that is more engaging and then you'll lure more customers in. Prizes are wah wah too. I noticed that they have a few function rooms, and the space is very big, so good for hosting big parties. Overall, I think the space is decorated and designed very well, but other than that, it's still the same D&B that I remember from the early 2000s. I'll be back, but not on the regular.

Kids of most ages just seem to LOVE Dave and busters, I usually just get a migraine from all the noise and kids on sugar OD running like crazy. Last time we sent the kid off on his way and spent our time in the restaurant. A win win for everyone. I tried their pretzel hot dogs as an appetizer and they were surprisingly good, just a little bit salty. I went for the chimichurri sirloin steak and they cooked it exactly like I had requested. It was nice, thick, tender and tasted great. It was served with a small salad and oven fried potatoes and it was all good. On top of that, we had great service. She came by just at the right time and made sure everything was fine and made sure we got refills. They also have a pretty good deal on drinks, at least during the weeks.

Rating D&B's is difficult if you don't take into account that it is an entertainment venue for those who love arcade style games. For that it is a solid 4 star establishment. Given the amount of people rolling through on a Saturday night, it is a very clean, secure and fun time for kids, young adults and even some older folks who love the games. I was impressed with the food. The menu has a good selection and the prices are reasonable. Our server, Megan, was fantastic -- efficient, friendly and helpful. My kids were home for Thanksgiving and we had 3 generations at the table. Everyone found something good to eat. Yes, the games are not cheap, but they clearly keep the interest of a wide range of ages. My two complaints, because I'm old and not into arcade games, is the noise and lack of places to sit (and not either take up an eating space or feel compelled to drink). Overall, it's a great place to enjoy an evening with the kids.

Terrible service.when walked in, no clean table was ready. Asked 3 staff members to clean the table, nobody cares. Waited about 20 minutes to get hold of someone to clean up the table!! Understand it's a busy place even weekday evenings, but the whole place is very much disorganized.

Dirty. Dirty. Yucky. Dirty. NEVER eating in the restaurant again. It took forever and did I mention they sat (and left us!!) at a totally filthy table?

Let me preface this review by stating that I love Dave and Busters, in general. They're a little pricey, but I almost always have a great time. Last night, however, I made the mistake of taking my 6 year old to eat there before gaming. Lesson learned. The service was terrible - the waiter was nice, but slow, and he messed up my daughter's order. We waited so long for her food to come out correctly (which was noodes with butter sauce, not the hardest dish in the world!) - that I ended up sharing my burger with her and cancelling her meal. I was also surprised that they charged us each $2.99 for a drink, despite the fact that she got a kid sized soda and I had a regular one. When I asked to have the meal taken off, he sighed and said ok. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was having a rough night (I've worked crappy serving jobs on Friday nights, too) - but hopefully he finds something else soon, because it was clear he wasn't happy there, and it was reflected in his poor service. Next time, we'll eat elsewhere before gaming. PS: D&B, if you want me to order an alcoholic beverage, please put the prices on the menu! That makes me crazy, having to ask what price each of the drinks, are, and having the waiter not know the answer. Thanks.

Overall I love Dave and busters, but I can say that it can get expensive if your not careful. The arcade speaks for itself, one of the better arcades in the area to be honest (and they do offer great prizes, I would rank them number one in prices overall). The bar area is nice, high in price, but they offer one or two things on special. The restaurant here is actual also pretty good. I had their mountain nachos, which are some of the best nachos you will ever have and probably some of the biggest you will ever have (it is literally a mountain). For my meal I did the $17 eat and play combo, which i think (can't remember for sure) get you 60+ points for the games and I went with the lady fingers meal (which are chicken fingers, which are good, kind of like chili chicken crispers and they also have good fries). Overall a very very fun time and all under one roof, can't beat that.

The restaurant portion has terrible service. Very slow and not responsive to customer needs. Manager is a twit. However, the desserts are good and games are enjoyable.

