My wife and I enjoyed a date night and she often expressed that their are not enough restaurants that have liver and onions on the menu. So I had heard through an acquaintance that this had what I was looking for. We walked in on a Saturday around 5pm and were seated right away. When we left about an hour later the wait looked to be a half hour. The lighting was a bit dark but it might be partially due to the decor because there were plenty of windows. I had the Bistro steak. The cut resembled a sizzler and was prepared medium. The steak itself was bland, it could use some spice, a rub, something. I had to use A1 to eat it, which to me is a sign that it was lacking in taste. I might try a different cut next time to see if it was an isolated incident or I am just to accustomed to my own homemade grilling. My wife had the liver and onions and enjoyed it thoroughly. She mentioned that she hadn't had this meal for a very long time and would be up for having it again. She asked for the recommended preparation for the meat so it wouldn't be tough. My wife often remarks how the smell of liver is overpowering and I could not tell after it was cooked. I also didn't expect it to look so much like a steak. I hadn't ever seen liver cooked, so I didn't know what to expect. Overall, the service was good. Drinks filled without asking, which is an important part of service for me. While I didn't enjoy my meal as much, seeing my wife enjoy a meal is of more importance. We will visit again.

On walking in to the Hudsonville Grille my first impression was that it is rather dark. It was especially obvious as it was a sunny afternoon when we went there. The server was prompt to attend to our drink requests and friendly. Once the food order was placed and received in good time the portions were generous on the plates. Two of us ordered salads and one a sandwich. Everything was done well and was tasty to eat. No complaints on the quality. When the server was asked about a missing item that had been forgotten it did take time to finally get it. But that was likely due to a lack of planning in the kitchen.

Solid place for breakfast. Enjoyed a Southwestern omelette today (made with four eggs) and sub'd out the bacon for turkey sausage. Also paid the up charge to do the hash browns over the toast. I like the turkey sausage much better than the pork links. They also have very good Benedict options here. Dinner is ok, but much better for breakfast. Insider tip: they have a frequent diner rewards program. After you sign up, give your phone number when you pay.

Great fried chicken and much nicer inside then it looks like on the outside. I was very surprised when I walked in! They should redo the out side to match the quality of the food and restaurant interior.

Had lunch here today on my way to Zeeland & Holland. It was OK...nothing too memorable. I can only hope breakfast or dinner is better. I had a Reuben sandwich, fries and some chicken tenders. All of it was prepared and not exactly fresh. So all in all...it filled the gap.

I've been here numerous times but today (Memorial Day) we came here for breakfast. They were busy but service was prompt and our food came out pretty quickly. I love their chocolate chip pancakes, the chips are small so the chocolate visit overpowering and they are nicely spread throughout the whole pancake, not just clustered in the middle. I tried the garden omelette for the first time and liked that as well.

Great server. Clean environment. Overpriced low quality. Chicken was tough, dry, bland, and boring. Pot roast was boring and tough. If you think this place has good food, then you have no pallet for flavor. Fast food joint might be a better choice.

We had beef nachos and the Michigan Cherry salad with a couple of beers. The food was good and the service was great!

The food was good. The wait was horrible. I arrived with 6 people we all ordered burgers or wraps. We waited 35 minutes for our food.

Place is a bit dark but the staff is friendly and courteous. Their breakfast options are tasty, and their lunches are savory. I think the best would probably be to come for dinner but I haven't done that yet. They do have a full bar which is pretty cool :) this is one of my regular spots when coming into Hudsonville.

You just have to have their shredded beef burrito. It is the best we have ever had. Actually all the food we have had there is very good. WE like the atmosphere, the help and the owners are really great people. The Hudsonville Grill is great for Hudsonville.

My husband ordered a build your own burger that was essentially a bacon swiss burger with jalapenos and peanut butter. He said it was amazing and very much like at a place we used to frequent when we lived in Indianapolis. I ordered the smothered chicken with the tomato and beef soup and a baked potato. The soup was absolutely amazing and while I didn't touch the potato, the chicken and spanish rice, along with their chipotle ranch, was definitely something I would get again. They were offering buy one get one half off, so we took advantage of that and the little one had mac and cheese with a fruit cup and she was very happy. Service was great and we will definitely go back again.