This D&B has only been open a couple weeks. I went there for lunch today with 8 other co-workers. We spilt a couple orders of the pretzel bites which were good. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and seasoned fries which I would only give 2.5 of 5 stars. It was supposed to be a "favorite" according to their menu. While the fries were acceptable the only thing good about the sandwich was the bun. The meat was a bit tough and chewy and the cheese was more processed than Kwame in 36th District Court. It was bad. As for the size of this place it feels like there is plenty of space for everyone to eat. There are 3 large private dining areas that can be used as 1 big room as it was set up for today for some lucky company's holiday party. The pool tables can also be covered and used as tables which is what they were doing today too. I'm told this particular site does not have as big as a gaming area as the one up at M-53 and M-59 / Hall Road. I can't say myself but they have all the games I would expect to see... some car / boat / motorcycle racing games, skeeball, pop-a-shot, and more. Some machines do spit out tickets that can be redeemed for prizes. Credits are stored on a Power Card that can be "recharged" with more credits at kiosks on the floor. Keep the Power Card for future visits to save a few bucks and not need to buy a new Power Card. Overall I give the place a 3 of 5 stars. I would not really go here expecting some fantastic food fare although it's better than a place like Chuck E Cheese. For a couple beers and playing a few games with friends it hits the spot.

Honestly i had a great time - please note i came at 9:30pm (21and up unless supervised by a parent) I was a little scared from the reviews i was reading and all the low rating but i guessing it depends when you are going. I thought i was goingt o run into tons of kids that i might be pushing out the way (Lol!) but i didn't. So adults - just wait until late (after 9pm) and then you'll have a blast. Little pricey so i wouldn't suggest bringing little kids to this espeically if you're on a tight budget. Beer in the bottle ($4) and mixed drinks ($8); highly suggest drinking before you get there.

Food was mediocre at best. TVs are too high up at the bar, so you have to crane your neck to see them, or look across the room to see another TV. The drink I ordered tasted like cough medicine mixed with a popsicle. For the amount of money we paid, I expected better food. My mashed potatoes were luke warm, and the chicken breast was dry and flavorless. We didn't do the gaming part, but that looked fun and I wouldn't mind making an evening out of that, and skip the food. THe biggest complaint is the layout of the front area. You walk in and immediately are in line for god only knows what (I later found out it's the tokens/gaming purchasing area) and trying to figure out where to go for a table vs. gaming was difficult. WAY too crowded. Lucky's in Novi does a much better job of this. It's disorienting from the minute you walk in. Not a good start to my experience. I would recommend Lucky's over this 10x over as it is more adult-themed and not as Chucky-Cheese-Chaotic.

This review is for the gaming side only as we did not eat or drink. The staff is attentive and polite from when you walk in the lobby until you depart. We had a glitch on one game and Chris - one of the floor techs, came over, fixed it and swiped so we got our credit back. Quick, efficient and proper way to address an issue. The Gift Center has employees that crank away and serve you with a smile. We have gone a few times, and this place seems to have solid management.

Okay. First off, I'll admit that the idea of an adult arcade really gets me excited. My fiancé had never been and I had only been to the one in Utica many many moons ago. So many moons ago, in fact, that kids weren't allowed there still! Chuck E Cheese is for kids. I'm not allowed to roll up in there and start pushing kids off my favorite games...so why do they get to do it to here now, too? The fact that there tons of little turds running around unaccompanied by their parents and screaming wildly really turned me off. (Maybe this review will change once I have children and decide that I need to drink in public with my kids? But for now, it stays the same) Bar service is sub par. Tons of teens sitting in seats at the bar drinking water and taking up space. Finally find a hole to squeeze into make eye contact with the assumed bartender. Assumed bartender was, in fact, not a bartender so he just looked away and left me hangin'. Finally got service...my Cabernet came in a non-stemmed martini glass...which made walking around a crowded place so much fun. Also, don't try to double fist drinks here 'cause it ain't allowed! One person can purchase a drink for themselves. If you want to buy a drink for a date, they're gonna have to come prove their over 21...another reason to have IT BE LIMITED TO 21+. If you go on a Saturday evening, prepare to wait in line. It goes pretty fast on its own but there's tons of entertainment while your waiting. We got to watch a fourteen year old girl twerking up on the window to her friends inside. The international sign for "I'm waiting in line". Also be prepared to spill drinks on yourself as kids dart out in front of you. Bottom line...we will make the trek out to the Utica location from now on. And that's just based on our lack of ability to deal with idiots, rude kids, and twerking.

We met up with a group of friends at Dave and Busters while in town for the holidays. What a great place to grab drinks, food and have a fun time with a group! As this was our first time at Dave and Busters, we did find it a little confusing how it all works, from getting a table to buying a card to play games, etc. It would be nice if the bouncers greeted and explained things as you walk in instead of just standing there. Our waitress was less than friendly, and hardly checked on us, but it was obvious that we were there to enjoy the games anyways. The beer tap they provide for your table is awesome and saves money when your entire party is planning on beer. The appetizers and desserts we had were good, but nothing too exciting. We had a blast playing all the different games and cashing in our tickets for prizes. I would highly recommend Dave and Busters for a night out with a group, even with different ages, this place is a good time!

I made a visit to Dave and Busters on opening day in December 2013 with a new date. I had been to the Utica location years ago. I typically visit Lucky Strikes in Novi which does not seem as pricey. The hostess pretty much sells the combo meal with card for games. It is a good deal if you plan on doing both. The place is still rather pricey. The food was good but not great. When you get done paying for a meal, a drink and some games the prices can get above $80. There is also a good bar and a variety of TV's for sporting venues. The waiter was pleasant and helpful. I may visit again but no time soon.

Fabulous concept but terrible execution. My first trip was on a late Saturday night when they first opened. There was a line, which could be forgiven since it was due to fire code. When we finally got seated at a table, we were starving! But the total time spent at the table waiting to order, get our food, and pay had to be at least 2.5 hours. Additionally, our waitress was dropping f-bombs left and right. I approached a manager about the issue and instead of thanking me for the opportunity to improve his staff, he questioned me and asked me for examples. Um, she said FUCK. REPEATEDLY. I mean, really? I played some games and won a ton more tickets than any other place I've been to. I stayed longer that I would have considering the terrible service ONLY because it was super cold out and we had to park far away. My second visit was mid-day on a Saturday. Quick line but this time due to ID'ing policy. I was also told I couldn't wear my sunglasses inside. I have terrible migraines and was completely devastated but their staff was again, unhelpful and rude. We sat at a bar and again, the time at our table was unbearably long. Each time our waitress approached she had some excuse for her slow service. Ma'am, that is your job. I truly don't care if it is shift-change, 100 people just got sat, or if you just walk incredibly slow. I want my food and I want out. I basically will only ever go back for friends' events. If I want chain food, I can go elsewhere. If I want arcade games, I can go elsewhere. They aren't offering much that I can't find somewhere else so unless their management changes, this will never be a place I want to attend.

Long time fan of Dave and Busters and opening one up near Novi? Well that's a win - win. The Utica location was nice but too far of a drive and a little out dated IMO. This location is new, slightly smaller but they did an excellent job of making the best of the space they have. The bar is cool with copious amounts of TVs all over which make watching your final four hopeful loose to an unworthy team just a little more bearable! The alcohol helps with that too. The drinks arrived on a steady pace and the food was tasty. It's a busy place (read: great evening out ) so plan ahead 'cause it can be packed. The games are fun, clean and plentiful. I am a little disappointed that Daytona is not in the roster, it's a classic guys...come on! I did find a suitable alternative however which if I squinted my eyes and enjoyed a slightly alcohol heavy mixed drink...it was remarkably similar. I would highly recommend over some of the other arcade/food/bar options in the area. D&B did a great job with this place.