First timer. Came here because of reviews and not disappointed. I did not think it was "dark" at all. We had the burrito (which is huge and tasty) and a Reuben sandwich. The Reuben was on good marble rye bread and had the right portion meat, kraut and dressing. Very nice kids menu that had 2 levels, one for smaller kids and one for when they need a bit more than Mac and cheese. Free WiFi is always appreciated. Our server Ginny was great and it is so nice to see a manager who is not afraid to help bus tables. Would definitely come back!

Went here with a friend on Friday and had a pretty good time. The food was pretty good. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it tasted pretty good, it could have used a little more BBQ sauce. Also it came with coleslaw on it which I hadn't wanted, but the waitress was very nice and took it back. My friend had the chicken quesadilla and she said it was good, but didn't have a lot of seasoning and definitely needed the salsa to give it some kick. My only complaint was that our waitress seemed kid of swamped and it took her awhile to come get our order and deliver our food and checks, but she was apologetic about it.

I had pot roast with mashed potatoes. My wife had chicken topped with cheese/bacon on wild rice. Everything tasted excellent and the presentation was pleasing. Venue was cozy and inviting. Friends also enjoyed their meals. Best of all...serving sizes were generous and price was great. 6 of us ate for $80. Will definitely go back.

This is the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. Everything was awesome and Callie was an awesome waitress. Highly recommend this place. You must try the chicken tenders and nachos. Had the breakfast burrito for breakfast just awesome.

Extremely slow service. I went here for lunch and it took 15 minutes before my server came to get my drink order. I ordered my food at that time as well. Then it took 30 minutes to get my food. It should not take an hour just to grab a quick meal for lunch during the week.

Super yummy food, great service! Not my favorite atmosphere (a little dark, especially for lunch) but always happy with my meal.

Great menu, great service. Recently renovated, much improved. Favorite dish I've tried is the pot roast but have not been disappointed with anything I've had so far. Especially loved a blue cheese chips appetizer we had once but it's a featured menu item, not always available. If I'd make one change it'd be to make that a regular menu item. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something in the Hudsonville area.

I totally misjudged this place when I saw their Valu-Pak ads. Then I finally tried them out. I've been there twice at the time of this posting and I'm totally impressed with the food quality and friendly service. What a great place to grab a bite and hang out! :) Prices are cheap to moderate.

Waitress was great, nice place for Hudsonville. Rolls we're fresh and hot, good draft beer and the dinners were excellent. Olive burger, fish sandwich and pot roast were excellent. Fries were crisp and golden. Only downsides were the clam chowder was good-not great (but what do you expect in Michigan, we're not in Seattle) and the table was a bit sticky.

New Owners made all the difference! Thought we would never step foot in this place again, but they have great food now. The new name is HUDSONVILLE GRILLE. This place has good food. I highly recommend it. I know, I know, my first review was not good. But the food is completely different now, different owners. We had their salad and my daughters rated it at the top of their list (they are salad experts-as you know), chicken salad sandwich-excellent (their specialty -very tasty), burrito was good, fried chicken was decent, club sandwich was excellent, hamburger - good. Noticed quite a few of the other customers getting the beef, but have not tried this yet. We will be visiting here on a regular basis. These folks deserve credit for turning this thing around.

I wanted to like this place like everyone else but I didn't :( Soup and bread rolls were way to salty and I like salt but WOW! they sure over did it. The ribs were nice and tender, they were delicious but wasn't a fan of the sauce they used.

Long story short: I wanted to get dinner, and I had a lot of special requests. I had called other places in the area and was told "we don't do x, y, or z" and that had been the end of it. The managers at Hudsonville took the time to listen to me and accommodated my request. I have interacted with many staff here and found them all to be friendly and professional. The managers, especially. We had dinner here with several family members, everybody loved the food. I highly recommend. We should all support places that actually offer REAL customer service, something harder and harder to find.