Have been here 3 times now. First time was decent (service) as the food seems to all come out of a can and portions are tiny for the prices they charge. Service was extremely slow and mind boggling slow for how busy it was. Managers were not helping anyone and just seemed to walk in circles......needless to say they need to really take a look at their training and how to be a friendly server. My family felt like we were bugging the staff because we came in with kids....... It will be awhile before we return

Food is overpriced and in the quality range of Applebee's or Chili's. The customer service experience is what drove down this rating. Multiple people, not just one particular. They all seem annoyed. No experience that made me want to bring myself or encourage others to come back.

I'd rate the games 4-5 stars, but dining only 1. I'd highly recommend NOT eating at the restaurant. We got there at 5 and there was an hour wait, which was expected on a Saturday night and wasn't a big deal since we could play games while waiting. We were sat around 6:20 and the drinks and appetizer experience went fine (except for not getting straws for our drinks, including a milkshake). We finished our appetizers and were sitting and waiting for about 15-20 minutes without even having ordered our entrees yet. Our server seemed to be taken up with a large table and didn't even come to check on us. During this time, we saw several tables leave and the dirty tables sat for about an hour before getting bussed. Meanwhile there were workers randomly pushing chairs in or sweeping slowly instead of actually bussing tables. Now I know why there was an hour and 20 minute wait. The floor was disgusting and sticky with food all over the place. Finally another server came by and asked if we wanted to order and would give our order to our server. We did but then waited another half hour or so for our food (still not having been checked on by our original server). My husband's food was wrong so it was sent back. We were all done with our food for at least 10 minutes when he finally got his, and we waited while he ate. Then the bills took about 20 minutes. Overall, it was a 2 hour dining experience (not including the wait) which should have been only 1 hour. We complained to the manager and each of us received $25 game play cards. The food itself was good. I still would not go back to this restaurant because the experience itself was horrible.

I have been to other Dave and Busters, and loved them! Last night was my first experience at the D&B in Livonia though, and I have to say I am so not impressed. The customer service was TERRIBLE and the game section is smaller than other locations, or at least does not have the variety of games that I expected. The food was great! I had Chicken and Waffles (Yum!) Our waitresses were great too, but I believe they were over worked, and so not as attentive as they could be. The whole restaurant seemed to be understaffed. The Bartenders were the worst. I stood at the bar for ten minutes without even being acknowledged. At that point I walked away. Later in the evening I decided to try again. A gentleman actually made eye contact with me, and walked away. I had to finally wave one of them down with a twenty in my hand to get any service. I love the D&B on M-59. I will continue to go to that one. Because Livonia was not at all what I hoped for.

So I read the Yelp reviews before I went to this particular location and while I can say that I feel the pain of the others that came here to post since they opened in December, I wouldn't say the place was totally bad. We came on Saturday the 8th around 8 PM and it was very busy with people of all ages. The time kept ticking down until 10 PM when the place turned to 21 or older which was really nice. The bar service was a little slow compared to other bars I've been to. It was almost like you were invisible just standing there waiting and you simply had to try hard to flag someone down. I can't speak of the food because the people I was with was more interested in the games. So would I or the people I was with go ahead? I would say yes however would go only after 10 PM so all the kids are gone for the night.

I would really give it a 2.5 I guess you have to be in the right mood for this type of place. Went there yesterday to watch the Lions game. Sitting in the sports bar area it reminded me of sitting in MGMS Casino Bar. Very big, very loud, and you can see all the lights flashing from the game area like a Casino. If you like sitting in a Casino bar to watch sports then you will like it here. I personally did not care for it because it was difficult to concentrate on the game. There were hundreds of screaming little kids running around with their parents chasing them. (I like kids too!) It reminded me of a Chuck-E-Cheese in that aspect. I had 2 Blue Moons at 7.25 each and we split a couple of apps. Food was decent but nothing special. My mother in law who is pushing 60 was carded and not allowed to order a drink because she left her license at home. Now my MIL looks good for her age but she does look at least 50. So she was a little miffed. To sum it up. Lots of lights, lots of noise, lots of games, lots of TV, lots of ghetto attitudes and lots of kids. From what I have heard they have had trouble keeping servers due to bad tipping. This is Dave & Busters "Detroit Style"

First time here. Left my iPhone 5 unaccompanied on the table in the bar area. Came back 2 minutes later and it was gone along with our dirty plates. Asked the ONLY other table in the area (a man and his young daughter) who was sitting directly behind us if anyone besides the waitress had been at our table - he said no. This only leads me to believe one thing - the staff are thieves. The only thing the manager on duty did was say he would look in the lost and found (uh, it wasn't lost.. It was stolen) despite the fact that he knew the area was rather unoccupied and the only other people walking around our table were his staff. Don't you have cameras?? I could have notified police but was not wanting to cause a scene. How unfortunate that someone would do such a thing. Will never be a patron here again.

I HATE THIS PLACE!!! I'll never go back. I gave it 2 stars because I didn't stay long enough to try the food. This review is strictly based on atmosphere. The place was packed! It was very loud, full of games, kids running all over the place. It was like Chucky Cheese meets the MGM Grand. Seriously, it's like a casino for kids. Really...is this what WE NEED TO EXPOSE KIDS TO!?? Yeah, let's get 'em gambling early...get 'em used to the flashing lights, the sounds, and shoveling your money into games. They can't go to the bar yet, but it's there. Yes, it is different than the old arcades, and the Chucky Cheese type places. This is WAY over the top. Seriously, I think the entire concept is just bad. I'm not telling you what to do, you're free to take your kid's there, but I wouldn't. I'm no moral cop, but c'mon now...

Well it comes to reviews like this that are quick and easy... An hour wait (and I still don't have my BLT)... For a flippin BLT?!!! I mean seriously!!!! Some of the worst service I have ever experienced... And I typically like D&B, not this one though!!

I have two different experiences here. I guess I will write about both. My first experience here was a Saturday night. It was very busy (which was expected). I got there around 10-10:30 pm. They were IDing at the door because it is 18+ after 11 I believe? I found this weird because I saw a lot of kids in there through the rest of the night, not sure if they can just stay in if they get there before the ID check? Anyway, we were here for a friends birthday so they already had a table, so no wait there. There was no service at our table, or well if there was I never saw the server. So I went up to the bar - waited about 20 minutes for a drink! Granted I know it was busy, there were about 5 bartenders I saw. The part that upset me was that people who were walking up to the bar AFTER me, were being served before me. They try really hard not to acknowledge you. They dont even try to tell you "be right with you" or even realize you're there. I didnt stay long, had it not been my friends birthday, I probably would have just left. Today we went again for another birthday for lunch. Today is Wednesday and lunch wasn't busy at all . Service was alright, our waiter was relatively attentive, but could have been a bit quicker since we were his only table. I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon. When asked how I wanted it cooked, I did Med-Well. When the burger came out it was more of a med-rare/ medium, but I figured i'd give it a try. When I bit into it a chunk of rare meat just fell onto the plate. The meat tasted old, unseasoned and almost fake. I couldnt even stomach another bite. I snacked on the fries and had one of my friends buffalo chicken sliders which was pretty tasty. When I server realized I hated the burger he took it and said he would let his manager know. The manager was pretty nice (but kind of awkward) he came over and apologized and offered something else. I was set from the ff and slider so I declined but they took its off the bill for me which I appreciated. As for the game section, it isnt as big as I originally thought. Its pretty fun though and you can have fun with pretty much any age. Overall it could be a good time for the family, avoid the burgers!!, I will go back, but definitely avoid the weekends, and any complicated food items.

Appetizers took 1 hour during happy hour and it wasn't even busy! Beers were kind of pricey and the service was not very good. Games were fun though!

Went with friends for a friends birthday. We had a table and never saw a waitress. We stood at the bar for a half an hour waiting to get drinks while the bartenders watched TV and talked to each other. Second time we went up we waited even longer! Nobody ever cleaned the plates and glasses off of our table. The bartender knocked over a beer only legs and didn't even apologize. We spent more time waiting for service than playing games. We will never go there again.

Food stinks at best. Games are for the 13 and up crowd for the most part. Coat check is $1 per item even after spending $80 on food and $80 on games. I honestly suggest the M3 in Farmington. It's just a better experience.

Where shall I start? First, your automated answering service that you run is useless and obnoxious. If zero is an option for an operator during business hours, an operator should be available. As a publicly traded company you are wanting to speak with customers because that could be potential new or continued business. Second, when you finally shut off your automated system, it would be appreciated if you were pleasant and helpful when you answered the phone. No one wants to hear an excuse about you not having access to information when it would take you putting them back on hold, and they have had the privilege of that experience since earlier in the evening. Lastly, it's 2015, when someone googles your information it should be correct. FYI, google provides information for the Utica store. Thank goodness the Utica staff is professional and friendly and willingly offers the information to the correction location.

This is a new D&B and it was insanely crowded and very loud. There were many empty tables, but we were told it would be a two hour wait before we could be seated. We eventually found seats at the bar, and the service was good. The drinks are overpriced. We ordered vodka on the rocks and it was one ounce over ice. Not a good pour when you are paying $9.00. The food was okay and typical bar food. Nothing special. If you like loud atmosphere and lots of video games and TV screens, this place is for you. Personally, I did not feel safe there. It was very crowded and hectic. Not a good place for small children. Had the atmosphere of a casino/tourist trap. If you want to have a good conversation while watching the game, this place is too loud.

Let me start off by saying the place is nice and a fun environment. The problem was the service Amy was our server, and it was apparent she was not vested in her job and had a poor work ethic. We had to literally get up and chase her down for straws and katsup. She was flippant in her attitude to us. Got orders mixed up and delivered other peoples food to us. We were scared they were gonna take it from us and give the same food to the rightful owners and not give them fresh food. We had a phillysteak sandwich sent back twice due to her taking the order wrong. We also completely rejected the macaroni with shrimp due to it being over salted. The dining experience was horrible. However if you eat before you go. It might be fun. I say go the other way. Thanks

We went to have some drinks and dinner. The service was terrible!! It took forever for the waitress to bring our drinks and take our order. We spent most our time in the restaurant area just waiting for our food. Then she had another waitress take over our table right before we were almost done... I think she knew we were not about to tip her and she wanted to go home I guess. Anyway the waitress that took over apologized over and over again and seemed much better but the damage was done. The kicker was when the new waitress told the manager to come over he/she did not want to take the time to talk to us. It was on a Wednesday and it was slow. Very disappointed!!

Was in town and heard great things about this place , real disappointed with this location, started with awful hostess who seemed upset that she had to seat us and do her job. Waitress on the other hand was great, but that didn't pass on to the cook, food was ok nothing really great to write about. only plus side was that the kids were able to stay entertained with games while we waited forever for food.

Horribly rude, aweful service. Came in after finals to celebrate with some friends. My friend knew the bartender and chatted for a minute. I got a water, then sat down at a booth. We proceeded to order food and talk about finals. The manager came up to our table after I had ordered from the waitress. He asked if we were from a certain school in the area. I said "yes", and then he stated that we had to leave. I asked why. He rudely explained that a group from our school had come in and been inappropriate, so he was not serving anyone else from the school. I was so flabbergasted. I asked him if he was joking and he said "no you need to leave right now." I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say. Never going back.

This is one of my favorite places to go for a fun outing or when I need to blow off some steam. The staff is generally courteous, and the game selection and pricing is good. I also enjoy several items on their food menu. My only complaint is that there's usually at least one malfunctioning game and the arcade area can become way too crowded at times. However, if you tell a staff member about any game issues, they give you your credits back.

This place is way overpriced a$12 burger and fries and the burger tasted like a cheap frozen patty with no flavor. If you're going to put zero effort into the food and use cheap frozen patties don't charge people like they are getting something fresh and with actual seasonings on it. The other people I went with also had mediocre food (another burger, a salad and nachos). One friend requested no onions and still had a few on his burger and we're talking caramelized onions that should've been easy for the "cooks" to spot. A pop is $3 btw so even if you're not drinking between mediocre food and a soda you're at $15 without games or dessert. Save yourself and your friends and eat somewhere better, especially for the cost. Game area is nothing special lots of duplicates and most prizes you get from.a $20 card are beyond crap.

In my opinion the only reason to go to this place is because it's new and permits you to drink copious amounts of beer in the form of a beer tower (not that it's cheap though). The obvious comparison here is Lucky Strikes (LS) in fountain walk Novi and it beats DB in essentially every category. There are more games, larger seating area and prettier waitresses at LS. I say all this with a bit of chagrin because counter to my criticism I go here all the time, my friends are always wanting to come here since there is so much more to do here than a bar.

The food here is amazing. The burger sliders on Hawaiian rolls are the bomb. The drink menu always has something new and fun to try.

The gaming floor isn't as big as the other Michigan location but it still had a few fun games. The bartenders are friendly and there are a few drink specials to be had. The food is a bit in the meh side. I think of this place as more Chuck E Cheese than a proper D&B.

Would be an awesome place if it was 18 and over only. So so so many kids running around, pushing eachother. I had one kid almost knock my beer out of my hand then told me to watch it. Seems like a lot of parents were getting drunk and letting their obnoxious kids run wild. Take your kids to a kids place. ..like chuck e cheese and let the adults have their fun. Isn't that what dave and busters was supposed to be? An Adult chuck e cheese? I vote the no kids rule! 11pm is WAY to late to allow children anyway. Most bars kick them out at 9. On another note. ..only 1 stall had toilet paper and no paper towel. We were there for 4 hours and it was never filled. Some of the staff had major attitude. Their personal conversations were more important than helping guests. Some of the games didn't work and the games that require 3D glasses...the glasses were broken.

I will admit that I reviewed below and I was a little tentative on my visit for lunch. My waitress (Amanda H) was very professional and gave outstanding customer service. She has the innate ability to know when the right time to approach the table and ask if anything is needed. The manager did come by my table to ensure that I enjoyed my meal. I had the tortilla soup and the philly steak sandwich. Food was great, the service was even better. Thank you - will make this a priority to visit when I am in Livonia.

If I could use 0 stars I would, we came in on a Sunday for a birthday with 6 people, after being told we HAD to get drinks or food as soon as we sat down through our server or we had to move from the table, we moved to play games. After a few games we went back to the table and ordered two drinks where we had to wait 15 minutes for a mixed drink and beer. After being hassled for Ids we cashed out and went to play more games, a few minutes later a few people in our group got drinks from the bar and our waitress came to us and told us " it's unfair for me for you to get drinks through the bar so get up." What a joke. We all work in the bar industry and will NEVER be back. Awful prices and awful servers

Never come on the weekends. We made that mistake this past weekend. Too busy and you can barely move around. Came in today for lunch and it was the worse decision I've been waiting for thirty minutes for a refill of water and still no sign of my server. My food order came out delivered by the manager, when asked if I needed anything else I responded yes "my order is not correct" he said ok and never came back. Another 30 minute wait no manager, no server, no corrected order. I finally get the attention of another server and she send my original server. Hoping she would correct everything she apologized that the cooks got it wrong took my food to the back came back with the same plate of cold food just the added ingredients. I told her she could not be serious!!!! Again, it was the cooks fault because all she does is serve the food. I would be a little more understanding of if it was the weekend but they have only been open for less than an hour on a Wednesday. Next time I will make the hour drive to Clinton Township if I decided to come back.

Just don't bother. 1. Honestly you're better off taking the kids to Marvelous Marvins in Farmington Hills or even Chuck E Cheese. I do feel obligated to say that I have taken kids early right when the place opens during the week and it wasn't too busy. However, this place is expensive. Like, really expensive. Got $50 on a game card and it was gone very quickly. 2. Have also gone with adults for a night out. Again, more expensive than your average bar/restaurant. The food was decent, nothing special. The worst part of this whole place by far is the service. It takes an obnoxiously long time to get the servers/bartender's attention, let alone to get your food or drink after ordering. Bottom line is this place is overrated, which is too bad because if they got their service act together it could be a bit better. 3. After about 9:00 there are no kids allowed. Understandable. It's a bar. I get it and actually appreciate that the adults get a chance to have some fun without kids running around. With that being said, this place gets rowdy. Like, really rowdy. Loud to the point where you can't sit in the bar area and have a conversation with the rest of your table. Rumor has it that it gets a little risky being here after dark, as people have allegedly been getting things stolen out of purses and cars broken into. Drinks also very expensive (seems to be a theme here) You're better off playing some games then running next door to Doc's to get your buzz on.

It took an hour to get our food. They messed up 2 orders and it took another 15 minutes to get the meal. There was a bone in my nephew's burger and the family bathroom was extremely unsanitary. Will not be back

Rude staff, under staffed. Dirty. Only a few games and some not working. Food is moderate to poor. If you enjoy a crowded kids casino filled with thugs then this is the place for you! Don't bother with belt for your pants, the norm is mid thigh. Staff was clueless. Never going back.

We recently had a large party event at the Livonia location (with a reservation mind you). I will say first, the food was good and the kids had fun in the game room. For the parents, we suffered from extremely slow and poor service. It was a large party - 30; and they assigned one waitress at first. It was 30 minutes to take the drink order. Later, they brought in help, but we did not have two full time wait staff to serve such a large group. Servers did not take care of the things like - drink napkins, removing plates, providing straws, etc. Also, no sense of urgency and very casual attitude. Several parents complained to the manager. Bad call D&B - staff accordingly - we spent a lot of money in there! PS - I wrote this review prior to reading the others - seems poor service is a theme.

We were here again for the second time and again - terrible service in the restaurant area. It wasn't busy at all so no excuse for slow service. We had to hunt someone down for refills twice and then also for the check. The game area is nice and clean though and that part is a lot of fun. The check in area is slow but if you keep your game card, you can use a kiosk to save time and a few bucks too.

Horrible Service! I called a month in advance and left a message for a coordinator to call me back so I could have my husbands 40th birthday party here. I have yet to receive a return call from a coordinator. I called this morning to see how they will accommodate a party of 25+ people and was told (after rudely being transferred to the manager, Dave) "Sorry, its a first come, first serve. Unless you one person is paying for everyone, I cannot help you! Really? They were going to get paid regardless! This was very poor customer service and I will be continuing my complaint to a person of higher authority than Dave. Its a shame because my little family of four has been here several times and spent tons of money at this establishment.

Waited 20 minutes for someone to greet our table, then waited another 20 minutes for our drinks which were sitting at the end of the bar melting. Food was good though, just bad service.

Service for food/drink: D Games: B Though the bartender was super friendly the other one kept coming over and distracting her talking smack about customers on the other side. NOT classy. We all heard you complain the whole time we were sitting there. We also waited over 20 minutes to be cashed out. Variety of games is great, but a bit pricey. I'd suggest the deal days for sure. The kids were very pleased with the prize selection and helpful gaming staff.
